Retro Game Walkthroughs for SOCOM 2 : Jungle Storm (PlayStation 2)

This walkthrough shows the way that I went about completing each mission. I played the imported US version of the game as it was out before the UK version but I expect that all the missions will be the same for both versions. Its my walkthrough so no copying.
There are a few things to note before you start.
1. It is still possible to complete a mission should a team member be killed, but if all the other three are killed you will automatically fail.
NOTE If you die then you automatically fail the mission. So avoid getting shot.
2. The team are there for a reason so use them!! At times they can clear a room of enemy soldiers or escort hostages allowing you to concentrate more on your objectives.
3. When pressing select you are shown the path to follow for the best way to complete your mission. Use it!
4. Stealth is a big part of the game for most levels. Remaining hidden usually means you will remain alive. Learn the best ways to hide from the enemy and the best times to attack.
5. If your new to the game make full use of the help pop ups and follow the map and instructions given.

LEVEL WALKTHROUGHS
Mission 1
To begin with stick to the cover on the left. Ahead you will see two guards patrolling the road. Order your team to stay down and crawl forward closer to where the two men are stopped. You should be able to avoid detection and overhear their conversation. Take them out or order Bravo to fire at will for them to take them out silently and quickly.
Keep in the bushes and move forward, another enemy is on the right of the road on the path. Take him out and move to where he came from. You can now proceed close to the meeting point. If you have remained undetected you should be able to take out the enemy that are close to the church (the meeting point) now head in and converse with the informant.
After the conversation he runs, just make sure he isn't killed by any enemies you missed. Then look at your map and you will see the locations he recommends to hide in. Head down the side of the church and take out the enemy in the bushes. There is a sniper rifle close by so take it and shoot the enemy that are at the start of the bridge. Head under the bridge and along the water, remove the enemy from the guard turret with the sniper rifle and then proceed up through the tunnel.
There are a few more enemy soldiers around so be careful, having your team set to fire at will can help. When you exit the tunnel head to the right, use your sniper rifle to remove the enemy from on top of the high building. Head on the left side of the road and up onto the roof of the building you just shot the sniper on. Use this building to pick of other enemies from a distance.
Head to the first building to where you are to place satchels. Beware there are a few guys in there, one up on the top level who can be quite hard to kill, try shooting him through a window or throwing a grenade up quickly to kill him. Place the satchel and move towards the next building and order Bravo to deploy a satchel.
Head into the large building, preferably via the side door. Take the shot gun that is leaning against the wall and head up the stairs. Now you can either rush the room or throw in a flash bang, either way you want to kill the armed guard but let the foreman surrender. This completes a bonus objective. Now order Bravo to escort and make your way to the extraction point.
Mission 2
Stick to the bushes and move forward towards the end of the train. Stay in the bushes and listen to the two guards having their conversation. Directly behind them is the guard tower, when the conversation is over order bravo to fire at will or shoot them yourself. Then take out the guard in the guard tower. Move forward and take out the guards in the train yard and then proceed through the tunnel. When you exit the tunnel you are in heavy grass so remain hidden and take out the two snipers on the roof ahead. Then head left and go all the way around the building till you come across stairs to enter. Go up the stairs and enter the building - taking out the enemies that you will encounter.
Take the intel (digital camera) from the table then head downstairs to collect the other intel, the two warehouses are joined by a bridge, so go up along this and take out the enemies up there and also the ones down on the road below. When you cross the bridge there are two rooms on the right hand side, both have enemies in them so throwing a few grenades or flash grenades and taking them out quickly is required.
Gather the next intel then head to extraction.
Plant the C4 on the gate then sit back and watch the cutscene.
Mission 3
From the start you should be able to zoon in your view and see two guards at the top of the hill, another one walking down the path towards you. Stick to the cover on the left and proceed forward, take out the guard that was walking down the path quietly, then stick to the cover and take out the others in front of the gate. On the left of the gate there is a broken part of the wall which you can climb onto and take out any guards you spot on the right.
You want to head left of the main door, you can either go up the hill and take out the guards up there or just skip that and head into the building. Best way in is just after you climb over the wall and hear left there is an underground tunnel into the building, not very well armed, only one enemy in the wine cellar. Move up through the house, you will encounter quite a few enemy soldiers in the main hall but they should be quick work for you and your team.
Move up the stairs taking out any enemy soldiers you encounter, when you approach the next stairs it will enter a cut scene. After that you want to go up the stairs and out the door, two guards may open it before you reach it so be ready to shoot. The guy you are after has gone to the left onto the next part of the roof, kill him quickly. Then head back inside and along the hall. Through the next door is the next guy you are after, order bravo to bang and clear and they will take him out for you.
Then all thats left is to get back outside to the extraction point which is just outside the main gate. Watch out for some remaining enemy soldiers.
Mission 4
You start off on a roof top, you can enter the building through the doors behind you or go down the ladder on your left. I go through the building just for the added cover it offers. When you reach the door turn left, around the corner will be an enemy soldier so take him out quickly and quietly. Head towards him and you will see a path to your left (where going down the ladder would take you). Head that way and round to the right, there may be an extra enemy soldier to your right and there will be one on your left up the stairs, head towards these stairs and round to the left. Kill the soldiers that are at the stall and then move to the other side of the road and up the path. There is another enemy at the top of this path beside the truck. Wait for him to come towards you before moving on. Then stick to the left pavement and walk up the road towards the meeting point. One more enemy awaits just around the corner at the top of the street near the meeting point. Once he is dead head across the street, open the game and go up the stairs.
After the cutscene go down the stairs and across the street, an enemy soldier awaits at the top of the stairs so kill them quickly before they get the chance to shout and alert the others. The room is on your right and there are a few ways to get in. Either order Bravo to bang and clear or just storm the room and kill the two soldiers and keep ragbag alive.
Once you have done that ragbag runs, follow him but don't stick too close to him, he runs to the left. When he reaches the corner of the street he heads down it, at the bottom enemy soliders appear high in the building and will fire towards you. Take them out before going down to meet with ragbag (he entered the building on the right hand side, filled with plants).
After meeting him leave and head to the right, the big door at the bottom is now open so go that way. An enemy should be on there way towards you so kill them. A few more are at the end of the tunnel. Then head to the left down the alley. Quite a few enemy soldiers in this part, most straight a head but also a few high on the right so be careful.
Once you have killed them you want to climb into the building on the right where the enemy where shooting at you from. Then go to the other side of the building and climb down into the garden. Go out through the opening in the wall and head to the right. Again more enemies to kill on this street, a few high up on both sides of the street. Move up the street and take out the guard on the balcony of the building when you turn onto the next path. There is another guard on the right just when you climb the stairs. Go into the building and move upstairs and a cutscene will play.
After this head out the door and turn to your right, you'll see some soldiers run by. Shoot them if you can before going through into the next building.
Its a small shanty town type place so just go through the buildings that allow you to pass through. Avoid the main street as there is a heavy machine gun protecting it.
As you move through the buildings you'll come across a guard protecting their base, should be able to take him out quickly before they can shoot at you. Enter into the base and move up the stairs, throw a frag into the first room.
There is a corridor with four doors, one has the leader which you want to take hostage so open the doors and throw a flash grenage into each room, take the leader (order bravo to escort) and kill the others. Then move out of the base and follow the street up to the extraction zone. Kill any enemy soldiers who get in your way.
Mission 6
This mission was my personal favourite one.
Your objectives are:
Intercept Radio Frequency
Locate Lab
Demolish Drug Lab
Stop RAFB From Escaping
Demo Plane
Extract Via Canyon
Proceed slowly and you'll notice a little cabin, a few enemy soldiers are in the area so order your team to fire at will and take them out before they get the chance to radio for support. Head into the cabin and find the radio to use it to get the frequency.
If you are too slow a helicopter may come your way, get down and order your team to get down.
Move across the bridge and head trhough the jungle area, take out the enemy soldiers you encounter, you will see another cabin across from you and you want to head that way, the enterance to the drug lab is located up a little hill to the right of this cabin (You are looking for an opening with a ladder going down)
Once inside switch the switch on your left and put on your nightvision, clear the area and kill the workers. Once thats done then place a satchel and leave through the other door. Now head forward (a little to the left) and there is another cabin, shoot the guy inside and head down the path. You should be able to see the helicopter from the ledge.
Continue down the path on stick to the right hand side of the hanger, go past it and round the back and kill the enemy inside. Place a satchel by the plane (order bravo to do it) then get out of there, watch the undergrowth on both sides of the runway as more soldiers approach from there. Then once the plane is destroyed head down the valley, soldiers are on the ground and also high up at points so be careful. Once you get to the exstraction zone put up some smoke and keep cover and kill the enemy that still follow you until the chopper comes to get you out.

SOCOM II – Seeding Chaos
In order to unlock any specials, you need to complete the levels on hard mode, if you are doing this and having trouble then I hope this helps.

As soon as the chopper drops you off, you need to jump in the bushes and stay hidden, make sure your team are holding their fire, and proceed alongside the road, remaining undetected. Eventually you’ll see two men, move toward them very slowly and overhear their conversation, then kill them (if you command team to open fire, this will boost your teamwork rating). Now move up the hill to the right of the roadside, and take out the single man on patrol quickly and quietly. Go south and through the pillars, ahead you will observe 2 men talking under a tree, overhear their conversation, and then once again, take them down. Now move ahead a little toward the old church ruins and meet with Mallard, he will give you some information, and then he will run away. Don’t kill him, let him run and you will complete your first objective.
From the church head south toward the bridge, when you come to the ruins (a little before the bridge) wait patiently for the patrol, then assassinate them. Now move into the river under the bridge struts, tell brave to hold position here. Move silently up the riverbank, heading toward the gun turret and brick wall on your left. When you reach the wall, lean around and quickly shoot the guard, then move into the turret and take out his friend. Retrieve the sniper rifle that is next to the turret, and move up to the grassy mound on your right (west). Lie on this mound and take out the three guards, make sure you kill the sniper first, as he may spot you if you kill the others before him. Now call bravo to follow, and move slowly up the road, staying on the left of it, your target is the church on the horizon. Once you reach this, you have successfully infiltrated the village.
Now, call bravo to hold position and team to hold fire. Move up the stairs on the side of the church, remaining silent, and kill the man up top, it is vital that you kill him before he can raise the alarm by ringing the bell tower. Now that you have killed him, call bravo up to the roof. From here, use your sniper rifle too scope out the three patrols (DO NOT KILL THEM). Once you have located the three patrols and you revive the objective complete, you can kill all three patrols.
Now, move off the roof of the church and head toward the large house opposite the gas stations. Go in through the back door, and move very quietly up the stairs. Now command bravo to deploy a flash bang, before running in the only available door, now take out the two men, in this chaos the terrorist leader will surrender, restrain him and command him to follow.
You now need to deploy 2 satchels, one in the gas station, and one in the barn to the right of it. The gas station is simple, but be weary that in the barn, a man is waiting to ambush you. Once you deploy the two satchels, move to the extraction zone (the blue X on your radar) you have already taken out the patrols so you need not worry about being attacked. Make sure you have the terrorist leader with you, and begin extraction. If you can do all this in under 12 minutes, you will get an A, or a B depending on your accuracy.
