Retro Game Walkthroughs for Pink Panther (Game Boy Advance)

Welcome to Hobbo’s comprehensive Pink Panther walkthrough. Hopefully this will ensure you never get stuck in the panther’s krazy adventures. Enjoy!!

Level 1 – Ship icon
You start at the bottom of a ship’s cargo hold. Make your way up through the crates, collecting all Pink coins as you go. Get rid of the sailor and continue up to the deck. Here, your first task is to feed the bananas to the ape. At the first crate jump up to your left, and then up to your right onto the banquet scene to find the bananas. Now to find the ape. This is relatively simple, just head right, while climbing all the stairs you come across. Give the bananas to the ape, then go through the now opened doorway to find the bombs. Grab a bomb and head back down to the area where you emerged from the cargo hold. Now head right again at ground level, to find a crate. Drop the bomb by the crate and run to a safe distance.

Now go back to where you got the bomb from, and jump up to the left. There is a turkey on a table guarded by someone. Grab the turkey and head left past the guard and climb the ship’s funnels. This is the longest route, but will get you loads more Pink coins. You emerge from a funnel near the beginning again, so head down to the place where you blew the crate, and follow the deck to the right. Mind the sailors, and give the turkey to the bloke guarding the next area.

Head down into the ship, enter the middle doorway, and you will emerge next to a bloke guarding a key. Leave it for the moment, and head along right, up to the top deck again. Continue right, leaping over the black thingies and grab a bomb from the end. Now run as far to the left as you can go, and jump on the sun-lounger to spring up a few levels. Go right and drop the bomb by a crate, naturally, keeping your distance. Now you can go back and get the key. When you have it, head back to where you blew the crate and continue leaping up the levels until you reach the exit door.




Level 2 – Roller-skates icon
A brief affair this one. The panther is on roller skates and the only key you need to use to complete the level is jump, although you can use the down key to gain extra speed if you want to. The first bit is simple enough, jump over a few section of broken track, jump over stop signs, jump over railway workers etc. Be careful as you enter the second tunnel though, as you will need to jump almost instantly to board the train successfully. There are health packs available too, which you can leap for if you need them. Grab the key at the end to finish the level.




Level 3 – Digger icon
Now the scene is a building site. Pick yourself up and right, jumping up all platforms and constructions you come across to find all the pink coins. Soon enough you will see a bomb sign pointing downwards. Take the low path to the right, and you will have to jump over some barbed wire to reach the bomb. Where you have to put it is quite far away, so don’t waste any time, and head back to the bomb sign instantly. Once there, jump on the platform to your left, and keep jumping up until you reach the mattress, at which point you will get enough air to take you over the building on the right. Fall down to ground level, and just to the right there is a pile of planks. Drop the bomb there.

Now the way is clear, head back to the bomb sign, and just to the right of it, on ground level is a builder with his lunch. Grab his burger and follow the same route as before back to the blown up planks. Jump up all the platforms until you emerge into daylight once more, and dash right. Leap over the swinging demolition ball and give the burger to the dog. Jump along the platforms, heading right again, until you reach the shop. Snatch the tissue, and head either right or left, your choice, they both work, and just keep jumping upwards until you reach the top of the wooden scaffolding. Give the tissue to the workman in the toilet, and he will emerge, bearing the end-of-level key.

When he puts the key down, Grab it and run right. This is another tall wooden scaffold, so just keep jumping. This one is a little tricky, especially as the workman will jump straight off the edge if he gets the key back off you, not giving you a second chance at stealing it back. Reach the final door and watch the funny animation.




Level 3 – Pyramid icon
Your first task is to blow up a box of explosives, and to do that you’ll need a candle. Jump up onto the platforms, and follow them right as far as you can go, then drop down to ground level. Through the door to your right, you’ll find your candles, and their guard. Grab the candles and head all the way back to the beginning, and use them on the box of explosives. You can now access the bombs. Grab a bomb and jump upwards as far you can go, before heading right, to the top door. There is a pillar blocking the entrance, so lay your bomb down here and retreat.

Next, make your way to the tomb that is directly above where you got the bomb from. Snatch the blue gem and sprint back to the opening you have just cleared. This is quite a long chase; so make good use of the various hiding places throughout. Once you have entered the large tomb, drop down the first shaft, and head right, leaping over all the spike pits. At the very bottom right of the tomb is the door that requires the blue gem. This door will now open.

Finally you need the key to open the exit. Enter the tomb you have just opened, and climb up to the top. Grab the key, and make use of the drop shaft on the left to make a quick getaway. Head back through the larger tomb, and back into daylight. Now simply find the exit, which is directly between the where you got the bomb, and where you got the candles, on ground level.




Level 5 – Man-eating plant icon
This one is reasonably challenging, but also relatively short, which is merciful. The objective is to place a bomb on each one of the plant’s tentacles without being eaten. Do this by moving only when the plant has his back turned, and making good use of the cover that trees and shrubs afford you. Don’t feel obliged to move just because the bomb is ticking down fast, but rather lay the bomb down anywhere and waste it rather get yourself eaten, which necessitates a level restart. You’ll whiz through in no time.




Level 6 – Ice-skates icon
Once again a short level, but significantly more tricky than the last roller-skating one. This time you are skating through a town, with policemen and traffic aplenty. The two points to look out for are the giant rolling snowball in the park, and also the end section, where you have to make a few dodgy leaps of faith onto some coloured bunting. Quite simply, your motto should be: ‘When in doubt, jump!’




Level 7 – Tropical sunset icon
Now we’re back to the Stone Age. Your first task is to put out a fire that is blocking one of your routes. Head along to the right, staying on the ground level. When you reach the end, jump up and head left, before jumping up again to enter the caveman’s house, who is, funnily, watching TV. Grab his bowl of water and retrace your steps back to where you leapt over a volcano. Follow the path to the right above the volcano to find the fire.

The next step is to fetch dino eggs and blow up the stone slabs blocking your next routes. Continue along the path where you put out the fire, and grab an egg from the cave within. Dash out, noting that you only have 15 seconds this time, and place it next to the slab where you started. Fetch another egg, and drop down to the right of where you started to find another slab.

This next bit is quite long, so get ready, and feel free to take a practise run before you attempt it for real. Go into the second entrance you opened and jump up and right to enter a cave with a dinosaur and a bone. Grab the bone and exit cave swiftly, jumping directly up to find yourself at the first opened entrance. Go left through it and follow the top path as long as it goes, before jumping up on the icy ledges at the end. These can be quite tricky due to their slipperiness, so take a moment to hide in the nearby bush, and give yourself a head-start. Once you have climbed them, head right, jumping carefully over the icicles. Run down the slopes the other side, and climb the steps to give the bone to the caveman.

Now you can grab the key from the caveman within the compound, and fall off the edge to your right. Head back left to the icy ledges, and climb up, but this time not to the very top. Only jump so far as the second ledge from the top, and you can follow this ledge to the right. Jump over the platform to find the exit.




Level 8 – Dracula icon
Note that the place where you start is also the exit, this will save you time looking for it later on. Head to the right, over the first chandelier, then drop down just before the second one. Grab the candle, and head back the way you came. Jump up and to the left, then enter the door and use the candle on the barrel. Back through the door for the explosion, then return to collect the goodies. Now head on past both chandeliers, keeping on the highest platforms you can. Follow the path until you reach the door, and go through it. Now you are faced with loads more doors. Go through the one on the far left, and then in the next room, the one on the far right. Pick up the ticket. Return the way you came, and this time take the lower route past the second chandelier. Use your ticket on the skeleton, and he will let you past.

Jump up through the platforms, using spider webs to jump even higher, and at the top head left. You will now see the pillow which you need for Dracula’s alarm clock, but don’t take it yet. Firstly, take a candle from the left and go and open the way by blowing the barrel. Now take the pillow and run along the opened passage, then drop down into familiar territory. Head right again, past both chandeliers, hop over the small platforms above the lava and go into the next door. Put the pillow over Drac’s alarm clock.

Now you can take the key. Grab it and run fast because Dracula doesn’t hang about. Exit the door again to find yourself in a different place. Jump on the tree to your right and up the steps to your left, then drop down and go through the door. This will bring you out to the right of where you enter Dracula’s room, so head left, avoiding the swinging axes if possible. Return all the way left to the starting point, and use the key on the gate to complete the level.




Level 9 – Dinosaur icon
The objective here is to make the huge dinosaur swallow three bombs. The method for doing this is by placing a bomb together with a bone on the top ledge, which he will swallow, although this is made difficult by the boulders he insists on rolling down at you. Also, the timer on bomb is quite short, so you don’t have much time to get both items there.

You firstly want to bring the bone up from ground level, and place it fairly near the top level without actually being on it. Then drop down, grab a bomb, and bring that up to the top level. Now grab the nearby bone, place it on the bomb, and jump away fast to avoid being munched. Repeat this techniques three times and you will defeat the dinosaur. Head back down to ground level to get the key and finish the level.




Level 10 – Roadworks icon
Another short roller-skating level, but harder this time. You now have to use your down key to duck demolition balls, as well as make some finely timed jumps. It is easier than ever to fall to your doom, as the drops are strategically placed. Hence, it is not always advisable to jump whenever you feel like it, as this can cost you dearly. I can’t say much more than that really, just be on your toes. One hint when climbing hills is to constantly jump, as that will make you climb them faster than usual.




Level 11 – Gangster icon
Now you are put into a city of gangsters, most of which are armed with guns, so keep moving otherwise you won’t last long. You start outside a green bar, enter it and nick the bottle. Exit the bar and head left as far as you can go. Jump up to your right and keep going, jumping up all ladders and platforms you come across. When you can go no further right, leap straight up until you reach the top platform, then head left again. Enter the first door, and once in the room, exit straight through the other door. Keep going until you get to the top, then drop down the left edge, head right, and enter the first window you see. Give the bottle to the gangster.

Now you need to collect a sack of money. Make your way back to where you started from and go right. Enter the first door to find the money. Now retrace the exact same steps you took to deliver the last item, only this time you want fall off the final ledge and head left, not right. Jump onto the canvas and leap up to you right onto the rooftops. Keep going right for a while, and jump into the drainpipe that you come across. Now head right until you arrive at a large door, where you can hand over the money and be let in.

Go upstairs as far as you can go and take a bomb. Dive through the window and fall off the ledge to your left. Go into the shop and run upstairs. Exit through the window and jump straight upward. Go through the window there, climb up the steps and exit the top window. Now head right until you come to the planks, where you can lay your bomb.

Now for the final bit. Go upstairs, and grab the key guarded by the gangster, and immediately exit through the window just behind. Jump left into the drainpipe. Now head left, jumping over the truck, and you will find yourself back where you started. Continue going left to the end, jump up, and come back to the right. Rather than go up the diagonal steps to the right, climb up the vertical steps above you, then leap to your right, where you will find the exit door.




Level 12 – Baddie icon
This is it, the final level. To win it, you simply have to bomb the baddie six times. Initially that seems rather easy, but things soon become more difficult. Firstly, the sure fire way to make sure all your bombs hit him, is by picking one up straight away, and placing it on the right hand ledge that he jumps to. Now don’t wait for the bomb to get him, which it will, but head back down, and grab another bomb as soon as it appears. This way, you will always get the timing right, as long as you pick up the bombs as soon as they appear and deliver them to the right hand ledge.

Things get harder as he soon sends men after you, and these can shoot as well, so either spin them, or preferably try to avoid them totally. Another thing to bear in mind is that you should not attempt to deliver the bombs immediately. Wait until the fuse has only ten seconds remaining when you jump to the right hand ledge, otherwise he could still be there, and shoot you. When you have got him six times, just sit back and watch the concluding sequence.
