Game Walkthrough
================

Maharaja's Treasure Vault (2%)
------------------------------

Once you select new game and you have control of the prince, who is standing on a balcony. Move into the bedchamber behind thin curtains and the game will begin. An introduction to the game will commence, watch it, learn from it and then remember it when you reach the end of the game.
When you have control of the prince again, you will be in the middle of an attack against the maharaja's city. This part is a tutorial; it is very easy and can be completed without the help of this walkthrough but if you do happen to get stuck: I have written a brief walkthrough for this area anyways:

*EXTRA START*
Tutorial

Climb up the stones on the wall which has broken slightly, read the instructions carefully at the bottom of the screen. Instructions will pop up as you reach an area where you are in need of a special move. For example: wall running or jumping from pole to pole...etc.
Follow the instructions until it starts asking you to try the different camera angles. Try both the first person angle and landscape camera angles, you will also see a boulder smash into the bridge you are on. Jump across the gap and head towards the right to get over another gap.
Go left into the castle and you come across your first guard, kill him while following controls on the bottom of the screen.
Once the guard is dead, head up the ladder to the top and slaughter 2 more guards up there. Easy, isn't it!
Head insider to a room with water pool in it, if you have lost health...the water is there for you to get your health back. (Later in the game you may have lost a lot of health and need lots of water, hold down the 'R Shoulder Pad' button when you are drinking water to carry on drinking water until you have all your health back).
Leave the room and you will come across 4 guards, a cut-scene will show the guards. Drop down and start fighting, this is multi-enemy combat and believe me: it won't be as easy as this! Enjoy this while you can.
Once the guards are all killed, run through the open doorway and get yourself round to the other side where a gap is too big to jump. Run along the wall here to the other side of the bridge and climb up the ladder waiting for you. Enter the doorway and use the pool of water if you've lost health.
Head back outside to see a cut scene showing a hole in a wall, run to the other end and jump up to grab the ledge. Shift along the ledge until you get round the corner so you’re above the hole in the wall. Drop down and enter the hole to fight off some guards, once in the room, find the column which is tallest.
Jump onto the tallest column and climb up till your right at the top of it, tilt the control stick in the direction of the next column and press 'A' to jump. Alternatively you can turn the prince round the column so his back faces the next column and press 'A'.
Jump along until you are at a column which is closest to the ledge above, jump to the ledge in the same way as jumping to another column. Once on the ledge, go through the doorway and you can save the game.

*EXTRA END*

After saving the game: go forward and run across the wall on the prince's right until you reach the other side, you can also drop down and drink some water. If you do drop down, you can climb up some ledges on one of the walls at the bottom.
On the other side, run across the wall on the right and when you are opposite the ledge on the other side, press 'A' and you will jump off the right wall and land on the ledge...timing needs to be accurate so practice doing this running and jumping.
On the next wall, run on the right wall until you reach the other side. You will then see 2 walls on your left and right with a ledge high up on top of the left wall. Run vertically up on the right wall and at the peak of your run-up, press 'A' and you will jump off to the ledge on the left wall.
Run through the doorway and you will see the dagger of time and a path of how to get to it. Run along the wall on your right and reach a platform, run along the right wall and jump off onto the next platform. Climb up the wall to left of the little glowing window where the dagger is, do some wall running until you reach the next 2 platforms.
Enter the doorway and you will see some spiky poles pop-up and start moving about. To tackle this one, drop down and wait for either of the side spiky poles to reach you. When the side poles start to move away from you, follow them until the centre spiky pole passes you, then move into the centre and run along to the end of the walkway.
You can get some water here if you want, drop down and drink away.
If you don't drink the water: as soon as you get to the end of the walkway, run along the left wall until you reach a ledge. Walk along the thin ledge to the end, jump off to the ledge on the other wall, and walk along this and some spike poles will appear before you. When both poles are in the centre, wall run on the left wall and then jump the ledge on the right. Enter the doorway and you will be shown, to you reluctant pleasure, a series of thin ledges for you to shimmy along.
This part is very simple, start making your way across the ledges, some parts will break but you will hear a crumbling sound and see the part of the ledge that is about to break start to shake before it does fall apart.
Drop down by pressing 'X' button, you can drop down 2 levels of ledges without loosing health. Press the 'A' button to climb onto the ledge and walk along with your feet, when you are on the ledge with your feet: you can press 'A' to jump the ledge above you.
Once you reach the far left ledge where you can jump to the column without falling to your door, you will have to jump to the column and keep jumping from column to column until you can safely drop down to the next little area. Here there are small wall-mounted fountains to replenish your health, you can do so and maybe, if you want, vandalise some of the tables, chairs and treasure with your sword.
Go towards the giant statue with the hand and run up the rocks to grab the edge, climb up onto the ledge. To get onto the hand, you have to run up the opposite wall then jump off so you land on the hand. On the hand, shimmy to the left and climb up. Run up the next wall and then up the side of his head, here you will need to jump from the right wall...to the left wall...to the right...left...right...and so on, until you reach the top. When you reach the top, grab the dagger, watch the intense cut-scene and then start to exit.
Head into the hallway, wait for the floor to crumble away so it leaves just a few ledges for you to get to. Wall run + jump to reach the ledges, keep doing this until you reach the other side. You can use the dagger to reverse time if you need to, but be careful how much you use it. You can reverse time for up to 10 seconds.
Once on the other side, get past the first set of spike poles and then wait for the second to come to you. When the spike poles start to move away from you, run after them and hide in a small alcove on the right wall. Then let the poles go past you before coming out of the alcove and climbing up the wall. Drop down, get past 3 more spike poles (like the first set you came across in the game), then climb the wall. Walk out the doorway and this area is complete.

Sands of Time, unleashed. (5%)
------------------------------

Kill the sand creatures that are in the room. The sand creatures have an ability to zoom towards where you are in an instant so be careful if you are running away…because you can’t run away from them.
Killing these sand creatures is a cinch, just ‘vault’ over them, in mid air press the ‘B’ attack button once and then pressing the ‘Y’ retrieve button: Press these 2 buttons while you are flying over the head of the enemy to do a quick retrieve.
Alternatively, you can keep hacking way at the enemy until it is on the floor then press the ‘Y’ button to retrieve the enemy’s sand. Read the manual and play around with lots of different moves, use the walls and the ‘A’ button to make full use of the prince’s superhuman agility.
One the enemies are finished you will watch the prince enter a glowing shaft of orange light, this is what future save points will look like. These save points will allow you to glimpse into the future, you have no control over the future images so just watch and remember.
After the saving is done, enter the hole beside the door where the girl was looking at you from in the cut scene. The hole will be next to some rubble that has fallen down.
Follow the stairs upwards and when the ceiling collapses, head into the room on the right. Run down the stairs and wall run to the other side of them.
Get yourself to the floor then head to the corner of the room under where you entered, you will see a bar above you jump and grab it.
Swing along the bars then on the last bar, swing towards a ledge in front of you and the prince will grab the ledge. Pull yourself up and walk across to the platform, wall run to the next one. From this platform you will need to wall run and jump off the wall to grab the bar on the right, nicely done. Swing off the bar and land on the ledge, then head through the doorway. Follow the hallway until the ceiling collapses again and head to the left this time.
Jump the gap and grab the bar to swing across to the other side. Head into the hallway and go to the right into the next room. You will see the bar you need to get to, to get to it you have to wall run along the wall and grab the bar. Swing across from bar to bar until you reach the ledge on the other side. Wall run again to the bar and drop down two bars until you reach the ground. There are few sand creatures here so whack them all and take their sand and you should now get your first dagger upgrade. Head to the corner of the room where a bar holding a light is. Grab the bar and swing, jump off and the prince will grab the wall: in the brief second of him grabbing the wall you will have to press ‘A’ to jump off to the above bar. Swing off the bar and grab the ledge. Pull yourself up and go through the hole in the wall to a save point.

Had I really seen her? (7%)
---------------------------

After the saving head down the hallway and you can use the water fountain if you need it. Smash the boxes blocking the doorway and head to the right to retrieve a sand cloud pressing ‘Y’, this will get the prince to use his dagger and retrieve it. Head to the wall at the end and run up it then jump off it to grab the pole. To jump of the wall, press ‘A’ and move the control stick in the back direction. The prince will grab a bar, use it to swing to a ledge and drop down to the hole in the wall.
Enter it and follow the hallway round until it gets pitch black, continue running and you will end up in a place full of wooden bridges and a blue misty haze. Run along the bridges (very straightforward) until to get to the centre fountain where the prince will automatically drink the magic water. This water will permanently increase your life bar and once you finished drinking, it will return you back to the hole where you can continue. The magic fountains are hard to locate but give a clue where as to they might be found, the clue is a soft ringing sound like a deep whistle. Make your way to the right to reach the other side. Walk over to the left and drop down to the ledge below and again until you reach the ground.
Run down the hall and jump over the gap to reach a sand cloud, retrieve it and then head down to gap to ground below. When you touch the ground, follow the hall round until the scene with Farah, the girl you saw earlier, plays.
After the scene you will have to mash up some scarabs that occasionally jump in the air and fly or stay on the ground, whether they are in the air or in the ground makes no difficulty difference…in my opinion. After the scarabs are gone, you can drink water from a fountain further down the corridor or from a big fountain right next to the area where you and Farah met in the cut-scene.
Go to the other end of the hallway and you will get a flyby view of the room. After this, don’t jump across the cap yet. Go left quickly and grab a sand cloud before coming back to the room.
Jump across the gap and go right to head outsider, you will see a cut scene of some ‘winged creatures’ carrying the sacred sands of time hourglass. After the cut-scene some of the walkway you are standing on will break, wall run across to the other side and head into the doorway on the left to head back into the room. Climb the column in front of you and then jump to the right where you will grab a half broken column, don’t worry, these won’t break. From that column, jump along until you reach a column which is directly opposite 2 small ledges in the wall. Jump to the ledges and drop down to the platform. The next column is reached by wall running along the wall from the platform and then jumping off the wall to grab the column.
To aid jumping to columns off walls, keep an eye on the shadow of the column so that when the prince is on the shadow then you jump off. Of course you can always rewind time if you screw up.
Once on the column, slide down to the big platform below. Exterminate the few scarabs there and then wall run and jump to get to another column. Remember; watch the shadows of the columns. Climb to the top of the column and from there, jump backwards to a column and then again to reach a platform. In the corner of the platform will be some very obvious white stone. Climb to the top of the stone and run vertically up the right wall, jump off backwards to grab a platform and on the platform is a sand cloud you can take.
From that platform, climb the column there and jump to the next column then jump backwards to a platform. On this platform, go left and drop down so you’re hanging on the ledge. Shimmy over to the left and drop down to the platform below using the indents in the walls. Slaughter the scarabs waiting for you there and wall run along the right side wall to grab the bar sticking out. Swing across 2 more poles to reach a platform, kill the scarabs and notice on the other side across from the railing will be a pillar. Climb over the railing, hang from it and then jump to the column. Slide down to the ground and you will have a pretty big fight with a lot of guards.
Be careful of the female (well…female looking) sand creatures because they may not attack a lot but when they do attack, they attack hard. The battle is long and keep an eye on your health, use the dagger to reverse time if you need to. Perhaps if you have a chance, you can drink water from the water fountain nearby
After the battle, it is more than likely you will need to use the water fountain. A save point will appear after the battle, save your game and watch the glimpse of the future.

The Secret Passage (10%)
------------------------

Get the sand cloud nearby and head to one of the bookcases. One of the 2 bookcases has a secret passage behind it, to move the bookcases simply stand in front of the case and press the ‘R’ shoulder pad button to make the prince grab the case. Move the control stick to make the prince push or pull.
Once you find the passageway, enter it and make your way down the stairs. Once at the bottom you have to wall run along the left wall and jump across to the opening. Grab the sand cloud and then head to the pressure plate in the floor. Press it in and a door will open for a short time. Enter the next room and the bridge will be demolished suddenly, to get to the other side of the bride you have to wall run along the right wall and jump over to the other side of the bride when you are far enough along the wall. To open the door you need to use the pressure plate, but the door shuts as soon as you step on the plate. To solve this, push the box onto the plate and this will keep it pressed down. Head into the doorway.
In the next room there will be a large centre structure but no way to get to it. To the right on the wall is a glowing white circle and below that is a lever you can pull outwards. Pull it out and a bridge will extend from the platform you are standing on and towards the centre of the room. When you let go of the lever, the bridge will retract at an alarming rate. Unfortunately, the only way across is to extend to bridge and run along it as fast as you can then jump really quickly. Once you get to the centre, a guard with an annoying (yet funny) voice shouts down to you about a defence system.
This bit is very annoying to do but it has to be done, luckily this walkthrough will make things a lot easier than when I did it. First off, press the glowing pressure plate to grab the first axle. Listen out for the guard, if he says something like: “That’s the first one, now get the next!” or perhaps later: “That’s two of them!” Then you know you are getting the right axles but if you get the wrong axle the guard will shout: “Careful! Think ahead!”
Now that you have the first axle (which is the correct one), go to the centre and push the pole sticking out the cylinder which has an arrow on it. Push this level once clockwise. Move to the other lever and push the pole clockwise once to move it up one space.
Move the other lever 3 times round anti-clockwise, this will make it go to the gap where it can move down. Go to the height-adjusting level and make the platform move down, this will light up a pressure plate. Use it to grab another axle. Move up one and spin the turning-lever twice clockwise, then move up twice. This will light up a third plate, step on it to grab the third axel. Finally, turn the turning-lever once clockwise and then use the other lever to go down once. Step on the final pressure plate, the guard will then tell you to go right to the top and match the axles with the gears. All you need to do is move the platform up one, spin the turning-lever once anti-clockwise and then go up one last time.
Now that the axles are in the gears and are activated, the guard wants you to do one last “favour”
Go towards the door with the orange symbol and climb up the ladder on the left wall. At the top, jump to the lever and pull it down.
The guard then yells that you and him have successfully activated the palace security system and after the guard says that the security system will kill all the sand creatures…the guard screams and makes gurgling noises…nice.
Go down the ladder and kill the sand creatures before heading through the doorway, up the stairs and to the save point.

The palace’s defence systems (12%)
----------------------------------

The spiked columns move past some very distinct floor tiles, the floor tiles are spike traps so if you run over them they will 100% most certainly hurt you a lot but if you walk slowly over them (tilt the Control Stick slightly) then you won’t get hurt. So you can either walk over the spiked floor tiles or you can dodge and evade the spiked poles and move around on the normal tiles…its up to you. I usually use the normal tiles.
After the spiked columns, go down the hallway and pull out a level under the orange marker on the wall. This will open the door to the next area AND activate some traps for you to get through, but you have to be quick because the door is slowly shutting. Go up the stairs and you will see more spiked columns and a ledge on the far side with a spinning, moving and deadly saw underneath it. Wall run to the ledge and pull yourself up so the saw doesn’t get you, walk along a bit and then jump across to the opposite ledge, drop down so the saw doesn’t get you. Once the saw has passed, pull yourself up and jump over the gap and land safely on the ground.
Follow the hallway around to another corridor with more ledges and spinning blades. Wall run to the ledge and walk along as far as possible so that you can jump to the other ledge. Walk along to the end of this one and jump down to the ground, head through the door. Unfortunately, if the door has shut then you will have to go back and pull the switch again – luckily if you have to go that, the traps are gone.
Go through the door (if you made it) and you will end up in a courtyard with some guards here and there. Slaughter the guards; use the water fountain if you need to and save the game.

A booby-trapped courtyard (14%)
-------------------------------

After saving, get the sand cloud in the corner near some broken rocks, and then head back to the centre. If you look, there will be a button on the wall with a white marker on it. To push the button: wall run up the wall and let the prince jump off the wall (don’t press A to make him to), the button is placed exactly where you need it and when the prince jumps off the wall, the button will be pressed. After the button is pressed, a column will rise from the centrepiece of the area but this column will only stay up for a little while. Run up the side of the column and climb up to the top, above you is a pole so jump up to grab it. Swing over to a little ledge, which is part of the ‘centrepiece’. Walk along a bit to the right and jump off to the ledge ahead.
Move along a bit and you will see a spinning blade contraption suddenly activate, this blade is quite tricky to get past and will need some excellent timing.
To get past it: You can roll underneath it as it spins over you but this requires lots of accurate timing so alternatively you could run along the wall on the left to get past it, this also requires timing but not so much.
After the first blade, head forward to see another spinning blade in the middle of moving spike columns. To do this, you will have to wall run on the left wall or you can roll along the ground several times to get past the blade and the columns.
Once you get past them, jump over to the right and grab a switch to open the door. Swing off the switch and enter the door, in this area will be a ladder high above some spiked floor panels.
Climb up the rocks and wall run so you’re just opposite the ladder, then jump off to grab the ladder. Spin to the other side of the ladder by moving the control stick left or right and climb up to the top.

Wall run across the first gap and then jump diagonally to the next walkway, grab the sand cloud on the right and then have a look at the rocks in the corner.
To get on them without getting stabbed by the spikes, run up the wall opposite the rocks and back flip off the wall to get to the rocks. Pull up, head through the opening and follow the hallway down until you get to the magic water to get a health increase. Once you are back on the walkway, go left across the wall and grab the poles to swing over to the crack in the wall. Shimmy along to the crack on the right and jump off backwards to the next walkway. Ahead of you will be a spinning saw going up and down on the wall. When the blade is at the bottom you have to wall run to the other side and jump backwards to the ledge. Do this and once on the other side: run up the wall there and grab the ledge above you. Walk to the right a little bit and jump off backwards to grab the pole behind you, from there you can swing up to the ledge and turn around. Another spinning saw awaits you, wait until it is on its way back up and run across to the next one. Do the same to this one and jump off the wall at the end to land on the ledge to the right. If you need health you can use the water fountain here.
Continue forwards, wall run past the blade to press the pressure switch so you can open the door. Wall run back to the door and enter it, in this room you have to pull the switch on the wall then head past the pit by wall running on the left wall.
Get past the spinning knife and then wall run up the left wall to press the switch. Do this again straight away and jump off backwards to the stone block that appears, climb the block.
Jump to grab the above ledge and climb up, go to the right a little and jump to the ledge on the other side. Keep jumping up until you reach the top and make you way to the left ledge, jump backwards from the ledge and run through to the door to see Farah fighting some enemies.

Don’t let the soldiers hit Farah, if she starts calling for help then go and help her. If she dies, you die (not literally but you have to restart if she dies).
Take out the regular red soldiers first by vaulting over them and slashing them twice as you come down, this will take them to the floor so you can finish them off with a stab of the dagger.
The blue soldiers will knock you down if you try to vault over them, but if you do this move you can wipe out the enemies easily:
Near a wall, move the control stick in the direction of the wall and press ‘A’ twice. This will make the prince vault over the nearest enemy (you can direct what enemy to vault over by tilting the control stick in that direction). As you vault over the enemy, press ‘B’ followed by ‘Y’ quickly. This will slash the enemy AND retrieve the enemy’s sand.
You can also do this move on red guards by vaulting over them normally and pressing ‘B’ and ‘Y’. This move doesn’t work on your father but it works on most enemies (except some bosses and some types of enemies).
After the little enemies are gone you can concentrate on hacking your father to pieces, keep vaulting over him and attacking…after a while he will go to the floor so you can finish him off the usual way with the dagger. NOTE: Be careful of your father’s feet swipe.
After the enemies are killed, drink from the water at the end of the hallway and save the game.

Death of a sand king (17%)
--------------------------

Follow Farah after the cut scene, jump across the gaps then jump down to the courtyard below when you reach the end and fight the enemies there. Farah will shoot a few arrows down at them to help you (but she doesn’t help much)…be careful because the enemies with the big hammers can’t be killed easily with the move mentioned above.
Kill them all, drink some water if needed and save the game.

I’ll try and find a way in (19%)
--------------------------------

After saving, go up the stairs and get the sand cloud on the right. Head left past the door and wall run to the other side where the ledge will crumble away. You’ll grab the ledge below you after the fall so pull yourself up. Wall run across to the next platform and then once more to reach a pole.
Jump from pole to pole till you reach another platform, from here turn around and wall run along the wall to the ledge below you. Once you land on it you have to jump across to the balcony where the turning lever control is. Push it around until it opens the door below you. Walk to the edge of the platform next to the two barrels and hang off the edge. Drop down to the ledge below and down once more to the ground.
This will start another battle with a lot of sand creatures, kill them all, and grab the sand cloud at the end of the bridge and head through the opened door.

Climbing the tower (21%)
------------------------

Climb up onto the rubble and wall run up the wall to grab the small ledge above. Wall jump off the wall to grab the bar in between the 2 pillars; keep swinging from bar to bar until you are at the other side of the room. Swing against the wall and jump off the wall to grab the next bar above.
Carry on swinging until you reach the final ledge, on the ledge: wall run to the left but make sure you avoid the spinning saw. Head into the opening on the other ledge; drop down the wall and go to the magic life fountain.
Run back to the ledge, past the saw again and climb the ladder. At the top, wall run past the saws to the next ledge. Wall run along the wall which has the yellow switch, you will press the switch as you run over it, be mindful of the saws.
On the ledge, wall run again to reach the top of the ladder again. Go through the open door.
Wall run the wall on your left to reach the other side of the hallway, go along the hallway and down the stairs to reach Farah (finally). Press the trigger to let her in and she will run away to open the next door for you, follow her through the door.
Carry on through the hall and through the next door to reach a room full of traps. To get past this, run down the ramp and jump to the next platform, watch out for the snapping jaws of spikes. Go to the edge of the platform, when the jaws have gone in; run up the wall and jump off to pull the lever. Farah will do the next lever so drop down and go up the newly moved ramp.
Pull the next lever, run around the sword pillars and dodge the spike tiles until you reach the other side of the hallway…quickly roll under the door. Wall run and walk around until you find Farah, from here; go down the ramp and leap to the next platform.
Dodge the spikes and wall run to the next ramp, jump to grab the lever above you. Farah will then pull the lever for the next level, run down the ramp and wall run to the next platform where you can pull another lever.
Farah will pull another lever, you then have to pull another lever and then meet up with her.

Let Farah disable one of the enemies, so you can have a quick kill before the onslaught of enemies come at you. Kill all the enemies, get the sand cloud on the far right side of the room. Use the water fountain if you need to.
Locate the 2 crates in the room, one on each side of the room, push the crates onto the 2 switches. Climb back up to Farah and save your game.

The Warehouse (24%)
-------------------

Climb the raised platform, wall run and jump off the switch. Drop down and got through the door, carry on the down the hall and you’ll end up outside in the Sultan’s zoo.
Go down the stairs and slaughter the sand creatures and then get the sand cloud, go to the end of the courtyard and save your game.

The Sultan’s Zoo (28%)
----------------------

Climb up onto the platform near the save point, climb the tree and jump onto the next landing. Fall down to the landing on the other side, jump to the bar that looks a lot like a tree branch. Swing from bar to bar until you jump down to the other side of the gate, activate the trigger to open the door and let Farah in.
Hack up the birds, let Farah do some of the killing because she is good at air targets. Walk inside the small room, move the box and let Farah crawl through the crack. She will then open the door to let you enter the gigantic birdcage. Inside, grab the pole immediately near the opening and jump from the pole, to the wall and jump to the above pole again, then jump to the middle pole and to a platform.
Wall run to the other platform on the other side of the cage and jump to grab the bar there.
Swing from bar to bar, get to the next platform. Climb the ladder, run to the next platform. Wall run clockwise, then grab the highest bar then swing to the last platform and out of the cage.
Jump to the ledge outside the cage, run up the cliff face and jump off to grab a tree branch. Swing off and to the top of the cage, turn the lever and jump to the save point.

Atop a bird cage (28%)
----------------------

Drop onto the small platform below you, then to the one below that. Cling to the lower edge of the platform and drop to the bar below. Turn around and swing yourself to the next bar, then to the platform in front of you. Wall run at the far side of the platform and jump off to grab the lever that will activate another lever, Farah will run past you casually.
Go through the opening on the ledge here and run down the hallway, slaughter the scarabs below. Climb onto the platform here and wall run to the lit tile where you have to jump to activate the next switch.
Drop from the switch and go into the cage. Retrieve the sand cloud and

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time....Enemy Walkthrough
====================================================

Hopefully, my next walkthrough will be the full walkthrough for the game. But that’s taking ages so in the mean time, I made this enemy walkthrough.

General Enemies
===============

Scarab - Weapon: Bite
---------------------

These little things attack in groups of 6 to 7, careful when they jump into the air because they are harder to attack. You'll find a lot of these bugs in caves or in small 'desert' rooms.

Bats - Weapon: Bite
-------------------

These can be really annoying if you are teetering on a ledge or hanging off a pole.
They attack in packs of 10 or 12 so your only chance at getting rid of these pests is to wait for them to come close to attack then lash out with your sword, you will be able to kill a few.
Once you get the pack of them down to 3 lone bats, they will fly off and leave you alone for good.

Big Birds - Weapon: Bite
------------------------

These are simply a pest.
They attack one at a time though I have had 2 attacking me once, which didn't end nicely for me.
Keep in the block stance and wait for them to attack first, once one of them has attacked and you blocked the attack, attack them quickly before they fly off.
Don't underestimate them though, even though they look quite clumsy.

Bludger - Weapon: Big Hammer
----------------------------

Nice easy kills as long as you don't let them attack you. They don't block much so you can hack away for a while before they decide to block.
Vault over them, attack them in mid-air and immediately after attacking: press the retrieve button. You can kill them instantly.

Dancer - Weapon(s): 2 Daggers
--------------------------

Easy kills again, you can vault over them and do the same attack + retrieve move as you do with the Bludgers. Be careful of their cartwheel attack, if they start attacking you with it, block, or if you can't block...rewind time.

Maharaja's guards - Weapon: Either a spear or a small sword
-----------------------------------------------------------

Super easy kills. Mess around and practice your combat moves on them in the first part of the game, but don't get too casual with them.

Sand Creature with a purple hat - Weapon: A hatchet
---------------------------------------------------

Don't see it much but when you do see it, you can slaughter it almost as easily as the Maharaja's guards. Use the same Vault + Attack + Retrieve move as with the Bludgers and Dancers.

Sand Creature with blue baggy trousers - Weapon: Big sword
----------------------------------------------------------

These can be very tough in groups. Avoid the ground level sweeping attack, if you can jump over it...the attack will take out other enemies. You can't vault over this guy and it blocks frequently, so simply run in, attack and run away before it attacks back.
Split up groups of them and deal with them individually.

Red Pikeman - Weapon: Long pike
-------------------------------

There is an easier blue version of this thing. The red version is tougher with blocking and it knocks you down painfully if you try to vault over it. If you can manage to vault off the wall and over it, then do the Attack + Retrieve move, you’ll be able to kill it instantly.
Careful of the low sweeping attack and avoid large groups of them cornering you.

Blue Pikman – Weapon: Long Pike
--------------------------------

A lot easier than their red coloured cousins. You can Vault + attack + retrieve over them without any hassle.

Chain Creature - Weapon: A chain
--------------------------------

These things are fairly easy to dispatch. Avoid their chain because once you let them start swinging, they are hard to stop. Focus on killing these first before anything else.

Sand Creature that looks similar to Bludger - Weapon: Spiked club
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Another easy kill, Vault + Attack + Retrieve your way through these.

Special Enemies
===============

The Prince's Father - Weapon: Sword
-----------------------------------

You can't vault over him, he blocks a lot, his attacks hurt and it takes ages to kill him. Great.
To deal with this battle, take quick attacks at him and then run away. Be really mindful of the ground sweeping attack. The attack takes a little build up so while he is raising his sword to attack low: strike him, he may block your attack but at least you stopped his attack.
He is so slow that you can dodge his attacks with relative ease, also avoid using your sand in this battle, save it for later.

Vizier - Weapon: Clones of himself armed with sticks (!strong sticks!)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

If you can counter attack, do it on the clones because they block a lot. Otherwise just block and attack, you'll be able to land one or two hits on them before they attack again.
When the Vizier is coughing, attack him, after that it will be easy to beat him and the game.
