Secret Areas/Cars

"Timmie" Locations in Miami
When you walk around in the three cities in Driv3r you might notice people that look remarkably similar to one Tommy Vercetti from GTA:VC( they wear a hawaiian shirt). There are 10 in each of the 3 cities. Here is a list of the 10 in Miami. Once you KILL all of the Timmies in Miami, go to the Coral Gables and look for a ranch home marked on the map near the corner of the road heading to the Biltmore Hotel, opposite the water tower. Go in the backyard, and look for a bunker entrance in the shrubs. Open that door and find a bunch of guns at your disposal!!

--------------------------------
Miami :
--------------------------------

Timmy Vermicelli #1
Start off at your house. It doesn't matter what car your in just don't start ina boat or a big vehicle. Get out and go to the house across the street. Go to the right of the house because you can't reach the backyard from the left. Go to the backyard and he'll be in the corner of the yard that will be the farthest away from you.

Timmy Vermicelli #2
Start off in Tanner's house you can start off in a boat or a car, but you'll have to get into a boat anyways. From here just drive far away from the house and you'll get to the cruise docks. Now drive directly away from the cruise docks until you see Miami in the map (the word.) There will be a few houses in the water there and he is in the house that is on the dot of the second "i" in Miami. Get out and have your gun in hand. Open the door and sneak up on him.
Just shoot him and he'll eventually die but he will still shoot you back. He won't be back after you die or restart, just make sure you save the game.

Timmy Vermicelli #3
Start off at the start point next to Dodge Island(southern most bridge.) Go over the bridge and go into the first yard at the right that you can. Go into the second building to your left. He will be hiding in the top right corner of the empty warehouse on the catwalk.

Timmy Vermicelli #4
This one is hard to explain so I'll just give you driving instructions. Start off in the start point that is next to all of the bridges. It will be on the west half of Miami and is the only start point on he west half near large bridges. Drive all the way down the road and make the last right before the bridge. Go straight to the end and go left down the alleyway. Go under the tracks until you reach a fence. Don't go in between the fence and the building.
Instead go left. When you get to the corner of the building, go right. Keep an eye on the right for a short alley leading to two garages. One garage door is open and you can't open the other. Go in and he will be to the left of you.

Timmy Vermicelli #5
Go to Coral Gables (south-western most part of map and go to the section of the map that looks like this:
_______
| | |
| | |
|---+---|
| |* |
|___|___|
S
Go up some stairs right above the "S" in my little map description. He will be in a garage door labeled A1 that you have to open yourself. Open the door then you can just hide and shoot him since he's at the opposite end of the garage. I put the star for his location.

Timmy Vermicelli #6
Go to Tico's construction yard that you had to smash up in the mission "Impress Lomaz." On one of the unfinished houses, he will be on the second floor on the edge. I can't really explain how to get to Tico's construction yard, but you can look at the map and once you've seen that, there should be no problem in finding it.

Timmy Vermicelli #7
He's guarding the switch to the racetrack where you can get the go-kart. Go to the big hotel at the west end of the map and to the side will be a long path filled with trees and bushes. Go down a long tunnel that looks like a drain.
Run up the stairs at the end and go all the way and to the part where you get inside. Shoot him and he's guarding the switch to the track.

Timmy Vermicelli #8
Standing out in front of a house by the road under construction. Just drive into him and it's an easy kill.

Timmy Vermicelli #9
Go to the stadium and go up the ramp. Go to the southwestern most part of the stands and he will be hiding behind an overturned vending machine.

Timmy Vermicelli #10
Go to the hotel that you had to reach in the rooftops mission. Go all the way to the roof and go to the other end of the roof. Open the door and go up to the elevator. You will hear the *ding* and then the door will eventually open. He will be in the elevator when it opens, if you have the shotgun, just run next to the elevator door and shoot him, hide, shoot him, hide, and keep doing that until he's dead.

--------------------------------
Congratulations! You killed all the Timmies in Miami. Now go to the armory which is behind a house near the hotel you had to go by for the go-kart. Go in and you can get all the guns you'll get in Miami including the grenade launcher. And when you get out, all the cops will now be Timmies in Big Rigs.
They're hard to kill (the big rigs that is) so you should try to get one. I shot a few grenades at it before and it still didn't blow up. Still never saw one actually blow up in pieces, even after six grenades.

--------------------------------
Nice
--------------------------------

Timmy Vermicelli #1
Start at the most western part of the map. When you start in Take A Ride mode, go left from the start. Take your next left and look at the fence on the left side of the road. Go through the entrance when you see it and keep going down a little bit until you see an open warehouse. Run up the stairs and he will be on the catwalk to the left. And a little tip in case your one of those people that run around and shoots at the same time. If you go to the right, you will go right into a five-foot long dead end and then you're trapped. Nowhere to hide to reload. So don't go right when you go through the door.

Timmy Vermicelli #2
Start off in your boat to the western most starting point. Go up the river. When the river makes a turn to the right, look on you left side. Behind the first big rock, he will be standing there. Just go to the other side of the river and shoot at him. You can just barely reach with the grenade launcher. It's also fun to try to get him into the water because he won't swim, he'll just float.

Timmy Vermicelli #3
Drive down to the airport. In the northern part of the airport in the middle will be a huge tower. Climb up these very long set of stairs and you'll be right behind Timmy and he won't know you're there.

Timmy Vermicelli #4
Go down to the church in the middle of the city. If you stand right in front of it, go to the right. He will be against the right side of the church in the wide open.

Timmy Vermicelli #5
Look at the map and go to that spot on the map. There will be an opening in between two buildings. Don't go down there it will just throw you off. But on the building to the right of you will be two doors. Open the door to the right and he will be in the left corner of the building.

Timmy Vermicelli #6
Go to the part of the map that is a huge gray area. Drive along the main road that pretty much goes thought the whole city until you see a small road on a steep hill going up by that section. Now drive up it all the way and follow the path. In a gazebo you will see Timmy.

Timmy Vermicelli #7
Drive along the shore until you find a lighthouse. Climb the long ladder and he will be at the top. If you don't want to climb up and try sneaking up on him, then try to just shoot at him from far away, he won't shoot back if you're far enough away.

Timmy Vermicelli #8
Start on the eastern most part of the city. Turn around and climb that big rock. On the other side will be a nice little stunt course. He will be hiding under the closest ramp to you.

Timmy Vermicelli #9
Go down to that huge peninsula on the eastern side of the map. Go in a boat and circle the smaller peninsula on the west part of the huge peninsula. Look for a cave and drive down it. He will be standing on a rocky surface behind a huge rock.

Timmy Vermicelli #10
Go to the place where you had to go for the mission "18 Wheeler." Smash through the gate and find the building you can go in. To the right of that little house is a crate and Timmy is hiding in it and he's crouching. Just get him easily with a grenade.

--------------------------------
Congratulations! You have killed all of the Timmies in Nice! Now go to the armory, which will be a blue, dot on the map and will have a long pathway too. It will be a house filled with weapons and health. When you go in Fugitive mode will begin. All the pedestrians will now have guns and be against you..::

-------------------------------------

Here are all of the secret cars and their locations in Nice. The cars are a Camper Van, Dolch Schub, and a Forklift.

--------------------------------
2.1 - Camper Van
--------------------------------

Go to Cagnes Sur Mer. Make your way right to the top of the hill. You should find a courtyard with a cafe. The van is in a garage next to the cafe.

--------------------------------
2.2 - Dolch Schlub
--------------------------------

Go to the airport. Drive down the runway going eastward. On you’re left, there will be a building with red doors. It's in the garage to the left.

--------------------------------
2.3 - Forklift
--------------------------------

Go as far east as you can on land down to where there's a bit of land that sticks out from the rest. Go to where there are two loops of road here shown on the map. Now here, there's a house on its own and some more road not shown on the map. Go around to the right of the house and follow this road until you come to a left turn. It's a steep driveway. Go up here the car is in the back garden in a garage.

USING THE MAP ::.

The map shows a basic version of the road system in black. It important to remember that there are lots of areas that aren’t roads but can still be driven on, so don’t rely on it all the time. The red circles on the map are safe houses where you will find health and can hide from the long arm of the law. A small white dot represents you. On missions a small green dot is a mission critical target. A searchlight emanates from he target, directly to your point on the map. This searchlight will pass straight through buildings so it may be an idea to plan your route on the big map at the start of a mission. To bring up the full map press the START button.

White dots with white searchlights represent the cops field of vision. When the cops are after you their field of vision increases. If your Felony meter is even partially filled, the cops will be on your case. If your felony gets past the white line then the cops will shoot to kill. A white dot with a red searchlight represents a rival gang. These will ignore the law completely and put a bullet in your head at the first chance they get.

.:: CORNERING ::.

When attempting to make a sharp turn the easiest thing to do is to tap A and steer. If timed correctly you will skid round the corner without hitting anything. If you are very low on health then it is best to slow down before making a sharp turn/

.:: LOSING THE TAIL ::.

Sometimes during a mission, you'll be told to "Lose the tail. Always remember that the quickest way to eliminate a single car is to jump out and shoot the driver through the window. Here's a few useful tips for what to do if your low on health or ammo:

- 180.... speed towards some traffic with the pursuing car close behind, get just past the traffic vehicle, then hit A to handbrake and turn left / right to swing the car 180 degrees.

- chicken.... drive straight at an oncoming vehicle, swerving out of the way at the last possible second. The other car will swerve away and lose control

-weaving works well on highways with lampposts weave through the lampposts, avoiding them by inches. If you're subtle enough about it, you can cause the pursuing car to ram straight into the pole. This works best when the car is right on your bumper.

.:: SHOOTING ::.

For shooting you my want to use first-person-view. Enable this by pressing BACK. Using the crosshair, move Tanner's view onto a target with the right analog stick. When the target is in your sights, the crosshair will turn from white to red, for an enemy, and from white to blue for a friendly/cop. Start shooting. Choosing the right gun for the situation is crucial. If your dealing with a maximum of 2 enemies at once the 12-guage shotgun is perfect. The collateral damage is huge, so just aim in the general direction of the bad guy and start shootin'. Remember thay it's useless at anything more than a short distance, so use in confined quarters. It has a very slow rate of fire and only has an 8-shot clip. To take on groups of enemies, machine guns best. Use a slow rotation of the aim to mow them all down. The machine guns have a high amount of rounds per clip, but they quickly diminish. If there’s a group on enemies a fare distance away then use a rifle; while not as fast as the machineguns they are far more accurate. The pistols are great for anything else, especially long distance shooting.

.:: MISSIONS ::.

Miami

Mission 1 - POLICE HQ
Get to the Police Headquarters

This is Tanner's home. Get to know it. On the kitchen table is a health pack, upstairs there is another. Exit through the door ahead of you. Outside, just too your right, is a garage with your ride. Press X to enter the vehicle. A bouncing red arrow marks your destination. Enter the police HQ and head to the left where there is a doorway with a yellow gun sign. Take out your gun (BLACK) and walk in. The objective here is to shoot the bad-guy targets (red), and not hit the civilians (white). A good technique for this is to just strafe left and right and pick off the targets, aiming only slightly with the right analog stick. The targets pop out at random points, so I can't tell you exactly where they'll come from, but look behind boxes and alcoves. If you want you can try again, if not then on too the next mission…

Mission 2 - Lead on Baccus

This mission starts off with a sort of practice car chace. Quickly get in the police car ahead of you. If you ose the cops you're following, you fail. Remember what I said about
cornering? The chase will turn right shortly, then speed over the bridge. This isn't really that tough, just designed to get you driving at high speed with no mistakes. If your bonnet sticks up turn sharply to shake it off or press BACK to get an in-car view.

Mission 3 - The Siege

Move around to the left side of the building ahead of you. Baccus is inside with a hostage. You'll see some cops in the road looking at a gateway in the wall to your right. 2 guys are gonna run out of there and start shooting at you. Shooting from a medium distance at a bad-guy will typically take about 3 shots to kill him, 4 shots for a longer distance. Head to the entrance by the big red arrow. Aiming diagonally through the gate, pick off the guy behind the boxes. Don't go in... adjust your aim so you're facing he wall, then strafe to the gate. When your crosshair is over the badguy inside it'll turn red. Unload 4 rounds and he's dead. Watch the cutsecne.

When the game starts again you’ll already be in a car. Drive forwards, and to the right and exit the way Baccus did. He'll turn left and speed along the road. Don't attempt to ram him off the road, the chase will end naturally. To catch up with him, drive in a straight line; you'll gain ground on him in no time. This really isn't a difficult chase due to Baccus' eratic driving. Keep a cool head, make slight movements to avoid traffic and trees, corner carefully and he's yours. Remember, all you have to do is keep up with him.

As you're chasing him, quite a way down, be prepared for him to turn left. A few more left & right turns later, he'll head to a T-junction, where he will turn right. Keep pursuing until he crashes.

Mission 4 - Rooftops
Get to the Gold Coast Hotel

No rush, follow the map to the desination. This is your first night-time mission. Also beware that this is the first time that police cars will appear on patrol. You can spot them on your map marked with a small white triangle.

Once you make it to the hotel, ditch the car and walk up the fire-escape stairs. Enter the door, then run up the stairs to floor 2. There's a bad-guy here who will start shootin' if he sees ya'. Finish him off with a shot to the back of the head, then take his bullets. Enter the area, go down the corridor to the right. The last door on the left will open. In the room are 2 enemies. They'll start shooting the moment you walk in, so be prepared. It's not necessary to go in if you don't wish to, but kill these two and you can take the automatic weapon from the bed in the room... on the downside, you'll likely lose a lot of health, and it's fairly easy to complete the mission with the weapons you already have. The choice is yours.

None of the other doors open, so back out to the stairwell and ascend to the top. Walk through the door into a small room. Past the next door is the rooftop. Open it. Ahead are 3 enemies huddled together. From the doorway, headshot one of them before they know of your presence. Kill another one, then hunt down the one that run for cover.

Head down the stairs to the lower roof. An enemy will run from between the cylinders on the right. Take him down quickly and get behind the cylinders on the left. Onother enemy is shooting at you from the far end. When he's dead, take care of the guy ontop of the far stairwell by moving back a little and aiming over the cylinder with a nice headshot. Head up the stairs and take his automatic weapon.

There is a health pack just ahead of you by the corner of the small building. With your new weapon, run around to the right and kill the enemy in the distance. Don't run past the small building to your left. There's 3 enemies around the corner. Just strafe out, spray your automatic gunfire, then strafe back into safety.

There's another health pack by the door of the last small building. Collect it, enter the door, get in the elevator. You'll be taken down to the garage. The enemies here aren't aware of your presence yet, so use this opportunity to headshot one of the bad guys standing in front of you. Kill the guy in the control booth before leaving the safety of the elevator. Now pick off the guy standing by the far elevator just to the left of the control booth. Stand in the doorway of the elevator, turn left and headshot the gun in the distance (on the far right of the garage). Turn left some more until you can see the guy standing near the end wall. Gun him down from where you are. Only 2 left. Run out the elevator and gun down the guy near the back wall, then get behind the pillars to the left. There's one more guy near the left wall a little further down. Finish him off then head into the control booth. Pick up the health pack and hit L1 to activate the switch, opening the garage door. You should hear a 'ping' sound... 2 more enemies just arrived in an elevator sited to the left of the control booth. Use your automatic weapon on them.

Get in the car in the far corner (marked with a big red arrow, you can't miss it). As the screen prompt says, don't wreck it. Drive it out the garage via the door to the right of the control booth. Head left as soon as you get out. An enemy vehicle will show up on your map as a red triangle. He's out to wreck your car. Now is a good time to press START and check the large map, and plan a route to the target... you don't want to go over the wrong bridge. I suggest following the road, taking the first left, then left again, then following that road until you need to turn right.

To lose the guy chasing you, drive into the oncoming traffic, straight at oncoming vehicles. Dodge them as late as possible, causing them to swerve into the path of your pursuier. Also try weaving past lampposts, trees etc. Basically, the more eratic your driving, the quicker you should lose him. Once you make it to the target, a cut-scene will kick in.

Mission 5 - Impress Lomaz
Meet Lomaz Downtown

Exit your home through the door to your left, go left to the front garden. Turn right and run towards the moorings. Jump into one of the speedboats from the dock... if you land in the water, go near one and hit L1 to get in. Go to the target, it's halfway up a river on the other island, so use your map to get there. Getting back onto dry land is a tricky affair... pull up right next to the walkway, jump on the bonnet, then jump onto the ground.
Approach the cars and 3 guys. Stick close to the guy in the cowboy hat, he's Lomaz. He'll tell you the mission - wreck Tico's place.

Get in the car and you'll notice the 1:30 timer ticking away. This mission may take a few attempts to pull off in the time limit. The basic idea is to follow the route, smashing into the marked target - oil drums, tanks, huts, walls etc.

Don't worry about the guys shooting at you, just concentrate on lining up the targets with your bumper, especially the jumps, or those that require you to drive through a small shed. Once you smash one target, a new one will appear on the map marked with a green dot. The last target is on top of a small building. There's a ramp set up to get up there, which you'll need a long run-up to hit and get on the roof. If you blow it, you'll likely fail and be placed back in the car at the start. Don't forget to use the burnout button (circle) for quick accelleration after destroying one target... and take it slow through the small huts, it's easy to hit the ceiling.

Once you finish the course, Lomaz will instruct you to go and swap cars. A new target is on your radar just behind where you are. You're off to the Red River bar now. Locate it on your map, and park up outside.

Are you there? Your objective is simple - shoot the bar up before the cops arrive. First off, kill the barman. There's another guy in the room to the left by the pool table with an automatic weapon. Get his ammo before he dissolves. Another guy will pop up on the other side of the bar. Make sure you shoot all the wine bottles etc behind the bar... the fruit machine... the pinball table... the lights... the ceiling fans... the tables... the pool table... the jukebox and all those little tables next to it... the television in the corner... you should manage to fill the meter before the time runs out without too much bother (using your automatic weapon).

Mission 6 - Gator's Yatch
Get the C4 from Stiltsville to use on Gator's yatch

After a phonecall from Callita, run out your back garden to the powerboat awaiting. You'll notice you have 2 targets on your map. The first one you should head to is to the south, it's a large yatch. Callita's advice was to steal a small boat from the yatch... easier said than done. Ditch the powerboat before you get too close to the yatch, jump in the water and swim to the back end of the yatch. Press L1 to climb the ladder onto the yatch. Go up the stairs on the right... through the door... past the room with the piano and through the next door. The dining room is next, pass through and into a small room... then into a grey room with a switch marked with a yellow box. Press L1 to activate the switch and a small speedboat will be lowered into the water... with you inside it. Drive this speedboat to the other target on your map - Stiltsville.

Stiltsville is a group of small buildings suspended on stilts in the water. It's heavily defended, which is why you need this boat to go in undetected. Park your boat next to the walkway of the building marked with the big red arrow, and jump onto the walkway. Make sure you don't have your gun out, the guys on here think you're one of Gator's men and will leave you alone. Run up the stairs, then in the small grey door at the top of the stairs. Inside is a storeroom. Take the C4 marked with a yellow square... and the healthpacks & gun on the floor. Through the next door is another C4 charge on the bed, and one more on the table. Leave the storeroom and get back in your speedboat.

Drive back to the yatch. Do not ditch the boat this time, drive it right up to the rear end of the yatch, then jump over onto the yatch. You'll get shot at, so kill the guy as quick as you can, then run up the stairs on the right. Hug the side of the next set of stairs and pick off the guy on the far side. Then strafe out and kill the guy at the top of the stairs. Facing the stairs, there is a door either side. Enter the one on the right. Kill the 2 guys by the piano, take the healthpack. Proceed to the next door, behind it is the dining room and 2 more enemies. Take the healthpack next to the C4 target. Press L1 to place a C4 charge in the yellow square.

Run back to the stairs. Now run up them. Run around the far left and down the side walkway of the boat to collect a healthpack, then do the same on the far right side. Do not go up to the upper deck, there's nothing up there. Enter the white door at the top of the stairs you just came up. 3 enemies inside. 2 you can pick off from outside, the last you will need to run in and start shooting to your left. Healthpack on the table to the right. Down the corridor, a guy will appear at the corner. In the second door on the right are 2 more healthpacks. Enter the last door into the Bridge. 2 enemies in there. Once they're dead, place the second C4 charge. Run back out to the stairs and kill the guy waiting outside the door.

Go back down 1 set of stairs. Now enter the door on the left. It leads to the engine room. There are 4 enemies here - don't forget the one hiding in the shadows to your right. Take the healthpack from the left end. At the other end there's an enemy hiding behind a cylinder on the right. Kill him and place the final C4 charge.

You now have 30 seconds to get the hell outta there. Run back up the stairs, out the door (kill the guy in the way if you have to), down the stairs and hop in your boat. Speed off as far as you can - if you get caught in the blast, you're dead.

Mission 7 - Trapped
Get us out!

Okay, you're trapped in the car-park and decide to make your getaway through the mall. Not much tactics in this one, just speed along, following the Exit signs until you make it out onto the streets. Don't smash the car up too much, the mission depends on your vehicle remaining in one peice. There's a nice shortcut halfway through... just after the 2 cops standing in the way and you turn right into the large open area, stay on the left and head for the white square in the distance. It's a quick way to the large open area at the end.

As you do burst out onto the street, 2 police cars will try to block you, just ram straight through. Take a right turn. I've prepared a route which should help you avoid the police:

- after you take a right out of the garage, go to the end
- turn left. Follow this beachfront road then take a left at the junction
where a small road bends onto the beach (looks like a J on the map)
- take the next right
- follow the road around the bend, then take the first right marked on the
map (not a backstreet)
- drive forwards and up the sliproad, onto the freeway
- stay on the right, and go down the next sliproad ahead of you
- take a left at the bottom
- follow this road under the overpass, then take a right
- your destination is straight ahead of you

Callita now orders you to ditch the car in the water. The police are still looking for you, so here's the best route back, avoiding them:

- turn left, drive along, take the first left.
- follow this road to the very end, then turn right.
- drive to the end of this road, where you will reach your destination

See the ramp? Line yourself up with it, back up, burnout with circle and
speed towards the ramp. You can't bail out, you don't need to. As so

Driv3r- Calita in Trouble I found this mission particularly difficult- not so much getting to or rescuing Calita, but chasing Fabienne in the third section of the challenge.

As soon as the first cut scene ends, climb into the car. Do a handbrake turn and drive through the gap. Race towards Calita as fast as you can, though crashing doesn't really matter as you have time to regain yourself. On your route, you will come across the truck. You now simply have two options. One is to destroy the truck (which wastes time) and then race to Calita, or two, ignore the truck and get to Calita faster. The best option is to not fire at the truck, but drive side by side with it and ram it along the side of a building, then, in the last minute pull out and it will crash into a lamppost. Repeat until the truck is completely wasted, heading towards your main target all the time.

When you are near your location, it's best to take the quickest alleyway route. When you arrive in a small courtyard, climb out of the car and head down the next alley way to your left on foot. Beware, there are two guards around the corner, so move with caution. Once they are dead, head up the stairs. Do not go completely up, just far enough so that you can see one of the guards. Shoot him from the cover of the steps then leap out and face to your right. there s one more guard here to be shot so kill him, then turn around. Over the balcony, there are several enemies to be taken care of. Once again (like you did on the stairs), begin to shoot the enemies, standing a little back. Their AI is so bad they will just stand there and let you shoot them, and if they can't see you, they won't shoot back.

Now, for the third and final part of this mission. When the cut scene ends, run down the stairs. Now, here's the clever bit. Instead of getting in the car, run forward towards the road in front of you and (if you already haven't), change your weapon to a machine gun. Start firing and running at the same time and when Fabienne drives past, hopefully you will shoot her tires or head through the window screen. Keep on running until you meet the road and then keep shooting at the car.

After a few attempts, you will get her and complete the mission. Don't worry about starting the thing again because when you begin to chase Fabienne, there is an auto save.

Well, done, you've hopefully just completed one of Drv3r's most difficult missions.
