1. Weapons
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Crash Nitro Kart offers a large array of weapons, but I was very pleased to find out a secondary function on ALL weapons. To get a secondary function you must collect 10 fruits, witch will super charge your weapon. Fruits can be found in certain crates, scattered through-out the track. You’ll know if the crate contains fruit, because these crates bounce. Once you collect 10 fruits your weapon automatically becomes juiced, a clever word for supercharged. Weapon Boxes have a question mark upon them.
The weapons below are in no particular order, and contain a in depth description of their effect, and secondary functions:
>>>>>>>> Homing missile
I homing missile is a great weapon for short or long distant attacks. I must say though, the closer the enemy the better the effect. The homing missile basically homes in on your opponent, without much hassle.
Super Charged: The homing missile will have a much greater effect, and travels twice the speed of light. There is no way of escaping a Juiced Missile!
>>>>>>>> Bowling Bomb
A Bowling bomb is much like a green shell for Mario kart. It will go in a straight line, and when it hits any thing it will explode. Useful for long straights, but not good in curvy areas, as the bowling bomb doesn’t bounce off walls!
Super Charged: As with the homing missile, a super charged bowling ball bomb will go a lot faster, and cause a larger blast, knowing down multiple enemies – literally.
>>>>>>>> TNT
Drop this little baby, and watch your foes run into it. It’s basically a trap, but its great for making your foes lose valuable race time. If TNT lands on your head, jump like a mad man until it comes off.
Super Charged: The TNT will turn into a Nitro TNT; if you get hit by this then you’ve lost the race. Perfect for taking out all the enemies behind you!
>>>>>>>> Tornado
The Tornado is a good weapon, which takes out all the people in front, and penalizes the person in the lead, by slowing them down. Its perfect if you not doing very well: laugh the tornado, and over take everybody!
Super charged: A bigger faster Tornado, causing more slow-down throughout the
Track!
>>>>>>>> Static Orb
The Static orb is the most annoying trap in the game! Deploy this, and if your foe should land in your orb his weapon will change from good, usually to a bad weapon – and make your opponent go very slow for a long period of time! Wait it gets worse:
Super Charged: A super charged static orb will make you unpopular amongst your friends! Super Charged orbs are near impossible to avoid, and will make you go even slower, for a longer period of time. Not good if you land on it!
>>>>>>>> Ice Mine
Another Trap weapon: When a foe land on the trap mine a large block of ice goes around them, making them go slower until the ice melts.
Super charged: It takes a whole lot longer for the ice to melt, and you’ll be slipping all over the place. Best used charged.
>>>>>>>> Voodoo Mask!
My favorite, the voodoo mask will make you invincible for a short period of time, making you go a lot faster, and you damage every player you touch. If you’re playing a team game, all your team will become invulnerable too.
Super Charged: Lasts longer, and you’ll go faster.
>>>>>>>> Turbo Boost
Self explanatory, you’ll get a short fast boost, allowing you do a fast over take, but you shouldn’t use it when your going round a corner, or you may fly off the stage, or crash.
Supercharged: A longer and faster boost, far more useful for overtaking!
>>>>>>>> The Clock
The rarest weapon in the game, rarer that a game made by rare! Using the clock will disable everybody’s weapon (except yours!) and make everybody drive slow, whilst you drive fast and laugh. Again, another weapon that will make you very unpopular – if your luck enough to find one!
Super Charged: The clock lasts longer, and makes foes drive even slower than before!
>>>>>>>> Invisible
This is not available in race mode, because it wouldn’t really work well – but in battle mode it works great against your friends! It turns you into a transparent blur, allowing you to sneak up on your enemy un detected!
Super charged: Invisibility lasts a lot longer – and you are completely invisible…
>>>>>>>> Super engine!
Another Battle mode exclusive! The super engine is like the golden mushroom in Mario kart – you can have about 10 boosts in a row!
Super Charged: More boosts in one engine – much faster boosts!
>>>>>>>> Red Eyed Missile
The best battle mode exclusive weapon by far – Park up your kart, use this missile and you can control it – like a kart! The all you have to do is find an enemy and crash into the bandicoot.
Super Charged: Somehow a supercharged missile feels easier to steer – and it also goes a hell of a lot faster – so your enemies will never escape! A battle favorite.
4. Tips & Tricks
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When racing look for a large red arrow, with a yellow outline, normally you can go underneath these arrows, and you will have access to a shortcut – which could win you the race.

Jump around corners, to handle them better.

Locate the two jump buttons on your controller: now press one jump button, and then the other jump button – repeat this 3 or 4 times for a speed boost.

The Bouncy boxes contain fruit – collect 10 fruits, and your weapon will be supercharged. Each box contains a random amount of fruits – but you’ll never find 10 in one box.

Special weapon boxes contain 3 weapons as apposed to 1. So you’ll have triple the blast!

If you are lucky enough to drive through one of the few Activating boxes then the traps in front of you will harm your enemies, and not you – a handy box indeed.

If you drive near you team mates, listed above – special things will happen. You will get better weapons, very frequently – depart from your team though – and your on your own!

I think that’s it for my tips, no more spring to mind. I have taught you all I know – now go forth and kick some bandicoot!

5. The end
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, this guide has now come to an eventful end. You should have learnt which character are best for you – how to unlock new character and levels, what weapons do, and what they do when you collect 10 fruits, and you should have learnt some handy tips to have an advantage over your friends. If you haven’t learnt any of that, then you must be reading the end, before you’ve read the guide!
I hope you enjoyed this Crash Nitro Kart guide, I really hope you understood everything in this guide and I really really hope you but this guide to some use: especially in multiplayer!
Thanks very much for reading this guide.
