ESCAPE
This is the best chance to learn the ropes of stealth. You must
walk down the corridor at the start, and then use the boxes
which have conveniently been assembled there to hide behind, and
have a small gunfight with the few enemies that are in the
corridor. Go right to the end of the corridor and open the door,
and watch the cut-scene involving the Mansion.

STERN MANSION & FORTUNE HILL
There are a few items scattered around the room you start in.
Examine all of them (Using X), and then Angela will give you the
Keycard for the garage. Explore the entire house, and do no go
to the garage until you have done so. When your on the bike,
head along the road up to the North District.

NORTH DISTRICT & L.E.I.L.A OFFICE
To get the required Skill points, just drive around the town as
fast as you can. You'll need 250. Once you have these, go to the
mark on your radar. You will be put through some VR tests (fans
of Metal Gear will know what to expect). You'll need to pass all
4 tests. Then get your weapons from the locker, and use your
bike to get to the Gas Station.

GAS STATION
People who bought the demo that came with the Official Playstation 2 magazine will recognise this one, seeing that it's the level included. Anyway, head right from the start and kill the two gangsters (don't worry about stealth seeing, it is impossible not to alert one of them). If another guard comes near, dispose of him. Go up and examine the car, then pick up the Car Battery lying around nearby.
Go into the shop, and go through to the workshop. Kill the Gangster hanging around, then press the white control panel. Use the Car Battery in the slot near the door.
Collect your car wash token, then return the engine to it's original position. Head outside, and kill any Gangsters that are there, then insert your Token into the machine on the left. Kill the Gangsters, and then enter the door inside.
Get the Locker Key, then head to the workshop and use the key on the locker. You shall now have some Electric Cord. Go back to the room where you got the Locker Key, and use the Cord to fix the circuit.
Get the Fire Extinguisher, and take it to the car that is in flames. Use it to put out the flames (what else were you going to do?). Get the Crowbar from the dead body, and then use it on the sealed door. Get the Amco Keycard, then ride your bike to get to the next level.

WOLFPACK HQ.
Use your Amco Keycard on the left door, and then make sure you
are ready for combat. Kill the four hoodlums that appear, then
collect the Walkie-talkie and the Padlock Key from near the
steps. Use the Key on the lock that is upside, then if the lift
isn't already powered up, power it up. Go to the Third Floor,
and walk to the end, checking to see if any items are lying
around. At the end, get the Truth Serum and read the document.

You'll be ambushed on your return journey. Remember to sue
surrounding to hide and take more precise shots, as running into
the open and crouching in front of someone doesn't really conceal you very well. Enter the door that the attacker came out of, then go out the other side into yet another corridor.
Kill any guards around here (again, stealthy use of the surroundings
is key). Enter the door on the left, and carry on through to the
next room. Go up to the crate and pull it, then read the poster.

Now, head back to the Hall and head right. Now enter the first left door. You'll find a crate, drag it to the second shelf. Climb onto it to get a Locker Key.
Go down to the end of the corridor and through the door. Get the health and open the locker to get the Broken Emblem. Return to the first corridor you were at, and Greywolf will call on your Walkie-talkie. Once
you've finished talking to him, kill his men that appear. Go to
the Keypad at the end of the first corridor and enter 1993. Go
inside the door, and prepare for your first boss.

BRUCE
Walk left whilst firing rapidly into Bruce. Duck down behind the
shelf, and use it as cover to pop out and shoot occasionally. If
Bruce throws a Grenade, you'll need to be as far away as
possible. Make sure you hide all the time, as going into the
open isn't good for your health. Just keep hiding and shooting
to eventually see him off.

WOLFPACK CONT.
Once Bruce is dead, inspect the locker to find an Emblem and
some documents. Press the red button on the desk then kill the
guard that appears. Return to the lift and go down to the second
floor. Pick up the health, and then use the Punching Machine on
the Wolfpack Emblem in your item menu. Then go back up to the
Third Floor. Use the Wolfpack Emblem on the right-hand side door
in the meeting room, then open the door, run upstairs and
prepare to kick some Greywolf butt.

GREYWOLF
Firstly, hide behind the First Block. Greywolf will casually
walk down the side, so lean out and shoot him 3 times, before
ducking back behind the block. Quickly shuffle to the other side
of the block to avoid his shot. He'll now walk down the other
side, so lean out again and shoot him 3 times. Repeat this
procedure until he retreats into a corner. Now, shuffle over to
the right again and shoot him until his health bar evaporates.

WOLFPACK EXIT
Go into the storeroom to collect health if you need it. Go back
to your bike, and ride around and collect 500 points, then head
to L.E.I.L.A office to collect your B Licence.

PALMERA MALL
Once you've passed the tests, return to speak to Angela. Leave
the mansion, head left then follow the map to the sewers. Run
along, killing the terrorists then climb the ladder up into the
mall. The following is a classic part of Headhunter. You'll meet
a lot of guards in the parking lot, so dispatch them, but there are a few more novel ways of killing a few of them......

Go up a level, and when you reach the limo, an alarm sounds.
Take cover, and pick off the guards. Go round, and don't worry about the bomb for the moment. Open the door, run upstairs and then head through the first door you come to. Go along the corridor, and into a room with an air vent. Examine it, then climb in. Go to the end and watch the cut-scene. Exit the vent, then go to the room you saw in the cut-scene. Kill the Terrorist. Pick up the document and the Security Control Card.

Kill the new terrorists that enter, then go back downstairs to
the door of the basement. Dispose of the three guards. Enter the
basement and explore all the rooms for any items. In the largest
store room, move the crate to find a manhole. Climb down it and
you're back in the sewers again. You'll see a guard examining a
circuit board. You need to use the Security Control Card with that.
Go back up to the security room, then kill the two terrorists who attack.
Press the switch and then go back out into the corridor and through the door at the end. Instead of shooting everyone here, break the neck of the first guard who walks past. A stealthy approach is not required to take out the rest, but try if you can, it's good practice.
Check the area for items, then drag the metal trolley out of the lift in the lower area and ride up to the seconds floor. Kill all the guards, then run round to the end of the corridor and examine the lift door.
Watch the cut-scene. Use the nearby fire hose to rescue Angela.
As soon as she's out, the building will be rocked with explosions. Return to the shopping area. Stun whatever policemen are around, then go down to the basement and into the sewers. A new tunnel will have opened, so follow it to the end and climb up.

MILLENNIUM BANK
Head into the first room, take out the three guards and push the
button on the console. Watch the movie, then select yes. This
opens the office doors. Equip your Stimulator Automatic, the
open the left door.

RAMIREZ
The cowardly Ramirez stays behind the glass door, and attacks
using some trios of electric spiders. Kill the first two by
shooting them twice (no more) each, then shoot the third one
once. Walk up to it, then press the Fire Button, and aim at the
glass door. Now repeat this until the door blows up. Now give hi
the Serum you found earlier.

BANK CONT.
Access the console in the vault, then write down the colours.
Input them when told, and your done.

WOLFPACK HQ PART 2
Drive up to the North District and get your A Licence. Now return to Wolfpack HQ. Use your code breaker on the right door, and pull the lever. Climb up the ladder, and stun the guards at the top.
Enter the far door, then run down the stairs and examine the right-hand door. There is a hole opposite the exit, so jump in and open the grate. Go up to the crate and drag it into the nearest room to be able to reach the Power Distribution and press the switch. Go back to the elevator, and enter the door just to the left of it. Once in the room, press the switch and climb down the ladder. There is a lift nearby, so take it to the third floor. Take out the guards with extreme stealth here, then run down to the boardroom. Use the Codebreaker on the door, and once inside collect the Lockpick, documents and the Bomb Map. There is a very long cut-scene, and once it's over your back on your bike again.

BOMB DEFUSAL
On your bike, drive to the first checkpoint, then go down to the
sewers. Run to the end, take out the guard and access the code
case. Remember the code. Input the code 3 times and the bomb
will be disarmed. Now drive to the next checkpoint and repeat
the procedure until the bomb is fully defused.

AQUADOME
Watch the cut-scenes if you want, then get ready for a more
tactical fight. You are in a small area with a big man up
against you. You can�t kill him with guns..
Stand on one of the circles until the third ring is lit. Then
get off quickly, and the man will step on. Sit back and watch
the fireworks. Now repeat this until you win.

DOCKS
Say hello to Angela, who you will be controlling for a small
proportion of the game. You start in the Docks. Kill both
guards, then open the door by pressing the switch. Kill the
guards, and before you cross the walkway explore the area. Go
through the next area with all guns blazing, and then in the top
left of your map is a large warehouse; open the doors and watch
the cut-scene. Kill the guards and get the Loading Keycard from
the small office, then leave the warehouse. Go up to the big
gates and go through, then kill 2 more guards. Use the Loading
Keycard to get through the next set of gates, then run through
and watch the cut-scene.

QUEEN OF HEARTS (SHIP)
Your first task is to get rid of all the ship's outer guards.
Enter the door to the right at the end of the ship. Kill the guards, open the doors, go up one set of stairs and get the documents from the room nearby. Clear the surrounding area of guards, then enter the room in the corridor. Pick up the Dictaphone and Beta Chemical, then go back up the stairs.
Enter the next door up, then kill all the ship's crew and search all the bunk rooms. You are looking for the Alpha Chemical, which is in a locker in one of the bunk room. There is another set of stairs in this area, so go down them and shoot the pair of guards. Go up to the room they were guarding and examine it. Jack will give you the Lockpick. Return to the first set of stairs and go up to the top. Open the door and watch the cut-scene. Inside the room, read the document and press the switch. This reveals a secret room. Use the lockpick to go
through the new door. Pick up the Master Disc and the Gamma Chemical. Go back down to a room which is near where Jack's cell is. Insert the Alpha, Beta and Gamma Chemicals into the machine, then Mix them until they match the colour on the right.
You'll get some explosives. Take these to the cell next to Jack's, then
examine the wall. Plant the explosives and watch the cut-scene.
You are now back as Jack (although you will play as Angela again later in the game).
Go to the very bottom of the ship, and in the first room approach the hatch that Angela entered. Angela will open it, so go down and into the room with a single door.
Get the ammo, then enter the double doors. Clear the room anyway you want, then climb up the ladder. On the top, locate the crane controls, pull the lever and go back down, if any new guards have appeared kill them. Enter the Cold Storage door.
Use the console to open a door, then pick up the Captain's ID card.
Climb back up a ladder and run around. When you find a door marked Bio Storage, use the Captain's ID Card then the Dictaphone. Enter the door. Run across the walkway and down the ramp. When you reach the bottom, an alarm is triggered. Kill all the guards, then enter the glass door. Watch the cut-scene. You will find Greywolf's dead body and be given a Ship Keycard. Go back to the main room. Use the keycard to get into the room at the end of the corridor. Kill any guards that are here, then
open the door, run upstairs. Cross the walkway. In the middle alcove, go through the door. Get into the lift and press the switch to see a cut-scene, and prepare to finish what you started at the bank.

RAMIREZ
As soon as you are in control of Jack, get behind the crate. To
be able to get a shot at Ramirez, shoot out the lights
surrounding his gun platform. To do this throw a Decoy shell to
one side. He will aim at it, so pop out the other side and fire
madly at the lights for a few seconds, then get back behind the
crate again. Repeat this until all 4 lights are bust. Ramirez
now throws grenades. When he throws one, run away from it.
Repeat this until he has thrown 3. He will now pause, so equip
your most powerful gun, point it at him and hold down the
trigger. When he throws a grenade, stop firing and run away.
Repeat this process until he finally dies, then watch the
cut-scene.

BIOTECH
Get your AAA licence, then go to the checkpoint. Once at Biotech, drive left, then down the steps. Run to the end of the tunnel. You'll face Hank, but to beat him wait for a direction to flash on the screen, then press the said direction. Move to the very end of the tunnel, then climb up the ladder. Enter the building.
Go upstairs, get the Reception Key. Take the key downstairs and open the wooden door. Press the alarm switch, and kill the two guards who appear.
Go into the room they were in and press the button. Equip your goggles, and look at the moving trip wires. Being very careful, make your way past them to the other side of the room. In the next room, kill every guard then press the switch. Open the big door, and kill any guards
patrolling this area. Enter the second room on the right, and get the two Serpent Keys. Press the top-right switch, then head down the stairs. Collect the Serpent Key Silver, then stick the keys in the door upstairs.
You are now back as Angela. Exit the morgue, avoid the infrared beams and run to the central section. There is a door at the end of the corridor marked Chip Research. Enter it, use the lockpick inside and collect the pair of proximity mines. Head back to the centre. Go through the Genetic Research door. Get the Saline, then enter the glass area. Read the documents by the machine, then head back to the central area again.
Plant a Proximity Mine next to the control panel, then go a distance away and shoot it. Kill both the guards then enter the Amphitheatre. Watch the cut-scene.
Enter the office in the corridor above. Go up to the desk and use the lockpick. Using the camera, zoom in on the statue. Make a mental of written note of the symbols. Go up to the eye painting in the office and examine it. Input the correct symbols and you will receive the Eve Key. Go downstairs and use the Eve key on the lift. Pass through the corridor, and prepare to face one of the most evil-sounding named bosses in the history of gaming - the mighty Adam.

ADAM
Go through the Adam & Eve door. Run from Adam, and go up to the switch in the middle of the room. Press it, then go up to valves A & B in opposite corners and examine both to switch on 4 gas pipes. Stand in a corner, and face the centre. When Adam is near a gas pipe, shoot him. He'll pause, so shoot the gas pipe. Run away again and keep on repeating this procedure until Adam dies.

BIOTECH CONT.
Still with Angela, return to Genetic Research and insert the
Saline with the DNA to create the Bloody Mary Saline. Go to
where Jack is and use it on him.
Back as Jack for the final section of the game now. Enter the
room where you inserted the 3 Serpent Keys, and hit the switch
then stand in the circle and equip your goggles. Get a pen and
paper, then write down the symbol pattern on the floor. In the
office, input the symbols on the second painting to get the Adam
Key. In the corridor outside the office, use the Adam key. Go
down in the lift. Once you reach the bottom, run down the
corridor. In the first room, take out the guards and press the
console in the corner. Return to the lift. To avoid the beams,
walk past the side of the cargo. Kill any guards. In the end
room, use the console. Go back to Angela and get ready for the
final battle.

ADAM
Firstly, become familiar with Adam's attacks. Run around if you
see a blue cloud, and if you see a red dot find some cover. He
charges up between attacks, so use these breaks to your
advantage. Fire every missile you have at him, then once you run
out switch to the sub-machine gun. When his health gets quite
low, all the cover will be destroyed. Take some Adrenaline, and
stand still and just keep shooting till he dies. Watch the
cut-scene, take more Adrenaline. Equip your Stimulator
Automatic, then fire one clip at him. When he pauses, run out
and get his gun. One shot and he's dead.
Sit back, give yourself a pat on the back and congratulate
yourself.

Debug mode:
Hold R1 + Square and press Start during game play.

Expert mode:
After completing the game for the first time, you will be
prompted to save after the ending credits. Answer "Yes" and the
game will start again, but will be marked "V2" when you save.
This is a harder version of the game. This can be done again up
to "V8".

Opening the Star Locker:
To open the Star Locker, break Hank Redwood's records in Leila
mode, then complete the game once. The Star Locker contains all
weapons with unlimited ammunition. Note: You may not be able to
complete the game normally if the Star Locker is used.

Door password:
To unlock the room on the second floor of the bikers' hideout,
enter "1993" as a password.

Killing silently:
Sneak up behind someone and press R1 + X to will break their
neck kill them instantly. Note: This requires some practice.

It helps if you have the Shield Pellet (the item you use in the
Test level) to kill silently. If you have a gun it is a bit more
difficult.

Defeating Gladiator:
You can only use the handgun you cannot use Health Packs or
Adrenaline. There are five circular plates on the floor. Stand
on one and a lighting bolt will hit it. It can cause damage to
you. However, if timed correctly, you can lure Gladiator towards
you and jump out of the way, allowing the bolt to hit him
instead.

Defeating Greywolf:
You can easily defeat Greywolf on the roof of his hideout by
using Proximity Mines. Just place one near where you enter the
roof, and as he circles around he will set it off taking a large
amount of life. Just be careful not to set it off yourself. When
your mines are down to one, start sneaking behind him then take
a few shots and head for cover. Use the one mine you saved for
when he gets low on life, because he will back himself into the
gap in the corner directly across from the entrance and stay
there shooting nonstop. Place a mine in that area beforehand and
when he goes there he will set it off, dealing the final blow.


Ramirez's spiders and door:
When you battle Ramirez's spiders, shoot them once then stand
over them. Press Action, then guide the spiders towards the
door. Press Action again to make the spiders jump at the door.
Eventually they will melt the mechanism with their acid blood
and you can enter.
It is important that you jump at a certain point. If you jump
too soon or to late, it will not do any damage to the door.

Defeating Ramirez:
To defeat Ramirez the second time, you must get up and shoot out
the lights. He will then only throw grenades. Next, get up close
and shoot him to kill him.
Shoot out the lights first, but since Ramirez has a powerful
gun, run behind one of the containers. If you have a good view,
you will see him point his gun away from you. This is your
chance to attack. Give him everything you have for a moment,
then duck back.
First, shoot out the lights. Grenades thrown hard work well
sometimes and can possibly take out all four lights at once.
Then, run. Remirez throws grenades in intervals of three. Run,
then shoot after you are out of the way of the third grenade.

Defeating Version 2 Bosses:
When fighting weak Bosses such as Greywolf (the first "real"
Boss) and Bruce (the first Boss) in Version 2, stand back and
shoot them with your missile launcher. Note: You will get
Greywolf very mad doing this -- when he gets to shoot you, he
will beat you down with his gun severely.

ADAM vs. Angela:
ADAM'S attack are very powerful -- stay away from him. First,
turn the gas pipes on by looking for a console that has a
diagram of them. Look around the room to find a smaller A & B
console. Look carefully and you will see the gas pipes. Shoot
ADAM five times rapidly and he will stop. Then, shoot the pipe.
After you hit him, run as fast as possible because he will run
after you very quickly. You will get damage no matter what, but
you will have to repeat the whole thing again to kill him.

ADAM vs. Jack:
This battle is different than when Angela fought ADAM. He will
now stand in the center of the room and shoot lasers at you. The
red ones are easy -- hide behind a wall. For the blue ones, you
have to guess where it is going and get out of there.

When defending yourself against ADAM in Phase 1, instead of
hiding behind a pillar or dodging his blue attacks, hide behind
the computer panels. When he attacks with his red ray, hide
behind the pillars and he will not hurt you.

Attacking ADAM in Phase 1, 2, and 3:
During the time in which ADAM is not attacking you in Phase 1,
do not shoot him with any other weapon besides the sub machine
gun. There are boxes with the SMG ammunition available during
that fight. In Phase 2, do the same thing. In Phase 3, shoot
ADAM with your missile launcher as he approaches you. This will
slow him down. Then, run to the Judgment Cannon (ADAM's weapon).
