Retro Game Walkthroughs for Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (PlayStation 2)

Hitman 2 - Silent Assassin
Level 1: Anathema
This mission should take approximatelt 20mins and give you the
ranking of Silent Assassin.
Weapons to take: - 9mm Pistol SD
Head straight for the small door that is surrounded by four
trees located straight infront of you when the level begins.
There should be one guard patrolling on the other side of the
door, wait by the outcrop of wall to the side of the door for
him to exit and take a little whizz in the trees. As he walks
out and turns his back slowly creep around to the door, using L1
and through to the other side.
Once through the door, turn to your right and run towards the
kitchen entrance. Go down into the basement here; you should
not be seen by the patrolling guard on the kitchen door.
Once into the basement head all the way around the corridor to
the exit by a staircase. Slowly head up the staircase by
walking and turning your back to see the cook by the cooker.
Once at the top of the stairs, go through the door directly by
the side of you.
A quick glance of your map should show you that you are inside
the Villa. If you are quick enough you should be able to get to
the library before the patrolling guard enters the building from
the villa grounds. You should now be secure in the library.
Its now a question of looking at your map and waiting for the
patrolling guard outside of the Boss' Bedroom to leave his post
and walk away from the door. This should happen once:
1) The maid has delivered the flowers from the postman.
2) After the Don's brother and son has patrolled the balcony of
the Boss Office.
If you are patient enough to look at your map you should keep an
eye out for the patrolling guards on the first floor and in the
Villa Grounds and at the patrolling guard outside the Boss'
Bedroom.
At first the Don's son and brother should patrole the Boss'
Office balcony followed by a lonely guard. Meanwhile the Boss is
continuing to walk from the Boss' Bedroom balcony to the Boss'
Office.
Wait for this guard to walk away from the door (he should walk
to the opposite door), Now run out of the library and to the
stairs on your left, up the stairs and straight into the Boss'
Bedroom. The Boss should be in his Office and the guard should
be wandering back to his post.
Now wait in the corner opposite the exit to the balcony and wait
for the Boss to return to the Bedroom. Equip your 9mm Pistol
SD, and follow the Boss silently (L1) as he walks to the
balcony, once he has opened the balcony door and turned left
follow him quickly and with your 9mm Pistol SD one head shot
should complete the objective.
Pick up the room key and any other vital pieces of ammo or
weapons, but always keep your weapons holstered. (The only
weapon you really need for this mission is you 9mm Pistol SD,
but it is always a good idea to collect any weapons you haven't
got in you shed)
Head back into the Boss' Bedroom and wait by the door for the
guard to leave his post again. Once he does make sure no guards
are patrolling the first floor library area as you are heading
back the same way you came in.
Once you are back down the stairs and by the library head the
same way you came in, this time, when your in the Basement use
the key on the only room in the basement where Vittorio is
held.
The objective is now changed based upon the status of that room,
it is now time to leave...
Head out the way you came in taking care of noting the position
of the guard by the kitchen and the one taking a whizz at the
first door. If the area is clear you should be able to make it
out and turn right to head home, if the guard is patrolling at
the first door you came through, hide in the Garage and take
cover for a while, check your map to see when he heads for the
kitchen, once he is out of sight head for the door.
You should now be home and dry through the exit marked on the
map.
Available Weapons: - Kitchen Knife in Kitchen, Golf Club in
Boss' Bedroom, Beretta 92 9mm on guards, Desert Eagle.50 on
Boss' brother, Double-Barrelled Shotgun on Lawyer, Colt Python
on Boss, Blaser R93 in Garage, Deagle in Study.
(Using the above strategy won't allow you to collect all
available weapons, only a few, but repeated tries can make
weapon collection complete)

My own Method for the Meeting in the park mission.
I did this on PS2 but I suppose it might be the same on PC and
X-box.
This can be a tricky mission depending on how you did in the
previous missions. There are 2 different methods depending on
wether you have the sniper rifle available for you.
Sniper method.
The weapons you need to select are the sniper rifle, Kitchen
knife and silent pistol. If you are doing it on Professional
then you wont have the silenced pistol available so you'll need
to use the knife to kill silently.
As soon as you start straight away drop the sniper rifle by the
boat and run right at the top of the stairs and keep going until
you get to the church building. When you get up to the bins,
turn right and go round the back of the building. If you have
been quick enough there will be a guard on his route. when you
run up to him he will be about to turn round and walk round to
the front of the church so you have to go up to him and shoot
him in the back of the head with the silenced gun.
If you shoot him anwhere else than the head he will be heard by
the guy round the front of the church and he will see you and
then you'll fail the mission so you have to kill the first guard
with a shot to the head.
Once he's dead drag his body to the back of the church and make
sure he's out of site.
Take his clothes and LEAVE THE AK. (NEVER go into 1st person
with any gun equipped if you're trying to act as an enemy in
their uniforms otherwise you're pointing it at things and they
shoot you). So now, dressed in the guys clothes, run back to the
boat and pick up your rifle. Remember, don't go into 1st person
with it. Now run back to where you killed the first guy. Its
okay to run as long as you stick the right hand wall when
running back cos you're too far away for the guards to see you.
Then go round the side of the church and ther'll be a locked
door. Pick it and go up to the top of the stairs where there is
one guy. Walk carefully up the stairs positioning the camera so
that you can see where he is. Now go walk in and shoot him in
the head with the silenced pistol and make sure he dont shoot at
you.
Now with him dead go to the window and equip the sniper rifle.
Go into snipe mode and the two targets will be standing OR
walking in the park, very slowly. Take your time to aim so that
the two targets are oppsite each other and you can shoot through
both of them with one clear shot.
If you don't hit both of them with one shot or they are not in a
position to take that shot, shoot the guy in the black first
because he has a less distance to run back to his car if they
get alarmed. So shoot the guy in black THEN the guy in green cos
he has to run really far giving you more time to shoot him.
Once they are both dead, guards are gonna be pouring into that
building and the only way out is down the stairs so quickley
drop the sniper and pick up the AK from the dead guy and slowly
make your way down the stairs killing the body guards as they
get in the way. Make sure you pick up their guns as you'll have
low ammo. Now with most of them dead, just run back to the boat.
The route is very easy, just turn right out of the church and
then right again and run across the long bridge down the steps
and into your boat.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Method 2.
This is pretty straight forward. If you dont have the sniper
rifle, just run up to one of the entrances to the park where
there will be two guards guarding the entrance. They will come
over to you and tell you to go away. Now back up and they will
leave you alone. Wait for a bit now..... quite a long bit until
it says both on the targets have arrived by limosine and then
about a minute after that, kill the two gurads very fast with
the silenced pistol, grab the ak's and run into the park guns
blazing. Make sure you have definately killed the targets, don't
just pop a couple of shots and run away cos they can take a few
hits to kill.
Don't worry about the guards either. Now with both the targets
down just run back to your boat killing a few guards on the way
back.
Method 2 is much easier but method 1 is way more rewarding cos
you feel like a real hitman.
