Hi everybody, Cweek2000 here! I'm sure anyone with a games console has heard of Sonic the Hedgehog, probably because of his excellent Megadrive debut. Sonic first came into 3D as Sonic 3D, which didn't do that well. On the Dreamcast, Sonic Adventure came out and was suprisingly good, with an involving plot and an awesome intro movie. Sonic Adventure 2 followed, with an even better storyline and smoother graphics. These two games were released on the Gamecube, Sonic Adventure 2 before it's predecessor. Now Sonic Heroes has been released on all formats, the Sonic love is spreading like an oil fire.

The main difference in Sonic Heroes is that you control a team of three characters as opposed to one. Note that this walkthrough uses Gamecube controls, but all controls are similar for the PS2 and Xbox versions, so don't worry. Well, enough blabbing on with the introduction. Enjoy this walkthrough and enjoy the game!

<>
Okay, let's get on with it. The tutorial mode explains everything but it's hosted by the robotic Chao named Omochao, who is extremely annoying, so you might prefer to listen to me instead.

Press the control stick in any direction and the leader of the team will move that way. The harder you press down the control stick, the faster you move. The other two characters will automatically follow the leader, so you don't have to worry about leaving them behind.

Tap A to jump. With the speed character, pressing and holding A will make the jump last longer.

<>
Team Sonic- Sonic
Team Dark- Shadow
Team Rose- Amy
Team Chaotix- Espio

The speed character is the fastest character in the group, and is used in chase areas of the levels and long walkways. When you jump, press A to use the Homing Attack, which homes in on enemies and attacks them.

<>
Team Sonic- Tails
Team Dark- Rouge
Team Rose- Cream
Team Chaotix- Charmy

The fly character is (obviously) able to fly over gaps and up to higher ledges and platforms. They also have the most annoying voice. Their main attack is Thunder Shoot, used by pressing B which throws a team-mate at enemies. Unfortunatly, on their own they cannot do any damage, so the best bet is to get a Team Blast and bring back your entire team.

<>
Team Sonic- Knuckles
Team Dark- E-123 Omega
Team Rose- Big
Team Chaotix- Vector

The power character is the strongest in the team, which can destroy the tough steel enemies and use fighting moves to clear the way of crates and obstacles.

<<>>
The bosses in Sonic Heroes are tough, evil beings that will use every trick in the book to destroy you. They are practically the same for each team, so don't worry.

<>
Team Sonic- Using just Sonic, chase after the boss. All you have to do is jump and repeatedly use the homing attack. The Egg Hawk will be dead soon.
Team Shadow- Use Shadow's homing attack, but when it lands change to Omega and smash Eggman up the old fashioned way. As long as you're quick, you'll get an A.
Team Rose- Use the same method as Team Sonic.
Team Chaotix- Same method.

<>

Start off by using Blue Tornado to blow away the enemies. If any are left after about three of these, use Knucles to punch the rest. Also, Tails's thunder shoot will take care of Amy.

Same method.

Use Big to punch them off the edge. If you need to, use Amy's pink tornado to blow off any survivors.

Start by using Espio, and turn invisible. More tornados will finish them off.

<>
This boss consists of many waves of enemies, each after the other. Use your homing attack for robots, thunder shoot for flying enemies and the power character for turtles and steel enemies.

<>
With all teams, use the speed character to home in on the boss while it flies. When it breaks free, continue homing attacking the hawk until it bites the dust.

<>

This fight is harder thabn last time. Use a similar tactic of tornados, but the opposing team switches round to get the better of you. Don't stray too far to the edge, and if you get left with the flying character on your team alone, restart.

Same tactics.

Use Big to punch the smaller characters, and Amy to blow away Vector.

Same tactics.

<>
This is the same as Robot Carnival, but after each set of waves, you have to jump in a cannon and blast yourself to the next platform and so on. You'll encounter over three steel giants, except with Team Rose and an annoying cannon mini-game near the end. Use Team Blasts at the start of each wave, UNLESS YOU NEED TO.

<>
This batle is set on a series of walkways, with a huge bowl at certain points along the battlefield. At the start, switch to speed type and run underneath the boss, using the speed up pads until you get to the bowl. Once there, defeat the enemies and use thunder shoot when the boss exposes his glowing spot to stun him FOR A SECOND. Next, use the power character to smash up Eggman until he flies off. Run underneath him with the speed type to the next bowl and continue until he's dead. Watch out for his homing missiles, and make sure you get as many rings as you can for protection.

<<>>
I won't spoil it for you, but it's tough!

<<>>
In each level, two keys are hidden in small cages. The power characetr can break these open. If you have a key at the goal ring, you can enter a special stage. This is a long tube where several floating orbs lie. Picking them up fills up a meter, which depletes when you press B. However, each time you press B you speed up and go blasting down the tube! Some levels are against the clock, while some involve chasing a chaos emerald. These are vital to unlock the final story.

Sonic Heroes is a great game, however some of the bosses can be a right pain to finish, so here’s my walkthrough on how to defeat all the bosses in Sonic Heroes.

Meet The Teams
--------------
--------------

Now for each team, you have three types of character. There’s the speed formation, the flying formation and the fighting formation. Obviously for each boss, you will need to use each formation to its advantage.

Speed Formation
---------------

This is your basic attack. Jump and press A again in order to perform a homing attack on the enemy. Not too powerful, and doesn’t always work on specific enemies, but accurate and easy to use.

The tornado spin is another useful move that will cause robots to flip over and even become confused, and is useful on the robot attacks. Press A then B in the air to perform.

One final move is the spin attack that is done by simply pressing B while you’re running. This isn’t very accurate, and can cause you to miss and fall of the edge of the platform, but it’s nice to know it’s always there just in case.

Light Ring Dash allows you to grab rings at unbelieveable speed. Use to grab rings in a hurry.

Flying Formation
----------------

Thunder shoot is very useful for high flying enemies and makes life a lot easier when it comes to destroying them. While flying press B and you’ll shoot one of your team mates at the enemy. Very nice!

Power Formation
---------------

This obviously will be your best option in battles. Pressing B will cause you to use your team mates as fists and punch the enemies. Also press jump and B to perform a throw where you hurl one partner at oncoming enemies. Very useful and effective.

Team Blast
---------

One final move you need to know is the Team Blast. This is a powerful move that destroys all enemies in the screen, unless it's a boss where it will simply do damage to it. In order to gain the power to do a Team Blast, simply grab rings anjd defeat enemies. This attack is vital for bosses.

Now Onto The Bosses
-------------------
-------------------

Boss #1 – Egg Hawk
------------------

Very easy to beat as long as you keep grabbing rings every so often. Basically chase the Egg Hawk with speed formation until he lands on the beach giving you the opportunity to attack it. Change to power formation and hammer the B button until the Egg Hawk explodes. You should be able to defeat him when he lands first time, however if you don’t just repeat these steps again until he’s finished.

Boss #2 – Team Rose/ Dark/ Chaotix/ Sonic
-----------------------------------------

Not much help I can give on this, besides firstly try to grab all the level upgrades and then use tornado spin repeated to throw the others off guard, giving you the chance to attack with speed formation or power formation. Keep attacking until you knock all three enemies off the arena.

Boss #3 - Robot Carnival
------------------------

This varies from team to team, so if you play as Team Dark, you face more waves, and if you play as Team Rose you face fewer waves.

Wave 1: Aerial robots. Use homing attack on them.

Wave 2: More aerial enemies so use homing attack again or thunder shoot.

Wave 3: Ground robots, so use the punching attack in power formation.

Wave 4: Use thunder shoot to destroy all aerial enemies.

Wave 5: Again use thunder shoot to destroy all the enemies.

Wave 6: Use power formation to destroy the ground robots, then use thunder shoot to finish off the aerial robots.

Wave 7: Use thunder shoot again.

Wave 8: Use homing attack for these hovering enemies.

Wave 9: Turtles so use Team Blast.

Wave 10: Use thunder shoot again for these aerial enemies.

Wave 11: Use a combination of all the moves above and you’ll easily defeat this wave.

Wave 12: Final wave, so use Team Blast and you’re done.

Boss #4 - Egg Albatross
-----------------------

This looks difficult to begin with but it really isn’t. Chase the flying machine grabbing any level-up items along the way. When you reach the machine, jump and use the homing attack on it. Keep attacking until you get knocked off or no longer do any damage. Then again chase the machine and do the homing attack till you destroy it.

Boss #5 – Team Sonic/ Dark/ Rose/ Chaotix
-----------------------------------------

You basically use a similar strategy to Boss #2. Tornado spin is a good option, but if that fails then use power formation and continually follow through with punch after punch.

Boss # 6 – Robot Storm
----------------------

This varies from team to team, so if you play as Team Dark, you face more waves, and if you play as Team Rose you face fewer waves.

Wave 1: Aerial Robots. Use speed formation and use homing attack or flying formation and use thunder shoot.

Wave 2: Ground robots that can be destroyed with punching in power formation.

Wave 3: Jump and throw your team mates at these enemies and you’ll make short work of them.

Wave 4: Simply use Power formation and punch these turtles.

Wave 5: Again punch with power formation to destroy these ground opponents.

Wave 6: By now you should have level three flying attack, so use that formation and use thunder shoot. If you aren’t at level three, use speed formation.

Wave 7: Use The team blast and you’ll destroy them all.

Wave 8: Ground enemies and can be destroyed with punching o power formation.

Wave 9: Again use power formation and attack all enemies till they all die.

Wave 10: Aerial robots this time, and can be destroyed with thunder shoot.

Wave 11: Trains circle the edge. Attack with homing attack.

Wave 12: More ground enemies so use punching attacks to destroy all of them.

Wave 13: Simply use Team Blast and you’re done!

Boss #7 - Egg Emperer
---------------------

Pretty difficult this, but easier when you know how. Firstly play in speed formation and use light speed dash to grab the rings and avoid the laser beams that attack you. When you reach the ramp that launches you into an arena, grab all the rings until you get a Team Blast. Use this, and you should do some damage to the Egg Emperer. Follow this with some attacks from the flying formation. Use thunder shoot to hit the centre disk on the Emperer's chest. After a while he'll fly away and you'll need to repeat what you did earlier. Chase while dodging laser beams then attack in the arena. Simple!

Congratulations, you've just beaten all the Sonic Heroes bosses. This has been a Ghost Killer guide.
