Hey again, welcome to your first real challenge in the game Twisted Metal 2, as level is no ordinary level... This level contains the boss from the first Twisted Metal, 'Minion'! If you've selected your game on easy setting, then you wont be able to advance further after this level, as to complete the game you must select either medium or hard setting. So if you havent, time to go back and do it again im afraid. But for those who are on medium setting here comes the walkthrough for Amazonia Firewalk... This level is situated right smack bang in the middle of a giant lava pool, so take note now, that if you fall into the lava, you will be able to drive through it, but, you will slowly be drained of your health until you burn up and die. Nice. This has an advantage to the level though which i will explain later. First off, ammo. There 5 sections to this level, its big as you cant see the enemys who are right at the other end of the level. The first section is the little island with the teleporter and two palm trees. This can be reached in two ways. The first is to drive through the lava, not the best way, which is the way the computer uses though, or by entering the small temple building at the end of the crumpled bridge. It has a secret door at the front, which you can locate if you drive right up to it and turn at an angle, as the graphics have a glitch meaning you can see inside. To open it, simply blast the door down with machine guns! Inside here is the other teleporter which takes you to the island, and from there back again if you wish. Also there is a napalm located in the little temple also. Also behind the back of the temple there are three items which you will find usefull. On the small island, you will also find some usefull ammo. To get more, simply blast the palm trees away, and some will appear in there place. There is also a health pack here as well, which will dissappear quick as the computer uses the island a lot. There is also a power missile above the crumpled bridge if you need it. Tip: If you are on the island and the computer locates you and decides to drive through the lava, freeze him/her quick!! Keep on freezing him/her until smoke comes out of them, then after a bit, the scream of death, a nice burning death of course. This way you dont have to use any of your ammo, just your rechargeable special bar. Other ammo on this level is located on the walkways, which go around the centre of the level. If you follow it round you will pass a small water pool (usefull for putting out napalm fire, and getting the remote bomb!), a small wooden walkway which goes right through the middle of the level, with a health pack on it, and two other temple type buildings. The temple buildings should be your main hide out location, as they have ammo which is hard/impossible for the computer to get. The first temple directly opposite the first temple i described, at the other end, has no insides, just a roof with a ramp to get up there. Up there you will find two homing missiles, very usefull. The computer wont go up there unless you are up there, as the AI instructs the enemies to kill rather then collect ammo. Also behind this temple is more ammo if you need it. The second temple should be your strongpoint for the level, for these reasons. It has two secret chamber in it. One of these has a remote bomb, and the other has a room with three flashing buttons, blow these to recieve a health pack, napalm and turbo. To get into the rooms, just blow the door open like you did before, if you cant find them, look at the front of the temple and if you look closely you will see a gap inbetween the secret door and the walls, giving away there position. Now the reason why i said it was a strong point, is the computer CAN NOT get into these rooms, nor fire into them, apart from shadow and specrte, which is a real bonus. Ok, theres the ammo done for this level, now how to do it!... When you start off here, your first aim should be to collect any ammo within your near reach, and then head straight for the temple with the two secret chambers. Collect the remote bomb from one of them, then hide inside the one with the three buttons. Now wait...If you have Spectre or Shadow on this level, you should make it your duty to terminate these two guys first, as there special attacks can penetrate the walls of the chamber. Simply locate them, and destroy them, dont worry about losing ammo, just get rid of them. If you need health i have described two places for you to get them already, the island and the wooden walkway. Ok, now depending on where you are, there are two statues in the middle of the level, two horses i think, these are destructable, blow one of them away, and you should gain entrance to a tunnel, drive down it. Here you will find the third health pack, richochets, and napalm or turbo. Collect these, leave the health if you dont need it, save it for later. Now depending on which end you come out of, head for the temple which you see ahead of you, either the first one, or the one with the roof, either way just get there. Collect the ammo there, and then head DIRECTLY to the temple with two chambers. Wait inside the one with three buttons. After a while, an enemy will venture past and notice your there, he will wait and try to attack, but wont be able to as the room is closed off apart from the door, which is really small. And for some strange reason, they never attack head on, they attack diagonally, so you will safe unless you venture outside. Now they will drive back and forwards past the entrance, and every time they do this, you should unload a missile or two onto them, or even freeze them then attack. Tip: Always hold your machine guns down, as they never run out, therefore you get free damage to them if you hit them!! Once you have wasted away two or three people and are left with one or two, head for the little island. When you reach it, check you radar for the position they are coming in from, as they will drive to the island, and not teleport unless you do. When they set foot, or should i say wheels, in the lava, simply freeze them like i said before, and keep refreezing them over and over, and they will eventually die. Use this technique to waste away all the enemys who are left, or if your confident enough, use this one technique to kill everyone. Once this is achieved, time for Minion!! Minion is a tough one, his stats are very impressive! His special is the main way that people die, as it is an upgraded version of Warthogs special, the parrot missiles. They are twice as strong, and they have a freeze ball fired with them as well! Once you get hit and frozen, your finished, as he will attack over and over again, leaving you very very weak or dead. The strange thing is though, even though he is supposed to have risen from the lava, he is still damaged by it, this is your advantage!! I dont recomend using the island freeze technique as he will strike first, and is fast, but if you want you can use a shield special, up, up, right, and this will make you invincible for three seconds or so, so when he fires you fire straight back with a freeze, and then you can attack. It is so much easier to use the two secret chambers to hide out, as even if he was the best driver in the world, he cant fit through the door, leaving you safe. Now every time he drives past, freeze him, unload all you weapons onto him, freeze him again, then TURBO out of there as fast as you can, better if you drive behind him, as then he has to turn around and attack. Now using you rear mirror, select+something, its in the booklet, or experiment to find it, you can see when you is behind you and firing, as the weapons come towards you use your shield to protect you, and head for the tunnel under the lava and two statues. Collect the ammo and race out the other end, collect as much as you can around that area, as he will take time to catch up, then head back to the chambers. Repeat the technique over and over, and eventually he will die, and you can even finish him off with a remote bomb if your clever enough! Phew, if you manage to kill him, which isnt hard with a little practice, even possible on your first go, then congratulations!
