Retro Game Walkthroughs for Oni (PlayStation 2)

Oni enemy guide ? Garlic bread TCTF ? tactical trooper. These blokes are well armed whenever you encounter them, they come with the standard plasma rifle, so run at them in a zigzag to avoid the fire, then disarm them and duff ?em! They?re pretty slow if fist fights so any basic combo will work, and you?ll have plenty of time to enter a more complex combo and show off. Don?t worry about their special moves as they are weak

TCTF ? swat trooper. These chaps are tougher than your average TCTF cop, so approach with care. They tend to fight by lunging out at you with a Lion axe so be prepared to move aside and you?ll have them, their reaction time is slow, use this to your advantage, enter a big combo to render serious pain at once. Make sure you retreat if more than three come at you, try to pick on off with a weapon.

Black ops ? tactical trooper. Big lads with loads of health. Fortunately their weak, so all they really do is consume time. A few combos wouldn?t go amiss with these guys, but don?t go for the really complex ones as they?ll knock you in the middle and you?ll need to start again.

Black ops ? SWAT trooper. These need to be handled with caution, they?re one of the toughest enemies in the game when it comes to force. I recommend putting a punching combo in their face then backing off before they can retaliate. Repeat this a few times to take them out effectively. If when you see one of these guys he has a gun, don?t try to disarm him, just knock him down.

Mercenary sniper. Easy to kill?if you can find them. These guys hide in the shadows and fire at you. If you come under fire keep moving until you can tell where the sniper is, them move in and eliminate, they are physically weak and have no special moves.

Comm trooper. Despite using static fist on you a lot these guys are actually pretty weak, a few quick combos and they?ll be on they?re back. If they?re armed, disarm them, they?re not quick enough to stop you

Striker (green). The weakest of the weak. A push over. Slow, weak, low health and pain thresh-hold. Duff ?em in seconds using any means possible. Don?t waste valuable ammunition on these guys, but be sure to search them after as they tend to carry ammo clips.

Striker (blue). A bit more of a challenge than the greens, approach with caution, go for a big combo and finish them quickly. They tend to use moves which involve leaping into the air, so make sure you?ve always got a fist handy to bring them down.

Striker (red). They?re the toughest of all strikers, but that?s not particularly tough when you get down to it. Just keep able to move and when they try to head-butt you, which they will, move aside and you?ll have them in a very vulnerable position.

Ninja (green). I hate these fighters, ninjas. Actually I don?t hate them, I enjoy the fight as its always an interesting one, but they will get a hit in on you, so if your low on health try to use a weapon to pick them off from a distance. Fortunately the attacks of a green ninja are weak, so you?ll have plenty of time to practice on one of these. Ninja (blue). Another type of ninja, weak attacks t does have, but plenty of them, try to keep away and only attack when they?re vulnerable, as they do tend to get quite a few hits in on you at once.

Ninja (red). This blokes the ninja you don?t want to mess with. He?s got it all, the moves, the strength. I recommend a quick weapon death for one of these.

BLACK NINJA. A boss. This guy is annoying as an itch you cant repeat or that story granddads already told five times today. He has the ability to teleport out of the way of combos and bullets. Here?s what you do, go in for jabs and when he teleports, shoot at him and he?ll teleport somewhere close and try to disarm you, be ready for a jab and repeat the process. Pack plenty of hypos as this fight lasts a while.

Fury (green). A tough cookie to crack. As you get close they get defensive so move in with a flying kick to stop them getting the first punch. Make sure you don?t get caught from behind by one of these as they jab quick. Also a few ground moves will take one out, as their lower defence is low.

Fury (blue). Stronger than a green but weaker than a red, just use the same strategy as on a green. However these tend to be armed so disarm before you start.

Fury (red). The strongest fury. She?s got the most combos so be ready for a fight. Also these tend to have a Van de graaf, a stun gun, so try to disarm this from them and use it to your advantage.

Elite (green & blue). Big lads. At least twice the size of you, but use this to your advantage, use crouching moves and they wont be able to block them. Use some of your rising combos to, as these have great effect on them. Look out for their cannon ball move as well, as this leaves them vulnerable for at least three seconds afterwards.

Elite (red). Tougher than the green and blue, the red has great destructive power, so stay out of the way of his combos. Try and move in for the kill after he does a cannon ball manoeuvre. If you?ve got a stun gun, use it, it buys you the time to finish them with a special move.

Tanker (green) tankers are fairly strong and have good moves, so try not to stay still for long. The key to beating one of these is to block their moves and retaliate with a special. They tend to carry machine guns, so be ready to knock that right out of their hands.

Tanker (blue & red) the only difference between these to is their colour. They?re both, strong, slow and use attacks that leave them open for your attacks. So let them make the first move and they?ll be yours.

KONOKO. She is you, she uses the moves you?ve used the most, so change from your common strategies to beat her, also be prepared with plenty of hypos so you can overload and get some strong attacks in on her.

BIG BRAIN. Dodge the lasers and turn off the consoles, its that simple.

BARABAS. Big bloke with a big gun. Keep that weapon out of his hands at all times, it takes a while to charge so you?ve time to disarm him. Hit him lads ad his health is high. Stop him from charging (when he says ?stronger and stronger?) as this allows him to regenerate his health. Weapons are useless against him so stick to fists and have plenty of hypos handy.

MURO (human). Very quick, and strong. Try to go overload and hurt him hard, stay away when he?s in overload though. Defeat him by using every trick you?ve learnt.

MURO (mutated) stay away from him, when he pulls you in with his gravity attack, tap all the buttons to drop free from his grasp, now he is vulnerable for you to attack. Repeat this process to defeat him.

I hope this guide has helped you understand the enemies and find the game easier.
