To controll the car whilst sliding use the steering to change the angle of the car, the brake to slow the car down and the accelerator to speed away, make sure you line up the car before soing this by turning away from the skid. ///////////////// ///Near Misses/// ///////////////// These are possibly the most dangerous things you can do in Burnout 2 to gain points. The best way to do these is to line yourself up early, and when you get near the car don't turn towards it but away to ensure there is no colision. ///////// ///Air/// ///////// The only thing i can say here is hit the bumps dead straight if possible, otherwise as soon as you hit the ground you get a bitch of a car to controll for a few seconds. This has happened to me a number of times, most of them ending up as crashes, however if you manage to regain controll of the car it's a great feeling. ////////////// ///Oncoming/// ////////////// This is definately the most exilerating part of Burnout 2, it is also the best way to fill the boost bar, however it's bloody dangerous. First of all get in the wrong lane when there's a gap, the best way not to crash is to stick to the centre line in the road, this has allways worked for me. If you need to turn, think twice about drifting as this means you take up more width of the road and are more likely to clip an oncoming car. Try and stay in there for as long as possible, if you feel it is getting beyond your controll get out quick and as soon as you feel you are ready get back in there. /////////////////////// ///Starting The Race/// /////////////////////// Use this sequence of buttons to gain an edge over your opponents at the start of a race: First hold the (x) button and tap the ([]) button while holdind the (x). This will start your wheels spinning, to get the good start just after 1 is shouted let go of (x) then press it again dtraight away, it's not easy and if you've done it right then you should hear the boost noise. ///////////////////////////////// ///Once You Have Done All That/// ///////////////////////////////// Try the more difficult tracks, my favorite being the Interstate Loop Reverse, plainly because it is mainly on the wrong side of the road and there are lots of cars out. You could also try multiple things at the same time, like drifting while in the wrong side of the road and getting a near miss at the same time, it's not impossible, i've done it a couple of times.
