1. Welcome to DiscoDexy’s Makin Magic guide.

>This guide was made for UKwalkthroughs.com by DiscoDexy; you may use this guide to help yourself and others. Do not replicate in any shape or form<

I can’t guide you through the whole game; because The Sims is a game you cannot complete. However I can give you a vast amount of help and a large array of spells and potions to help keep your enemy’s quaking in their boots. Without further a due, let’s get on with it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. The Makin Magic Spell Book.

There are two types of magic. Spells and Charms: spells you can carry around, and cast on anybody you choose. Charms on the other hand are big gems that are similar to magic lamps. Point your want at a charm, and the power of the charm is unleashed there and then. The 1st section covers Spells, and the 2nd section covers charms…

Spells:

Toadification:

This is the 1st spell you will learn, and as the name suggests it allows you to turn people into frogs. All you need for this spell is Butter, Toadstools and Toad Sweat. Be careful who you cast this on, because if you cast it on a powerful magician, he might just give you a taste of your own medicine…

Relationship Boost:

This is a bobby dazzler of a spell when it comes to making friends. Just cast this spell upon a mortal Sim, and watch those relationship points soar! Don’t worry about casting this spell upon Sims of the same Sex; it only makes you friends, not lovers. For this spell all you need is Honey, Honey, and Pixie Dust. But don’t cast this spell on Sims that are in a foul mood, because you’ll only make matters worse.

Enchant:

You must cast this spell on a gnome, and that gnome will magically come to life for a short time. The gnome will water your plants, and do chores around the house. But occasionally, the gnome will wreak havoc, and cause chaos around the home. If you see your gnome doing the devils work, command him to stop at once. To make this spell you simply need: Butter, Toadstools and Pixie Dust. Use at your own risk though!

Get Happy:

This spell will make your Sim happy, perfect for using before you go to work. Just add Honey, Grapes and Pixie dust to the spell maker for a perfect result.

Smiley Face:

Honey, Garlic and Toad sweat is what you need for this spell and this spell is the best in the game! Just cast it on a Sim to make a friend instantly. This doesn’t mean that the Sim will be your friend forever though. You must put the time in, and talk to the Sim on a regular basis.

Banish:

This is a handy little spell to rid of the idiots on your Lot. Just cast the spell, and watch a big black hole appear below the Sim, then laugh as he falls to his doom. Magic Sims may well fire that spell back at you at your not careful though. Its perfect for getting rid of the party poopers, or the people who are moving in on your girl. Use the following ingredients: Butter, Snake venom, and Garlic.

Love struck:

A spell that will make anybody fall for you. Just wave your wand, and watch that Sim fall into your arms. But beware; this spell can get you into some sticky situations if that Sim is already in love…
Honey, Dragon tears, and Pixie dust are all you need for this spell.

Hypnotize:

A funny spell, which will put any Sim into a Daze. Once that Sim is in the daze, take advantage of there hazy state. The effects can be quite pleasing. Butter, Toad Sweat and Clown confetti is what you need for a funny experience.

The Big Question:

As you can imagine, this spell pops the big question. Cast this spell on a loved Sim, and that the spell will work its magic to increase your chances of the Sim saying Yes! Not the best spell, but it comes in handy when the Sim is playing “hard to get” Just insert: Honey, clown confetti and Wizards eyelashes!

A Friend Indeed:

*This requires the seems unleashed*
This Spell will turn any Family pet into a Human. The only downside is you’ll end up with a Ugly Sim, called Scooby, that can’t be changed back. At least it will be able to do the dishes!

That’s about if for the adult spells, not lets move on to the adult charms.

Charms:

Beauty or Beast:

Chuck 3 lots of beeswax into the charm maker, to make this ridicules weird charm. This charm will transform you into a Beast. If somebody sees you the Beast form, they will also change into a beast. Before you know it you’ll have a neighbor hood full of beasts, the effects don’t last forever, but have your game before you try this charm.

Horn of plenty:

If you’ve got guests coming round, activate this charm. It will magically make 4 lots of delicious dishes of elaborate food. You guests will be very please, and you won’t have to do any cooking. Best of both worlds. If this Charm takes your fancy; Throw a Golden thread, and two lots of Magic Beans into the charm machine.

Dish Wish:

When all the washing is piling up, and you can’t be bothered to clean them up, or hire a maid, use a dish wish. This charm will wish away all your dishes. Perfect for after party use. Two lots of Golden Thread and a bottle of Llama Spit will get you the Dish wish.

Rain of Riches:

Rain of Riches will make Riches rain. Literally. You’ll end up with $50,000 do decorate your house, and spend how ever you choose. Just get these ingredients: Beeswax, Rubber chicken and some Diamond Dust.

Shed your Skin:

Two lots of Beeswax and Sands of Time will turn your Sim into a ghost. (For what reason is beyond me) You should only cast this charm at night though, if you don’t you might bet a nasty surprise.

Polar attraction:

Wave your wand at this charm and everyone in your lot will think your charming. They will all come to your house and want to be your mate; it’s the next best thing to fame. Beeswax, Dragon scales and Llama Spit will get you this charm.

Clone drone:

A very useful Charm… You can clone yourself, and then send it to work. You’ll get paid when your clone returns home. Beware though, because your clone will burst into flames when it returns. All you need is Beeswax, Sands of time, and a Pegasus Feather.

Perfect Garden:

As the name suggests it will make your garden perfect. Providing you have a garden that is. The flowers will sprout and all your flowers, and crops will look, and taste lovely. But I will say one thing; if this charm goes wrong, you’ll have a few nasty gnomes to deal with. Use Golden thread, magic Beans, and a Four-leaf clover at your own risk!

Magic mood:

Beeswax, Magic beans and Glacial Glass will make a charm that makes everyone feel great!
Just activate with charm when you’ve got a lot of unhappy party people, and everyone on your lot will feel great, and dance for another 5 hours.

Of house and Home:

With this charm, you will be able to summon a wisp do your bidding. She will clean the dishes, and take out your trash. Perfect for a Lazy Sim. Add Golden Thread, Glacial Glass, and a Pegasus Feather to the charm maker. It doesn’t always go right though, you might meet her evil twin sister!

Price of Fame:

*requires Sims Superstar*
This charm, upon activation will make your Sim instantly famous, like Peter Andre on I’m a celebrity, get me out of here! Beeswax, Diamond Dust, and Black Roses is what you need for instant fame. You might find yourself with too many obsessed fans though.

That just about covers this section of the guide. Moving on…..

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. The Makin Magic Childs Spell Book

Children can only cast certain spells, some of there spells are similar to adult spells, and some are totally unique. Children cannot make charms, so you’ll have to make do with there large book of spells. Make your child Sim in to a budding Wizard by following these simple spells…

Beauty or Beast JR:

Three lots of toadstools and you’ve got a similar spell to the adult charm. Pointless, yet amusing.

Get happy JR:

This will make your Child happy, just what you need before you the Sim goes to school. The affects are the same as the adult version. All you need is: Toadstools, Dragon Scales and Faerie Dust is just what you need.

Enchant:

This is the same as the adult’s version; it will make the gnomes come alive. As with before, be aware. Two lots of Faerie Dust, and some Dragon tears.

No more Puddles:

Two Lots of toadstools, and Dragon tears, will make a mini shower appear above your Sims head. Good it the showers in use!

Make Cakes:

This spell will make cakes, or frogs – Depending. Use with care the ingredients are as follows: Two toadstools, and some Faerie Dust.

Smiley Face JR:

Just like the adult version, make another Sim your friend. Two Dragon tears and One bag of Faerie Dust.

Invisible friend:

Kids like invisible friends, and with this spell you can make a real invisible friend, that only your child Sim can see. If you’re unlucky you’ll get an invisible enemy…. One Toadstool and Two bags of Faerie Dust if you desire an invisible mate.

Clone drone JR:

Just like the adult version, make a clone of yourself, and send him to school. Not bad at all. You just need Toadstools, Dragon tears, and Dragon scales.

Age of instant:

Yes you guessed it, you can make your Child grow up, which is the best kids spell by far! But you won’t always end up with a pretty older version, you might get a right ugly mug, and you’ll be stuck with that forever. You can always marry “it” off though….

Well, that’s the end of the spell books, yummy, do you smell that? It’s the cookbook recipes, next chapter.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. The Makin Magic Cook Book.

This chapter will cover the large amount of recipes you can use to make tasty treats for your Sims, and there friends. There are two ways of making things;
The Baker and the Press.
The Baker is where you make cakes and pies.

5. A few cheats / End of the guide

Here you will discover a few Makin Magic cheats. Only to be used if your really desperate, or bored of the Game. Because cheating makes the game fun again, for a short while.

If you press CTRL + SHIFT and C whilst playing, a little box will appear in the top left hand side of the screen. Type in the following useful cheats then press enter, repeat as many times as you desire.

“Rosebud” – This will give you $1000
“Move_objects on” – Once activated you can go into build mode, and move or delete any object. Including the trash, your bills, Spills, plates, bugs, pets and pretty much anything else! You can also delete your own Sims, but they will come back, when you un-pause the game. Beware though- Don’t delete the trash can, or the mail box, because that will cause a lot of problems.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, Ladies and Gents this guide has come to an end. You should have learnt a lot of spells, charms and recipes, to keep you busy, and entertained for hours to come. You should also have learnt some handy cheats for later use. I hope this guide was easy to read, and crystal clear to understand. Most of all I hope this guide was useful.
