A list of all the gargoyles
1 Bandit Coast
Go along the narrow outcrop, which is accessed from the southern exit of the loop near the center of the map. Enter the cave near the end of the path with a chest inside and look to your left. The gargoyle is tucked away in a crevice.
2 Bandit Coast
The gargoyle is on top of the ruins where you fight a highwayman for the first time. Go in between the barrels and cart, up the stairs and on top of the ruins looking up look to your right. The gargoyle is there.
3 Bloodstone
Head to the boathouse where a boat is being built. Before going in through the door, look between the boathouse and the house on the left - the gargoyle is resting on the side of the rock face to the right of a plant. You may also find it by walking down the alley by the clothing store and looking up the hill towards the nearest house.
4 Bloodstone
On Lion's Head Isle, the gargoyle is located left of the big waterfall on the path leading out of the island area (after you dive in). You must do the "Treasure Island of Doom!" quest to get here.
5 Bloodstone
On the lowest level, as far south as you can go, on the side of a crane. This gargoyle is easiest to find if you are coming back to the town from the cave involved in the above-mentioned quest.
6 Bloodstone
On the rocks, out to sea. Jump in the sea at the north side of the harbour. Swim out a distance to find it on the rocks on the right hand side.
7 Bower Lake
Slightly north of the Brightwood exit, on the archway of a set of ruins above a silver chest.
8 Bower Lake
Now walk through the archway and turn around to face the other side of it, this one's sitting very high up at the top of the right tower.
9 Bower Lake
South of the Bower Lake Old Tomb, on the nearest ruin. (Right where you're about to swim to the little island.)
10 Bower Lake
This one is inside the Tomb of Heroes. The gargoyle is located above the door right after the large room with a pool in the middle. Just go through the far door and turn around. (There is also an augment is this room)
11 Bower Lake
The Gargoyle is near the waterfall. Walk across the bridge leading towards Bowerstone but turn left and head up along the edge, when you passed by the waterfall you'll see a partially grassy slope down to the water. The Gargoyle is on it.
12 Bowerstone Cemetery
After going through the main cemetery, go up the steps, and bear left (not up the next stairs) to the tomb at the end. Stand back to see the Gargoyle, which is up and slightly to the right.
13 Bowerstone Cemetery
Found up the next set of stairs from the Gargoyle mentioned above. Go up the next set of stairs above it, follow the path to the middle of the area, and look behind you. You will see it above the tomb.
14 Bowerstone Cemetery
Head to the top of the cemetery. On the steps, turn around, and shoot it on the left.
15 Bowerstone Cemetery
Found on the big wall behind the closed gate to the path through the broken fence near the main cemetery. Stand by the closed gate, and you will hear him. He is up high on the left, on the wall's wooden parapet. It is easier to hit after buying the Cemetery Mansion, which opens the gate and gives you a clear shot.
You can also hit it if you move to the far right, close against the fence. You can still see its eyes from here (though not much more than that) and the gate/fence will not be obstructing your view
16 Bowerstone Cemetery
Shelley Crypt: After passing the invisible pathway, before leaving the room, you can turn right onto a ledge. The gargoyle is directly in front of you on the wall and behind a torch.
17 Bowerstone Market
On the carriage side of the bridge, in the eastern outer wall, up the stairs to the left of the Bower Lake exit, turn right and go as far as the walkway takes you it will be up on one of the arches.
18 Bowerstone Market
On the carriage area side, down by the riverfront on the east side of the river. Go through the small tunnel under the bridge. Right after you come out from under the bridge look up and to the right on the wall.
19 Bowerstone Market
On the second floor of the furniture shop in the town square. Found in the furthest room upstairs. Go all the way in and turn around to face the door through which you entered.
20 Bowerstone Market
In the carriage garage (east side of the bridge). You can either take the carriage somewhere to get in and then fast travel back, or line up the shot carefully between the carriage and the carriage area wall.(The shot is extremely difficult to line up, while the carriage is in place, the carriage will go once you have come back from the Tattered Spire)
21 Bowerstone Old Town
On the side of the crane on the side of the big warehouse. It is on the way to the exits to both Rookridge and Bowerstone Cemetery. If you stand near the archway entrance to old town and look up toward the big warehouse, you should see it. If you fast travel to Bowerstone Old Town, specifically the Cemetery Road, it's where you're standing upon arrival. Just look up.
22 Bowerstone Old Town
On the stairs inside of The Felling Residence. Enter Old Town by way of Bowerstone Market, take the first street on your left. The house is towards the end of that road on the right side. Head inside, its on the wall behind you as you head up the stairs.
23 Brightwood
Above an arch on the way to Westcliff (behind you when going there). It is near the south-western-most water on the map.
24 Brightwood
In the Forsaken Fortress minizone (hang left from Bandit Coast entrance, directly past the archway small plaza with highwaymen on the left). When you enter the castle in the zone, take the first right and walk across the curving parapet. On the right side directly next to a standing area on the bridge. It is on the top of a broken column at about even level with you.
25 Brightwood
Behind you as you drop down in Archon's Knot. To get there, vault inside it from the broken wall next to the Cullis Gate you open to get to Wraithmarsh.
26 Brightwood
On exiting Archon's Knot, follow your dog to the chest containing the Daichi on the right. Look down from here towards a black arched structure in the middle of the lake and you should see the gargoyle. Alternatively, follow the path from Brightwood tower to reach the structure in the lake (on the south-eastern island on the map).
27 Brightwood
After buying the Brightwood Tower for 250,000 gold, stand by Garth's bed, the portal to chesty, and look out the window to see the Gargoyle; shoot the Gargoyle right through the glass. You do not have to buy the tower if you don't want to though. If you stand away from the tower near the cullis gate, a gun with a range of at least 60 can reach the gargoyle from there. He's on the left of the top of the tower you should see his noise sticking out.
28 Fairfax Gardens
In Lady Grey’s Tomb (left side of the castle) in Fairfax Gardens, as you go in and down the steps. Before you jump down, little to the right on top of rock pile.
29 Fairfax Gardens
Above the entrance to the Fairfax Castle.
30 Fairfax Gardens
In the Castle Fairfax, in the library above the door (You will need to buy the Castle after you beat the game before you get this Gargoyle).
31 Guild Cave
In the big open cavern with water and lots of bridges. On the highest part of the island with the stalagmites and the stalactites.
32 Oakfield
Behind the house of the sculptor in Oakfield, central north of the map.
33 Oakfield
On the bridge opposite The Sandgoose.
34 Oakfield
On the ruins on the north east lake; top right corner of the map.
35 Rookridge
On the right before you go in the Hobbe Cave after making the big dive down from the broken bridge.
36 Rookridge
In the Hobbe Cave, in the cylindrical room with the wooden spiral walkway round the outside. Go to the top, and face away from the 'door', and the gargoyle is in front of you, up rather high.
37 Rookridge
Go upstairs of the Rookridge Inn and follow the rail tracks. Keep going to the second set of tracks, following the path. The gargoyle is at the top of the pulley tower.
38 Rookridge
At the entrance to the Temple of Shadows (north west of map), go beyond the spiral stairs to the end of the room. there is raised half circular platform that has two 'imp' statues. The gargoyle is on the right side in the corner.
39 Rookridge
Inside the Temple of Shadows - Make your way into the room with the Sacrificial Wheel. In the chamber with the desks to the left of the main chamber. The gargoyle is above the door inside this chamber.
40 Westcliff
When coming from Brightwood Road there is a side path on the left for a treasure chest. Go to the treasure chest and look behind you. The gargoyle is on the Stonehenge-looking rock.
41 Westcliff
Go to the top of the ruined tower structure, before you cross the first bridge (there's a split in the path, take the right one). Climb up to the chest, then walk through the middle of the two pillars on the right of it, Turn to your left and look in between the two columns behind the chest. The gargoyle should be in view.
42 Westcliff
Before you go in to Howling Halls from the Southern side of the lake, stand at the top of the stairs in the ruins (look behind you, up and left.
43 Westcliff
In the far right corner of the large room with the spike pit in Howling Halls. (It is a very large room so don't worry if you do not find it straight away).
44 Westcliff
To the right of the gravel path down to the docks. Stop on the first wooden part, and look up at the cliff.
45 Wraithmarsh
In the building opposite the cage you were locked in in your first visit to Wraithmarsh, on the dividing wall directly to the left of the door you enter.

Behind the building as you cross the first swamp into Oakvale (It looks like an old carriage building).

Take the left path, up across through the wooden tunnel bridge, the gargoyle is located at the next set of ruins. It is on the back of the pillars on the right side before you go up the steps.

After the fog-filled graveyard, just before you go under the next bridge, turn around. It is on one of the tombs on the right.

Above the door in the final room of Twinblade’s Tomb, past the spiral staircase. Can first be found during the "Love Hurts" quest.

Silver key locations
Bower Lake
Available at start
w On the Bower Lake Tomb Island, just behind the entrance to the tomb.
w Near the Tomb of Heroes' entrance. Using the pause menu, while in the Bower Lake Region, look at the map. On the right side of the map, you should see a section of water apart from the main lake, East of Hero Hill. Stay close to the wall (the map's boundary) and move South, you should find the Key near some trees.
Available after Spire quest
w In the Gypsy Camp, opposite the general store between the stone cutter and the caravan you start the game with, there is a gap in the fence, go left up a dirt track into a ruined tower. The path doesn't open till late in the storyline.
w Inside the Tomb of Heroes. You'll enter an area with a pool of water in the centre of the floor. Simply walk through the area into the arched doorway follow the path until you meet Charlie then look behind the pillars on the right.
Bowerstone Market
w In the cellar of the Furniture Shop. To get this key you must unlock the gate by shooting the light above the door you entered.
w As you enter Bowerstone from the Lake entrance, you cross a river. Simply climb into the river and swim to the corner near a dock platform underneath the carriage house. There is a dive point directly under the platform's steps that takes you to the key.
w There is a small alley by the side of the inn at the main square. Enter the alleyway and your dog will find a dig spot at the end with a key inside. You need the dog, and the dog must have at least four stars in treasure hunting.
Old Town
w At The Invisible Hand house there is a key upstairs on the balcony. The house is near the exit to Rookridge to the North of map.
w In the cellar next to the house called the Helping Hand. This is next to the Gift and Food stalls.
w In The Old Town Warehouse behind some crates under the stairs.
Cemetery
w Near the starting point for the "Civilian Displacement" job. It's the top left area of the map. The key is in a broken shed.
w The key is in the second to last turning up the hill at the bottom of the map.
w Go to the top of the Cemetery Mansion and the key is there.
w Shelley Crypt - You'll need to have purchased the Cemetery Mansion and then enter the crypt. Go down the spiral stairs and drop down. You'll enter a room with coffins, if you walk up the slopes by the coffins you'll see a crack in the wall. Smash this open to find the key.
Fairfax Gardens
w In tunnel under the castle entrance - you can get here by going under the stairs.
w Lady Grey's Tomb - after dropping down and making your way into the main chamber, upon exiting this area you'll enter some tunnels and then a set of stairs, the key is on your right. This is just before the huge set of stairs you climb.
Brightwood
w On top of a collapsed bridge (SW of map, near the bandit camp), the key is on the side close to the Fortress.
w In between two horse statues at the NE path of the map. If you're coming from Bower Lake it's the first left turn near the signpost.
w In a corner of the bandit camp. Simply head to the bandit camp which is the South part of the map between the broken bridge and the lake with the tower. Follow the path to the gate that leads to the tower and the key is on the right in a small turning before it.
Available after the Spire quest.
w Archon's Knot - to get here you need to climb up Brightwood tower to the 1st floor with the Cullis Gate. From this level if you walk to the sides near the Cullis Gate, the camera view will auto change and show a hole you can vault into. This leads into Archon's Knot. Once inside you'll go past a spike trap floor puzzle and then onto a second puzzle with a statue. You need to Bloodlust Roar at the statue then go up stairs and the key is on the left side of the spike floor, you must follow the Flit Switch and open the next door before you can retrieve the key.
w Inside the Brightwood Farm Cellar, directly behind the shack, there is a portcullis that needs a key. You can either buy the property to get the key from the upstairs drawer, or simply (if rather gruesomely) dig it up from the dead Giles' grave. Once inside there is an area with statues, pillars and the key.
Westcliff
w On the south part of the map there is a ruined camp - inside the wooden hut is a key.
w Inside the Howling Halls (west of map) you'll come to a spiral staircase. At the top in one of the alcoves is a key.
w On the beach to the right behind some crates.
w In the same water where you can enter the Old Tin Mine, this is near the archway entrance to Howling Halls - it's the left part of the middle body of water on the map. Swim along the water and you'll see a key on a raised grassy section along the rock face. To get in the water, dive from near the Howling Halls or from the top of the tower at the other end of the gorge (near where you meet Lilith).
Oakfield
w As you enter Oakfield coming from Rookridge, the second house on the right has a key inside.
w As you go towards the Temple of Light, if you look at your map you'll see a small lake on the right side of the map. Follow the path here and you'll see the key next to the path by the lake.
w Go through Oakfield until you come to the Sculptor's workshop by the waterside area. The house next door to the sculpture's workshop is called Porridge Cottage. If you go inside and up the stairs you'll find a key. The house lies at the northern tip of the land next to the sea in the middle of the map.
w After the scene at the planted tree and the end of the mission with Hammer, follow the path and by some bales of hay there is a key. It's the west side of the map next to the sea. The bales are near Luminous Cottage.
Echo Mine
Available after the Spire.
w As you enter and follow the path to the open room, follow the path to the right and you'll see the key on your right.
Wellspring Cave
w Once you enter the cave with Hannah and go through the first door, you'll see a key behind the platform you stand on. Or as you enter the circular room with the chains, take the left hand door and once you reach the room with the statue, it's behind the raised platform and steps.
Rookridge
w Travelling along Bowerstone Road, south part of the map, you'll be attacked by bandits. Just past this area and following the road, you'll see a wooden walkway with a statue at the end. There is a key at the base of the statue.
w From the back exit from the Rookridge Inn (upstairs), follow the path to reach the old station. The path goes past a wooden shack next to a rail track. If you follow the track to the end (to the right) next to the shack you'll find a key.
w Hobbe Cave - Inside the cave in a narrow area there is a dig spot next to the path/entrance with a key inside (the dig spot looks like a black mark on the ground). It is just after (or before, depending on which way you're coming from) the large open room with stone walkways, fire torches and a misty bottom. This room is just as you enter from Rookridge (down the ladder) or the last room if you entered from the Gemstone Grotto side. It's a smallish circular shaped room with glowing fungus. You will need to make sure your dog skill is at least level 3 otherwise the dig spot won't appear. Buy or find books to increase dog rating.
w You'll exit the Hobbe Cave and come to an area which is on the other side of the broken bridge you dived off earlier. You'll see a yellow and brown coach house with a path that leads around it. Follow the path and there is a key behind it.
w Gemstone Grotto (Far NW of map - go through Hobbe Cave and swim across lake - or just after you have dived off the broken bridge swim to the far left and follow path) - Once inside, follow the pathway and you'll come to a single chest before you drop down. In the room just before the chest there is a path to the left with a visible key in front of a statue.
w Inside the Temple of Shadows - Follow the left pathway (from the room with the wheel) to the main chamber (a room with a misty floor) there is a key behind the chair and desk.
Wraithmarsh
w Inside the abandoned farm building on the top floor, just after crossing the lake. Its the first building on left as you approach the Drowned Farm area with the well in the middle.
w As you make your way through an area with tombs you can't enter, there is a pool of fog before you with several statues and coffins around it. On your left is a key in an open tomb.
w After the water area where you defeated the 2nd banshee you'll enter another flooded area with a green hut. There is a path next to this hut that leads to a key; it's the right-hand path if you're facing the hut's steps.
w Inside Twinblade's tomb, once you navigate the puzzles to reach the coffin room, there is a key inside this room on the right of the coffin.

w There is a 7th key in the Shadow Court making the total of 51 keys. During the fight in Wraithmarsh, when you have to meet with the Shadow Court, in the room were you have to fight various Shadows (Hobbes, Bandits, etc.) there is a fake or cracked wall on the back left side when you enter the room.
Bloodstone
w As you enter Bloodstone from Wraithmarsh, you'll see a crypt on your right with an expression statue - perform the correct corresponding expression {Pick Up Line} and a crypt door on the right further up opens for you. Inside is a key. However, some players have reported the statue posed without a face, rendering it impossible to retrieve the key.
w As you enter the Sinkhole there is a key in front of the drop down point. You wont be able to reach it until you finish the related quest and raise the water level. Once you return to Salty Jack go back inside the Sinkhole to now reach the key.
w Lion's Head Isle - after you take the ship to find the 10 bits of treasure you'll drop into a water area around a large tree. To exit this area you need to climb up the grassy areas near the waterfalls. As you ascend and before you enter the stone archway there is a silver key on a lower ledge, you need to drop down to reach it.
w Inside the cellar next to the Furniture shop - kick or hit the orb to open the cross door. The shop lies at the east part of the map. This is another key that is hard to get because of a glitch: many users have reported finding the flit switch trapped within its pillar upon first entry. The switch is lit, but it cannot be activated. Combined with the above crypt glitch, this has made it nearly impossible for many players to get the achievement even with the 51st key.
w Go to the waterfront and follow the docks all the way to the end where there is a crane (far west of map). Jump in the water below the crane to find a dive spot. The key is in the dive spot. Note: There are a few cranes around Bloodstone, it's the one far out in the bay. The dive spot can be a bit difficult to see at night.
The Bandit Coast
w There's not much deviation here so about halfway down the path on the left. It's before the path turns back on itself on the map .
The Guild Cave
w First big room when entering from Bower lake. In far left corner.
51st Key
Due to an error at Lionhead Studios, a 51st silver key can be found near the ruins of Oakvale. It is unknown whether this was done on purpose or not. It can be beneficial to the player however and can be used to get "the hoarder" achievement if they have missed one in a place which you cannot return. There is some contestion over whether or not it counts to your total. This key counts towards your total.
Bower Lake
Available at start
w On the Bower Lake Tomb Island, just behind the entrance to the tomb.
w Near the Tomb of Heroes' entrance. Using the pause menu, while in the Bower Lake Region, look at the map. On the right side of the map, you should see a section of water apart from the main lake, East of Hero Hill. Stay close to the wall (the map's boundary) and move South, you should find the Key near some trees.
Available after Spire quest
w In the Gypsy Camp, opposite the general store between the stone cutter and the caravan you start the game with, there is a gap in the fence, go left up a dirt track into a ruined tower. The path doesn't open till late in the storyline.
w Inside the Tomb of Heroes. You'll enter an area with a pool of water in the centre of the floor. Simply walk through the area into the arched doorway follow the path until you meet Charlie then look behind the pillars on the right.
Bowerstone Market
w In the cellar of the Furniture Shop. To get this key you must unlock the gate by shooting the light above the door you entered.
w As you enter Bowerstone from the Lake entrance, you cross a river. Simply climb into the river and swim to the corner near a dock platform underneath the carriage house. There is a dive point directly under the platform's steps that takes you to the key.
w There is a small alley by the side of the inn at the main square. Enter the alleyway and your dog will find a dig spot at the end with a key inside. You need the dog, and the dog must have at least four stars in treasure hunting.
Old Town
w At The Invisible Hand house there is a key upstairs on the balcony. The house is near the exit to Rookridge to the North of map.
w In the cellar next to the house called the Helping Hand. This is next to the Gift and Food stalls.
w In The Old Town Warehouse behind some crates under the stairs.
Cemetery
w Near the starting point for the "Civilian Displacement" job. It's the top left area of the map. The key is in a broken shed.
w The key is in the second to last turning up the hill at the bottom of the map.
w Go to the top of the Cemetery Mansion and the key is there.
w Shelley Crypt - You'll need to have purchased the Cemetery Mansion and then enter the crypt. Go down the spiral stairs and drop down. You'll enter a room with coffins, if you walk up the slopes by the coffins you'll see a crack in the wall. Smash this open to find the key.
Fairfax Gardens
w In tunnel under the castle entrance - you can get here by going under the stairs.
w Lady Grey's Tomb - after dropping down and making your way into the main chamber, upon exiting this area you'll enter some tunnels and then a set of stairs, the key is on your right. This is just before the huge set of stairs you climb.
Brightwood
w On top of a collapsed bridge (SW of map, near the bandit camp), the key is on the side close to the Fortress.
w In between two horse statues at the NE path of the map. If you're coming from Bower Lake it's the first left turn near the signpost.
w In a corner of the bandit camp. Simply head to the bandit camp which is the South part of the map between the broken bridge and the lake with the tower. Follow the path to the gate that leads to the tower and the key is on the right in a small turning before it.
Available after the Spire quest.
w Archon's Knot - to get here you need to climb up Brightwood tower to the 1st floor with the Cullis Gate. From this level if you walk to the sides near the Cullis Gate, the camera view will auto change and show a hole you can vault into. This leads into Archon's Knot. Once inside you'll go past a spike trap floor puzzle and then onto a second puzzle with a statue. You need to Bloodlust Roar at the statue then go up stairs and the key is on the left side of the spike floor, you must follow the Flit Switch and open the next door before you can retrieve the key.
w Inside the Brightwood Farm Cellar, directly behind the shack, there is a portcullis that needs a key. You can either buy the property to get the key from the upstairs drawer, or simply (if rather gruesomely) dig it up from the dead Giles' grave. Once inside there is an area with statues, pillars and the key.
Westcliff
w On the south part of the map there is a ruined camp - inside the wooden hut is a key.
w Inside the Howling Halls (west of map) you'll come to a spiral staircase. At the top in one of the alcoves is a key.
w On the beach to the right behind some crates.
w In the same water where you can enter the Old Tin Mine, this is near the archway entrance to Howling Halls - it's the left part of the middle body of water on the map. Swim along the water and you'll see a key on a raised grassy section along the rock face. To get in the water, dive from near the Howling Halls or from the top of the tower at the other end of the gorge (near where you meet Lilith).
Oakfield
w As you enter Oakfield coming from Rookridge, the second house on the right has a key inside.
w As you go towards the Temple of Light, if you look at your map you'll see a small lake on the right side of the map. Follow the path here and you'll see the key next to the path by the lake.
w Go through Oakfield until you come to the Sculptor's workshop by the waterside area. The house next door to the sculpture's workshop is called Porridge Cottage. If you go inside and up the stairs you'll find a key. The house lies at the northern tip of the land next to the sea in the middle of the map.
w After the scene at the planted tree and the end of the mission with Hammer, follow the path and by some bales of hay there is a key. It's the west side of the map next to the sea. The bales are near Luminous Cottage.
Echo Mine
Available after the Spire.
w As you enter and follow the path to the open room, follow the path to the right and you'll see the key on your right.
Wellspring Cave
w Once you enter the cave with Hannah and go through the first door, you'll see a key behind the platform you stand on. Or as you enter the circular room with the chains, take the left hand door and once you reach the room with the statue, it's behind the raised platform and steps.
Rookridge
w Travelling along Bowerstone Road, south part of the map, you'll be attacked by bandits. Just past this area and following the road, you'll see a wooden walkway with a statue at the end. There is a key at the base of the statue.
w From the back exit from the Rookridge Inn (upstairs), follow the path to reach the old station. The path goes past a wooden shack next to a rail track. If you follow the track to the end (to the right) next to the shack you'll find a key.
w Hobbe Cave - Inside the cave in a narrow area there is a dig spot next to the path/entrance with a key inside (the dig spot looks like a black mark on the ground). It is just after (or before, depending on which way you're coming from) the large open room with stone walkways, fire torches and a misty bottom. This room is just as you enter from Rookridge (down the ladder) or the last room if you entered from the Gemstone Grotto side. It's a smallish circular shaped room with glowing fungus. You will need to make sure your dog skill is at least level 3 otherwise the dig spot won't appear. Buy or find books to increase dog rating.
w You'll exit the Hobbe Cave and come to an area which is on the other side of the broken bridge you dived off earlier. You'll see a yellow and brown coach house with a path that leads around it. Follow the path and there is a key behind it.
w Gemstone Grotto (Far NW of map - go through Hobbe Cave and swim across lake - or just after you have dived off the broken bridge swim to the far left and follow path) - Once inside, follow the pathway and you'll come to a single chest before you drop down. In the room just before the chest there is a path to the left with a visible key in front of a statue.
w Inside the Temple of Shadows - Follow the left pathway (from the room with the wheel) to the main chamber (a room with a misty floor) there is a key behind the chair and desk.
Wraithmarsh
w Inside the abandoned farm building on the top floor, just after crossing the lake. Its the first building on left as you approach the Drowned Farm area with the well in the middle.
w As you make your way through an area with tombs you can't enter, there is a pool of fog before you with several statues and coffins around it. On your left is a key in an open tomb.
w After the water area where you defeated the 2nd banshee you'll enter another flooded area with a green hut. There is a path next to this hut that leads to a key; it's the right-hand path if you're facing the hut's steps.
