If you have just brought a DS, you probably won't want to read this guide and I don't blame you. But for those of you who want to get the most out of your new shiny handheld, read on... Ready?
NINTENDO DS SPECIFICATIONS:

PLAYING DS GAMES:
Playing the DS's stunning new 3D games couldn't be more simple, just insert the game card, select the DS game option and you will be able to play unique games using touch screen, voice command, and an improved button combination. For most games, there will be many control options, like giving you the choice to play with the styles or use the buttons, or having a control option for left and right handed people.
PLAYING OLDER GAMES:
You will be able to play GBA games, but not colour or original games on the DS and you will be able to choose weather you want the game to be in the top or bottom screen by going on Settings, then Options and GBA Mode. Note: You will not be able to play GBA games on Multiplayer.
With the Pictochat software built into the DS, you will be able to communicate with other people, either by wirelessly linking up, or using the free WiFi service, which will be avalible soon.
You will be able to play against other people in three ways:
1. Link up wirelessly if you and your friend have the same game.
2. Link up via the 'DS download play' if only one of you has the game.
3. Link up to other poeople around the world using the free WiFi service, which will be up and running soon.
