Submitted By: Foszy
Harry Potter is a great game for the PS2. The aim of it is to complete multiple tasks and challenges. This walkthrough will help you the whole way, please NOTE this contains some spoilers.

The Burrow

You start at a cut scene where the car lands at the burrow (the name of the House) and Mrs Weasly starts talking to the kids (Harry, Ron, Fred & George)to tell them to de-gnome the garden. When the cut scene ends you end up in a garden. Look around for a glass jar lock it on with R1, fully charge you're Flipendo and smash it. Another cut scene will follow you will have to go in the barn. Yet another cut scene will follow and after you will have to look up and lock-on the gnomes. Once you've done that charge your Flipendo and hit them of the balcony.

Boss: The Washing Machine

This is so simple to defeat. Lock-on and keep moving around and when the door's open cast an uncharged flipendo. Keep doing this until it is defeated.

Boss: Gnomes

Cast an uncharged Flipendo at the gnome then pick it up using x. Press x again to swing it around and let go of x when the arrow is on green.

NOTE: If you swing around and hit the targets the scarecrow and the haystack You will get a FWAWC. Also if you beat Fred's score 125 then you will also get a FWAWC.

3 Knockturn Alley
First you appear in a shop called Borgin & Burkes. Search the cupboards and shelves for items then go in the black door and a CS will follow. After it you will have to go and get the book as shown in the CS. The hand will attack you if you start running near it so creep by half tilting the left analogue stick only very slightly. Once you have found it equip Lumos and go through to the back of the cupboard where the CS was. Use Lumos in the dark area to reveal a secret passage. Push it and go through it.

Boss: Imp

Lock-on the Imp and cast an uncharged Flipendo at it. Look out for the Vases.

Climb up the wall by running against it then more Imps will appear. Cast Flipendo at them like before and run up to the two cages to drop them in. Pick up the FWAWC and climb onto to the cage and up the wall. Smash the jar on the bookcase to the right then carry on going to the right and you will find a TB. Press x at it to open it you will get an owl treat. Go to the far left and you will come across a stick in the shape of a number seven. Use the "Call Hedwig" option, read the message and press x. Next use the "Feed Hedwig" option and it will bring a ladder down for you. Climb up the ladder, use Lumos to reveal cracks in the floor and avoid them. When you reach the end of the room go to the left to obtain a FWAWC.
Go back and crawl through the crawling space in the wall. When you have gone through it open the door, go through it then go down the steps. Once you've done that keep going upwards until you reach some boxes. Go up against the wall next to them then keep going left until you've past the boxes. Go forward until you reach a box by itself. Press x on it and pull it by using the left analogue stick to reveal a yellow button. You will come across a lot of these in the game. Push it using x then go back to the steps. Go through the other door (Not the one on the steps) and open the TB to get a FWAWC. Push the yellow button in the room then go left, up and open the door.

4 Diagon Alley
Once you've gone through that door you will appear in Diagon Alley. Go forward and a CS will show how Ginny lost her things. Go inside Flourish & Blotts (The shop you're standing outside of) and buy you're book then search the book shelf for Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans using x. Go outside and smash barrels using a perfect Flipendo. Pick up the Sickle (The silver coin) go down the steps and into the shop. Go left then use Lumos to reveal a secret passage. Press x, open the TB to get the FWAWC.

Lost item 1: Ginnys Quill inside Gambol & Japes

Go down the steps inside the shop and through the door way. The man tells you to cast a perfect Flipendo on the Magical measurer. When you have, crawl through the crawling space it revealed. Smash all the barrels in the room to get Sickles then get Ginny's Quill. Go out into the main part of the shop then buy some Stink Pellets. After that, go out of the shop. Go back up the steps, then go left and strait up. Then go into the shop.

Lost item 2: Ginnys Spellotape inside the Leaky Cauldron

Smash the barrels then go to get the Sickle. You will then fall down a trapdoor. When you're in the room lock away all the Imps and collect the FWAWC they leave behind. Avoid getting hit by the barrels by going left and right then open the door and you will come to a boiler room. A pipe will drop and you will have to shuffle across to the other side. Go to the back of the crate and push it of the ledge. Drop down to the floor, go to the back of the crate again and push it to the direction of the steps. Climb up the crate and climb onto the ledge. Go up the steps and use Lumos to reveal a secret door push this door open to get Ginny's Spellotape.

Lost item 3: Ginny's Brass scales inside the Magical Menagerie

Go into the shop and smash the barrels. A man will tell you to go away. Go to the left and open the door. Creep past him and push the yellow button. Go to the door on the other side of the room and open it. When you're through it get Ginny's scales open the TB and go out of the shop.

Go to Mrs Weasly and she will give you a FWAWC.After the CS go into Flourish & Blotts. A CS will follow and Ron will explain that you missed the train. Buy you're Potion Vial and meet Ron in the Leaky Cauldron courtyard.

5 The Whomping Willow

Go down and avoid the tree stumps. Go to left when you reach the bottom and up the hill. You will come across a yellow plant called a Puffapod. Pick it up and throw it elsewhere then shuffle across the ledge avoiding the tree. Run of forward without of and when you reach the end of the path. Cast a Flipendo at the creepers (little branches) and crawl through the hole. When you've crawled through you will be ambushed by Imps. Do the same as before and you will find an Imp on a tree trunk by itself holding a Puffapod. Cast Flipendo, open the chest and CS will show that a tree trunk has dropped down. Climb onto it then go up the ledge to the right. Go to Hedwigs stand and you will find out how to defeat Gytrashes. After, go down the hill.

Boss: Gytrashes

Charge your Lumos spell then cast it. Move around to the position of the Gytrash or Gytrashes until a silver light comes up. Stay in that same position to take of HP. When you have defeated it cast a flipendo at the creepers.

Get past the Imps avoid the Puffapods fill your potion vial then cast Flipendo at the creepers and crawl through.

Boss: The Whomping Willow

Now you have to verse the thing itself. Keep in the far left side then when it stops come out and lock on the eye shaped thing on its arm. Its arms will go berserk but lock on the eye at the centre of its body (the Trunk) Just keep doing this until it is defeated.

6 Hogwarts: First Night

After the CS run of and follow Ron. When you get to the castle doors open them then go up the marble staircase, turn right then open the door. Go left then follow the staircase up to the last floor. Open the door then find a portrait with a golden arch around it. This is the Griffindor Common room. A CS will happen then walk up to the portrait and say the password by pressing X. Ron will ask you to visit Fred and Georges shop. Find the Reading room in the dormitory and go into it. Get past Percy using one of the mentioned ways then go up to one of the portraits in the north wall (don't which but it will say Portrait of Ocalius Spheer then say the password using X)

Choose to buy something if you want but you don't have to. Either if you do or don't, crawl through the hole again, get past Percy and get back to Ron.

7 Hogwarts: First Day

Go down the steps and in a CS Ron will tell you that you have flying as your first lesson. Go down to the Entrance hall then open the door next to the hourglasses. Once you've opened the door you will appear in the Hogwart grounds. Follow Ron to the flying area and follow the instructions the game gives you. You will be given the chance to end the day by pressing SELECT go to the tasks section then press X.

8 Hogwarts: Second Night

You will appear in the Griffindor common room. Go up to Hermione and during the CS she will tell you that Neville has got stuck behind a tapestry. Go out of the Common the room and you will find that there is a Prefect looking out. Get past him and head to the Library on the 2nd floor. This is quite difficult to get past all these Prefects but cast a spell into some corner of the room to distract them, then go into the Library. Find the book which is right in front of you and pick it up.
Get past the Prefects again the same way you did last time. Go to the Entrance hall and wait by the first pillar to your left until the Prefects disappear then go down the steps and out into the grounds. Go up to the left of the tunnel in front of you the use L2 to look around the corner until the Prefect has left the tunnel. Go through it and go up to the door to the Herbology Greenhouses (If you can't find it then investigate all the doors until it says Herbology Greenhouses at the bottom of the screen)
Go around the corner until you find some things which look like Puffapods. These are Horklumps. Lock one of them on at a time then cast Flipendo at them. Hurry up to pick them up using X then throw them away somewhere. You'll find a crawl space to crawl into. When you are through it fill you're potion Vial then collect the FWAWC and go up the steps and read the book. Go out of the Greenhouse the same way you came in. Then go out of the whole Greenhouse area. Go back through the tunnel and wait until the Prefect has left then go through the door.

NOTE: I sometimes find that the Prefect doesn't leave. If this happens then just hurry up and go through the door.

Go back up to the Griffindor Common. But when you are on the 2nd floor disaster strikes. You will find Nearly Headless Nick has been attacked. After the CS you will end up outside Dumbledores office on the 3rd floor. Just go around the circle until you reach the stairs then go up to the 7th floor through the door, Past the Prefect and into the Common room through the portrait. Equip you're new spell (Diffindo) then go up to the Tapestry and cast Diffindo at the it Neville will give you a FWAWC then go into the room through the Tapestry to get a FWAWC. End the day like before.

9 Hogwarts: Second Day

Go down the steps and Hermione will tell you that you have Defence Against the Dark Arts. Exit the Common room then go down to down to the 3rd floor and go into the room in the centre. You'll have to go down into a dungeon. When you're down there find a yellow button and push it. Once you have pushed it some rocks will start attacking you. Just lock them on then cast a Flipendo at them. When they attack you, you will hear a sound then they will turn red and into spikes. To counter this, just keep casting Flipendo at it.
Climb up a ledge next to a tapestry and a Diffindo at it, then fill your Vial. THIS IS OPTIONAL. Climb up the ledge the yellow button revealed then go through the door. Push the yellow button on the wall to the right and a spiked ball will appear. Follow the path and go up it then lock on the spiked ball and cast a charged Diffindo at it. This will reveal another switch. Push it and continue this pattern on 2 more times caging Imps when needed until you reach the last one. This last one is a little tricky. Target it from quite a long way then charge and cast your Diffindo. This will reveal a TB which will contain a Chocolate Frog and the exit. When you go through the door will find some spinning spiked clubs. Target the ropes in the corners to slow them down.
If the Imps trouble you just throw them down the pit. Run past into the next room. Run past and stun the Imps if needed, then climb onto the raised path. Hit the cannon with Flipendo then run and follow the path pausing when needed to hit the cannons. When you reach the last cannon there will be a TB and a door next to it. Open the TB and get the Chocolate Frog then make your way over to the door. Once you've through the door Diffindo the rope on the spiked ball. It will make a hole for you to jump down. Drop down the hole and open the door. Retrieve the Expelliarmus spell book carefully.

Boss: Gargoyle

Use Expelliarmus on the Fireballs it throws at you. It's OK to fail this a few times because using Expelliarmus requires good timing. When you're getting to the end of the boss it will send the Expelliarmus you send at it back to you. When the Gargoyle is defeated go out of the room and walk through the now opened steel doors, to go back to the classroom.

Duel: Draco Malfoy

Malfoy is very easy to defeat. He's actually easier than the Gargoyle. If you're quick at the beginning charge your Flipendo only for a bit then cast. He will bounce it back with Expelliarmus. When he dose, hit back with Expelliarmus and when it's in mid-air keep casting uncharged Flipendo then he'll fall down. He also might cast Flipendo at you the same time you cast Flipendo at him. Just keep using Expelliarmus. Use the same technique as above.
If you don't manage to get the first move, he will cast a Flipendo at you. Like before just hit it back with Expelliarmus and cast uncharged Flipendo just before it hits him.
A CS will show Malfoy casting a spell to make a snake. Harry will tell it to leave them alone in Parselmouth. The rest of the CS will explain that and also explain that you have Quiditch practice.

Quiditch is kind of like basketball. All you have to do is catch the snitch. Meet Ron outside the Entrance hall, then follow him to the Qudditch stadium. Like in the flying lesson, fly through the rings to increase your brooms magical charge then you will be able to boost. You know when you can boost when there is a trail of sparks coming form your broom. Boost and try to keep going through the rings.
Keep doing this until wood says "You're close enough to the snitch now" then boost and keep pressing X to grab it. Then you will be in a practice match with the Hufflepuff seeker. Just do what you did before and you'll win it. Now you get the Nimbus 2000 racing broom and your allowed fly all around the Hogwarts Grounds. Don't fly at night though, because Prefects will automatically catch you.

10 Hogwarts: Third Night

Hermione will explain that she needs a copy of Hogwarts: A History. Go down to the second floor and into the library reading room. As soon as you've gone in, cast a Flipendo in some wall of the room. Step in to the wall next to you and if 3 Prefects are all in 1 area then run down the path turn right and open the door with the golden arch to get into the Library Annexe. These Prefects are very difficult to pass so here's the way to do it. Cast a Flipendo at the wall to the right as soon as you go in. Step in to the bookcase at least 2 Prefects investigate the area.
Step away from the bookcase and run up the path. Cast another Flipendo at the wall to the left and wait for another 2 Prefects to investigate. Keep following the path around until you come to a wall with some portraits on it. On one of them you can say a password to reveal a crawl hole. Find it quickly though because the Prefects may catch you. When you're in the next room search the bookcases for beans then find a ladder to climb up. Climb up it then find a place to shuffle across to the next platform. Climb up the ladder again and shuffle across.
Keep repeating this watching out for the flying books. You'll eventually find a door. Open it then find Hedwigs stand somewhere among the bookcases. On the other side of the room there is an owl treat in a TB. Collect it then go back to Hedwigs stand and feed him it. Again on the other side of the room he will drop down a ladder. Go to the ladder and climb up it. Jump across to a white platform and jump to the other bookcases until you reach a velvet rope. Cut it using Diffindo and jump onto it. Keep on running and then jump from bookcase to bookcase until you find
Hogwarts: A History. Pick it up and another door will open. Jump of the bookcase then find the door and go through it.

Boss: Bookcase

Hit it with uncharged Flipendo 3 times, then hide. Just hitting it with Flipendo until it falls over. So simple.

When you've defeated the bookcase, Use Lumos to find a different part of the floor. You'll find a small Cube. Press X to grab it and pull it out in line with the bookcase. Let go of it, go to the back of it then pull the cube backwards until you reach some bookcases. Go to the other side and pull it in line with the smallest bookcase. Climb onto the cube then climb onto the bookcase. Flipendo the book then jump across. Keep doing this watching out for the ghosts until you reach a spellbook.
This spell book contains Skurge. Jump of the ledge and go back to the room where Hedwigs stand was. Then, go to the place where you found Hedwigs owl treat. Cast Skurge on the door with green slime on it then open it up. You'll end up in a room with several doors. 4 are covered with slime and 1 is sealed with golden bars. Cast Skurge one at a time on the green stuff and go in to press the button. In one of the places there are tapestry's all over. Just equip Diffindo and blast your way through. After you've pressed 2 buttons you will verse Crabbe.

Duel: Crabbe

Crabbe is a lot harder than Draco in many ways. Use the same things you did with Draco although it's easier using Skurge just before you hit him. Also throw in an occasionally charged Flipendo.

Press the other 2 buttons and...

Duel: Goyle

Just use charged Flipendo at him and try to get him to bounce back more than one Flipendo. He's a lot more vulnerable to Flipendo than Crabbe was.

Once you've defeated them, go to the door with metal bars and open it. You'll find there's slime all over and a cube on the ground somewhere. Push it to one of the two gaps in the railing. Use Skurge on the lever and that will open part of another barred door. Use Skurge on the slime blocking the path then find the other lever. Use Skurge on it to open the barred door. Open it and use Lumos to reveal a secret passage. Turn right then go through the door. Backtrack to Gryffindor and show the book to Hermione.

11 Hogwarts: Third Day

Go down to the common room and Ron will tell you that you have Transfiguration on the first floor. Go down to there and find the classroom. Prof. McGonnagal will show you the Avifors challenge. Once you're in the dungeon there will be slime blocking some of the doorways.
Open them using Skurge then find a lever and clear the slime of it using Skurge. Then, go do the same on the other place blocked by slime. After you've cast Skurge on both the levers, go to the place under the Gargoyle. Go through it use Skurge on the slimeb then go and find a door. Use Skurge on some more slime, go into the room then use Lumos to reveal a secret passage. Push it, go out of the room and climb up the ledges. Jump across to the place without any railing then keep on jumping and shuffling across when necessary. When you open the door you can collect the Avifors spell book. Equip Avifors then cast it at the rock.
It will turn into a bird and turn back into a rock again when it reaches a button. Go up the ledge it has sent down then Transfigure the rock on it. Climb up the other ledge and change that rock on it to find a crawling space. Crawl through it, follow the path around and eventually you will be behind the Gargoyle. Go around Transfiguring all the rocks you see into birds. Do this until the Gargoyle comes to life.

Boss: Gargoyle

Follow the instructions from Defence Against the Dark Arts.

Transfigure the Gargoyle's stone into a stone then follow the path around and go through the door to complete the challenge. After Transfiguration go to the Quidditch Stadium for your first Quiditch match. Just do the same as you did in practice.

12 Hogwarts: Forth Night

Ron will tell you that Hermione wants to see you. Meet her in the girls bathroom and a CS will follow. You'll need to go to the dungeons on the entrance hall. Get down there avoiding the Prefects and find Malfoy. After the CS get out the Dungeons.

NOTE: When you're transfigured into Goyle, get caught by the Prefects 4 times. The house points will not count but when you're in the dungeons with lots of Prefects you won't lose ANY house points.

Do the trick above then get out of the Dungeons and meet Hermione and Ron in the girls bathroom on the 2nd floor. After the CS you can end the day.

13 Hogwarts: Forth Day

Go down to the common room and Ron will inform you that your first class is charms on the 2nd floor with Prof. Flitwick. Go down to the Charms on the 2nd floor, walk in and after the CS you will wind up in a dungeon. Jump of the ledge and you will verse a Gargoyle.

Boss: Gargoyle

Do the same things as you did with the other Gargoyles.

Go through the path the Gargoyle was blocking and there is a place with 4 places. Drop down to the left and defeat the Gargoyle. Transfigure the blue stone and 2 doors will open. Look behind you and go through the now opened door. Climb up the ledges and drop down to verse another Gargoyle. Transfigure the blue stone and walk out through the gate.
Climb the other ledges and go through the gate which will lead to the Incendio spell book. Collect it and a cannon will activate. Cast Flipendo at it and run around the room casting a perfect Incendio on all the braziers. All of the braziers will need to be lit for a gate to open. Go through the gate and you will be at the beginning. Go down the steps and light the braziers. Go into the passages they made and light the demon mask. Go back out and light the green statues with Incendio then cast Flipendo at them. Go back up the steps and jump across the platforms quickly then push the button. Go across to the other side and light then other demon mask then go back to the other room and light that mask.
Do same as before with the other statues then push the yellow button. Go to the exit and class is dimissed. You will now need to go to your Quidditch match against Ravenclaw. After that you can end the day.

14 Hogwarts: Fifth Night

Sneak outside to Hagrids hut in the grounds and a CS will come up. After it follow the Spiders through the Forbidden Forest until you reach a web on the floor. Use Incendio on it and there will be a CS showing Aragog. Go around burning all of his webs using Icendio. When you burn the last one...

Boss: Aragog

Always stick close to the walls. When he rears up lock him on and cast Incendio at him. Keep doing this until he is disposed of.

15 Hogwarts: Fifth Day

Report to the Qudditch stadium for your last match after the match you can end the day.

16 Hogwarts: Sixth Night

Go down to the girls bath and after a very long CS you will verse the final boss.

Boss: Basilisk

First pick up the sword. The snake will go around big holes and eventually stop and spit venom. Back away from it and lock-on the mark underneath its jaw and perfect cast the swords spell. It will lose HP and your sword will drop. The snake will thrash around and rocks will fall from the ceiling. Look out for the shadows on the ground to avoid getting hit by them. Pick the sword up from one of the four platforms. After, the snake will return to its usual pattern.

After the CS you may do anything you please, but going into the great hall will finish the game. Congratulations!

This series of quests doesn't give you anything for each piece you complete. However, when you finally get through all the quests, you do get quite a reward!!

Rememberall
A kid by Hagrid's has lost his rememberall. You find it near the tree to the far left (when facing the school). Bring the rememberall back to Hagrid's hut. He says someone by the flying courtyard needs help too.

Potion Jar
A kid near the flying courtyard says he's lost his potion jar. You find the potion vials in bushes between Hagrid's house and the greenhouse. The item is tiny and green and in green bushes along greenhouse wall so they're hard to see. He says a race by quidditch entry is next.

Quidditch Foot Race
This one is easy. Talk to the kid by the Quidditch field. Just run down around the trees counterclockwise to win. Now someone needs help by the cloisters.

Daily Prophet
The cloisters are the square grass area surrounded by buildings, with the covered arched path around it. The kid there lost his copy of the Daily Prophet. It's on the right side of Hagrid's hut right by the base of the wall, past the axe. Now he says Neville is by the flying lesson area.

Lost Crockery
Find Neville by the flying lesson area. He's against the long side wall. Lost crockery. Go to roof ara over main entrance between the two towers - 7 pieces of crockery. Head back with the crockery - someone near main entrance needs help.

Mandrake Roots
The kid needs 3 mandrake roots. Go between greenhouse and Hagrid's house in the back area. There are more than 3 there. Extras don't seem to make any difference so just grab 3. You're done!!

The Reward
You get the key to the confiscated items storage. Go to the flying practice area, then go through the arch with 3 star plants. You can unlock the door with your key. Lots of chests!!

58 - Glover Hipworth
59 - Gregory the Smarmy
60 - laverne de montmorency
67 - Justus pilliwickle
68 - kirley duke
77 - norvel twonk
giant bean bag - holds 200 beans (and it's full!)

Note that if you fly up to the top of this building, there's a ledge with a broken window. In the nook is card 57 - Gifford Ollerton
