Overall: 6/10

Notes: This weapon has an extremely high rate of fire and a very large clip; however it has poor accuracy and does not inflict much damage. I recommend that you fire this weapon in short bursts only. Useful for fire on the move though and for new players due to its clip size and the fact that it is reasonably accurate while moving.

EQUIPMENT

Flashbangs
Cost $200

Flashbangs explode with a bright flash which blinds enemies within their blast radius, leaving them vulnerable. When you’re playing as the CT’s, use them to clear out rooms with hostages in. Keep these with you at all times.

HE grenades
Cost $300
These are high explosive grenades which explode on impact; killing with a direct hit and causing splash damage inflicting damage on nearby opponents. Use these to flush out campers and players protected by shields.

Smoke Grenades

These create a large cloud of smoke which can cause confusion. Use one of these to confuse the enemy then throw a HE grenade to take them out; the smoke will cloud their vision so they won’t see the HE grenade coming. Use them also to cover your movement.

RECOMMENDED WEAPON SET

These are the weapons that I recommend that you use:-

Counter Terrorist:
Sidearm- P228
Sub machine gun- MP5
Assault rifle- Aug or M4
Sniper Rifle- Magnum

Terrorist

COUNTER STRIKE SURVIVAL GUIDE

Try to stay silent as much as possible.

Only fire in short bursts, firing continuously causes your accuracy to decrease making it unlikely you’ll hit anything. This is especially important for sub machine guns.

Fire in different length bursts depending on the distance between you and your target, for example at close range were accuracy is not as important fire in longer bursts to inflict maximum damage but over long distance fire in short controlled bursts or even single shots for maximum accuracy.

Don’t rely on crates for cover because they can be shot through.

Weapons like the M4 lose some of their power when the silencer is attached.

Never fire when moving unless using a submachine gun, even then fire in short bursts.

Move as a team, any team that utilizes any sort of teamwork will nearly always prevail over a team that does not work as a team.

Terrorists should use hostages as human shields when the odds are against them.

The CT’s shields make a good defense as they are bullet proof unlike crates.

A good tactic is for a couple of players to protect the rest of the team with shields while the other players shoot from behind.

Look at the weapon your opponent is carrying, for example, if they have a shotgun then take them out from a distance where their weapon is practically useless.

Learn the maps; you’ll just end up dead when you aimlessly wander around.

Aim for the head to get headshots which kill instantly.

Shooting the head inflicts maximum damage, shooting the body inflicts moderate damage and the arms and legs inflicts minimum damage.

Use grenades to take out players protected by shields.

Try to stick together as much as possible for safety in numbers and for maximum firepower.

MAP STRATAGIES

Militia

Terrorist strategy

Terrorists need to defend the various sewer entrances around the compound and the front. I recommend at least one sniper on the terrorist team who should be positioned on the roof of the compound or in the window on the second floor to take out any attackers to the front. The rest of the terrorists need to be armed with assault riles and SMGs and defend the entrances to the compound.
The trick on this map is to kill the CT’s before they enter the house because if they do this then it is very easy for them to rescue the hostages.
If the CT’s do reach the hostages then you can ambush them, take them out as they leave the house by picking them off from the roof or use the sewers to get between them and the hostage rescue point.

CT strategy

The CT’s need to be armed with assault rifles such as the Aug. Speed is critical for the counter terrorists as the terrorists start in positions which mean they can set up defenses very quickly. Teamwork is critical here as you have to attack from all angles to overcome the enemy’s defenses. Use smoke grenades to block the views of snipers on the roof and use the sewers to get into the house as quickly as possible. Use grenades to clear terrorists out of rooms and don’t stop for anything.
Once you have the hostages you need to be weary for ambushes when you leave the house. Use smoke grenades to cover your escape and stick together to get to the rescue point as quick as possible.

OFFICE

Terrorist Strategy

Terrorists should be armed with M249s and SG552s and all three types of grenades. Speed and aggression are very important. There are five possible entrances to the building that the CT’s can use and three of them lead to the main hall so terrorists ideally need to take out the CT’s as they enter the main hall as this is the most likely entrance they will use. Other possibilities include the windows in the offices which can be shot through. Use HE grenades and Flashbangs to flush them out of the stairwells and take them out with SG552s and M249s when they emerge. If you fail to eliminate al the CT’s then ideally you need to split into two groups, one to guard the hostages (where the CT’s will most likely go) and the second one to hunt down the CT’s. The objective though is to protect the hostages so the second team should always stay near them. Communication between terrorists is very important because one of the teams may come into contact with a larger group of CT’s so the other group should help them.

CT Strategy

The trick to this is speed and teamwork, first of all CT’s need to be armed with all three types of grenade, M4s and Shields. A good strategy is to enter the building in two groups through the front yard through the stairwell and windows. You should deploy smoke grenades to the main and side halls followed by HE grenades to flush out terrorists and to cover your movements. The players with the shields should enter first covering the rest of the team. You need to be able to simultaneously storm the main and side hall before storming the T spawn and projector room from both sides to rescue the hostages. By now most of the terrorists will probably be dead. So you need to stick together and escort the hostages out the way you came in. Watch out for remaining terrorists in the garage as you often find them there.

INFERNO

Terrorist Strategy

For this map the best tactics are to stick together to get to a bomb site as quickly as possible and simply defend the bomb. Equip yourself with weapons such as the AK47, SG552 or M249 and get the bomb planted as quickly as possible. Once the bomb is planted you need to set up a defensive perimeter around the bomb and use whatever force necessary to hold the site. I recommend planting the bomb at A to start off with because it is quicker to get to but it is also closer to the CT spawn so be careful. Simply once the CT’s realize which bomb site you are planting the bomb at, switch sites and plant the bomb at the other one. Keep changing sites regularly so it takes longer for the CT’s to find the right one so there is more chance that the bomb will go off before they can defuse it. Remember – you want to get away from the bombsite before the bomb explodes so you’ll survive and keep your weapons and equipment for the next round so you should cover the bomb site as you leave it to make sure that the CT’s don’t use defusal kits to defuse the bomb seconds before the it goes off.

CT Strategy

Tactics here are similar to the terrorists, simply buy weapons like the AUG, M249 and grenades, stick together and find the bomb. CT’s should patrol between the bomb sites and adjacent areas. If the terrorists plant the bomb, assault the site from all sides using grenades to take out terrorists and smoke grenades to cover your positions and be wary of terrorists hiding amongst the crates in the bomb sites.
