Have you ever wanted to see Hulk Hogan vs. Bret “the Hitman” one more time? Or wanted to see Rob Van Dam take on Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka? Well here is your chance. Exhibition ------------ Here, you can play as any character in the game. (Provided you have unlocked them) Single, Tag Team, Triple Threat Elimination, & Fatal Four Way Elimination matches are all here. You do not ‘win’ anything for playing an Exhibition match. Nevertheless, it is a good idea to get some practice in before you play tournament or career mode. Career --------- In career, you are in the big leagues. Here, you travel around America and gain championship belts. Along the way, ‘The Mouth of the South’ Jimmy Hart manages you to help develop the storyline. In career, you will notice a small bar between the wrestler’s names labelled ‘Match Excitement’ (This determines your popularity) Here are some ways to get your Match Excitement meter up: For A High Spot bonus: Do moves such as the Super Kick, Inverted Stinger, Stinger, or Mounted Punches until you get the bonus. For A Extreme Damage bonus: The easiest way it to get the Extreme Damage bonus is to do a submission move such as the Sharpshooter or crossface. For A Weapon Damage bonus: Grab and hit your opponent with a weapon (press Up on your D- Pad at the ring apron) For A Bloody match bonus: Turn on "Blood" in the options. Hit and stomp on your opponents; especially their head. Alternatively, hit them with a weapon a lot. If you’re lucky, you will get a Weapon Damage Bonus and Bloody match bonus in one. For A Ref bump bonus: Make sure your opponent is down on the floor for a bit. Whilst he is lying on the floor, run at the ref. You do not need to attack him to make him fall down. For A Reversal bonus: Do a suplex, your opponent should counter this. Then counter your opponents move. Counter 3 times. (If your opponent doesn’t counter the first time, keep doing a suplex move until he does) (To do a suplex, grapple your opponent and press A) To do a Move Variety bonus: Mix up your moves; for example a Grapple, Stomp, then another Grapple. I find jumping to the outside of the ring works best. To get a KO bonus: Beat up your opponents until they KO. They should KO after about six moves after all their health is gone. Warning: If you haven’t done enough combo’s or loose the match, some of your ‘match excitement’ meter will be deducted at the end. -------------------------------------------- Unlocking wrestlers in season mode -------------------------------------------- To unlock Captain Lou Albano: Successfully complete career mode with a wrestler in the "Hated" category. To unlock David Von Erich: Successfully complete career mode as Kevin Von Erich. To unlock Dory Funk: Successfully complete career mode as Terry Funk. To unlock Fritz Von Erich: Successfully complete career mode as Kerry Von Erich. To unlock Jimmy Hart: Successfully complete career mode with a wrestler in the "Loved" category. To unlock King Kong Bundy: Win the Southeast Territory in career mode. To unlock Michael Von Erich: Successfully complete career mode as David Von Erich. To unlock Sabu: Complete career mode as The Sheik --------------------- Tournament -------------------- There are 3 types of Tournament. Verses, Tag Team, & Tag Belt. A useful tip is to set ‘Number of wrestlers’ to 2 and ‘Number of matches’ to 2. This way you can quickly unlock Ivan Koloff. Other wrestlers you can unlock are: Mr. Fuji, by winning the Tag belts and you can unlock Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton by winning the tag tournament. ---------------------- Hint and cheats ---------------------- Easy win: Keep using your Y button move. Your opponent cannot counter this. It takes away a lot of damage to. Warning! : Do not do this in season mode. You will get your match excitement decreased because of repeated moves. Unlock all wrestlers: Press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, Y(2), X at the main menu. A message will confirm correct code entry. This cheat, in my view is pointless as there is no point of playing the game if you use this straight away. It has eliminated the goal to unlock the wrestlers. Hope you found this walkthrough useful.
