Smash Bros Brawl
One of the most enjoyed games by all hardcore Nintendo fans, Smash Bros. Brawl is the newest version of the Smash bros series. It’s bolder, more exciting and just better all round.

There is a lot to do on your own; new challenges mode gives you many little missions to do singly or with a partner. The original classic mode is still involved with you choosing a character, then proceeding, to tackle stages until you meet the boss Master Hand. Depending on the level of difficulty you pick the boss changes; the higher the level the more health he has and even involves his friend, Crazy hand. Defeat Master hand and his friend and you get a prize, a cool trophy of your character.
The new addition of allstar mode opens up a whole new wardrobe of trophies, great final smash trophies. To get this fine reward, all you have to do is the easy task of defeating every character without dying once, simple enough. There is help though; three hearts will cure your health completely when you want in between battles. With a two player option you can collect all the trophies in double quick time, as this gets you both trophies.
The fabulous Sub Space Emissary(SSE) is a brand spanking new addition as you journey through a 2d plat former to stop the Sub Space army. Add members to your team as you go and even work with a friend in two player mode. Find unlikely partnerships like Mario with Pit, Diddy with Fox and so on. Fight through several stages including hard bosses to challenge the leader of the bad guys, Tabuu. This mode is generally great and allows you to get trophies and stickers to add to your collection.

Many changes have been made to the graphics of the game. One point is that Mario has been promoted to real denim overalls. More detailed backgrounds show great texture to give the game that little extra touch. Sounds and music suit the game well whether it be the cry of Kirby as he goes out or the grunt of Ike as he swings his Great Sword of Ragnell.
The multi player is what propels this game into the 10/10 score zone. The thrill of four way brawls is almost overwhelming, with time, stock and coin modes you’re sure to be entertained for weeks on end. Time adds your scores throughout a match with kills being +1 and deaths -1, the winner is the brawler at the end with the highest score. Stock is a personal favourite in my house hold, it is basically lives which means when you run out... well you’re out. Coin is a timed match where you collect coins by beating up your opponents, with the richest snob at the end being the winner. Even playing on your own against the computer is great... despite the fact they gang up on you a bit.
With a total of 35 characters from almost all Nintendo games you’re bound to find a character you like; whether it be a hard hitter, or a speed specialist.
This is well and truly a great game with a nice idea of collecting trophies, amazing single player, and finishing the challenge wall. It could be considered one of the greatest game Nintendo have ever made. The main highlight though is the multiplayer, this almost perfect mode will get you hooked and enjoying. All the different modes and options you can choose to add even more tension, such as hiding your health or putting items on frantic. It all adds up to create a truly wonderful game with hours and hours of joyful, exciting and also frustrating times.

Final Rating
10/10

Mario
Final Smash: Mario Finale
Power: 7
Speed: 6
Moves: 8
A great character to get started but doesn’t have the best of Final Smashes.

Luigi
Final Smash: Negative Zone
Power: 6
Speed: 7
Moves: 8
A good all-round character with a secret one hit KO move but slides around alot.

Peach
Final Smash: Peach Blossom
Power: 6
Speed: 7
Moves: 6
In my view, not a good brawler she’s weak and has bad moves although her Final smash is pretty good.

DK
Final Smash: Kong beat
Power: 8
Speed: 5
Moves: 7
A very powerful monkey indeed but can be caught out by faster enemies due to his slowness.

Link
Final Smash: Triforce Slash
Power: 7
Speed: 6
Moves: 6
A good brawler with a great Final Smash but his special moves let him down a bit.

Toon Link
Final Smash: Triforce Slash
Power: 6
Speed: 7
Moves: 6
The Luigi to a Mario, Weaker but faster. However his aerial moves are more powerful then Link’s.

Kirby
Final Smash: Cook Kirby
Power: 6
Speed: 7
Moves: 7
Fairly weak but can use other characters special move with his inhale attack, which also gets him to wear different clothes.

Pikachu
Final Smash: Volt Tackle
Power: 6
Speed: 7
Moves: 8
He has great moves for cheeky kills and good damage but his Final Smash could be better.

Fox
Final Smash: Land Master
Power: 7
Speed: 8
Moves: 7
Very fast and powerful and a nice Final Smash as well but his sideways special move can result in an easy self destruct.

Falco
Final Smash: Land Master
Power: 7
Speed: 7
Moves: 7
Extremely similar to fox but isn’t as fast but can jump considerably higher than most other brawlers.

Wolf
Final Smash: Land Master
Power: 8
Speed: 6
Moves: 7
The final addition to the Starfox trio and has more power yet less speed. He still has the same Final Smash though.

Samus/Zero suit Samus
Final Smash: Zero Laser/Power suit Samus
Power: 7/6
Speed: 6/7
Moves: 7/6
Samus loses her suit after using her Final Smash but can be regained by using a Smash ball. Zero suit is faster yet weaker.

Zelda/Sheik
Final Smash: Light Arrow
Power: 7/7
Speed: 6/7
Moves: 8/6
Zelda has much better moves but Sheiks brawling stats are slightly higher but it depends on who you like.

Bowser
Final Smash: Giga Bowser
Power: 9
Speed: 5
Moves: 7
Bowser is an extremely powerful, hard hitter with a sweet Final Smash where he grows 5x bigger than usual.

Yoshi
Final Smash: Super Dragon
Power: 6
Speed: 7
Moves: 7
Fairly weak but is fast with a nice Final Smash that is ver powerful. Yoshi has a large jump that can be extremely useful.

Ice Climbers
Final Smash: Iceberg
Power: 7
Speed: 6
Moves: 7
Great when the two are together but if your friend dies you have no recovery move. Ice Climbers have a good Final Smash to inflict high damage.

Pit
Final Smash: Palutena’s Army
Power: 6
Speed: 7
Moves: 8
Pit has a rubbish Final Smash but makes up for it with some good and useful moves to protect yourself and damage foes.

Wario
Final Smash: Wario-Man
Power: 8
Speed: 6
Moves: 7
Wario has a good Final Smash as it dramatically increases all his stats. His moves aren’t great but still get the job done.

Ike
Final Smash: Great Aether
Power: 9
Speed: 6
Moves: 8
One of my favourite characters, Ike has awesome moves and a mean, powerful hit. His Great Aether is a great Final Smash but he is a bit on the slow side.

Pokémon Trainer
Squirtle/Ivysaur/Charizard
Final Smash: Triple Finish
Power: 6/7/8
Speed: 8/7/6
Moves: 7/7/7
Pokémon Trainer is great as you get the choice of 3 in 1. The Final Smash is great but can be evaded fairly easily.

Diddy Kong
Final Smash: Rocketbarrel Barrage
Power: 6
Speed: 8
Moves: 7
An extremely good Final Smash where he gets his barrel jetpack and shoots his enemy brawlers with exploding peanuts. Good speed but not the strongest brawler.

Meta Knight
Final Smash: Galaxia Darkness
Power: 6
Speed: 7
Moves: 7
A good Final Smash and nice moves but isn’t very powerful so you’re only eliminating brawlers at high health.

Snake
Final Smash: Grenade Launcher
Power: 8
Speed: 6
Moves: 7
Very powerful but has a few weaker moves that aren’t very strong. Snake’s Final Smash is good for a sneaky kill on low health.

Lucas
Final Smash: PK Starstorm
Power: 7
Speed: 7
Moves: 8
A great brawler with good moves and a nice Final Smash but his recovery move can catch out amateur brawlers as you need to hit yourself back on stage.

Sonic
Final Smash: Super Sonic
Power: 6
Speed: 10
Moves: 6
The fastest in the game but very weak, but is sometimes too fast that you lose control. Has one of the best Final Smashes but relies on getting it to get most of his kills.

King Dedede
Final Smash: Waddle Dee Army
Power: 9
Speed: 4
Moves: 7
He is stupidly slow meaning you basically have to book your moves in advance to get a hit. Very powerful though meaning if you do hit it does major damage.

Olimar & Pikmin
Final Smash: End of Day
Power: 7
Speed: 7
Moves: 8
A good all-round brawler, his moves are great but take a while to get used to and needs a good player to be used properly. A great Final Smash inflicts loads of damage and sends brawlers flying.

Ness
Final Smash: PK Starstorm
Power: 7
Speed: 7
Moves: 8
Almost identical to Lucas except a couple of different moves. He has the same Final Smash and tricky recovery move.

Marth
Final Smash: Critical Hit
Power: 7
Speed: 7
Moves: 6
A fairly good brawler with a great one hit KO Final Smash but if done in the air it can be fatal unless you are accurate with your strike.

Captain Falcon
Final Smash: Blue falcon
Power: 7
Speed: 8
Moves: 7
A very nice final smash indeed and a good combination of speed and power. He doesn’t have the best of recovery moves though.

Lucario
Final Smash: Aura Storm
Power: ?
Speed: 7
Moves: 7
His power varies depending on how high his health is; the higher the stronger. The Final Smash is good but isn’t very manuverable. So live on the edge and be strong or be safe yet weak.

ROB
Final Smash: Diffusion Beam
Power: 7
Speed: 7
Moves: 7
An all-round brawler with some decent moves and a pretty good Final Smash as he goes crazy and shoots laser beams from his eyes.

Mr Game & Watch
Final Smash: Octopus
Power: 7
Speed: 7
Moves: 8
Very good moves and a sneaky hammer that randomly changes type with even a one hit KO. An unlikely Final Smash as he turns into an octopus and terrorises enemy brawlers.

Ganondorf
Final Smash: Beast Ganon
Power: 9
Speed: 5
Moves: 8
Extremely powerful with great moves that can blast your enemies way out of the screen. However, Ganondorf has the disability of being slow and an easy target.

Jigglypuff
Final Smash: Puff Up
Power: 5
Speed: 7
Moves: 6
The old fluff ball returns and is still as bad as ever. With weak attacks and average speed the only thing that can salvage this brawler is its Final Smash.
