The Besaid Aurochs is a well-balanced team that can cope with practically any situation. Both strikers can learn all the techs, so this makes them a very versatile team. I would advise that you change this team as soon as possible because their stats aren't too great at low levels, but you can come back to them later if you wish. I would recommend using Tidus and Datto at later levels. Tidus - Already on team. Stats-wise he's a decent striker, and his Jecht Shots give him a slight edge over others. Plus you don't need to pay him. Be careful though because he isn't very good at defending. SP 67 HP 9999 EN 80 AT 23 PA 49 BL 19 SH 78 CA 20 Datto - Luca - Besaid Aurochs' Dressing Room. A decent striker at all levels, and very quick so he can outrun the defenders. Team him up with Nedus for a very nasty offensive team. Highly recommended. SP 90 HP 8567 EN 65 AT 26 PA 34 BL 26 SH 62 CA 20 Letty - Luca - Besaid Aurochs' Dressing Room. Good midfielder, but players such as Kiyuri, Svanda, and Mifurey soon make Letty redundant. Use him if the other midfielders are at low levels or taken by other teams. SP 60 HP 9209 EN 61 AT 37 PA 83 BL 39 SH 39 CA 20 Jassu - Luca - Besaid Aurochs' Dressing Room. He's an adequate defender, and slightly quicker than your average player so he can catch up with the forwards before they get near the goal. SP 67 HP 9999 EN 37 AT 50 PA 52 BL 44 SH 20 CA 20 Botta - Luca - Besaid Aurochs' Dressing Room. Good block, but it's a shame about the EN and PA. He's very good at defending due to his high BL, but he's not very good on the offensive so he needs Tackle Slip 2. SP 60 HP 9121 EN 34 AT 46 PA 33 BL 64 SH 26 CA 20 Keepa - Luca - Besaid Aurochs' Dressing Room. Replace ASAP with Nimrook. He could be a striker as he has the highest SH in the game. SP 53 HP 8028 EN 45 AT 22 PA 23 BL 57 SH 99 CA 39 b) Luca Goers - They think they're the best. They're wrong. The Luca Goers are the second hardest team to contend with up to level 40, but after that they become disappointingly poor in comparison with other teams. I would recommend recruiting Raudy, but only if Nimrook or Nizarut are unavailable. Bickson - Luca Harbour - No. 3 Dock. He has very low EN and SH for a striker, but if you equip him with Invisible Shot then he should be able to score, even against Nimrook. SP 60 HP 7000 EN 40 AT 33 PA 25 BL 19 SH 45 CA 20 Abus - Luca Harbour - No. 3 Dock. He is slightly faster then Bickson, with a little more EN. However, he will also need the Invisible Shot if he has any chance of scoring at the higher levels. SP 61 HP 6990 EN 44 AT 23 PA 24 BL 16 SH 43 CA 20 Graav - Luca Harbour - No. 3 Dock. The second fastest Goer, but in comparison with the other MFs in the game he is very poor and not much use, except prior to Lv. 40. SP 62 HP 7465 EN 46 AT 28 PA 44 BL 36 SH 33 CA 21 Doram - Luca Harbour - No. 3 Dock. She's definitely the cutest girl in the Blitzball Tournament, but when it comes to performing she isn't much to write home about. However, she does have the very useful Nap Pass 3. SP 60 HP 7982 EN 32 AT 38 PA 42 BL 36 SH 20 CA 20 Balgerda - Luca Harbour - No. 3 Dock. Similar to Doram stats-wise, but she doesn't come with Nap Pass 3 so she isn't as good overall. SP 60 HP 8523 EN 36 AT 38 PA 36 BL 23 SH 19 CA 20 Raudy - Luca Harbour - No. 3 Dock. This guy's not too bad actually. Makes a decent goalie at all levels, and can be used if Nimrook is signed to a different team or at a low level. SP 69 HP 7002 EN 63 AT 16 PA 21 BL 37 SH 30 CA 48 c) Kilika Beasts - Entered the tournament to bring happiness back to the people of Kilika. Before Lv. 60 the Kilika Beasts have quite low stats, but as soon as they hit level 60 they all get a huge boost and become very good. All of the Beasts come complete with all the techs, except the special ones, which are only available to Tidus and Wakka. I would recommend that you try to recruit as many players from this team as possible, but mainly Larbeight, Vuroja, and Kulukan. Larbeight - Kilika - Pier. In my opinion this guy is the best striker. Any Shot tech gives him 99 SH, and he is quite good on the defensive due to his high AT. Highly recommended. SP 60 HP 9999 EN 87 AT 50 PA 22 BL 26 SH 96 CA 20 Isken - Kilika - House. This guy is also amazing. He has the highest EN of any player, and he has a very good SH to match. If you give him Tackle Slip 2 then he will be able to break through a whole team, and still manage to score afterwards. A very good player. SP 60 HP 9999 EN 99 AT 33 PA 30 BL 18 SH 81 CA 20 Vuroja - Kilika - Just to the right of Larbeight, swimming in the water. He is an amazing MF. He's got all the right qualities, high EN, PA, AT and BL, and he has the highest PA possible which make him the best MF in the game. I recommended Vuroja to anyone, but having him on your team does make the game a bit boring, because he's just so good! SP 60 HP 9999 EN 75 AT 54 PA 99 BL 65 SH 28 CA 20 Kulukan - Kilika - Tavern. She's the best all-round defender with very nice PA, AT and BL. Any passing tech will give her 99 PA, allowing her to pass over almost anyone, which is beneficial because her EN isn't terribly high. A great partner for Ropp, and a highly recommended player. SP 60 HP 9317 EN 36 AT 64 PA 96 BL 64 SH 18 CA 12 Deim - Kilika - Temple. She's very similar to Kulukan stats-wise, but with a lower AT. She would make a good partner for a defender with high AT but low BL, such as Ropp or Irga Ronso. SP 60 HP 9999 EN 37 AT 46 PA 89 BL 69 SH 16 CA 20 Nizarut - Kilika - Temple. He's the third best goalie, and a great keeper if Nimrook is signed to another team. All his stats are hovering between 50 and 60, and so he can be placed anywhere on the field and manage perfectly well. SP 57 HP 7930 EN 56 AT 51 PA 45 BL 62 SH 50 CA 60 d) Al Bhed Psyches - They fight for a good cause, but nobody seems to notice. This team has some of the best players in the game below level 60. Each player has high BL, which can cause a problem if none of your players have particularly high PA. Before Lv. 50 they are the hardest team to beat, no doubt about it. I would recommend recruiting Nimrook, and possibly Judda or Lakkam. Eigaar - Airship - Storage Room - standing in the north of the room. At the lower levels Eigaar is a monster of a player, but around Lv. 60 his stats stop increasing. For a striker he has high AT and BL that enable him to take the ball from the defenders. Although his EN isn't very high his PA and SH are high enough to score with. Recommended for a person who prefers a defensive team. SP 60 HP 9999 EN 46 AT 31 PA 47 BL 47 SH 61 CA 12 Blappa - Airship - Storage Room - running laps around Judda. Like Eigaar, Blappa is a demon striker at the lower levels. He is more offensive than Eigaar, with a higher EN. His AT and BL are lower than Eigaar's, but still higher than usual. Recommended for players who don't want an overpowered forward. SP 60 HP 9920 EN 60 AT 23 PA 37 BL 38 SH 59 CA 13 Berrik - Airship - Storage Room - sitting on the wall on the west side of the room. Very good at the lower levels, but like Eigaar and Blappa, the other MFs become better than him after Lv. 60. Still, he is quite good at supporting the other players on the team. Recommended for a team with good defenders so they can offer support just in case. SP 60 HP 9254 EN 56 AT 43 PA 69 BL 48 SH 33 CA 20 Judda - Airship - Storage Room - crouched on the floor in the middle of the room. Very good defender at all levels, and she makes a great MF as well. She's on a par with Kulukan but your choice depends on your style of play. SP 60 HP 9631 EN 60 AT 50 PA 76 BL 61 SH 10 CA 22 Lakkam - Airship - Corridor - training in the corridor outside the storage room. Similar to Judda, and equally as good. Definitely recommended if Kulukan and Judda are taken by other teams. SP 60 HP 9999 EN 70 AT 49 PA 66 BL 68 SH 22 CA 21 Nimrook - Airship - Storage Room - squatting near Berrik. What can I say? This guy's amazing! He's got the highest catch in the whole game, and is the best goalie right from Lv. 1. You need this guy on your team, whatever the costs. SP 60 HP 8719 EN 83 AT 27 PA 31 BL 33 SH 24 CA 67 NB. Both Judda and Lakkam make good midfielders. e) Guado Glories - Their leader is dead, yet they strive onwards. All members of the Guado team are quick with high BL, and they use this to their advantage. They like to speed past your defenders and throw a long pass to another player. The only way to stop them is to tackle them and pass to someone with high EN. I would recommend recruiting Nav or Auda. Giera - Guadosalam - To the right of the shop. A useful striker that can act as a set-up for your other striker. His high PA compensates for his EN. You may find that his high BL can help your MF out of a sticky situation. SP 77 HP 8930 EN 51 AT 22 PA 79 BL 41 SH 70 CA 12 Zazi - Guadosalam - House on west side of the town. Very similar to Giera, but with a few minor differences. Zazi comes with better techs, but Giera has better stats. It's up to you to chose between them. SP 77 HP 8450 EN 51 AT 12 PA 70 BL 36 SH 64 CA 21 Nav - Guadosalam - Running between Farplane and shop. Very good. His high SP and BL make him an outstanding MF or defender, and he makes a great partner for Ropp or Irga Ronso. Highly recommended. SP 84 HP 7440 EN 65 AT 54 PA 65 BL 82 SH 33 CA 12 Auda - Guadosalam - Next to chest containing Elixir. Similar to Nav, but slightly slower and with a lower BL. Use her if Nav or Naida are already signed to a different team. SP 72 HP 9513 EN 65 AT 57 PA 57 BL 78 SH 9 CA 23 Pah - Guadosalam - Same House as Zazi. Much the same as Auda, but she doesn't have the quality of either Auda or Nav. Still, I wouldn't say she's bad, just try to get Auda or Nav first. SP 69 HP 9999 EN 42 AT 53 PA 58 BL 75 SH 9 CA 12 Noy - Guadosalam - Inn, on the right. He's the slowest Guado, but being a keeper that doesn't really matter. He's great at lower levels, but soon there are so many other options to choose from that Noy just fades into the background. SP 64 HP 9999 EN 60 AT 41 PA 31 BL 23 SH 1 CA 43 f) Ronso Fangs - Taking part in the tournament to honour their fallen brothers. The Ronso team are very nasty at the high levels. They all have huge EN, which makes it very difficult to get the ball off them, and when you do finally get the ball, you have to contend with their defenders high AT. You need to use speed to overcome these giants; otherwise you can look forward to a long slow match. I would advise recruiting Basik and Irga; she's one of the best defenders and a great midfielder. Argai - Luca - No. 4 Dock. Up to Lv. 80 Argai has the highest SH of any player. If you couple this with his great EN you will see he is a very nasty striker that doesn't stop for anyone. SP 42 HP 5570 EN 84 AT 34 PA 32 BL 36 SH 80 CA 16 Basik - Luca - No. 4 Dock. Very similar to Argai, but with even higher EN. He is ever so slightly quicker, and has better defensive stats. This giant will make a great striker if you ignore his low SP. SP 43 HP 5515 EN 88 AT 47 PA 16 BL 31 SH 80 CA 12 Gazna - Luca - No. 4 Dock. At the beginning Gazna has the highest EN of anybody, and appears to be great. However, his stats do not grow much through the levels. Saying that, he is a well-balanced MF, but if you MUST have a Ronso MF then chose Zev, he's much better. SP 42 HP 6600 EN 59 AT 56 PA 59 BL 47 SH 24 CA 20 Nuvy - Luca - No. 4 Dock. Amazing EN, PA and AT all make Nuvy a great defender, but she will need Elite Defence and Brawler to make up for her low SP. Also, watch out for her low BL. SP 42 HP 5408 EN 79 AT 62 PA 79 BL 43 SH 16 CA 18 Irga - Luca - No. 4 Dock. She's even better than Nuvy, but again, she'll need Elite Defence and Brawler. A good partner for her is Nav Guado because his high SP compensates hers. I highly recommend you get her as a defender or a midfielder at the higher levels. SP 42 HP 6600 EN 92 AT 67 PA 85 BL 55 SH 17 CA 20 Zamzi - Luca - No. 4 Dock. This guy is a solid goalie throughout, and is recommended if Nimrook isn't available. SP 40 HP 6364 EN 44 AT 13 PA 22 BL 50 SH 9 CA 55 g) Free Agents i) Besaid Island Vilucha - Besaid Village - most southerly house on the right of the village. A very good striker, second only to Larbeight. She has high EN and SH, so deploy a similar tactic to the one described for Isken. Definitely recommended after Lv. 40. SP 60 HP 9999 EN 83 AT 23 PA 43 BL 33 SH 91 CA 15 ii) S.S. Winno Kiyuri - S.S. Winno - Standing next to the stairs leading below deck. She's the best defensive MF due her high AT, and both her EN and PA are high. With 56 SH she has the capacity to score if she's equipped with Sphere Shot. She makes a well-balanced MF and a great replacement for Vuroja. SP 60 HP 9999 EN 69 AT 66 PA 90 BL 51 SH 56 CA 20 iii) Kilika Tatts - Kilika Docks - Sitting on pile of boxes at the south end of the pier. Very well rounded at all levels, and with all the right qualities of a good midfielder. Not the best choice, but his high EN and above average SP may be to your liking. SP 71 HP 9999 EN 82 AT 47 PA 70 BL 53 SH 48 CA 11 Mep - Kilika Temple - Outside the temple in the room on the left. At the very start he is a good MF with high AT and SH, but after Lv. 60 he falls behind (maybe because of his age) None of his stats are particularly impressive, and his BL is far too low to be of any use. Useful prior to Lv. 60, but not afterwards. SP 60 HP 8880 EN 46 AT 45 PA 60 BL 19 SH 56 CA 20 iv) Luca Biggs - Luca Stadium - Guarding the stairs to the stands - on the left. Throughout all the levels he has very high EN, which is a great advantage. However, his SH doesn't match up. If his SH was as good as his EN he would be great, but it isn't. He's not the best, but makes a great replacement for Wedge after Lv. 24. SP 57 HP 9988 EN 82 AT 38 PA 51 BL 21 SH 69 CA 20 Wedge - Luca Stadium - Guarding the stairs to the stands - on the right. If you plan on having a stable team from the very beginning, don't choose this player. Up until Lv. 24 he makes a great striker, but then his AT and BL rise turning him into a defender. He maintains this role until Lv. 80 where his CA rockets and he becomes the second best goalie. In the end the only place for Wedge is in goal, but not if you already have Nimrook. SP 66 HP 9988 EN 68 AT 43 PA 68 BL 31 SH 17 CA 62 Nedus - Luca - No. 1 Dock - the Al Bhed at the far end. He starts of being slower than a drunken snail, and that doesn't wear off until Lv. 60. After that his SP jumps and he becomes the fastest striker. I recommend teaming him up with Datto, because then even Guado defenders cant catch you! SP 99 HP 8920 EN 71 AT 24 PA 33 BL 11 SH 74 CA 14 Zev Ronso - Luca - No. 5 Dock - standing on the corner. He's a Ronso, but he's not slow! He makes a very solid MF due to his high EN, AT and BL, and he is very good at all levels. If you were considering recruiting Gazna Ronso, pick this guy instead as he's much better. SP 57 HP 6600 EN 73 AT 65 PA 54 BL 50 SH 35 CA 13 Shaami - Luca - news reporter standing to the right of the small monument. Early on she has high EN and good SH, but she's a little slow. As she progresses she becomes steadily quicker, and she ends up with above average SP. This, coupled with her high SH makes her a very good striker. In addition, unlike other strikers, she's not too bad at defending. A great striker at any level. SP 66 HP 8920 EN 68 AT 39 PA 34 BL 31 SH 88 CA 14 Zalitz - Luca - sitting on the wall on the path to the theatre. Very similar to Botta because he's very poor when it comes to being on the offensive, so he needs Tackle Slip 2. His AT is not very high, but his high BL makes up for it. Recommended for the lower levels only. SP 59 HP 8920 EN 45 AT 34 PA 60 BL 70 SH 22 CA 20 Jumal - Luca - sitting on the bench to the left of the large crystal-like monument. At the lower levels he makes a great alternative to Nimrook or Durren, but after Lv. 55 it is clear that Nimrook is far better. As with all goalies, they can all hold their own if you have a decent pair of defenders, and Jumal is no exception. SP 60 HP 9999 EN 29 AT 59 PA 83 BL 16 SH 20 CA 41 Shuu - Luca Café - standing on the right in the café in the middle of the group. At the beginning it takes her a while to develop into a defender, but when she does she is great. She has great AT and PA, but her BL lets her down a bit. SP 60 HP 8156 EN 53 AT 53 PA 91 BL 32 SH 10 CA 12 v) Mi'ihen Highroad Ropp - Mi'ihen Highroad Agency - behind the counter on the right. He's the best defender, with the highest AT and great PA and BL. He's outstanding at low and high levels, but not so much so between Lv. 30 and 50. If he's not on your team already, then get him ASAP. SP 60 HP 8895 EN 46 AT 73 PA 96 BL 53 SH 11 CA 20 vi) Djose Temple Kyou - Djose Temple Path - Crusader in blue on the left side. He has two roles; a goalie and a defender. He is better at the latter due to his high BL and PA. His above-average SP may prove to be a big bonus. SP 71 HP 9999 EN 41 AT 44 PA 89 BL 64 SH 20 CA 46 vii) Moonflow Miyu - Moonflow North Warf - sitting on the bench on the way to Guadosalam. She's essentially a goalie, but her high EN and AT may make her appear to be a MF at first. However, if you look closer you will see she has very poor PA and BL so she cannot be a MF. She excels at the lower levels, and is on a par with Nimrook up until Lv. 40. After that she isn't so good. SP 65 HP 7940 EN 73 AT 63 PA 16 BL 7 SH 14 CA 37 viii) Guadosalam Yuma Guado - Guadosalam - In the house that Giera is standing outside of. She's a very good goalie at all levels, and a worthy replacement for Nimrook if you don't already have him. You should use her up until Lv. 60, and then begin to look elsewhere, preferably in the direction of Nimrook or Nizarut. SP 65 HP 8935 EN 19 AT 27 PA 38 BL 16 SH 19 CA 48 ix) Thunder Plains Mifurey - Thunder Plains Agency - behind the counter. Like Nedus, she begins with a very low SP stat of 20, and this doesn't reach 60 until Lv. 90. On the plus side, her other stats more than compensate for this. She has very high EN, PA and SH at the lower levels, as well as coming with Tackle Slip 2 and Venom Pass 3, both of which are great techs. If you don't mind her lack of speed feel free to use her, but I tend to wait for another team to level her up for me. I seriously recommend using her as she ends up with above average SP, amazing EN and PA, and a good balance of AT and BL. SP 69 HP 7631 EN 88 AT 52 PA 89 BL 52 SH 59 CA 14 x) Lake Macalania Linna - Before getting the airship - sitting next to the stairs at the east end of the Macalania Temple Path. After getting the airship - Macalania Temple - Sitting on the steps outside. She's a very versatile player due to her high stats. She performs amazingly in all positions, except goal. Be careful of her low EN though, you need to ensure she is equipped with Tackle Slip 2 if she is to stand any chance of surviving an encounter. She's got good stats at all levels, and is recommended if you have a free position that you wish to fill. SP 59 HP 9999 EN 27 AT 60 PA 99 BL 61 SH 92 CA 19 xi) Calm Lands Naida - Calm Lands - behind the shop counter. A very good defender at any level. She's much quicker than the average player, and makes a great alternative to the Guado defenders. She comes with Wither Tackle 3, which is one of the best tackle techs in the game. I recommend recruiting her as a replacement for one of the Guado defenders, or if they are at low levels. SP 77 HP 9999 EN 45 AT 45 PA 81 BL 61 SH 25 CA 20 Svanda - Calm Lands - standing next to a large stone spike along the north edge of the Calm Lands. She's a great offensive midfielder due to her very high EN and PA, but she's let down by her relatively low AT and BL. She makes a good alternative to Mifurey, and is recommended if Mifurey is still a bit slow. SP 60 HP 8920 EN 85 AT 42 PA 92 BL 38 SH 50 CA 15 Durren - Calm Lands - Gorge Bottom (This is where he is found before you get access to the airship. I've got no idea where to find him afterwards). At the lower levels he is the second best goalie, but after Lv. 40 his CA begins to fall. He ends up as the worst player, and you shouldn't have him on your team at all, except at the beginning. SP 60 HP 8920 EN 28 AT 25 PA 24 BL 33 SH 4 CA 24 xii) Airship Brother - Airship Bridge - pilot. He's known for his high SP, and at the early levels he is a very useful MF. He has high EN, PA, AT and BL at the beginning, but as the game progresses he becomes less appealing. His main attraction is his high SP, but all his other stats are very average so he is more suited to being a defender than a MF. I recommend him for any team’s MF up to Lv. 50, but afterwards I would look towards Kiyuri or Vuroja and move Brother into the back row as a defender. SP 99 HP 9999 EN 59 AT 54 PA 44 BL 45 SH 42 CA 20 Wakka - Airship - Bridge. He only reaches his full potential if there are other Aurochs are on the team. He's very weak defensively so try not pair him up with Tidus. Otherwise, Wakka an above average striker. (Please note, Wakka's Auroch Spirit will not boost his SH over 99) SP 60 HP 8817 EN 78 AT 16 PA 35 BL 11 SH 80 CA 20 Rin - Airship Corridor - standing opposite Kimahri. He's a good MF to begin with, and can also be used as a defender. He makes a good alternative to Nav Guado due to his high BL, and works well with any arrangement because he's not too overpowered. SP 60 HP 9999 EN 66 AT 44 PA 59 BL 72 SH 33 CA 12 PLEASE READ! Whilst playing Blitzball I noticed that after Lv 99 some players (Irga Ronso, Naida, Ropp, Balgerda, to name just a few) went to Lv 0 and their stats went up a little bit more.
