This is my walkthrough for Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace. I had a previous one but I typed it wrong. It contains a level walkthrough, weapons in the game some tactics.



Weapons For Choice

Lightsabre - A Jedi’s weapon. Great defense against blaster shots. Good for close combat.

Blaster – Basic blaster gun.

Heavy Blaster – Advanced blaster, effective on destroyer droids.

Light Repeating Blaster – Fast rate of fire, good if killing many droids.

Droid Stunner – Used by Padme to stun droids.

Proton Missile Launcher – Fires a rocket, good for taking out larger enemies.

Thermal Detonator – A large explosive device.

Energy Ball – Made by the Gungans to render enemies useless.

Flash Grenade – Small explosive.





Level Walk Through

Trade Federation Battleship

Character: Obi Wan Kenobi

Having arrived on the trade federation battleship you await a meeting with the Viceroy to convince him to leave the system. The Level begins when a protocol droid (TC14) enters the room. Notice that gas is coming out of the floor. Talk to the droid and ask about the gas. After being told it is just excess steam from the ventilation system Qui-Gon informs you that it is infact poison gas. Draw your lightsabre (square button). Approach the door, be prepared for a fight. As you leave you are encountered by battle droids. Dispose of them quickly (one usually gets away). Go right into the room on the left-hand side there is a hand panel, press circle to activate it. The door opens and you get a blaster rifle. On the other side of the room there is another panel activate it to see a message from Queen Amidala. Exit the room and go across the hall to the other room. Another scanner is here which gives you a thermal detonator. Approach the door of the cylindrical room to get a health pack (inside). Hit the alarm on the control box inside the room, this will send for a droid which will follow you. Now exit this room into the corridor. Follow it along and dispose of the 2 battle droids. Activate the panel on the wall to get another health pack. Enter the cylindrical room and activate the panel to open the door. If you wish you can go left down the corridor to talk to a droid but this is doesn’t do anything. You just get told that destroyer droids have been sent for to stop the 2 Jedi on the ship at which point a destroyer droid comes and you have to destroy it, risking precious health. Go right in the corridor and follow it to fight 2 more droids. Go up into the room on the right. Activate the panel on the wall. This will open a new room directly opposite the one you are in. A droid is in the room so dispose of it. If you had the R2 droid following you (and still alive) it will open a cylindrical room with a health pack. Activate the panel inside this room to open the door at the end of the corridor. Run along this corridor and take a right as many destroyer droids will greet you. Go into the opening on the left, Qui-Gon will follow if you have left him behind. Run along this opening, the floor will give way and you fall, Qui-Gon jumps over it leaving you alone. This is a good point to save the game. Leave the room and follow the path. On walking along the catwalk you will see the ship that you arrived on being blown up. At the end of the catwalk enter the room. Notice the maintenance droid around the corner. You can either lightsabre the droid or shoot it with your blaster rifle. The easiest way to destroy them is to go in fast with the lightsabre but be warned their electrical attacks can do serious damage to your health. After passing this droid follow the corridor until it comes to a junction the quickest way past is by going right but there are a few droids to take care of. Follow the corridor and it comes to another junction again go right. You’ll see a door with a triangular marking on it. You need to find a switch to open it. The switch is located along the corridor to the left of the door. Once activated be quick as it’s on a time release. A droid exits this room, destroy it. Enter the room and activate the panel in there, this is again on a time release. Run out the room go straight until you come to a junction, go right then follow the corridor round until you reach a t-section go right and jump over the grate and continue along the corridor to get a thermal detonator. Return back along the corridor and this time walk over the grate, which you will fall through. In this new corridor there will be droids so take them out. You are now faced with 3 doors, 2 of which are locked. Go through the unlocked door (on the right). Watch your back as many droids will appear from all doors. Once the droids have been dealt with enter the room. There are droids on the lower level, either push one of the crates over the edge onto them or jump down and use your lightsabre on them. Pick up the health pack in the corner if required and also save it. Hit the panel next to the lift which will open a door behind you. The panel also acts as a switch to the lift. Talk to the enemy hiding in the room for clues or kill him if you wish, or both. Go into the cylindrical room and destroy the generator. Exit the room and kill any droids. Go through the door directly across from the room you just left. Inside will be two more droids and a flying droid will attack you, kill the droids and hide from the flying droid until it leaves. There is a crate sticking out from the rest of the ones in the pile. Pull it out to reveal a hidden room; inside there is a thermal detonator and a small health pack. There is another health pack stored in a space at the top of the crates, use the crate you pulled out to reach it (requires force jump – double tap x). Go over to the lift and activate the panel to make it rise; kill the droid that is up there. After stepping off the lift go through the opening to the right. Don’t use the panel on the wall as it opens a door which holds droids and take s you back to a point earlier in the level. Save your progress here if you wish. The opening takes you onto a catwalk. Qui-Gon is on another catwalk across from you. He tells you to get onto a troop transport and you will meet when they land. Progress along the catwalk and turn right. Follow this catwalk then go left. Go along here to find a panel, activate it to move an obstruction. Turn around and go back down the catwalk and then go left, hit the panel at the end of this catwalk to move a walkway. Run across it and activate another panel, then go back the way you came, going onto the previous walkway to activate the panel which moved the obstruction. Turn round and go back down the catwalk again and take a right, there should now be a lift on the right. Activate the lift and go down to kill a droid. Go right along the catwalk, droids will fight you at breaks in the side of the catwalk. Keep going until you reach a point in the catwalk where there is a lift with 2 droids on it at one side and am empty lift on the other side. Kill the droids and jump onto the lift that was empty to start with. Obi-Wan will activate a panel himself to end the level.


Naboo Swamps

Character: Obi-Wan Kenobi

Having arrived on Naboo save your game. You start on a dry spot of land surrounded by water. Run into the water and swim towards the right until you reach another part of dry land. Many battle droids will be here so draw your lightsabre and kill them. Pick up the blaster rifle that is on the ground. Again run into the water and follow it round until you reach more dry land. Run up the steep hill, at the top you will see some one (Jar Jar Binks). After a brief talk he runs away now you have to chase him. Follow Jar Jar down the hill. Swim through the water and step onto dry land, kill the droid then cross the water via the tree that has fallen down. Several droids await you at the other side so dispose of them. Follow the corridor like path until you come to a drop, jump down to greet Jar Jar but he runs so chase him. As you progress along the path many droids will shoot at you so destroy them. Keep on going until you come to a cliff, again you see Jar Jar. Jump down into the water and swim over to him. Once on dry land he runs away again. This is a good point to save your game. Follow the path round into yet more water, swim through it and when you get to dry land jump up hill. Kill the droid then make your way across to the other side where there is another droid. Get to the top then follow Jar Jar until you lose him. Go left at the point where he disappears; follow this path along until there is a right turn. Now follow this path until you reach a cross point where there are many droids, kill all of them quickly. At the cross point go left until you reach water, swim to the nearest bit of dry land otherwise you’ll be fish food. Save your game here as it could take ages to find this area if you fall further on. Jump onto the raised dry land then jump from there to the higher bit and then again to a higher still bit. A run and jump is required to make it to the cliff, use the rock on your current piece of dried land to get extra distance. Follow the cliff round to another jump. You can see Jar Jar on the other side. Save here if you wish. Run and jump over the gap. When you land on the ground Jar Jar will talk to you about another Jedi (Qui-Gon) talk to him then he will take you to him. Again you must follow Jar Jar. He jumps over a big gap, you can jump over this too with a double jump, don’t use the vine or you will get shot in mid climb by a droid. Once on the middle pillar jump to the other side. Follow Jar Jar down the hill and continue to follow him until you lose sight of him. This will be at a big area with a steep fall. Push the wooden box over the edge then jump down onto it. The get off it and pull it to the other side of the hole to use as a boost to get up the other side. Once up there run and single jump onto the vine, make your way across it and drop down. Now jump over the logs blocking your way and begin to follow Jar Jar again. He will walk out into a clearing where there are many droids; either block their attacks with your lightsabre or use the gun to the left. Once they are taken care of follow Jar Jar to meet up with Qui-Gon, to end the level.


Otoh Gunga

Character: Obi-Wan Kenobi

When the level begins save your progress. Follow Jar Jar and Qui-Gon to meet Boss Nass. There is a cut scene where Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon negotiate with Boss Nass to release Jar Jar. After using the Jedi mind trick Boss Nass agrees to let Jar Jar go and to give you transport to the city of Naboo. Leave the chamber and go back the way you came. Go right in this sphere. Follow these corridors through the spheres until you reach a bubble lift. On the way you will encounter Guards which may block your path, use your force push to get them out of your way. DO NOT hurt them otherwise you will have to fight them throughout the level. When you reach the bubble lift activate it using the circular panel. When you get to the bottom exit the lift and then go through the right corridor, again using force push to get past the guards. Once you get into the next sphere use the corridor on the left. In the next sphere you must, again take the corridor on the left. You will then arrive in a large room and you will be on an upper balcony. At the other side of the room you will see another balcony; this is where you want to get to. Save the game. Pillars rise up from the floor for you to jump on to reach the other side. Stand at the edge of the balcony and 2 pillars will rise. Jump onto the first pillar and from there onto the other pillar then from there to the second balcony, use double jump for this. If you miss or fall don’t worry just stand on the unrisen pillar which will take you back to the start, watch out for the guards though. From the second balcony force push the guards and progress through the passage into a bubble lift. Activate the lift and arrive in a room with more pillars but this time they descend when you jump on them. There’s a blaster to pick up if you want it (on the pillar to the right). Jump your way to the other side onto the ledge. Exit the room and make your way through the corridors. Eventually you’ll end up in another corridor which has a few guards in it. Make your way to the end to find anther bubble life. In the next area quickly go to the corridor to the left. Upon entering the next room there is a ramp that goes up the way. There is a switch to the right as you enter the room. Hit it then run up the ramp and get through the door before it closes. Try not to fall it could kill you but if you survive there’s a handy box that will let you get back to the start. When you exit this room the tube corridor will move and then open up allowing you to progress. Enter the room that the corridor leads to and talk to the guard. For best results say (in this order) that you need to reach the detention area, you have a security key and finally use the option with the mind trick (highlighted in purple). Progress onto the next room. There are 2 ways to go from this room, right which is locked and left, so go to the left. In this room lies the switch for the locked door. You see the switch under the glass panel. There is a box on the floor so move it to the corner with the green button, activate the switch then a pillar at the other side of the room descends revealing another green button. Move the box to that corner. Again, hit the button and it lowers another pillar with a button. Move the box to that one and hit the button and the last pillar lowers so move the box over there, hit the button then the glass disappears. You now jump onto the button it reveals and this unlocks the door. Save your game at this point. Go through the previously discovered door and you enter a room with yet more jumping. There’s a control panel which is too high to reach so move the box over to it. Stand on the box then hit the switch. When you hit the switch jump onto the pillar and from there jump onto the balcony, do it quickly as the door is on a time release. Enter the next room and talk to the Gungan. Talk to him in this order: ask about the controls and then ask if he’d raise the bubble lifts for you. Enter the lift, activate it then you are taken to another room. There are 2 ways to go from here, take the left. Keep walking straight through until you reach the detention centre (where Jar Jar is). Make your way to the guard at the control terminal (avoid the other guards). Talk to the guard at the control terminal in this order: you’ve come for Jar Jar, use the mind trick option (Jar Jar is dangerous). The guard will then release Jar Jar. Walk down to the cell holding Jar Jar, talk to him, you can say whatever you wish. After talking follow him to get to the Bongo Bay where Qui-Gon is waiting. After a brief talk the level is finished.


The Gardens Of Theed

Character: Obi-Wan Kenobi

At the beginning of this level the bridge is blown away so you must find an alternative route to the palace. Jump off the balcony into the water below. Jump as far up the water as possible (right direction from start point) otherwise you’ll fall over a waterfall. During your swim stay as close to the walls as possible as this gives you more grip. Make sure you swim up the right-hand side so that you can get out of the water on a ledge that will take you past the mini waterfall. Jump into the paler blue coloured water and swim to the platform roughly in the middle. Follow the platform round until you come to a set of stairs. At the top of the stairs there is a series of jumps to get to your target. Make your way to the end of the single tiled platform. At the end there is a ledge but is too far away to reach so use your force push to activate a switch which will open a bridge. Activate your lightsabre as there are droids to deal with at the other side. Follow the path round dealing with the droids. Keep following the path until you reach a river with a generator in the middle. There are also droids. Use your force push again to activate a switch to destroy the generator. Get across to the other side of the water (it doesn’t matter if you stand in the water). Save the game. Follow the path until you meet some republic soldiers. A battle will take place, if you wish you can fight in it but it’ll make no difference the soldiers will take out the droids. Before progressing back track a little and look for a small cut off. Inside this area there is a soldier, talk to him and choose the first line of text each time to get a light repeating blaster. It’s a good idea to save the game. Now head back out and go to where the droid battle took place. You have to make it to the northwest corner of the large garden. The easiest way to do this is by using one wall and following it all the way around. You have to jump over some boxes to reach the exit point. Beware inside these boxes are destroyer droids. The boxes only open if you get too close to them or if you strike them with your lightsabre. To exit the garden there is a gate. A soldier is already at the gate he doesn’t know the pass code so save it before taking a guess. If you don’t get the pass code don’t worry just ask him if there’s another way out of the city then follow him. Follow him, it is more than likely he will die. Kill any droids and go up a set of stairs near a gazebo like tent. If the guard doesn’t die he will when you reach a door at the end of the path. Go through the door and follow the path. Kill the droids inside. Follow the path along to be confronted by droids. Dispose of them then hit the red button non the wall, this opens a door which you need to go through. This is the exit of the garden. Follow the main path until you reach stairs where there is a droid. Go up the stairs and press the button, this opens a gate to let water out. Go back downstairs and into the water. Swim round (left) to get to more stairs. Get to the top and push another button which drains the water at the bottom of the other staircase. Press this button to extend a bridge behind you. Cross this bridge then go to the gap between your current platform and another. Save it here because if you fall that’s you all the way back at the start of the level. Use your force push at the gap to extend another bridge, carefully cross it. Follow the new path around, avoid the mines on the ground. Go up the stairs and run towards the droid tank. Run past the tank up the stairs and face left, you should notice a lever beside the alley. Jump and use force push to activate it. This opens the inner gates of the 2 gates. If you wish go down the alley to get a health pack. Now run back through the courtyard and look for an open window, directly opposite the alley. Jump into it and kill the droid, pick up the health pack. Now go back out and look for a lower window, jump in this to find a switch. Use force push on it to open the other gate. Go out the window and run through the gates. End of level.


Escape From Naboo

Character: Obi-Wan Kenobi

Having met up with your group you and the queen are blocked off by rubble after an explosion. Save the game. To start off, follow the queen. Go down the first corridor and turn left. Follow the queen through a doorway. Keep close to her as she moves quick. After exiting a circular room, get in front of the queen to destroy a battle droid at the bottom of the stairs. Follow the path and kill the droid that comes down the stairs. The queen now takes the lead so follow her closely. Move the statue that is blocking your path. Again follow the queen, this time to a locked door. To the left there is a walkway, force push the droid that is on it and save the game. Now perform a double jump onto the walkway. Follow it round to gain access to a room via an open window. Jump onto the lower balcony if you want a proton missile launcher. Go through the window and hit the button to open the door. Once the queen enters pick up anything you need in the room and then follow her again. She will go to a corner and tell you it is not safe to proceed. Save the game. Progress and go into a door and talk to the woman. Ask her what troubles her then make a promise to return her lost son. Now go down the stairs and confront the droids. Go straight forward along the path and enter the room where you will see a boy. Jump up the ledge to get a health pack, before you talk to him. Talk to him and tell him not to go. Go back along the path and kill any droids, then return to the boy and tell him its safe to go home. Follow him to his home then receive a health pack from his grateful mother. Now go back down the stairs but this time go right. Save your game and go back for the queen before proceeding. Go around the corner and kill the droids run down the stairs, if you’re not sure where follow the queen. Talk to her and she’ll stay there while you find a way to get the gate open. Go ahead and take a left. Kill the droids and follow the path. You will eventually come across a wounded soldier who asks for water. You don’t need to get him water but can if you wish. There’s also a shield where the water is so you’d be as well. Progress past the soldier and look for a break in the railing of the bridge. Jump down here then follow the wall looking for stairs on the left. Go up these stairs and enter a room, pick up the water and the shield. Exit the room via the other door which takes you to where the soldier is. Give the water to the soldier if you wish but hurry as the shield doesn’t last forever. Follow the path along the bridge until you see an opening where droids will shoot at you. Kill them then enter the room for a health pack. Continue along the first path and jump through the window to kill another droid. Go through this room into another room with a droid. Keep on going through the rooms until you find a window which you exit through. You will end up behind the tank. Kill the droid and the tank will begin a patrol of the courtyard. When the tank moves it will reveal a switch to open the gate. Now run and get the queen. Save the game. Run across the courtyard through the gate and kill the droids. Follow the path along killing all droids and protecting the queen. Follow the queen to a set of stairs. Tell her you’ll scout ahead. Climb the stairs. Enter the room and pick up the blaster and use the panel to get a health pack. Go back for the queen and tell her to follow you. Save the game again. Go up the stairs and run to the next area leaving her to follow this will give you some time to kill the destroyer droids in the next part of the level. Kill the droids then return to the queen. At this point follow her to a locked gate which you need to open for her. Go down the stairs to kill the droid before you leave the queen. Save the game. Go back up the stairs and head along the path, look for a staircase on the left. Go inside the building and talk to the woman. Offer to help her and she will tell you where the controls for the gate are. Go to the opposite side of the room and go through the window. On the path outside the window jump over the box then double jump onto the vine to cross to the other side. Jump over the balcony railing and go through the doors. Enter the room and go left out the other side. Go along this hallway and kill the droid before entering the room. Once in this room go up the stairs and hit the switch for the gate. Save it first. Go back down the stairs and further down to press a button to let you out of the building. Go through the opened gate and meet the queen. Round the corner there are 3 mines so get rid of them before the queen passes. Keep going killing more droids along the way. You will find a raised bridge which the queen can’t get over so you must find a way to lower it. Jump onto the boat and then onto the stairs. Go up the next set of stairs onto a balcony. Use the force push to lower the bridge. Follow or take the queen (depends on how much harm she has come to before now) ahead. She will stop at a corner. Go left and kill the droids. Once this is done save the game then tell the queen to follow you. She will take the lead but run into droids so quickly kill them. The queen will stop further ahead and you will have to take out more droids (2 battle droids and a destroyer droid). After killing them go through the door up ahead. Speak to the man inside. Say you need his help and then return to the queen. The man opens a door for you, go through it. Pick up the items in this room. Follow the paths and you will find a group of droids to kill. Further on there are more droids to kill. Once this has been done return for the queen and take her into the hanger, kill the 3 droids inside and then run to the ship to meet up with the group to finish the level.


Mos Espa

Character: Qui-Gon Jinn

For this part of the game you will need to lookj for something by yourself. You land on Tatooine after your ship is damaged on the flight to Coruscant. In order to complete this level you will need to buy ship parts form Watto. Qui-Gon takes Padme and Jar Jar, with him into the city. Lead them in a north east direction from the starting point. Save the game here. There will be an opening where sand people lie. You must kill them before they get a chance to kill Jar Jar or Padme. Follow the paths until you come to a big opening. Follow the dark patches of sand to find the city entrance. From here you need to find Padme. The easiest way to find her is by walking straight form the entrance to the city. Along the way you can stop and talk to the townsfolk. For a laugh around the town find the man selling dung worms. Stand in the dung worms and people around the city will make a point of saying how bad you smell. Once you find Padme ask about Jar Jar, them ask what she’s learnt. Thank her for her information then continue down the road. Go straight ahead until you see Anakin running through an archway. When you go after him his mother will block your access. Talk to her and get her to take you to Anakin. She will take you through the back where Anakin is working on his Podracer. Talk to Anakin and ask about Watto and if Anakin would introduce them. Anakin will then lead you through a junk yard. Save your game. Once in the junkyard turn right and go under the arch. Anakin goes through a small gap so you have to jump up onto a platform above. Jump from there to the other platform. Then jump from there to another platform then again to another. You see Anakin walking over a plank, follow him and the plank will give way. The wall is then broken by a big vehicle. When it turns follow it. Jawas will attack you, kill them and pick up the fuel converter. Follow Anakin to the next area where you must push a box against the wall. Jump from that box onto another then jump down the other side. Make your way to Wattos shop from here. Talk to Watto and if you have a fusion coil he will trade with you. Don’t worry if you haven’t got it. Talk to Watto until you agree on a bet. Leave the shop via the other exit and talk to Anakin. For the bet you will need Anakin, he will be piloting your podracer. But first you will need to get parts to fix it. Take around 30 minutes to familurise yourself with the level. This will make the next part easier. Now go back to Anakin. Walk down the street until you come across an alien dressed in red, she is leaning on a pillar fixed to the ground. Talk to her and you will find out that her son is being held prisoner by Captain Neg. Tell her you will speak to Neg. His house is up the stairs behind the alien woman. Do not go up there as it will just lead to you being shot by a security turret. Leave her then back track to fid an alien standing next to one of the guards. There will be a set of stairs beside them, go up them. Enter the house at the top of the stairs and proceed through it. Step out of the building onto a ledge. Follow the ledge round until you see a rope above your head. Jump on this rope and then immediately jump back down as an alien will come from around a corner and begin shooting you. Take out a blaster and shoot him dead. Now you can cross the rope without being shot down off it. You will end up in a green room with 2 aliens, they will tell you not to go on but ignore them. Head up the stairs. In the corner of the next room there is a blaster pistol, picking it up will trigger a sentry robot so destroy it. Leave the room through the window and follow this ledge round. Enter the building but make sure your lightsabre isn’t out otherwise the enemies inside will attack you. Save the game here. Make your way through the house and as you leave draw your lightsabre as you will be attacked by a goon. The boy you are to rescue is in the courtyard but as you enter a monster will be released. You will have to kill it. The easiest way is to use a blaster and keep your distance from it as it will give you a lot of damage. Once you have defeated this monster go to the cage and use the palm panel to release the boy. Follow the path round the side of the house and take out the generator to open the side gate. Take the boy back to his mother and she will give you a repulse booster. The rest of the level is mostly about finding trade but so you have enough parts go back to the slave quarters (where you found Anakin’s mum). Look for an alien that is standing outside a house. Talk to him and you will learn that there are people in his home. Agree to help him. Save your progress. Go into the house and talk to the man, use the force to persuade him to allow you to look around. Head out the back of the house and kill the two rodians. Notice the guy in the corner, go talk to him, he will take you into his house. In return for saving him he’ll ask if there’s anything he can do for you. Keep talking to him about podracer parts and he’ll eventually give you engine binders. Now you must go back near the entrance to the city and look for a bar. Inside there is an alien named Teemto. Tell him you are helping Anakin to repair his racer. Ask him if there are any parts he wishes to trade. Trade him the engine binders and the repulse booster to receive a servo control system ( a part Annie needs). Go back to where you talked to the alien who had lost her son. From here face away from the alien and take the first left. Keep on wakling until you come across a man. He will trade you a mass coupler for 2 fuel converters. If you don’t have two fuel converters you will have to get them from the shop next to where Anakin is waiting for you. There will be no-one in the shop but if you wait around long enough a 3 eyed alien will come. Use the Jedi mind trick on him (you may need to speak to him more than once). Eventually he will tell you to talk to his friend out the back. Save your game and draw your lightsabre then head out back. Kill everyone who is out here then search for the fuel converter. You will have to jump over the wall and re-enter the city by the front entrance. Before you return to Anakin with the podracer parts you will need to find Jar Jar. He is located in a bathhouse near captain Neg’s house. You will need to find the side entrance. Go in and talk to Jar Jar. Tell him to meet you outside Watto’s shop. Now simply follow him to get back to Anakin. Talk to him and give him the podracer parts to end the level.


Podraces

Character: Qui-Gon Jinn

You will start this level outside the gates of the podrace arena. Save the game. Don’t go in yet instead follow the wall around to the left side. There will be a man selling chokie. Go over and speak to him. Ask him how chokie is made. Then ask if he sells anything else. Say about a thermal detonator and that you are helping a friend on his farm. He will tell you to talk to his friend. His friend is located inside the gates at the start of the level. Look for a man similar to the

Weapons For Choice

Level Walk Through

Trade Federation Battleship

Character: Obi Wan Kenobi

Having arrived on the trade federation battleship you await a meeting with the Viceroy to convince him to leave the system. The Level begins when a protocol droid (TC14) enters the room. Notice that gas is coming out of the floor. Talk to the droid and ask about the gas. After being told it is just excess steam from the ventilation system Qui-Gon informs you that it is infact poison gas. Draw your lightsabre (square button). Approach the door, be prepared for a fight. As you leave you are encountered by battle droids. Dispose of them quickly (one usually gets away). Go right into the room on the left-hand side there is a hand panel, press circle to activate it. The door opens and you get a blaster rifle. On the other side of the room there is another panel activate it to see a message from Queen Amidala. Exit the room and go across the hall to the other room. Another scanner is here which gives you a thermal detonator. Approach the door of the cylindrical room to get a health pack (inside). Hit the alarm on the control box inside the room, this will send for a droid which will follow you. Now exit this room into the corridor. Follow it along and dispose of the 2 battle droids. Activate the panel on the wall to get another health pack. Enter the cylindrical room and activate the panel to open the door. If you wish you can go left down the corridor to talk to a droid but this is doesn’t do anything. You just get told that destroyer droids have been sent for to stop the 2 Jedi on the ship at which point a destroyer droid comes and you have to destroy it, risking precious health. Go right in the corridor and follow it to fight 2 more droids. Go up into the room on the right. Activate the panel on the wall. This will open a new room directly opposite the one you are in. A droid is in the room so dispose of it. If you had the R2 droid following you (and still alive) it will open a cylindrical room with a health pack. Activate the panel inside this room to open the door at the end of the corridor. Run along this corridor and take a right as many destroyer droids will greet you. Go into the opening on the left, Qui-Gon will follow if you have left him behind. Run along this opening, the floor will give way and you fall, Qui-Gon jumps over it leaving you alone. This is a good point to save the game. Leave the room and follow the path. On walking along the catwalk you will see the ship that you arrived on being blown up. At the end of the catwalk enter the room. Notice the maintenance droid around the corner. You can either lightsabre the droid or shoot it with your blaster rifle. The easiest way to destroy them is to go in fast with the lightsabre but be warned their electrical attacks can do serious damage to your health. After passing this droid follow the corridor until it comes to a junction the quickest way past is by going right but there are a few droids to take care of. Follow the corridor and it comes to another junction again go right. You’ll see a door with a triangular marking on it. You need to find a switch to open it. The switch is located along the corridor to the left of the door. Once activated be quick as it’s on a time release. A droid exits this room, destroy it. Enter the room and activate the panel in there, this is again on a time release. Run out the room go straight until you come to a junction, go right then follow the corridor round until you reach a t-section go right and jump over the grate and continue along the corridor to get a thermal detonator. Return back along the corridor and this time walk over the grate, which you will fall through. In this new corridor there will be droids so take them out. You are now faced with 3 doors, 2 of which are locked. Go through the unlocked door (on the right). Watch your back as many droids will appear from all doors. Once the droids have been dealt with enter the room. There are droids on the lower level, either push one of the crates over the edge onto them or jump down and use your lightsabre on them. Pick up the health pack in the corner if required and also save it. Hit the panel next to the lift which will open a door behind you. The panel also acts as a switch to the lift. Talk to the enemy hiding in the room for clues or kill him if you wish, or both. Go into the cylindrical room and destroy the generator. Exit the room and kill any droids. Go through the door directly across from the room you just left. Inside will be two more droids and a flying droid will attack you, kill the droids and hide from the flying droid until it leaves. There is a crate sticking out from the rest of the ones in the pile. Pull it out to reveal a hidden room; inside there is a thermal detonator and a small health pack. There is another health pack stored in a space at the top of the crates, use the crate you pulled out to reach it (requires force jump – double tap x). Go over to the lift and activate the panel to make it rise; kill the droid that is up there. After stepping off the lift go through the opening to the right. Don’t use the panel on the wall as it opens a door which holds droids and take s you back to a point earlier in the level. Save your progress here if you wish. The opening takes you onto a catwalk. Qui-Gon is on another catwalk across from you. He tells you to get onto a troop transport and you will meet when they land. Progress along the catwalk and turn right. Follow this catwalk then go left. Go along here to find a panel, activate it to move an obstruction. Turn around and go back down the catwalk and then go left, hit the panel at the end of this catwalk to move a walkway. Run across it and activate another panel, then go back the way you came, going onto the previous walkway to activate the panel which moved the obstruction. Turn round and go back down the catwalk again and take a right, there should now be a lift on the right. Activate the lift and go down to kill a droid. Go right along the catwalk, droids will fight you at breaks in the side of the catwalk. Keep going until you reach a point in the catwalk where there is a lift with 2 droids on it at one side and am empty lift on the other side. Kill the droids and jump onto the lift that was empty to start with. Obi-Wan will activate a panel himself to end the level.


Naboo Swamps

Character: Obi-Wan Kenobi

Having arrived on Naboo save your game. You start on a dry spot of land surrounded by water. Run into the water and swim towards the right until you reach another part of dry land. Many battle droids will be here so draw your lightsabre and kill them. Pick up the blaster rifle that is on the ground. Again run into the water and follow it round until you reach more dry land. Run up the steep hill, at the top you will see some one (Jar Jar Binks). After a brief talk he runs away now you have to chase him. Follow Jar Jar down the hill. Swim through the water and step onto dry land, kill the droid then cross the water via the tree that has fallen down. Several droids await you at the other side so dispose of them. Follow the corridor like path until you come to a drop, jump down to greet Jar Jar but he runs so chase him. As you progress along the path many droids will shoot at you so destroy them. Keep on going until you come to a cliff, again you see Jar Jar. Jump down into the water and swim over to him. Once on dry land he runs away again. This is a good point to save your game. Follow the path round into yet more water, swim through it and when you get to dry land jump up hill. Kill the droid then make your way across to the other side where there is another droid. Get to the top then follow Jar Jar until you lose him. Go left at the point where he disappears; follow this path along until there is a right turn. Now follow this path until you reach a cross point where there are many droids, kill all of them quickly. At the cross point go left until you reach water, swim to the nearest bit of dry land otherwise you’ll be fish food. Save your game here as it could take ages to find this area if you fall further on. Jump onto the raised dry land then jump from there to the higher bit and then again to a higher still bit. A run and jump is required to make it to the cliff, use the rock on your current piece of dried land to get extra distance. Follow the cliff round to another jump. You can see Jar Jar on the other side. Save here if you wish. Run and jump over the gap. When you land on the ground Jar Jar will talk to you about another Jedi (Qui-Gon) talk to him then he will take you to him. Again you must follow Jar Jar. He jumps over a big gap, you can jump over this too with a double jump, don’t use the vine or you will get shot in mid climb by a droid. Once on the middle pillar jump to the other side. Follow Jar Jar down the hill and continue to follow him until you lose sight of him. This will be at a big area with a steep fall. Push the wooden box over the edge then jump down onto it. The get off it and pull it to the other side of the hole to use as a boost to get up the other side. Once up there run and single jump onto the vine, make your way across it and drop down. Now jump over the logs blocking your way and begin to follow Jar Jar again. He will walk out into a clearing where there are many droids; either block their attacks with your lightsabre or use the gun to the left. Once they are taken care of follow Jar Jar to meet up with Qui-Gon, to end the level.


Otoh Gunga

Character: Obi-Wan Kenobi

When the level begins save your progress. Follow Jar Jar and Qui-Gon to meet Boss Nass. There is a cut scene where Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon negotiate with Boss Nass to release Jar Jar. After using the Jedi mind trick Boss Nass agrees to let Jar Jar go and to give you transport to the city of Naboo. Leave the chamber and go back the way you came. Go right in this sphere. Follow these corridors through the spheres until you reach a bubble lift. On the way you will encounter Guards which may block your path, use your force push to get them out of your way. DO NOT hurt them otherwise you will have to fight them throughout the level. When you reach the bubble lift activate it using the circular panel. When you get to the bottom exit the lift and then go through the right corridor, again using force push to get past the guards. Once you get into the next sphere use the corridor on the left. In the next sphere you must, again take the corridor on the left. You will then arrive in a large room and you will be on an upper balcony. At the other side of the room you will see another balcony; this is where you want to get to. Save the game. Pillars rise up from the floor for you to jump on to reach the other side. Stand at the edge of the balcony and 2 pillars will rise. Jump onto the first pillar and from there onto the other pillar then from there to the second balcony, use double jump for this. If you miss or fall don’t worry just stand on the unrisen pillar which will take you back to the start, watch out for the guards though. From the second balcony force push the guards and progress through the passage into a bubble lift. Activate the lift and arrive in a room with more pillars but this time they descend when you jump on them. There’s a blaster to pick up if you want it (on the pillar to the right). Jump your way to the other side onto the ledge. Exit the room and make your way through the corridors. Eventually you’ll end up in another corridor which has a few guards in it. Make your way to the end to find anther bubble life. In the next area quickly go to the corridor to the left. Upon entering the next room there is a ramp that goes up the way. There is a switch to the right as you enter the room. Hit it then run up the ramp and get through the door before it closes. Try not to fall it could kill you but if you survive there’s a handy box that will let you get back to the start. When you exit this room the tube corridor will move and then open up allowing you to progress. Enter the room that the corridor leads to and talk to the guard. For best results say (in this order) that you need to reach the detention area, you have a security key and finally use the option with the mind trick (highlighted in purple). Progress onto the next room. There are 2 ways to go from this room, right which is locked and left, so go to the left. In this room lies the switch for the locked door. You see the switch under the glass panel. There is a box on the floor so move it to the corner with the green button, activate the switch then a pillar at the other side of the room descends revealing another green button. Move the box to that corner. Again, hit the button and it lowers another pillar with a button. Move the box to that one and hit the button and the last pillar lowers so move the box over there, hit the button then the glass disappears. You now jump onto the button it reveals and this unlocks the door. Save your game at this point. Go through the previously discovered door and you enter a room with yet more jumping. There’s a control panel which is too high to reach so move the box over to it. Stand on the box then hit the switch. When you hit the switch jump onto the pillar and from there jump onto the balcony, do it quickly as the door is on a time release. Enter the next room and talk to the Gungan. Talk to him in this order: ask about the controls and then ask if he’d raise the bubble lifts for you. Enter the lift, activate it then you are taken to another room. There are 2 ways to go from here, take the left. Keep walking straight through until you reach the detention centre (where Jar Jar is). Make your way to the guard at the control terminal (avoid the other guards). Talk to the guard at the control terminal in this order: you’ve come for Jar Jar, use the mind trick option (Jar Jar is dangerous). The guard will then release Jar Jar. Walk down to the cell holding Jar Jar, talk to him, you can say whatever you wish. After talking follow him to get to the Bongo Bay where Qui-Gon is waiting. After a brief talk the level is finished.


The Gardens Of Theed

Character: Obi-Wan Kenobi

At the beginning of this level the bridge is blown away so you must find an alternative route to the palace. Jump off the balcony into the water below. Jump as far up the water as possible (right direction from start point) otherwise you’ll fall over a waterfall. During your swim stay as close to the walls as possible as this gives you more grip. Make sure you swim up the right-hand side so that you can get out of the water on a ledge that will take you past the mini waterfall. Jump into the paler blue coloured water and swim to the platform roughly in the middle. Follow the platform round until you come to a set of stairs. At the top of the stairs there is a series of jumps to get to your target. Make your way to the end of the single tiled platform. At the end there is a ledge but is too far away to reach so use your force push to activate a switch which will open a bridge. Activate your lightsabre as there are droids to deal with at the other side. Follow the path round dealing with the droids. Keep following the path until you reach a river with a generator in the middle. There are also droids. Use your force push again to activate a switch to destroy the generator. Get across to the other side of the water (it doesn’t matter if you stand in the water). Save the game. Follow the path until you meet some republic soldiers. A battle will take place, if you wish you can fight in it but it’ll make no difference the soldiers will take out the droids. Before progressing back track a little and look for a small cut off. Inside this area there is a soldier, talk to him and choose the first line of text each time to get a light repeating blaster. It’s a good idea to save the game. Now head back out and go to where the droid battle took place. You have to make it to the northwest corner of the large garden. The easiest way to do this is by using one wall and following it all the way around. You have to jump over some boxes to reach the exit point. Beware inside these boxes are destroyer droids. The boxes only open if you get too close to them or if you strike them with your lightsabre. To exit the garden there is a gate. A soldier is already at the gate he doesn’t know the pass code so save it before taking a guess. If you don’t get the pass code don’t worry just ask him if there’s another way out of the city then follow him. Follow him, it is more than likely he will die. Kill any droids and go up a set of stairs near a gazebo like tent. If the guard doesn’t die he will when you reach a door at the end of the path. Go through the door and follow the path. Kill the droids inside. Follow the path along to be confronted by droids. Dispose of them then hit the red button non the wall, this opens a door which you need to go through. This is the exit of the garden. Follow the main path until you reach stairs where there is a droid. Go up the stairs and press the button, this opens a gate to let water out. Go back downstairs and into the water. Swim round (left) to get to more stairs. Get to the top and push another button which drains the water at the bottom of the other staircase. Press this button to extend a bridge behind you. Cross this bridge then go to the gap between your current platform and another. Save it here because if you fall that’s you all the way back at the start of the level. Use your force push at the gap to extend another bridge, carefully cross it. Follow the new path around, avoid the mines on the ground. Go up the stairs and run towards the droid tank. Run past the tank up the stairs and face left, you should notice a lever beside the alley. Jump and use force push to activate it. This opens the inner gates of the 2 gates. If you wish go down the alley to get a health pack. Now run back through the courtyard and look for an open window, directly opposite the alley. Jump into it and kill the droid, pick up the health pack. Now go back out and look for a lower window, jump in this to find a switch. Use force push on it to open the other gate. Go out the window and run through the gates. End of level.


Escape From Naboo

Character: Obi-Wan Kenobi

Having met up with your group you and the queen are blocked off by rubble after an explosion. Save the game. To start off, follow the queen. Go down the first corridor and turn left. Follow the queen through a doorway. Keep close to her as she moves quick. After exiting a circular room, get in front of the queen to destroy a battle droid at the bottom of the stairs. Follow the path and kill the droid that comes down the stairs. The queen now takes the lead so follow her closely. Move the statue that is blocking your path. Again follow the queen, this time to a locked door. To the left there is a walkway, force push the droid that is on it and save the game. Now perform a double jump onto the walkway. Follow it round to gain access to a room via an open window. Jump onto the lower balcony if you want a proton missile launcher. Go through the window and hit the button to open the door. Once the queen enters pick up anything you need in the room and then follow her again. She will go to a corner and tell you it is not safe to proceed. Save the game. Progress and go into a door and talk to the woman. Ask her what troubles her then make a promise to return her lost son. Now go down the stairs and confront the droids. Go straight forward along the path and enter the room where you will see a boy. Jump up the ledge to get a health pack, before you talk to him. Talk to him and tell him not to go. Go back along the path and kill any droids, then return to the boy and tell him its safe to go home. Follow him to his home then receive a health pack from his grateful mother. Now go back down the stairs but this time go right. Save your game and go back for the queen before proceeding. Go around the corner and kill the droids run down the stairs, if you’re not sure where follow the queen. Talk to her and she’ll stay there while you find a way to get the gate open. Go ahead and take a left. Kill the droids and follow the path. You will eventually come across a wounded soldier who asks for water. You don’t need to get him water but can if you wish. There’s also a shield where the water is so you’d be as well. Progress past the soldier and look for a break in the railing of the bridge. Jump down here then follow the wall looking for stairs on the left. Go up these stairs and enter a room, pick up the water and the shield. Exit the room via the other door which takes you to where the soldier is. Give the water to the soldier if you wish but hurry as the shield doesn’t last forever. Follow the path along the bridge until you see an opening where droids will shoot at you. Kill them then enter the room for a health pack. Continue along the first path and jump through the window to kill another droid. Go through this room into another room with a droid. Keep on going through the rooms until you find a window which you exit through. You will end up behind the tank. Kill the droid and the tank will begin a patrol of the courtyard. When the tank moves it will reveal a switch to open the gate. Now run and get the queen. Save the game. Run across the courtyard through the gate and kill the droids. Follow the path along killing all droids and protecting the queen. Follow the queen to a set of stairs. Tell her you’ll scout ahead. Climb the stairs. Enter the room and pick up the blaster and use the panel to get a health pack. Go back for the queen and tell her to follow you. Save the game again. Go up the stairs and run to the next area leaving her to follow this will give you some time to kill the destroyer droids in the next part of the level. Kill the droids then return to the queen. At this point follow her to a locked gate which you need to open for her. Go down the stairs to kill the droid before you leave the queen. Save the game. Go back up the stairs and head along the path, look for a staircase on the left. Go inside the building and talk to the woman. Offer to help her and she will tell you where the controls for the gate are. Go to the opposite side of the room and go through the window. On the path outside the window jump over the box then double jump onto the vine to cross to the other side. Jump over the balcony railing and go through the doors. Enter the room and go left out the other side. Go along this hallway and kill the droid before entering the room. Once in this room go up the stairs and hit the switch for the gate. Save it first. Go back down the stairs and further down to press a button to let you out of the building. Go through the opened gate and meet the queen. Round the corner there are 3 mines so get rid of them before the queen passes. Keep going killing more droids along the way. You will find a raised bridge which the queen can’t get over so you must find a way to lower it. Jump onto the boat and then onto the stairs. Go up the next set of stairs onto a balcony. Use the force push to lower the bridge. Follow or take the queen (depends on how much harm she has come to before now) ahead. She will stop at a corner. Go left and kill the droids. Once this is done save the game then tell the queen to follow you. She will take the lead but run into droids so quickly kill them. The queen will stop further ahead and you will have to take out more droids (2 battle droids and a destroyer droid). After killing them go through the door up ahead. Speak to the man inside. Say you need his help and then return to the queen. The man opens a door for you, go through it. Pick up the items in this room. Follow the paths and you will find a group of droids to kill. Further on there are more droids to kill. Once this has been done return for the queen and take her into the hanger, kill the 3 droids inside and then run to the ship to meet up with the group to finish the level.

Mos Espa

Character: Qui-Gon Jinn

For this part of the game you will need to lookj for something by yourself. You land on Tatooine after your ship is damaged on the flight to Coruscant. In order to complete this level you will need to buy ship parts form Watto. Qui-Gon takes Padme and Jar Jar, with him into the city. Lead them in a north east direction from the starting point. Save the game here. There will be an opening where sand people lie. You must kill them before they get a chance to kill Jar Jar or Padme. Follow the paths until you come to a big opening. Follow the dark patches of sand to find the city entrance. From here you need to find Padme. The easiest way to find her is by walking straight form the entrance to the city. Along the way you can stop and talk to the townsfolk. For a laugh around the town find the man selling dung worms. Stand in the dung worms and people around the city will make a point of saying how bad you smell. Once you find Padme ask about Jar Jar, them ask what she’s learnt. Thank her for her information then continue down the road. Go straight ahead until you see Anakin running through an archway. When you go after him his mother will block your access. Talk to her and get her to take you to Anakin. She will take you through the back where Anakin is working on his Podracer. Talk to Anakin and ask about Watto and if Anakin would introduce them. Anakin will then lead you through a junk yard. Save your game. Once in the junkyard turn right and go under the arch. Anakin goes through a small gap so you have to jump up onto a platform above. Jump from there to the other platform. Then jump from there to another platform then again to another. You see Anakin walking over a plank, follow him and the plank will give way. The wall is then broken by a big vehicle. When it turns follow it. Jawas will attack you, kill them and pick up the fuel converter. Follow Anakin to the next area where you must push a box against the wall. Jump from that box onto another then jump down the other side. Make your way to Wattos shop from here. Talk to Watto and if you have a fusion coil he will trade with you. Don’t worry if you haven’t got it. Talk to Watto until you agree on a bet. Leave the shop via the other exit and talk to Anakin. For the bet you will need Anakin, he will be piloting your podracer. But first you will need to get parts to fix it. Take around 30 minutes to familurise yourself with the level. This will make the next part easier. Now go back to Anakin. Walk down the street until you come across an alien dressed in red, she is leaning on a pillar fixed to the ground. Talk to her and you will find out that her son is being held prisoner by Captain Neg. Tell her you will speak to Neg. His house is up the stairs behind the alien woman. Do not go up there as it will just lead to you being shot by a security turret. Leave her then back track to fid an alien standing next to one of the guards. There will be a set of stairs beside them, go up them. Enter the house at the top of the stairs and proceed through it. Step out of the building onto a ledge. Follow the ledge round until you see a rope above your head. Jump on this rope and then immediately jump back down as an alien will come from around a corner and begin shooting you. Take out a blaster and shoot him dead. Now you can cross the rope without being shot down off it. You will end up in a green room with 2 aliens, they will tell you not to go on but ignore them. . head up the stairs. In the corner of the next room there is a blaster pistol, picking it up will trigger a sentry robot so destroy it. Leave the room through the window and follow this ledge round. Enter the building but make sure your lightsabre isn’t out otherwise the enemies inside will attack you. Save the game here. Make your way through the house and as you leave draw your lightsabre as you will be attacked by a goon. The boy you are to rescue is in the courtyard but as you enter a monster will be released. You will have to kill it. The easiest way is to use a blaster and keep your distance from it as it will give you a lot of damage.


Mos Espa
