PERFECT DARK – WEAPONS CACHE LOCATIONS

Anyone who has got the R-Tracker cheat (which isn’t really
difficult) will notice that some blue dots appear in the radar
during the solo missions. These are none other than weapons
caches. A series of cunningly hidden weapons. Want to know how
to get each and every one of them, as well as various other cool
weapons? Oh, go on then…

DATADYNE CENTRAL: -
Difficulty: Perfect Agent
Location: a small room next to the staircase on the Second Office
floor How to get it: find the programmer as usual and point your gun at him. Start leading him to the computers but let him run away shortly after. He’ll open the locked room, allowing you to getyour hands on the Laptop Gun! Handy!

DATADYNE RESEARCH: -
Difficulty: Any
Location: A metal container near the start. Go through the
maintenance panel that the hoverbot opens and drop down the gap
behind the glass. The box is around the corner from there.
How to get it: Get to the box without being seen.

Difficulty: Any
Location: Weapons Testing Room. Either drop down the hatch (use
the red computer near the start to open it) in the large room
with the entrance to the isotope, or go down the lift in the
first of the labs.
How to get it: Easy! Shoot the user! (BUT NOT THE SCIENTIST)

Difficulty: any
Location: isotope room
How to get it: there is a proximity mine at the back of the
isotope room, but you’ll have to be quick.

DATADYNE EXTRACTION: -
Difficulty: Any
Location: Fifth guard downstairs.
How to get it: Shoot each of the first five guards (not the ones
behind the barricade in front of the stairs) in the head and the
fifth will be carrying a Magnum.

Difficulty: Any
Location: Cassandra’s secret escape route
How to get it: On Cassandra’s desk will be a grenade. Throw it
into the left corner (left if you are facing the doorway from
behind the desk) and the wall will open revealing a Dragon at the
foot of the ladder.

CARRINGTON VILLA: -
Difficulty: Any
Location: the left crate on the helipad.
How to get it: Shoot it until it explodes and you’ll be rewarded
with a Devastator. Nice!

Difficulty: Perfect Agent
Location: Daniel’s shower
How to get it: in the shower (the bedroom by the stairs that lead
from the second floor to the top floor) is a Sniper Rifle.

Difficulty: Any
Location: the guard atop the helipad entrance.
How to get it: Shoot the guard on top of the wall by the helipad
within 38 seconds and you’ll get twin CMP 150s!

CHICAGO: -
Difficulty: any
Location: the dumpster down the second alleyway.
How to get it: Push the dumpster near the barrels and shoot them.
It should blow up the dumpster, revealing a briefcase. Pick it up
to receive the bomb spy.

Difficulty: any
Location: the night club
How to get it: use the X-ray scanner while standing at the night
club door. You’ll see a guard. Shoot near him (NOT AT HIM) with
the magnum and he’ll open the door. There’s a Falcon on the
bar.

G5 BUILDING: -
Difficulty: any
Location: the first room
How to get it: Weird one, this! Shoot the first guard, but punch
the second. He’ll drop a crossbow. Hmm…

Difficulty: Special or Perfect Agent
Location: At the top of the stairs at the end of the level.
How to get it: If you put the remote mine on the UPPER door in
the previous level, there’ll be some N-Bombs waiting at the top
of the stairs.

AREA 51 INFILTRATION: -
Difficulty: any
Location: near the Aerial / Hoverbike
How to get it: Not very secret this one. Once you’ve attached the
Comms rider to the aerial, several guard will come out of the
nearby door. The one in a dark brown/white uniform has two
MagSecs.

AREA 51 RESCUE: -
Difficulty: any
Location: the control room
How to get it: Turn right after you use the first lift and walk
up to the door. Using the X-ray scanner to see where the guard is
on the other side, shoot near him, or at him, to get him to open
the door. Once he has, go up the ramp to the left and follow the
path to the lift. Go up the lift and follow the corridor to the
control room. There will be two Phoenix’s on the bench by the
window. ONLY WORKS IF YOU DO NOT KILL THE TECHNICIAN WITH THE
LIFT KEY ON THE PREVIOUS LEVEL (KNOCK HIM OUT INSTEAD).

Difficulty: any
Location: From the start, take the first right (this will take
you around the back of the crates) and follow this path. After
the second left, look at the bottom of the crates you’ve been
walking around.
How to get it: see that round container in the bottom of the
crate mountain. Shoot it to find another Falcon

AREA 51 ESCAPE: -
Difficulty: any
Location: the lab with the two gassed doctors from the cutscene
How to get it: there are two Falcons by their gassed bodies, but
be quick if you don’t want to lie down next to them!

Difficulty: any
Location: containment area
How to get it: Get Elvis to the Containment area within 36
seconds and you’ll find three remote mines waiting for you.

AIR BASE: -
Difficulty: any
Location: cable car arrival point
How to get it: Simple. There is a box of proximity mines there.
Just pick it up.

AIR FORCE ONE: -
Difficulty: any
Location: the two ornate doors in the room at the bottom of the
ramp leading to the president’s floor.
How to get it: knock out the guard in this room to get one
keycard, then knock out the guard patrolling through this room to
get the other. You can now open the two doors and get twin
Cyclones.

CRASH SITE: -
Difficulty: any
Location: Elvis
How to get it: Go to Elvis before completing any objectives and
he’ll give you a handy proximity mine.

Difficulty: any
Location: Trent Easton
How to get it: Disarm him as he runs away from the president and
you’ll get his Golden Magnum!

PELAGIC II: -
Difficulty: any
Location: the open space beyond the entrance to the Power room.
How to get it: if you can get through the first few rooms to this
room without the alarm going off, one of the guards will have two
Falcons for you.

DEEP SEA: -
Difficulty: any
Location: the first room of cloaked guards
How to get it: shoot all of them before Elvis does and you’ll
find a proximity mine

CARRINGTON INSTITUTE: -
Difficulty: any
Location: the information room (Grimshaw’s Hacker Central)
How to get it: shoot the guards before either of the scientists
get killed and Grimshaw will drop a Devastator. Not so annoying
now, is he?

ASSAULT SHIP: -
Difficulty: any
Location: the room beyond the cryogenically frozen Skedar.
How to get it: Proof that alien life is not intelligent! There’s
a Slayer just LYING AROUND!

Difficulty: any
Location: the bridge
How to get it: As secret as the double MagSecs in Area 51! One of
the Skedar has double Maulers.

BATTLE SHRINE: -
Difficulty: any
Location: the entrance to the bottomless ravine.
How to get it: shoot the two unmarked pillars with the Devastator
and you’ll find two Phoenix’s waiting for you at the top of the
ledge down to the ravine.

Satisfied with the knowledge that you can now find EVERY weapon
hidden in the N64’s GREATEST SHOOT-EM-UP? Well, you should be.
Now go out there, find those guns and begin a violent,
trigger-happy rampage. Muhahahahahahaha….ahem!
