If not, I shall sue you. A lot. And call upon my legions of Ninja style Action Man dolls to hunt you down. Note: This walkthrough enables you to explore the city yourself. There are many routes in each mission so I only put 'go to the dot' and ask you to find your own way there. This makes it more involving for you instead of you reading 'go left, then right' etc. On some missions I have put a bit about how cheats can impove your chances on the mission. If you don't have these cheats, they are posted up at www.ukcheats.com. If you don't want to use these cheats, ignore the cheat sections. The levels which don't have sections probably can be done easily without cheats, although the Lower Wanted Level is priceless for nearly every mission. Also note that when you use the all weapons cheat it stays on when you save, and the tanks stay when you save too. If you only want the weapons for one mission, go to a secluded area and waste all your ammo, or go on a rampage trying to waste all yuor ammo. If you want to get rid of tanks, drive them to the harbours and park them right near the edge, then get another car and ram them off into the water. At some stages you have a choice who to work for. If you want, you can keep switching, or finish one persons jobs and then move onto the next guy. I won't tell you every time you are able to branch off to other bosses, but it should be clear enough by the markers on the map and the storyline as well. Let's begin. [PORTLAND] 01. GIVE ME LIBERTY Watch the cut-scene, then as soon as you gain control get into the car with an arrow above it. You are practically naked at the moment so don't get into any trouble for now. Head to the dot on the map as fast as you can. Stop at the blue marker then watch the cut scene. [PORTLAND - LUIGI] 02. LUIGI'S GIRL Welcome to the world of organised crime. Your first task is a fairly easy one. Either get back in your old car or if that looks a little worse for wear steal another one. Head South then pick up Misty from outside the hospital then head back the way you came to Luigi's. 03. DON'T SPANK MA B'TCH UP This is probably the first fun mission you'll have. Pick up the bat from opposite Luigi's, then get yourself a car. Drive to the dot on the map and run him over preferably, although you might want to get out and beat him with the bat. Drive to the Spray Shop (indicated on map), then drive to Luigi's lockup and stash the car. If you don't mind using cheats: Do the above with all weapons to make killing the man much easier. Either use the AK, the bazooka or the Sniper Rifle to dispose of him easily. 04. DRIVE MISTY FOR ME Get yourself a car and drive to the dot to find Misty. Drive South to a garage, and drop her off. You can now take jobs from Joey, although I suggest you complete Luigi's first. (Good experience) Note: If you get stuck on the next two missions, you can skip them and just go on to Joey's. 05. PUMP-ACTION-PUMP Go to Ammu-Nation and talk to the shop assistant. He says there is a gun round back, so go and pick it up. Get in a car and get to the moving purple dot. You should see a Diable car. Ram it, then run up to the car and pull a driver out. Shoot him, and then shoot the other one quickly. Be careful as they are both armed, though. If you don't mind using cheats: Easy way: Get a tank and just blow up their car. Less easy way: Use all weapons and tnen use a flamethrower, shotgun, grenade or Bazooka on the car. 06. THE FUZZ BALL Get yourself a big family type car BEFORE YOU START THE MISSION. Then, start the mission and drive up to 4 green dots on the map. Once they are all in, drive to the purple dot and drop them off. The mission will be completed in no time. [PORTLAND - JOEY'S JOBS] 07. MIKE LIPS' LAST LUNCH The 5 minutes provided here should be enough, provided once your in Mike's car you don't crash at all. Anyway, start the mission and go to the dot on the map. Take the indicated car, and YOU MUST NOT CRASH. Take the car to the dot, which is 8-Balls' bomb shop. (Behind the car shop). Drive in, get the bomb, then take it back to the retsurant and park carefully, get out and get back a bit, then watch as Mike learns a lesson. 08. FAREWELL 'CHUNKY' LEE CHANG You'll need a gun for this, so if you don't have one get the one from behind Ammu-Nation. Drive to Chinatown and go towards Chunky. Try to get a shot or two in if you can. He'll run off, and the Triads all come at you, but just run through after Chunky. If he gets in a car, try to opull him out, or get your own and ram him, pull him out and fill him with lead. If you don't mind using cheats: Use all weapons, and select a shotgun. As soon as you see Chunky, shoot him. Or, use a Sniper Rifle and he won't even see you. 09. VAN HEIST Get a car, and find the purple dot on the map. Ram it until the meter is full, then when the guards get out of the van quickly climb in. Drive it east to the lock up at Portland Harbor, but watch out for the police. If you don't mind using cheats: Tanks are slower but drain the Van's health much quicker. Also, you could do with using the Lower Wanted Level once or twice. 10. CIPRIANI'S CHAUFFER Once you've got Toni, drive to Chinatown, taking care of the car. Wait for Toni to do his thing. then drive away quickly from the Triads. 11. DEAD SKUNK IN THE TRUNK Head to the dot on the map and pick up the car. The forellis will now be on your tale, so quickly make your way to the car crusher. 12. THE GETAWAY Get yourself a car with a lot of seats. Drive North, and pick up the bank robbers. Go South to the bank. Watch the cut-scene, then when the robbers get back in your car your wanted level will go up to 3. If you can, get to the spray shop. That way you'll be able to drop off the robbers safely. If you don't mind using cheats: The Lower Wanted Level cheat sure could come in handy once you've got the robbers. [PORTLAND - TONI] 13. TAKING OUT THE LAUNDRY Head up to 8-Ball's bomb shop and get some grenades. Get in a car and follow the purple dots, which are the Triad vans. Try to get them them to stop, if so pull out the drivers, shoot them and blow up the van with a grenade. The police don't take kindly to people ramming vans, killing the drivers and blowing them up with grenades, so the spray shop amy be handy in this level. If you don't mind using cheats: A tank makes this level very easy. You won't need the Lower Wanted Level cheat either, as the police can hardly stop a tank. 14. THE PICK-UP Drive to Chinatown, and go down the alleyway behind the launderette. Pick up the briefcase. It's a trap, and triads, come at you. Although it makes sense to get back in the car and run them over, it's probably best to shoot them all. If you can't perfect this, get in your car and drive away from the alleys, that way you have more space. They follow you, but now they will be easier targets. If you don't mind using cheats: You can use all weapons, then get out of the alleys and kill them quicker. Or, the harder way: Don't pick up the briefcase, and use the tank cheat three times. Now get each tank and block off each alleyway. Make sure you do it tight. With the last one, make sure you can jump over it, or get out the side near the alley entrance. Now, collect the briefcase, and only one or two of the Triads will get through. Kill them, ten use all weapons and fire a bazooka blast at each tank. The explosion will kill all the Triads. 15. SALVATORE'S CALLED A MEETING Head South to Joey's and pick him up. You will now be in a limo.Go to Luigi's, then back to Toni's. Head to Salvatore's mansion, watching out for the Triads. Simply ram the roadblock they've put up at Salvatore's gates. 16. TRIADS AND TRIBULATIONS Get another big, family size car and then head to the dots on the map. These are the Triad Warlords. Shoot each one from a distance. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RUN THEM OVER otherwise they blow your car up. For the last one, steal a Triad Fish van from the Chinatown area (they have pictures of fish skeletons on the side. Drive to the fish factory and dispose of the last warlord. If you don't mind using cheats: All weapons would really help you get rid of the warlords. 17. BLOW FISH You can tell from the title that this one is going to involve the Triad Fish Factory. Anyway, drive North to 8-Balls and get in the dustcart. You have 2 minutes and 30 seconds to get to the Triad fish factory. Take extra care of the dustcart as it is rigged with a bomb and will explode if hit too hard. Park between the gas containers and get out of there! [PORTLAND - SALVATORE'S JOBS] This is the big life. You are now working for the Mafia under the biggest crime lord in Portland, Salvatoré. 18. CHAPERONE Once you have the girl drive down to Chico and wait for the cut-scene to end. You can kill Chico for fun if you like, doesn't matter really. Now go over to the party. Drop Maria off and wait outside, then watch the cut-scene. Quickly get back to Salvatoré's. If you don't mind using cheats: Lowering your Wanted Level will make the trip back to Salvatoré's much more pleasant. 19. CUTTING THE GRASS Anyone who's played Driver 2 will be familiar with the concept of this level. Drive down to Luigi's and park outside, then when Curly Bob comes out give chase. Watch the spook-o-meter carefully. If it gets full, stop and wait a few seconds. If it goes down a lot, step on the accelerator. He'll lead you to the harbour. Watch the cut-scene, then get out and kill him. He has a Shotgun, so running him over is very risky. If you don't mind using cheats: All weapons, then use either the sniper rifle, or if your really nasty, a bazooka, to kill him. 20. BOMB DA BASE This mission is famous for the amount of letters sent to game magazines asking for advice on how to complete it. Settle down and prepare for the hardest mission on Portland, and one of the hardest in the whole game. Drive to 8-Balls and you'll hear he wants $100, 000 to pay for all he's done. You should have the money, if you don't do Taxi missions or kill people. (or do Taxi missions and rob your customers once they get out). Then go back to 8-Balls to get the Sniper Rifle. Drive down to the harbour and stop at te marker. Run off to the building opposite the boat and climb the stairs. Once at the top, shoot the two people at the entrance of the boat. Then scan up the walkway, and go left slowly, taking out everyone you see. Be careful, and make sure you kill them. If you don't mind using cheats: All weapons, then a rapid fire gun. You could go with 8-Ball. Although that may not work seeing that there is one of you and a lot of them. 21. LAST REQUESTS Go to Luigi's to get the car, but as you get there you'll get a beeper message. If, like me, you have trouble reading those, it is Maria warning you that you have been set up. Go to the blue marker and get on the boat to Staunton Island [PORTLAND - PAYPHONE JOBS] If you missed these before, just drive back to Portland. Chances are the little phone symbol on the map made you a little curious. These are all pretty easy, and seeing they are not important to the story, I'll leave them and let you do them yourselves. [STAUNTON ISLAND] [STAUNTON ISLAND - ASUKA'S JOBS] 01. SAYANORA SALVATORE Finally, you get to give Salvatoré a taste of his own medicine. Take a boat (or drive) over to Portland. You should still have the Sniper Rifle (if not just go to Ammu-Nation). Go to the club opposite Luigi's and go down the alleyway and up onto the roof. If you can't find it go up the stairs at the back of Luigi's and try and aim a shot at him. When the time is right (3 hours after you went to Asuka's) Salvatoré will appear. You know the rest. Note: If you are on the roof of Luigi's the mafia will come after you and you will die. Don't worry, the mission is already complete. 02. UNDER SURVEILLANCE You need a Sniper Rifle again for this mission. Once you have one go west to Belleville Park and take out the two agents in the middle of the pond. Go to the Casino (south of the park) and get up onto the roof. Look at the opposite building and shoot the 6 agents you see. Now head west again and go up to the surveillance van. Equip a different weapon (uzi preferably) and when the agents get out shoot them. If they don't get out pull one out or shoot the van with a Shotgun. 03. PAPARAZZI PURGE Go down to the dock (right next to Asuka's) and get in the police boat. Chase the boat, and get it so you are basically touching the back end of the other boat. Keep chasing and fire the guns to eventually blow the boat up. 04. PAYDAY FOR RAY You'll need to be quick as there is a strict time limit here. Drive down to the first phone. Get to the second phone, then the third. Get to the final one to hear Ray wants to meet you in the toilets (charming). Take your time getting there if you want. The timer will have stopped by now. 05. TWO-FACED TANNER Wow, Tanner. Never heard of that name in a gangster game before :-| Anyway, drive down to find him outside the Casino. He drives off, so give chase and ram him. The cops don't like this, so your wanted level escalates dramatically. Just concentrate on Tanner. Try and get alongside him and shoot him with your Uzi to finish him off easier. Once he gets out, do the same and chase him on foot. Kill him however you please. If you don't mind using cheats: Lower your wanted level to make this so much easier. [STAUNTON ISLAND - KENJI'S JOBS] 06. KANBU BUST-OUT Try and get killed before you start this mission. You'll be at the Polic Station. Go to the nearby Car Park and steal a Police Car, then drive to Kenji to start the mission. Go to good ol' 8-Balls (on the map) and rig the car with a bomb. Once it's fitted, drive back to the Police Station and go through the gate (which now opens). Park in the blue marker, activate the bomb and leg it. Once the explosion has passed, you'll see a Yazuka standing in the building. Go up to him and he'll follow you, then get into the other Police Car. Get away from the Police Station then swap cars, preferably getting a fast one. Once in your new motor drive to the Spray Shop (next to the bomb shop). Now drive the the Yakuza man to the Dojo to complete the mission. 07. GRAND THEFT AUTO Possibly Grand Theft Auto 3's most original mission name. Anyway, this mission is hard so note that Ray is open for business as well. Anyway, there are 6 minutes to steal all the cars and get them back to your garage. This is hard because after a little scrape you'll have to get the car fixed. The fixing place is right next to the garage, but it does sap time. Do the cars in whatever order you want, and drive carefully. If you don't mind using cheats: If you really wnat to do this mission but can't, Destroy All Cars and the roads will be easier to navigate and harder to crash on. 08. DEAL STEAL Go to Newport and you should soon see a Yardie Car (convertible Cadillac with leaopard-skin seats). Go to Liberty Campus to pick up your contact. Go to the meeting in the car park at the Hospital in Rockford. Sound your horn to activate the deal, then kill all the Colombians, blow up their cars, take the briefcase and head to the Casino. If you don't mind using cheats: All weapons and Bazooka's/Grenades/Shotguns makes destroying both the Colombians and their cars a lot easier. 09. SHIMA Collect the Briefcase, then collect the next one as well. Head to the blue-marker, and see that the man won't pay protection. You now need to find the gang responsible and get your money back. Just so you know, the gang is the Diablos. Go to the dots on the map and kill them all, the take the briefcase. Go back to the Casino and drop the money off. 10. SMACK DOWN You have to kill at least 8 Yardie Dealers. These are the green dots on the map. Run them over or shoot them.. Be quick, as after a while they all vacate the streets, and you can't kill what you can't find. Police don't take kindly to mindless killing (well, English police do) so this will obviously get a few stars on the wanted level. [STAUNTON ISLAND - RAY'S JOBS] 11. SILENCE THE SNEAK Go to the Witness Protection House. You'll need grenades. Go into First Person view, look up at the window and throw a grenade though it. Your target will escape, so kill the two cops and get in a a car. Chase McAffrey (your target) and ram/shoot his car until it is eventually destroyed. If you don't mind using cheats: A Bazooka is easier to hit the window with. 12. ARMS SHORTAGE Stop at the blue marker and collect as much weaponry as you can. (the tank is locked) Kill all the Colombians when they get near. Once they are all dead, and Phil is alive, you have completed the mission If you don't mind using cheats: All weapons, or get your own tank to overwrite the locked tank problem. 13. EVIDENCE DASH Once you find the car, keep on ramming it until you have all 5 pieces of evidence. Then, once you have them all, dispose of the car in whatever sick-minded way you please. 14. GONE FISHING Get in the police boat and drive to the lighthouse. When you get there, kill Ray's partner in the same way you did in Mission 3 Staunton. 15. PLASTER BLASTER When you find the Ambulance, ram it. Ram it and ram it until the man falls out. The police will be around, but try and ignore them. When he falls out run him over continuoulsy to finsih him off. There are too many police so getting out of your car is a deathwish. If you don't mind using cheats: Lowering your wanted level helps, and use all weapons to get a Bazooka to fire at the man when he falls off (making sure your wanted level is still low) 16. MARKED MAN You have 3 minutes so act fast. Before the level make sure you know how to get into the tunnel by the stadium. Drive there with Ray and make sure you go left at the tunnel junction so you don't end up going the wrong way. Keep going fast to get there in time. When you drop him off you get the keys to his lock-up, which contains many goodies... (including a bullet-proof car) [STAUNTON ISLAND - DONALD'S JOBS] 17. LIBERATOR Head to Fort Staunton to steal a Cartel Car (I'd be surprised if in all the time you've been playing you've never stolen one before). Go to the dot and park outside to open the gate. Stand at the gate and kill everyone with either a rapid-fire gun or a Sniper Rifle. The garage in the top-right (from the entrance) contains the old man. Take him to Donald's. If you don't mind using cheats: Although this applies to every level, re-stocking your health is a great help here. 18. WAKA-GASHIRA WIPEOUT Get another Cartel car. Go to the multistorey car-park. Go to the top and STAY IN THE CAR. Drive past and either shoot Kenji or ram the cars near him to squash him. If you get this wrong just get out fo there and come back later. If you do kill him, take your car and destroy it. 19. A DROP IN THE OCEAN Get in a boat and get near the plane. Get to all 6 packages first, and then your wanted level will soar. Get out and into a car, and then speed to Donald's. Don't bother taking on the FBI. You won't last a second. If you don't mind using cheats: Lower that wanted level, baby. 20. GRAND THEFT AERO Not a disturbingly violent chocolate bar, just a clever pun. A-ha-ha <cough>. Go over to Shorside Vale and go to the airport. Don't go into the hangar but hang around outside and pick the Cartel off with your Sniper Rifle. There are some explosive barrels in the back for the more evil players. Get in the plane to find no package. Go to the van outside the hangar and get in. Drive to the construction site near where the Cartel Cars are. Once there, get out of your car and jump onto the Cartel car by the blue fence and then jump onto the hut. Take out all the gangsters with your Sniper Rifle. Then jump over the fence and kill the remaining Cartel with an Uzi (or AK). Get in the lift near the crane, then watch the cut-scene and go back to Donald's. Note: DO NOT go to Asuka yet. 21. ESCORT SERVICE Just follow the van and take care of anyone who attacks by ramming them. 22. DECOY Go to the dot and get in the Security van. Your Wanted Level will fill up. Drive for three minutes, keeping the van alive and avoiding the Tanks. If you don't mind using cheats: If you lower your wanted level the 3 minutes of driving is much easier.. 23. LOVE'S DISAPPEARANCE This isn't a mission, but just go to Donald's and watch the cut-scene. [STAUNTON ISLAND - PAYPHONE] Are you fed up of following my orders like a little schoolgirl? Damn sure you are! You can do these missions on your own. If you want to do them, that is. [STAUNTON ISLAND - ASUKA (AGAIN)] 28. BAIT Go over to Shoreside and get the purple dots to follow you to the yellow dot. Do them one at a time, and you'll know when one is after you becasue there dot will go darker. Lead each one to the mentioned yellow dot and help the Yakuza kill them. If some get back in their cars, you need to ram them and kill them. 29. ESPRESSO-2-GO Drive to the dots and destroy the coffee stands. Easy as coffee flavour pie. 30. S.A.M Quickly get to the boat and make sure to collect the Bazooka at the pier. Head to the marker buoys. Shoot the plane down, and your wanted level will go up. Pick up the 8 packets of Spank. Get in your car and go back to the construction site, avoiding the road blocks. If you don't mind using cheats: Lower that wanted level. 31. RANSOM Getting near the end of the game now folks. You'll need 500, 000 dollars for this mission. I trust you should have it by now. Anyway, go to the dot and go up to the villa. 32. THE EXCHANGE When the cut-scene ends, pick up the Uzi. Shoot every colombian you see. Go to the garage, get the shield and the get in the Cartel Cruiser. Go out of the gate and you'll soon be shown a helicopter. Follow it to the lower section of the dam and blow away all the Colombians (with a Sniper Rifle). Once the chopper takes off shoot/blow it down. Head for the platform to find Maria. Quickly shoot the Colombians to save Maria. CONGRATULATIONS! You've completed the game. But there's more... [SHORESIDE VALE] All of these are payphone missions, and don't add to the story at all, so again I'll let you experience these yourselves.
