FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR WALKTHROUGH

For this walkthrough I’ll not go into details like tactics and explanations of the weapons as I think the training levels do a good job of this, so I’ll just jump straight in with the campaign walkthrough. I’ve covered the first five missions as once you’ve completed these the rest of the game is easy as nearly any situation can be overcome by using exactly the same tactics, so I’d end up just repeating myself when writing the walkthrough any further.

I’ll give you a few pointers here for those of you who are not particularly ‘tactically minded’ (if your not, you will by within the first 2 missions).

-Always move from cover to cover – NEVER stop out in the open.

-Nearly all enemies can be beaten by flanking them, use one team to provide covering fire for the other while they move.

-M203’s are in very short supply so don’t waste them. They are very useful in places because of their power and range so use them to take out things like snipers and groups of enemies that are behind cover.

-Be aware that not all cover is permanent, while walls and dumpsters are, things like crates and cars will degrade after a time to the point where they provide next to no cover at all. Never use sofas for cover (they last about 10 seconds).

-RPG’s can still take out your squad if they are using a corner of a building as cover.

-While suppressing fire is useful for keeping enemies pinned down, it’s only useful for keeping several enemies pinned because of the amount of ammo it uses. For single enemies, just give the team a fire sector, this will keep them adequately pinned down and it doesn’t use anywhere near as much ammo.

-On the last level you get to control 2 Rangers, they are extremely accurate and can even shoot enemies in cover. Use your 2 squads to cover them and let them do all the shooting.

-Some enemies will retreat when you get close to them, I’m not sure if certain enemies are supposed to do this or if they just do it randomly. If you do spot one running then use caution as you’ll most likely face him later on.

If one of you men goes down then you only have a limited amount of time to get to him before he dies – which means game over. If you can get to him because of enemy fire then either: -
-Use one team to get him while the other uses suppressing fire (it’ll use a lot of ammo but just take both teams back with you to the casevac site to get your ammo replenished.
-If there are enemies shooting at you from more than one direction then use suppression fire on one of them and use a smoke grenade to block the view of the other.
Use these tips and you should be able to overcome any situation. The walkthrough is based o my experience with the game and due to the enemies being a bit unpredictable in places I can’t guarantee that things like an enemy fleeing will happen in the same way for you (I’m not sure if these enemies are scripted or not as only a few of them seem to do things like run when you get near or throw a grenade at them). If so, then just use the above tips to get past him as he can be beaten by using the usual tactic of flanking.


CHAPTER 1

When the mission first starts you’ll find yourself controlling Alpha squad and you’ll be at the side of a road. Follow the soldier to cover as he tells you to and then go to the marker. He tells you to get the wounded soldier and bring him back to the casevac site.

Directly in front of your squad (east) there is a building, so get one of your squads to stack up by the corner.

Look round the corner and you should see a blue car, now get your other squad to take cover behind it.

Now go back to your first squad and order them to pick up the injured soldier and return to the casevac site with him. The squad behind the car will provide cover for them.

You’ll now get some new objectives to clear the street, now use your sitrep.

Go back to the building you were at before but this time order a squad to stack at the north corner. Look round and you should see a market stall – order your second squad to take cover behind this and they’ll come under fire from an enemy behind the blue car on the north wall of the far building.

Order your second squad to fire on the enemy and order your first squad to take cover behind the wooden crate to the left of the market stall (in front of the car). This won’t provide much cover but it’s better than nothing and it’ll mean that you can order both squads to fire on the gunman

Once your squad is firing from behind the crate, move your other squad behind the car to the right of their position. Here they’ll have a clear shot and will take out the enemy.

To your right there’s a building with a dumpster and some crates in it, order one squad to move to the north corner of it. Again they’ll come under fire from an enemy behind a dumpster at the end of the street. The trick here is to flank the enemy by using on team to keep him occupied and use the other one to flank by going round the other side of the building where you can get a clear shot.

Now keep following the objective marker east through the area using one squad to cover the other until you get the archway in one of the walls, her you’ll have to report in. Cover both sides of the archway with both squads so you have a clear view.

Order the squad on the right side of the archway to fire at the enemies and move the other team to take cover behind the debris in the archway itself.

Now set up a fire sector with the squad you just moved so they keep the enemies busy while you move the other team across the road and get them to take cover by the building on the opposite side.

Now the Bradley should appear and clear the street. You’ll get a sitrep and some new objectives to rescue a pinned down squad.

Send one of your squads down the newly cleared street and get them to take cover behind something like a car as they will come under fire from an enemy at the end of the street. Us the pinned down squad to engage him and use the other team to flank him by using the back alleys (use the GPS to plot your route), watch out though as there’s an enemy lurking around. Once you’ve got a clear view of the enemy at the end of the street, order your men to take him down.

Near the enemy you’ve just killed there’s a small alley heading north from the street. Send one squad down it and get them to take cover by the wall of the building about half way down. You should see about two enemies firing on the squad you have to rescue. Order your men to engage them and again, use the other squad to flank them from behind by moving down the street that’s east of the one your current squad’s in.

When the enemies are both dead simply follow the objective marker to find the trapped squad.

You now get a sitrep, your next objective is to meet with the Bradley at the objective marker.

Simply retrace your steps back onto the main road and meet with the Bradley at the corner; you’ll now get some new orders to eliminate a machinegun nest.

Follow the road west until you get to the corner where you will come under fire from the machine gun. You will have to pass a small street though with 2 enemies at the other end of it so use one of your teams to engage them while the team runs to safety at the street corner.

As with all obstacles like the machine gun nest, the trick is to out flank them. On the south wall of the building behind you there’s a car various other things you can use as cover. Get one team to engage the machine gunner while the other team uses the various things like the car and stalls as cover. Get them to move from one to the other until you get to the wall on the opposite side of the street.

The machine gunner can’t hit you here so order the other squad that engaged the machine gun to hold fire as they’re only wasting ammo.

Move down the wall the machine gun nest, about half way down there’s an opening; don’t enter it as there are about 3 enemies who will gun down your squad in seconds. Instead move to the corner by the machine gun. Be careful as your team is exposed to enemy fire here to get both squads to fire on the nest to keep the gunner pinned down. Now just lob a grenade at the gunner to take him out and complete the mission.


CHAPTER 2

Your objective here is to clear the route to the casevac site. Start as always by making your way down the road, moving your squads from one peace of cover to the other. You’ll face 2 enemies here but they are both easily taken out.

In the next area, there are 2 more gunmen who are both behind cover. You can’t take these guys out and you get message saying that some of the enemies have RPG’s. In the north east corner of the area your in there’s a small street between the two buildings. Go down here for a sitrep.

Move into the area full of crates, you’ll face another enemy but he’s easily killed (he appears from the left hand side). Advance further and you’ll face another 2 enemies so fight your way to the objective marker using the crates for cover (keep moving because the crates will degrade after a time). Once the area’s clear you get another sitrep.

Your next objective is to eliminate the enemies armed with RPG’s. Move onto the street in the direction of the objective marker. At the corner near the objective marker there are 2 enemies – both behind cover, one of them is armed with an RPG but is extremely inaccurate and the rockets hit the car on the opposite side of the street. After the enemy with the RPG has fired a couple of shots he them crosses the street and joins the enemy on the other side (I’m not sure if he’s supposed to do this or not), use this opportunity to take him out while he’s exposed to your fire. When he’s dead you get some new orders to move to a position where you can get a line of fire to the east (the position is marked with an objective marker). The convoy appears once you’re at the marker.

Next you have to go to the tank yard and check to see if the tanks have all been destroyed (of course they haven’t – it wouldn’t be very challenging level if there was nothing left!) Move east down the street and take out the enemy at the end. Now move the sitrep at the entrance to the tank yard.

Go to the gap in the wall and enter the tank yard. A cinematic mow takes over showing your squad taking cover behind the wreckage of a couple of burnt out tanks. Here you need to eliminate the enemy with the RPG so the Bradley can take out the tank.

This part seems hard but the tank can only fire at one team at once and the man with the RPG is very inaccurate so what you do is flank the RPG soldier using the squad that the tank is not firing at. Every time you move a team the tank will change its target and fire at the fire team that you have just moved. When this happens, move the other team until until you can get a clear shot of the enemy. Once the soldiers dead the mission ends.

CHAPTER 3

Move to the corner and you’ll come under fire from a machine gun nest and another enemy next to it. Use one squad to provide covering fire while the other uses the sandbags and cars as cover to move across the street.

Once your first squads across the street, the next area contains 2 enemies, order your other squad to hold fire as there’s no use in them firing and get the other squad to engage the 2 enemies – the first one has no cover and is easily taken out but the second one uses a dumpster for cover.

Using the truck for cover, advance on him and he’ll run away. Now, go back to the street and order your currently selected team to provide covering fire for the other team still by the convoy at the start of the level.

Once both squads are safely across, move into the area where you previously faced 2 enemies. Move down the alley until you come to the next area.

There are several parked cars in this area along with an enemy using them for cover and a sniper on the north wall (shown by the objective marker).

Move one team behind the dumpster and get them to shoot at the sniper so your other team can move behind the car and flank the enemy shooting at them by getting behind the red car. Once he’s dead, move the squad to the safety of the wall to the left of them.

Once they’re at the wall order them to fire on the sniper and get the other squad to run to cover below him by the objective marker. Once you get to the marker the sniper flees and you get a sitrep.

The next marker is just North West of your position. Move down the narrow streets until the main road is in sight. There’s an enemy that takes cover by a wall near to your position but doesn’t notice you (when I played it he didn’t anyway but due to the nature of the game he might spot you and start shooting). Rather than getting into a lengthy firefight simply throw a grenade in his direction to eliminate him.

Next simply go to the corner at the end and shoot the gunner in the machine gun nest. Now move to the two soldiers who are stood next to the machine gun nest to get your next objectives and another sitrep.

Now turn left and follow the road, when you get about halfway up an enemy will appear and start shooting at you from behind a car but he’s easily taken out.

Follow the street (don’t forget Charlie squad!) until you get to an opening on the right hand side (east) and move down the small street in the direction of your objective. When you get to the next street (it’s get several market stalls and washing lines in it) take out the enemy standing by the wall. Now advance into the street and another enemy appears behind the wooden table, however it provides next to no protection for him so just shoot your way through it. When the area’s clear you get another sitrep.

Advance down the street and take the opening near the end of it, the missiles are just in here so get Charlie team to them so he can disarm them. You now get another sitrep.

Once you have your new objectives, retrace your steps back to the main road. Now follow it to the convoy where you get yet another sitrep.

Move down the road heading north and take cover behind the dumpsters about halfway down as a enemy appears and starts shooting at you from round the corner. The squad behinds the dumpster on the right side of the road will have a good shot of him so once he’s dead or fled continue along the road until another enemy appears, start shooting at him and he’ll run and take cover behind the truck. Use one team to pin him down with fire while the other advances on him and you’ll soon take him down.

Round the next corner there’s another enemy, again use the same tactics and he flees once you get close to him. Move to the next corner and there’s another enemy (it might be the one that just fled) behind a car. Again use both sides of the street to advance on him and take him out.

Move into the car park and you’ll see 2 more enemies, one behind a car and the other one at the top of the steps on the far wall. Use one team to provide covering fire and use the other one to fire an M203 grenade at the car one of the enemies is hiding behind, this will destroy the car and take him out. By now the enemy on the steps will have fled (he did for me anyway).

Move further in and move one of your teams behind the large plant on the north wall, there are 2 more enemies on the steps infront of them and here they have a good shot of them.

Once the area is clear you get a sitrep (it’s by the wall on the west side of the car park). Now move to the objective marker.

You now have to cover both entrances as several enemies try to escape. Get one team to cover the main entrance by moving them to the cover of the sandbags and move the other team behind the car where they can see the side entrance. Now give both teams fire sectors that cover the entrances and they should be able to take care of anyone who tries to escape. Use grenades and M203’s to take out any that take cover.

Once the area’s clear you get new orders to get to the rendezvous point to the south. There are no more enemies so just run to the marker to complete the mission.

CHAPTER 4

Enter the hanger, there are two enemies in here so use the various crates for cover and as always, try to flank them. As you advance through the hanger, the enemies will most likely flee. When the areas clear you get a sitrep.

Now move east where there are another 3 enemies, they don’t have much cover so find some cover yourself and take them out. Keep advancing east then move south into the next area.

Here there’s an enemy behind a trailer with bags on it so get one team to engage him from the corner while you move the other one behind the car in the middle of the area. His cover will eventually be destroyed and he’ll be killed. Once he’s dead you get a sitrep (it’s in the hanger to your right).

Exit the hanger and move to the next area west of your current position. You’ll attacked by another enemy at the next corner but he can be quickly taken out with a grenade.

Go into the next area where there’s an enemy behind one of the many crates (although he’s behind the one crate in the area that can’t be shot through). Again, use one squad to provide cover for the other while they advance and as you near the enemy you should see two more in the distance to the south. Try to get one of your teams behind the enemy while the other one keeps him too busy to notice. Once he’s dead you get a sitrep.

Now move south east in the direction of the objective marker, then round the corner and head west. Move to the corner where you’ll see another enemy stood in the area, shoot him then you have to report in.

Move south to the gate area and take cover behind the concrete barriers and engage the enemy in front of you.

There are 2 RPG soldiers to the east by the gate so move one of your teams to behind cover by one of the stone pillars; here they can take them out.

There are two machine gun nests to the south so keep one of your teams by the pillars where they are safe to draw their fire and use the other to move to the objective marker and then behind the concrete barrier by the main entrance. Another enemy will appear by the tank but he has no cover so eliminate him quickly then report in.

You get told to take out the tank, move to the corner of the barrier nearest the tank and then use the marker found on the grenade selection menu to target the tank. A cinematic now takes over showing the tank being destroyed and you get some new orders and a sitrep (it’s near the north wall).

Leave this area the way you came in and move north east towards the objective marker. When you get to the casevac site you get another sitrep.

Now go west (under the large shelter that’s directly in front of you) until you come to an opening to your right (there’s an enemy down here). Take the enemy out and then move north to his position.

Once at the corner, take a left and take out the enemy that’s got his back turned to you then cautiously advance into the next area.

Move into the next area that’s got 2 destroyed tanks in it and engage the enemy there. Taking him out’s easy as there is lots of cover available so you should easily be able to flank him. Once he’s dead you get a sitrep.

Now move south but watch the building with the smashed windows that’s in front of you as there’s a machine gun in there that can tear your squad to shreds within seconds.

This section is hard but I’ve found away to easily get past it. Move both squads behind some cover where they have a clear view of the gunner and draw his fire. The gunner can’t shoot at both teams at the same time so use the team not currently being fired at to fire an M203 grenade at the gunner. If aimed properly the gunner should be killed allowing you to pass through safely. It may take a few attempts though.

Move into the next area and take cover by the baggage cars and another enemy will appear behind one of the vehicles. Again flank him and take him out by sending the other team round the back of the destroyed fighter jets. You get a sitrep once he’s dead.

Continue into the next area where there are two more enemies, use the various piles of debris to provide cover for your squads and as always, out flank them.

When they are both dead, continue through the destroyed wall into the next area where the soldiers are pinned down. There are 3 enemies in here, as before flank them using the crates for cover (an M203 can do wonders here as the enemies are all stood near walls). The mission is complete when they are all dead.


CHAPTER 5

When you start, turn around and move north along the road and when it turns left, take cover on each side of the road. Do not rely on the corners for cover as the enemy at the end of the road is firing an RPG that can still take out your squad even if they’re in cover.

What you need to do is to go up the road and take the first left turn, this is done quite simply because the RPG is slow, inaccurate, and takes ages to reload so use this to your advantage. Simply wait for the RPG to fire then run for cover as you’ll have a few seconds before the enemy is able to fire again. Use these tactics to get to safety.
Once you get to safety you get a sitrep but its unusable since it’s back at the start of the level and using it would mean getting both squads past the RPG a further two times.

Go to the end of the street and turn right and continue following it until it reconnects with the road that’s guarded by the enemy with the RPG. You need to get to the street directly across the road from your position so simply run across as the enemy will not have enough time to react and then do the same with the other team. Now enter the next area where you get a sitrep.

Follow the street and continue through the next area. Take cover by the corner when the road turns left and engage the enemy that’s round the corner. Use one team to pin the enemy down while the other uses the dumpster on the right as cover. That team now needs to provide covering fire while the team at the wall makes a run for the dumpster next to the enemy. That team can then take the enemy out but will come under fire from enemy in front of them but he flees.

Continue down the street and get one team to cover the corner and the other to clear the two enemies out of the area to the right (neither of them has have any cover).

Around the next corner, there’s another enemy (the one which fled earlier), quickly take him out with a grenade (it saves you the time and ammo of using flanking tactics).

Now enter the area to the right and when the cinematic has finished, use the sitrep.

Continue to follow the street until you get back to the main street you where on earlier, this time the RPG soldier’s gone and now there’s a casevac there.

Again follow the road until you get the point where there’s a garage to your left with an enemy in. The enemy’s only using crates for cover which can be shot through so order one of your teams to engage him.

When he’s down, continue west to the objective marker. When you get to the T-junction, take a right and you’ll face another enemy so, as always take cover and use one team to flank him while the other one provides covering fire. Get one team to take cover behind the blue car at the corner because there is another enemy just round the next corner and here they have a good shot of both.

Now in front of you there’s an archway which leads to the objective but it’s guarded by enemies on either side you can take out your squads in seconds. Back track back to the T-junction and take the left this time.

Follow the left street; it leads you to the same road by the casevac site but this time away from the enemies. There are two enemies on the road but they both have no cover and have both have their backs turned to you so they present no challenge to you. Now just follow the objective marker to the casevac site. After the cinematic, you get a sitrep.

Your next objective is to meet with the Bradley at the gates and to escort it to the castle gates. Follow the objective marker to get to the Bradley.

After the cinematic move to the corner and engage the enemy who’s behind the sandbags with one squad, and move the other to the blue car next to the enemy where they can take him out.

Another enemy will appear at the next corner of the road and will take cover behind another car but the Bradley will take care of him.

Move both squads through the archway on the right side of the road. Watch out as there is an enemy tank on the next road to the east so use the concrete barrier as cover and move both squads across the road. Now move west and follow the road and take care of the two RPG soldiers at the objective marker.

Go back to where you faced the tank and wait for the Bradley to show up and take care of it. Mission complete.
