ATSUMARE!! MADE IN WARIO - GAMECUBE - MULTIPLAYER WALKTHROUGH

For those of you who haven't imported Atsumare!! Made in Wario, it will be released in Europe next year under the name of Wario Ware. Those of you who do have will know that the main focus of this game is on multiplayer; thanks to frantic action coupled with some highly innovative mini-games, this proves to be a superb party game, so this walkthrough will take you through each multiplayer mode and help you master it.

JIMMY T'S MINI-GAME
This is the simplest of all the multiplayer games, and requires raw skill. Your characters will start dancing, and whomever the spotlight picks (it can be more than one person) must complete a mini-game to keep their crowd happy. If you don't complete the mini-game, a part of your crowd will leave, and if you lose 3 mini-games, your stage will be closed down. It's a simple case of practising at mini-games and all down to your own skill.

WARIO'S MINI-GAME
Probably one of the best multiplayer mini-games, you must simply take turns going through a run of 15 mini-games, completing as many as possible. But that's not all, the rest of the player's can also distract you by moving around on-screen. Being good at getting in the way is the real key to success, and you can use two technique that make this much easier; jumping out towards the screen (by pressing B), thus taking up much more room, and jumping (by pressing A), causing the screen to shake when you land. You'll need to learn when to use both of these to win. It's best to jump towards the screen (with B) when you're concealing something vital to completing the mini-game. For instance, when the player must press A when a power gauge is red, try to get in front of the gauge, making it impossible for them to complete the task. When you player must complete a mini-game requiring precision (like the needle-threading one), using A to make the screen shake is the best possible time to use it. When you yourself have to complete mini-games, just try your best to remember what you have to do on each one and ignore the other players scattered around the screen.

9-VOLT'S MINI-GAME
The e-Reader game is the most complex of the lot, and does take a while to master. The must take turns choosing cards (containing different mini-games) from a pile, the whoever picks the e-Reader card must play all of the mini-games previously picked. If you win all of the mini-games, the cards will go onto your pile, otherwise they'll be placed on the Pool pile. Then, the next person to get a clean run of mini-games, without losing, will also get all the cards on the Pool pile. But it's not all about mini-games, oh no, you'll also have to master a technique known only as 'Stealing' to succeed. While another player is in the middle of a mini-game, you can run over to their pile and steal on of their cards. You must press A to try to steal it, then whenever the power gauge (which appears once you start trying to steal) reaches red, press A. Keep doing this and you should get a card over to your pile without any problems. Also, if the other playing is taking part in a number of mini-games, you may be able to swipe 2, maybe 3 cards. If no one wins the pool, they'll be one final mini-game (without a time-limit), in which you must compete head-to-head, again, this is all down to skill, just take your time to figure out what it is.

DR. CRYGOR'S MINI-GAME
In this very fun multiplayer mode, you must compete in a number of different mini-games, and when another person is taking part in one, try to blow up the balloon towering overhead until it pops. It's a very simple game, but still extremely fun. Because the mini-games are very easy, it's hard to lose a lot in a row, meaning your mates will breeze past the first few goes. But your best bet is to keep losing until the balloon is at a critical state, ready to pop at any second. A siren noise and the screen flashing red will indicate this. At this point, it's best to simply complete the next mini-game (which should be no problem) then begin pumping at the balloon yourself. In no time the balloon will explode, causing you to win the game with ease.

ANA & KAT'S MINI-GAME
This is the oddest of all the mini-games, in which you must balance on turtles to win. You start off by standing on one turtle each, and going head-to-head in mini-games. If you lose a mini-game, the other player gets a chance to add to your pile of turtles by taking part in a 1-player mini-game. If they fail, though, a small turtle will be added to their pile instead. Yes, a bit strange, but it seems to work, and it's simple to master. Obviously, being good mini-games helps, because then there's less chance you'll fall to ground, thus losing the game. What you really have to master is staying on the turtles; which can be done by moving the 3D-Stick left and right. Just remember, don't move it suddenly, just gently move it to the opposite side you're falling to in order to succeed. When it starts to get erratic, the best idea is to quickly move from left to right, so as you're not falling to one side for too long. Once you master this, you'll have no problems with this mini-game at all.

DRIBBLE & SPITZ' MINI-GAME
My personal favourite of all the mini-game's is this board game-esque multiplayer mode, in which you must claim as many 'blocks' as your own, by completing mini-games. The number on each block corresponds as to how many shots it needs to be taken. For instance, if one has 2 on it, you shoot it once when you choose it, then you'll have to complete a mini-game to shoot it a second time. It's best to go for '1' blocks as much as possible; because they only need to be shot once, and you won't have to complete any mini-games to claim it as your own. If not, your best bet is to go as far to the side as possible, and wait for your mates to claim the blocks in the centre. Because you have one on the side, you can try to take one to the opposite side, thus claiming all the blocks in between the two as yours. If one of your mates has got a fair few blocks of his own, try your best to one either side and steal them. It's very simple yet hugely effective, making you a master in minutes.

MONA'S MINI-GAME
This is a very simple mini-game and shouldn’t take much to master. You simply take turns competing in mini-games, then get judged on who was the best. The only twist is in between playing mini-games, you must tap A as fast as possible to jump to the front of the queue, and stop the most recent player from getting another go. If you're good at button-bashing, you're sorted!

ORBULON'S MINI-GAME
This is very different to all the other multiplayer modes in that it's the only one which requires working together. One player is nominated to take part in the mini-games (or randomly chosen if you want), but there is one twist, the screen is completely pitch black. The other player's must use a spotlight to help the mini-game player complete as many challenges as possible. In a similar way that you would in Wario's mini-game, you must try to cover the most important sections of the mini-game, like a power-gauge if there is one. Just use your techniques from that multiplayer mode to master this one.

Well done, you're now officially a master on Made in Wario, possibly one of the craziest games ever released. But don't worry, your hard work has gone to good use. After thoroughly playing each mini-game, you'll be rewarded with 4 brand new ones, including skipping and paper-plane racing!
