AGENT MODE ONLY Mission 1.1: dataDyne Central - Defection Watch the intro if you haven't done so already. The cut scenes in Perfect Dark can hold vital information for the completion of the game, so watch them and listen up! You will start on the helipad, on the roof of the dataDyne building. Walk forward, to the end of the helipad and look down. Shoot the guard who is patrolling beneath you, and jump down. Don't worry, you won't be injured. Pick up his CMP150 submachine gun. It will be useful later. Face yourself in the direction which he was walking, go forward and look for a door on your left. Go through it, and the door afterwards. There is a guard round the next corner. Pop your head round and show him what a bullet in the head feels like. Run down the slope and through the door on the left. Go down the stairs killing any guards that get in your way. Go through the wooden door at the bottom of the stairs. You should be able to clear this bit without arousing the suspicion of any guards. Take the lift down to the very bottom floor of the building. As the lift reaches the bottom floor, you should be able to pluck off the two shocktroopers guarding the main entrance, before the lift stops and opens its door. Whip out your CMP150 and fill the guards full of lead, every one of them. The sound of the gun will alert more guards. Kill 'em all. Take the wooden door to the left, with the computer in front of it, and ready yourself for action again. Empty the guards of their lives and trundle straight through. A secret door will open, revealing a lift with the dataDyne logo stamped on the door. Go forth, open the lift and, hey presto, mission complete. Mission 1.2: dataDyne Research - Investigation Watch the (surprisingly pleasing) intro. This is why there is an unconscious guard in the lift where you start. Exit the lift and turn left. Kill any guards that interfere with you. There should only be one in this corridor. Go through the silver door ahead of you and prepare for a fight. The CMP150 which you picked up from the fellow behind you might help here. Put them out of their misery. Go through the large silver door marked "Caution" and kill the guards in there. Now deploy the CamSpy and send the little fella through the door in front of you. Take a picture of the green isotope within. Objective 1: Complete Send the CamSpy back to Jo and press A to return control to her. Exit this room now and go through the other, similar large silver door. Kill the guard here in the small room. Through the next door is a large corridor littered with guards. Waste them all. From the door which you just came through, go straight ahead and you will find yourself looking at a shiny dD logo. Turn right and go through the door, making holes in each guard. Carry on through and you will be stopped by laser bars. Wait here until a small silver and blue robot comes along and gets rid of them. Follow it, because the laser bars won't stay gone for long. Kill the guard in the next room and carry on through. Kill the two guards who are having a break. To your left is a glass cabinet. Smash the pane of glass in the far right of the cabinet and you will find a handy little shield device there. Now carry on through the next door, where you'll find two guards guarding a computer terminal. Kiss them goodbye and whip out your data link. Connect it to the computer. Keep an eye on the door that you entered through. If the alarm was set off at any time before you reached this point, then guards will come flooding in through that door. But if you got through without the alarm being set off, then you won't be disturbed. Once the door is unlocked, open it up and take a stroll down the corridor. Three guards await you, hoping to fill you with metal. Give them the fitting punishment. Straight ahead is a large door. Open it and stand back. Drone guns are camouflaged on the ceiling. Shoot them until they explode and wander through the next door to meet the Doctor. Mission 1.3: dataDyne Central - Extraction Turn your Night Vision on and walk slightly forward. A door will open slightly to your left, revealing a guard behind a table. Send a bullet into his head. Round the corner is a guard, hiding behind a table. Strangely, he can see you in pitch black. It doesn't matter. Your gun will black him out. Now, slowly edge your way around the corner. This part is tricky. Move just so that you can see the corner of the guard's shoulder. Shoot it, and keep shooting until he dies. Do the same for the guard to the left of him. Come out of your little hidey-hole and turn right. The guard behind the sofa will see you and happily present his head for the shooting. Take this opportunity to show him what the business end of your gun can do. You should still be using the Falcon 2 (scope). Go round the corner and two guards await their death behind the reception desk. Give it to them. Round the next corner and another guard is happy to get a bullet in him. Round the next corner and two guards await you at the top of the stairs. Pluck 'em both off. Call the lift by pressing B at the door. When the lift comes down, get in, but push the hovering sapient out of the lift. This makes life a whole lot easier, because he won't be getting in your way. Close the door with the Doctor outside and wait for the lift to take you to the top. Objective 1: Complete As soon as you come out of the lift, turn right and go right round the lift to find another guard gleefully standing at point-blank range. Stop his heart and carry on through the double doors behind the table. Continue around the outside of the (strangely small) dataDyne building, ignoring the office doors to your left. Kill the two women and pick up their shotguns. Switch to the shotgun now to make life a little easier. Run through the door in front of you when you get round the corner and show the bodyguard what it feels like to be killed. Get her shotgun cartridges and go back the way you came. Get into the first lift on your left as you come round the corner. Once again, push Dr. Caroll out of the lift so that he doesn't get in the way. The lift will take you up one floor. Go round the corner to your right. Kill the two guards behind the barriers and go through the double doors to your left. Go through the secret door which opens in the wall to your left as you approach. Go through the door to your left and quickly kill the bodyguard by the computer as soon as the door opens or she'll turn you into powder. Turn left and go through the door in front of you. The door across the room will open and two bodyguards will team up on you, so act fast. Grab their guns for later. They'll be useful. Turn left and you'll be facing the lifts once again. Go towards them and you'll see a wooden door the right of the right lift. Go through it and take the stairwell up to the top. You will here three blokes arguing about how to use a rocket launcher. Kill the shocktrooper, but leave the office workers. Go through the door to the right of the podium and up the stairs. Get your shotgun ready, reload it if necessary. This part is tricky. Open door at the top of the stairs and Jo will automatically walk through it. Cassandra will stand above you, blabbering on about you being annoying. Run under the railing that she is standing on and shoot the bodyguards underneath it. Put on your Night Vision and kill the bodyguard who is guarding the light switch. Now kill the one to the right of you. Run for the light switch and switch the lights on. Turn your Night Vision off. The remaining bodyguard will be blinded temporarily. Finish her off with a quick shotgun blast and run up the slope. Objective 2: Complete Go through the door by the bodyguard's corpse and turn right. Go up the slope and up to the helipad. You shouldn't have anyone after you now, except Dr. Caroll. The cut scene should kick in as soon as you step in the middle of the helipad. Mission 2: Daniel Carrington's Villa - Hostage One As soon as you start, the pressure is on. Run straight forward towards a concrete wall and zoom in on the pier to find two dataDyne guards holding up a hostage. Kill the two guards quickly, and the hostage will leg it. Surprisingly, she escapes within ten seconds, considering the fact the villa is packed with guards. Objective 1: Complete Now turn around, go round the side of the observatory and down the sandy path. Kill the guard on the floor. Jump down the gap in front of you and kill the two guards there who are waiting for you. Turn right and carry on down the path, killing every guard that gets in your way. At the end, turn left and kill the guard above you, on the pillar. Turn right and snipe each sniper that you can see. Kill any guards that try to ambush you from the ground as well. Run straight towards the stairs going upwards into the villa itself and go through the double doors. Use you sniper rifle to pop a cap into the guards in the far room, and then your CMP150 to kill the guards to your right. Find the stairs in this room and go down them. Go through the door to your right and into the shower to pick up a shield device, then come back out of the bedroom. Turn left from the bedroom door and storm into the room ahead. Loads of guards await your arrival here. Pump metal into every one of them. Go right, past a flight of stairs and kill the two guards looking out the window to your right. Now go down the stairwell to your left. Run around this large wooden room and clear it of all the guards. If you don't then they will give you grief later. Once the area is clear, go back to where you entered this room from. From here, find the door on the left with a stairwell behind it. Go through the door and down the stairwell. A guard will be in front of you, guarding a door. Kill him, then turn around because behind you is another guard guarding another door. Kill him. Open this door and quickly shoot through it, because a guard will try sneaking up on you, then close the door again and go to the other door. Go through and there will be a room with a swimming pool in the middle of the yard. Kill the guards here and go back to the other door. Go through and follow the pipeline straight ahead and kill the guards in the next area. When all is clear, use the two consoles there to power up the two big machines. Go back to the pipeline and follow it round to the right this time. Further up the pipeline will turn left. Kill the guard to the right of you here, and then follow it round. Kill all the guards around the big blue machine that is situated here, and use the computer on the side of it to power it up. Objective 2: Complete Go back out of this area, go straight across, and through the door. Go down the stairs and turn right. Kill the guard and carry on going this way. Kill the two guards waiting here. Now turn around and go back to the bottom of the stairs. Go straight ahead and open the door. Shoot the guards head through the glass bottles. It doesn't matter if you break any. Walk through the door and kill the guard to your right, again through the bottles. Carry on down this corridor and do the same to kill every other guard, except for maybe one or two who aren't hiding behind the shelves. There will be a door at the end of this corridor. Hopefully the closest guard to the door will drop a key card when you kill him. Use it to get through. Mission 3.1: Chicago: Stealth Pull out your Falcon 2 straight away and use it to bop the guard and the civilian round the head. That way, no-one is the wiser of your presence. Now quickly run through the tunnel to your right. Turn right and shoot the two guards patrolling the street. One is over at the far left. Now hurry forwards before the G5 Surveillance droid comes round the corner. Duck into the alley to your right. Kill each guard who awaits you there, being careful not to pluck off any civilians. You should now be in a small square area with oil barrels and a dumpster. Go straight forward for now and as quickly as you can, pop a cap into the FBI agent before he calls for reinforcements. He's the one in the long, black trench coat. Now do the same for the guards in this area, including the two up on the fire exit. Marvel at the sight of the highest guard toppling over the railings and falling to land at your feet. It can sometimes be a laugh! Once the area is clear, go back to the little area with the dumpster and oil barrels. Push the dumpster up against the barrels and pump bullets into the barrel that is closest to the dumpster. The dumpster will explode, revealing a small, white briefcase. Pick up the briefcase to acquire a secret BombSpy. This is the good bit, because the G5 Surveillance droid doesn't attack the BombSpy. Take it back the way you came in to the alley, so that the BombSpy is on the street where you first found the entrance to the alley. Wait for the droid to go past the BombSpy. It will turn around and go back. Slowly follow it. As soon as it goes round the first corner after turning round, resume control to Joanna. Now, run over to a small gap on the other side of the road, to your right. Make sure you pick up the BombSpy as you go. Kill the guards that litter this sewery area and turn right. You will find a passage which is too low to walk through. Duck down as low as you can get, but don't go through because the G5 droid will notice you. Send the BombSpy through slightly, just so that you can see where the droid is going. It will float past the screen, going from right to left, then turn round and come back, going left to right. Once it has past your view from left to right, run under the drain and collect the equipment. Objective 1: Complete Go back under the low passage and kill the guards that have now appeared. Go back to the entrance where you came in to this area, but stay hidden in case the droid is there. Send the BombSpy out onto the street and wait for the droid to float over to the taxi, and then back again. Once it is away from the taxi, run towards the taxi and whip out your reprogrammer. Reprogram the taxi and then get control of the BombSpy again. Send it after the droid, but make sure you overtake it. Turn left and the BombSpy will be over the top of the drain where the equipment once rested in objective 1. Turn right and zoom into the parking lot. Loads of guards will surround it. Quickly detonate it to wipe them all out. Objective 2: Complete Control will return to Jo now, so just slowly edge your way out of the sewery alley. Ahead of you, the taxi should be gone. Turn left and watch the droid appear on screen. The droid will suddenly jerk and appear to be flying lower than it was before. Sit back and watch the explosions for a while. Once it is all over, run to where you detonated the BombSpy. Dead bodies will litter the car park. A green button will be on the wall to your left. Do NOT press it. Carry on straight ahead. When you reach the middle of the car park, the cut scene will kick in. Mission 3.2: G5 Building in Chicago - Reconnaissance This mission is difficult from the word 'Go'. As soon as you start, two guards will cloak themselves and become invisible. Grab the CMP150 from the dead guard, and pump bullets into the cloaked guards every chance you get. It is very hard when they keep cloaking. Keep moving, making sure that you can see the whole room and be ready for them de-cloaking. As soon as you kill the second guard, he will drop a key card and you will be able to open the big orange door in the middle of the wall. Go through the door and turn right. Send a bullet into the back of the head of the guard who is examining the switch there. Pick up his CMP150. You'll need it. Reload your CMP150 and press the button that the guard was examining. This will turn off the lights in the next room, making it easier to see the guards de-cloaking. Go through the door to your left. Go to the far corner of the room with the glass by a blue door. Step between the two panes of glass and leg it to the corner furthest away from this door. You must be extra quick for this. Some guards will "appear" there and then cloak themselves. With a sharp eye and quick reaction, you might be able to pump lead into them before they get the chance. That's two guards down. Now kill the other two and grab the key card which the last guard should've dropped. Go over to the blue door behind the glass, but don't open it yet. Take this opportunity to exterminate the guard on the other side of the door, by shooting through the window. Go through the door and get his gun. Search round the back of the stairwell in this room to find a shield. Wait by the next door until you see a guard pass it. Watch through the window if you need to see. As soon as he walks past, open the door and sneak past him. Turn right and guard the alarm switch, which will be on the wall to your right. Kill each guard in this room with a quiet gun, like your Falcon 2 +. This reduces the likeliness of the guards in the other room from hearing you and setting off the alarm in that room. Go up the stairs to your left. Deploy the CamSpy. Slowly and carefully guide it along the metal platform along the ceiling. Keep it slow so that the guards don't hear it and to reduce the likeliness of it falling off. Send it through all the way and a cut scene will kick in. Objective 1: Complete When the cut scene has ended, follow the metal platform like you did with the CamSpy, but instead of following it round to the left, look downwards to the right. You will see an alarm switch in the wall, with a guard next to it. Sometimes another guard will come through the door to his right, but not always. Kill them both if the other one comes through the door. You will hear a guard say something about setting off the alarm. Blow his head off quickly before he manages to reach it. Quite often, he is standing behind you, by a door which leads to the room you just came from. When all is clear, proceed through the door to the left of the alarm and up the stairs. Go through the door and turn right. Three guards will try to hurt you. Kill them all. Go through the door to your right. The big blue safe is in front of you but locked. To your right is a switch. Attach your door decoder to the switch and wait for it to do its work. Whilst this is happening, loads of guards will try to bushwhack you. Your guns will come in handy here. Use them on the guards. When the safe opens, go in and admire the BAFTA award on the left, then pick up the disc on the right. Objective 2: Complete Get out of the safe room and turn left. There will be a corridor on your right. Go down there and the wall will have exploded on your left. Go through the gaping hole that has appeared there. If the hole isn't there, follow the corridor round and up the stairs. The hole will be there instead. Trundle on through. Mission 4.1: Area 51 - Infiltration Watch the cut scene for a short time. Wait for Carrington to say, "This is your entry point. . ." Now press a button. Quickly pick off the two guards standing on the helipad with there backs towards you. Now blow up the inactive sentry gun to your right. This stops any other guards from activating it. Pick up all the grenades and ammo that the guards dropped. You'll need them later. Turn around and go down the passageway. Kill the guards patrolling around here. Round the corner is a sentry gun in the distance. You're not going anywhere fast until it's gone. Do what you must, preferably with bullets. Carry on round and another sentry gun is waiting on your left. Get rid of it. Run to the crates on your right, on a piece of concrete and duck behind them. Wait for the guards in the tower to stop shooting at you, then leg it towards the tower. Go up the ladder and send the guards to hell. Grab their weapons. Go back down the ladder and kill the guard in the distance at the bottom of the tunnel. Go and get his weapons. There are two guards to your right at the end of the tunnel and a sentry gun to your left. Shoot rapidly at the sentry gun to weaken its armour. This will make the guards happily present themselves to your gun barrel. Take them out. Now its back to the sentry gun. A rapid burst of fire should take it out. Duck behind the wall and wait for it to stop shooting if it insists on killing you. This will alert more guards from behind the buildings. Waste 'em. A sentry gun to your left will begin shooting at you from above a silver door. Destroy it, and guards will come flooding out of the door. Kill each one of them. The guard dressed in brown will drop two Magsecs. Very handy. The robot interceptors to your right won't be bothering you on Agent. They'll stay calmly grounded, so there isn't mush point in destroying them. There is one quieter, brown vehicle in the left shelter by the interceptors. Tap B twice next to it to climb on and ride it. It's a hoverbike! Take it back up the concrete tunnel to the tower where the two guards once stood, with a red switch in it. Don't go up there yet, but get of the hoverbike and go back to the fence with the hole in it, leading to a small helipad. Look down slightly and chuck a grenade into the white area just in front of you. Get it right and loads of land mines around the grenade will explode, allowing you safe access to the throbbing weapon on the helipad. Chuck another grenade on the other side of the helipad to blow up some more mines. This allows access to the small hole in the wall to your left. Crouch down to get in. You'll pick up a shield on your way through. At the end, don't come out of the hole just yet. Wait for a guard to pass you and kill him to make it a little bit easier clearing up the rest of the guards. Kill all the guards on this side of the building in front of you. Don't proceed into the open just yet. Slowly edge your way around each corner so that you can get rid of the sentry guns mounted on the sides of the building. There are three of them. Once that's done, kill the technician dressed in brown over by the lone interceptor. He'll drop a key card. Go back through the tunnel now and back to your hoverbike. Press the red button in the tower to open up the large gates in front of the tower. Climb on the hoverbike and zoom through the gates before they close. Ride over to the right, where the lone sentry gun was, and you'll see a square structure in the ground, with a pit in the middle. Climb down the ladder on the side of the pit and go through the silver door. Get your explosives ready (not the grenades, but the explosives). Press Z next to the computer between the mainframes. A loud beep will start and two guards will appear at the door. Get out of this room quickly, disposing of the guards. Grab their guns and climb on the hoverbike. Objective 1: Complete Press B near the black screen on the wall to your right. It will turn green. And the lift next to it will open. Kill the guards inside and take the hoverbike in. Wait for the lift to take you down, underground, where you'll be ambushed by loads of guards with dragons. Kill each one of them. When all is clear, pick up all the ammo you can find and go up the slope on the opposite side of the room. Continue riding along the metal platform along the top of the room. Turn right when you reach the junction in the metal platform and call the lift with B. Get into the lift and it will take you down a few floors. Guards will be waiting for you. Empty this room of life and go down to the floor. Three guards will come out of a room and hide behind the crates in front of a silver door. Show them the way to hell and go through the door which they just emerged from.
