WARIO WARE - BOSS WALTHROUGH - GAMEBOY ADVANCE

After going through the high-octane levels that accompany each boss on Wario Ware, Inc for the GBA, it can be quite a challenge to beat them. Instead of having a 3-second time limit like in the normal mini-games, you have as much time as you like (unless otherwise specified) to dispose of the final evil, so it's no surprise that they're a bit tougher than usual.

BOSS 1 - PUNCHBAG
ATTACK 1
In this punchbag's first attack (if you can even call it an attack), it swings back towards you after you punch it and as it builds momentum, tries to swing around to your opposite side. In order to beat it, you must keep your eye on Wario at all times. As the punchbag swings towards Wario, make sure you try to hit as it's just on an angle. If you try to wait until it goes vertical, Wario will most likely get hit and lose a life. When he bag swings around once, you must deliver the final blow, the best technique is to wait until it just enters the light and then press A, any earlier and it'll catch Wario.
ATTACK 2
On the 2nd difficulty level, things start to get a little harder. Once again, use the same technique of focusing on Wario and waiting until it's just still on angle before going for the hit should work. The main swing you have to watch out for is the penultimate one. You'll most likely think it's going to swing back around, but just before it does it drops back towards you, with a lot of speed. Don't panic and mash your GBA in sheer despair, instead hit at the same place you hit the others. Again, the final punch should be taken just as it enters the light.
ATTACK 3
It seems the punchbag has got heavier tenfold in the third difficulty, meaning it'll take a lot more punches before you see the end of it. Don't worry if you think the punchbag is going too slow to hit, just punch it at the very same angle, because you won't get a chance to hit at a vertical position. Just use the same technique and experience from the previous two attacks in order to win. The same timing should be used for the final blow, too.

BOSS 2 - BOXER
This simple, and rather stupid, boxer has only one attack; his punch. Thoughout the 'battle', he'll do a little charge before trying to strike you down with his fists of fury. In order to beat him, you must take complete advantage of the dodge buttons (left and right). To hit your boxing foe, wait for him to go for a charge, then as soon as the sound effect finishes, dodge his attack and make one of your own moves by pressing the A button, thus depleting one of his hearts. Repeat this 3 times and you'll be successful in no time.

BOSS 3 - SPACE INVADER
SECTION 1
The best way to get past the first section of this boss is just to hold down the fire button and spray bullets at all of the enemies you can. On the easiest difficulty you shouldn’t have any problems. All you have to do is go for as many yellow foes as possible, in order to get power ups. On the harder levels it's best to watch out for the red enemy ships; instead of simply flying towards you, they'll fire bullets at you too. Focusing on these and the yellow ships is the best idea, only go for the blues if you really get the chance to. The second and fourth waves of enemies are the main two to watch out for; to get rid of the ships that weave in and out of the screen, simply blast up towards the middle of screen and they'll all fly into your bullets. You'll only need to worry about dodging the red ships fire. The fourth ships are the toughest you come across; you'll have to defeat them as quick as possible because they'll try to dive bomb onto you, which is hard to avoid when you're directly below them. Again, going for the red and yellow first is the best idea. The other two waves are simple enough just holding fire should get rid of them on all settings.
SECTION 2 - MINI-BOSS
On the easiest setting, completing this boss won't cause any problems. Begin by shooting the balloon once then going directly below the vortex. When it passes overhead, try to fire at it so it goes further towards the hole. If this fails, leaving it to bounce around will result in it eventually being destroyed, too. On the harder levels, you'll have to deal with 2 balloons, just use the same technique and do your best to dodge them, before too long they'll be gone. The only other attack you'll have to watch out for, on the hardest setting only, is the bullet attack. The balloons will shoot at you like the red ships, which can be tough to dodge for the most part. Just stay at the bottom of the screen and keep plugging away.
SECTION 3
This is exactly the same as the first section except for more ships will be spawned. Again, using the same technique should work a treat; just remember to focus on the red and yellow ships to succeed.
SECTION 4 - MAIN BOSS
You'll have to face off against yet another balloon in order to succeed in this. Start off by blasting the balloon as much as you can while it hovers above you. Before too long it'll begin to retreat inside a giant bubble, only popping out occasionally as it moves. If the balloon is headed for you, move to the top of the screen and then try to get beneath it as it follows you. When you get beneath, begin blasting for as long as you can before the bubble goes for you again, because this is normally when the balloon shows itself. Repeating this should be simple enough on all difficulties, but you must watch out for the bubble spraying bullets at you above the lowest difficulty. Also, once the balloon begins to flash it will release circles of bullets in a last-ditch attempt to destroy you.

BOSS 4 - NAIL
SEQUENCES
On the three different difficulties, this boss has three very similar but very tough sequences to overcome. The first is quite simply a nail that must be hammered into the ground, the second is a slightly bigger nail and the third is much bigger, you guessed it, nail. While it may sound like a simple boss, most of you will find it very, very tough to defeat.
TECHNIQUE
The real key to winning on this boss is timing. Because your hammer is constantly moving and leaving it too long will result in losing a life, you must try to get a rhythm going. Waiting for the hammer to move into exactly the right position before pressing A and keep doing so to succeed is the best idea. While it's completely down to you to get some sort of pattern going, there are a few things you should try to avoid; first off leaving the hammer moving for too long will lose you a life, so once you get a rhythm going, stick to it, if you muck up just try to rectify it best you can but don't just stop hammering. Secondly, if you hit the nail at an angle, try to go for the opposite side of the nail as much as you can, hitting it in the same place again will lose you a life. Also, don't worry about getting it exactly straight by hitting it at the very edge of the opposite side because more often than not you'll just end up hitting the nail-holders hand. As long as you hammer it into the ground, using the other side as much as possible, the worst thing that can happen is it'll start with that same angle on it if you're on the challenge mode.

BOSS 5 - MARIO BASEBALL
THROW 1 - REGULAR THROW
Obviously the most simple, regular throws are easily hit. The regular throw is just straight down the middle, careering at you bat a fair speed, but nothing mind blowing. Just time you hit roughly and you should have no problems hitting them.
THROW 2 - DIPPING THROW
The trick with the dipping throw is not to go too gung ho while hitting the fast shots because chances are a dipping throw will come your way soon after and you'll miss it. There's nothing really special about these throws, all you need to do is swing as it drops towards your bat. Like I said, they can be a nuisance in the heat of the action, but shouldn't cause too many problems if you keep your eyes open.
THROW 3 - QUICK THROW
Not dissimilar to regular throws, the only real way to distinguish these throws is by the height they're at. While regular throws are thrown straight down the middle, these dip a lot a quicker. This is the only clue you'll get and as soon as you notice it’s dropping, tap the A button as quick as possible. It's best to practice on this boss a bit so you can really see the difference between the two, after that it's just a matter of how well you are at spotting them.
THROW 4 - DISAPPEARING THROW
Easily the most annoying and tough throws are the disappearing throws, which do exactly what they say on the tin, disappear. They can be regular throws, dipping throws or quick throws, but mid-flight they seemingly disappear for a short time. This does put you off and will lose you a fair few hits because of it, but it's best to try and remember how fast the throw was going and try to time it like you would any other shot. Once you've mastered these shots the boss should be no problem.

BOSS 6 - BOXER[2]
Very similar to the first Boxer boss, the only really change is a brand new attack. First of all, use exactly the same technique you used to defeat the first Boxer; wait until the sound effect for him charging up finishes, dodge then punch and repeat that three times. The only difference this time is that when he's down to his last heart, he'll try a super punch, which knocks you out completely and takes away all you hearts. Using the same method as normal punches, waiting until the sound effect finishes, works fine and you shouldn't have any problems defeating him.

BOSS 7 - RPG BOSS
This is simply a question and answer game which you should have no problem completing. First off, there are three questions you must answer (with a choice between 2 answers on easy, 3 on normal and 4 on hard). Because there are so many different answers, it's best to play through a few times before trying to actually beat it, even if most of the questions are fairly simple. After three blows, you will get one more challenge; an arrow will shuffle between three answers, the two wrong ones highlighted in red, you must simply press A on the right one to beat him.

BOSS 8 - ROCK SMASH
EASY/NORMAL DIFFICULTIES
Being one of the easiest bosses on Wario Ware, you should have no problem completing it. The boss will start off by dropping three rocks that systematically drop. Aim your laser at each one until it's destroyed then quickly move onto the next. The bosses next attack is just as easy with rocks that fall at a slightly faster pace and stop in mid air at random intervals. When they stop, focus your laser on them until they're destroyed then move on to the next one closest to the bottom. On the second highest difficulty it could prove a problem, but only if you're not ready for any to drop. The third attack sees rocks slowly floating down the screen; use the same technique used for the first attack and you should have no problems at all. The penultimate attack can be tough on the second highest difficulty, because of how many there are, but it's still pretty simple. Just do the same as you did with the first wave of rocks and you should have no problems. The final attack is very simple on the easiest setting; start off by firing your laser at the enemy ship until he stops, at that point get ready to destroy the first rocks he used against you. In no time you will have killed if you move you laser quickly when he stops and you get rid of the rocks quickly. On the higher, it's a good idea to keep in mind he fires different kinds of rocks, so be very careful.
HARD DIFFICULTY
The reason I haven't mentioned the hardest difficulty yet is because it's very different to the others. Random rocks are throw down towards you, so be alert at all times. Use you skill from the previous difficulties to help you and after a few tries you emerge victorious.

BOSS 9 - CLOUD JUMP
EASY DIFFICULTY
Begin by simply bouncing across the platforms until you reach the two clouds after the first set of moving clouds. After this there are some clouds that move from left to right. If you can't reach the first moving cloud, land onto the cloud beneath the one you're on and then bounce onto the first moving cloud. After that try to bounce across the bottom platforms, so if you miss one you should land on one of the higher ones. Just keep bouncing along the platforms until you get to a cloud with only 2 blocks, after that there will be a simple set of moving clouds to get past. After that, you'll see some moving and static platforms; go for the static platforms seeing as they're the easiest to navigate then bounce onto the double clouds and into the green tube to win.
NORMAL DIFFICULTY
This starts off fairly hard with very small, moving platforms to cross. The best way to get across is to jump and then move when you begin to float by tapping to the right for a more accurate landing. Soon enough you'll come across a red block, which speeds up time, so get ready for some mayhem. Luckily there are only simple moving clouds to get across and soon enough you'll reach the blue cloud to change the speed back again. Again, use floating for an accurate landing, as the clouds are especially small from here on in. The next section is very tough, you'll come across another red block and lots of small platforms, don't try floating because you won't reach some of the clouds, and soon enough you'll reach the blue block, after that there are just a couple of small blocks and then a long jump leading up to the finish.
HARD DIFFICULTY
Use your skill from the previous two difficulties to get past the first section with the small clouds and you’ll reach a red block. Keep going forward and you'll reach a moving red block and one blue one; try your best to dodge the red one and hit the blue one, returning speed to normal. After that you'll come across a further 2 red blocks making things very, very hectic. If you didn't dodge the first red block, you'll have quite a bit of trouble. Soon after a couple of small clouds are two blue blocks, one on top of another, will be seen. Land on both of them before moving on to slow you down, the couples of moving platforms are quite hard to land on so use the floating technique for precise accuracy. After this you'll meet yet another red block, followed by a blue block 2 clouds later, again if you didn't dodge the second red block you'll have a lot of trouble getting past it. After the blue block, use the floating technique as the platforms are very small and there's a big bunch of moving ones to navigate, too. Just bounce over them and into the tube to finally win.

BOSS 10 - BOXER[3]
Again, this is very similar to the first two boxer bosses and has no more moves than the first two. The big difference, other than his life gauge, is the fact he can use the super punch whenever he likes. Use the same technique as previous boxer bosses, dodge when the sound effect finishes and then go for the hit, and you should complete it easily.

FINAL BOSS
SECTION 1 - SKATEBOARDING
This boss starts off with a skateboarding section; jumping over blocks is simple enough, just wait until just before you hit it and then jump, to duck under blocks just hold down. After you've ducked under the first block, arrows will drop from the sky, so try to dodge them and duck straight after to avoid the second block. Arrows will keep falling, but you'll also have to jump and duck oncoming blocks, which shouldn’t go on for too long. You'll then see a yellow block floating in the air, which you should jump onto.
SECTION 2 - JETPACK
This section starts off with two to three blocks dropping down that need to be destroyed. These are fairly simple to get because they don't move. After that you'll have to try to collect more yellow packs. There are only one or two that you'll have to move to get, so it should be simple enough to complete. After you've collected them all you'll break through the ceiling and begin the next section.
SECTION 3 - BLOCK
This is a very simple little boss you must complete. Just keep dodging it until it drops to the ground then throw your boomerang at it. After three hits the boss will drop to the ground and the final section will start.
FINAL SECTION - FINAL DASH
The last section will begin with a round block chasing you. Just keep tapping A and soon enough you'll slide under a block, thus completing the final boss.

WARIO WARE - 1ST LEVEL WALKTHROUGH - GAMEBOY ADVANCE/SP

While the amazing Wario Ware does rely heavily on reflexes for the most part, other times you'll need a bit of help in order to crack some of the insane mini-games. This walkthrough will help you master every mini-game from the first level and earn yourself a score to be proud of.

MINI-GAME 1 - ENEMY JUMP
While this is a fairly simple mini-game, on the later levels it can get very tough. On the easiest setting, you must simply jump over the oncoming enemy; whether it be a sausage with wheels, a boulder, or a shark, for the first go, a simple jump should do the trick. For higher difficulty levels, though, it gets a lot tougher. The trick is to keep your eye on the foe instead of the fat, evil plumber that is Wario. The easiest one to spot is if the enemy is going much faster than usual, a simple jump by Wario should follow. The other three are a bit harder than this, so be on your toes. First off, never jump as soon as you see the foe, wait until he's as close as possible before jumping. Its first tricky move is to stop in the middle of the screen, thus catching you as you fall to the ground, after jumping in anticipation. If you don't jump when he stops, you should have no bother dodging it, and as you see more and more of these moves, you'll come accustomed as to where he actually stops on the screen. Probably the hardest to dodge is the when the foe makes a jump itself. This is why you must leave things until the last second before jumping. If it gets two-thirds the way of the screen without doing anything, then you can jump, but otherwise try not to accidentally press the jump button and get caught out. The third and final 'attack' of sorts is just a simple run across the screen, which can be hard to dodge at times, but for the most part your reflexes should take of it.

MINI-GAME 2 - WARIO SPINNER
This is a mini-game that relies hugely on reflexes, but there are still some tips that should help you. First of all, pressing A at the right time is essential, for the first spinner phase, when the section that needs to hit is at its biggest, go for it when Wario is facing just below the bottom of the pin. For the second phase, using the same technique should work fine, except, while you could be a little out on the first, you really need to pinpoint this exactly. A good way to do this is think of a third of the size of the second phase spinner, and then press A the length further down than the phase 1 spinner. The third is really hard and relies solely on your reflexes to complete. Use the same technique in the second phase, but this one will need some perfecting on the higher levels. Also, it's best to keep your eye on the pin instead of the spinner. That way you're not following around the spinner and it's easier to see when Wario is facing the right way.

MINI-GAME 3 - BAR GRAB
On the easier difficulties, you should sail through this, but as you progress you'll find catching the bars is a lot harder. First of you must try to keep your eyes on the bar instead of the hand. The reason for this is so know exactly where the bar is instead more on how far away the bar is to the hand at the bottom. The first two phases should be completed easily by pressing A when the bar is in the very centre of the screen. Although, you should watch out on later levels, after about 10 to 12 runs, because most of the time you'll have to press A the second the bars are dropped. The third phase is a little tougher than the previous 2, in this phase you should try to keep your eye on the hand. When the bar is just above the hand, press A and you should grab it fine. For the higher levels, though, double how far away the bar is before pressing A. Again, practice makes perfect.

MINI-GAME 4 - DIAMOND SNATCH
Strangely, this mini-game is probably the hardest on the 1st phase. Whilst the first few runs are fairly simple, as you progress you'll begin to find it increasingly hard. First off, you'll have to know what each phase entails; the first simply has a hole in the floor, the second has a hole and one block, trying to stop you from getting there, and the third has two blocks stuck together. If the hole in the ground is to the very left or right, just push against the wall to complete that little mini-game. When the blocks start to appear, though, they do prove to help. If they're directly above the hole (which they usually are), make Wario push against the block, then stop once he's right against it, then when you get below the block, tap left or right (depending on which way the hole is) once, or with two blocks, twice. Also, be at the ready as soon as you start each level; because the blocks may be directly below you, get ready to move. If they are, remember to move away from them, not towards the hole, if there are two blocks, one piece above the hole and one below you, move to the free space instead of trying to go towards the hole. As I said, on the later levels the first phase is very hard. Just instead of holding a direction, try tapping it a certain amount of times. This way it's a lot more accurate and should avoid lives be lost for stupid reasons.

MINI-GAME 5 - MICRO RACER
One of the harder mini-games from the first level, while dodging fluffy-looking balls in a seemingly flimsy RC Car may seem easy, it really isn't. Each phase is the same apart from an extra ball is added each time you progress, until it reaches 4 and returns back to 2 balls. The best way to dodge them is to stay in the centre of the screen until they begin to scatter, then retreat to one of the corners. Only very occasionally do they hit the corners, so it's a perfect hiding place. If one is veering towards you, move to either side to dodge it. All you'll have to really watch out for are the later levels, because a lot of the time, the balls bounce straight back to the middle and seemingly crush you. The best thing to do is move slightly to either the left or right of the screen in later levels, so it's easier to escape if that does happen.

MINI-GAME 6 - SPACE SHOOTER
There's not many tips to really help you with this game, seeing as you just try and shoot down 1, 2 or 3 randomly generated space ships. The first two phases are easy enough on all settings, but the third really does test you, especially when the ships are going at different speeds. The best way to complete the third phase is to go towards the cluster of two first. Quickly gunning them down means you won't have to go chasing the lone ship. Once you have destroyed them both, the remaining ship should have bounced off the wall and be on its way towards you. Shooting the final one should be easy.

MINI-GAME 7 - DRESS WARIO
In this mad little mini-game, you must retrieve Wario's garments falling so he's not-so naked anymore. While it does sound very simple, not before too long it'll begin to get hectic. The first two phases are fairly simply and only very rarely should you lose lives on them; in the first you must simply get the falling clothes and in the second, the floating clothes can normally be captured by staying in the middle, and once the first falls onto you, going for the second. But the real problems come when the third begins. It's essential to stay in the middle of the screen on this one. At first you'll see a jumper slowly floating down; don't be deceived and rush towards it straight away, stay in the middle with your eyes open. Soon enough Wario's hat should come darting down, grab that and then rush over to the remaining piece of clothing. This is what will lose you most of your lives, but you should have no problem scoring over thirty if you try to challenge this mini-game.

MINI-GAME 8 - ROAD RASH
The first two phases of this mini-game are very similar; the two vehicles used are basically the same size, the second is only a tiny bit bigger. For these two phases, simply get in the middle of the two lanes, so you're in between the cars whizzing past. Most of the time the cars won't hit you because you're so small, but occasionally you'll have to weave in and out of the vehicles that are heading towards you. The third phase is a real challenge, though. Going in the middle would be stupid because you're so big there's probably more chance of you getting hit by the traffic. The trick is to keep your eye on the top of the screen, where the vehicles appear. Once one car passes by, slip ahead of him because there's less chance more traffic will come from that section. If you see something yellow appear at the top, quickly try to get away from it. Being the same big vehicle as you, it moves a lot faster than the others and is easy to hit. Luckily these only come about once in a while, so you won't have to dodge many. Again, you should get 30 no problem.

MINI-GAME 9 - WARIO PAC-MAN
The trick with this Pac-Man-esque mini-game is to remember that the level loops. If you go to the right, you'll end up appearing on the left hand side. The first two runs are very simple; the first has one line of coins to collect and the second has two lines. These should be simple to collect once you master the direction change; instead of pressing the certain direction just before the turn, you have to do it the second you're near the opening. At first it could prove a problem, and it does on the later difficulties, but before too long you become accustomed to it. The third is very tough to get used to; this time there are three lines to collect, and, like I said before, you have to remember that the small maze loops. For example if you collect two lines of coins and the next ones are far to the right, go left and you should be able to get them in time.

MINI-GAME 10 - GOOMBA STOMP
In this mini-game you must stomp out a number of Goomba's. The first phase if very easy and you should have no problem succeeding. The second phase is a bit tougher on the faster levels; the best way to get rid of them is to go for the closest one first, and once you've hit the first, simply bounce onto the second, which should be done easily. The third wave of Goombas can be quite tough; instead of going straight for the closest Goomba, wait for one to come towards you, then once you've crushed it bounce your way onto the others systematically. Just remember not to go straight for the Goombas; if you do you'll most likely just bounce over them end up losing a life.

MINI-GAME 11 - SPOTLIGHT
Obviously the best idea is to keep the little Wario in your sights at all times, but the biggest problem is doing it. The best technique is to wait until the little Wario gets to the edge of the spotlight before moving; trying to keep him in the middle gets confusing when he keeps changing direction, and a lot of the time he quickly changes direction to trick you. You should be able to get a fairly hefty score seeing as this is one of the less-challenging mini-games and it doesn't seem to change difficulty either, only the speed.

MINI-GAME 12 - GLASS CATCH
Probably the most fun mini-game of the lot, this involves Wario and a fair few pints to get through. Again, there are no specific phases to go through; instead it just continually gets faster. There are three different ways the glasses will be hurled at you, though; the first it will simply be thrown from the left, the second way will entail a glass coming from the right and the in the third, one will be thrown from the left, stop, then be thrown from the right. The first is simple enough and easy to time, so there's no need worrying about that. The second is a little tougher; you'll really have to be on your toes if you want to succeed in this challenge. Because it's a lot closer to you, the second you see it you should press A in order to grab it. The third is a lot tougher than the previous two; the second you see the glass stop, quickly press A and you should okay, but spotting that's it's going to stop can be quite a job, especially so when it gets really fast.

FINAL MINI-GAME - PUNCH BAG BOSS
You need impeccable timing to beat this boss, so practice would come in handy. The best technique is to punch the bag when it's only slightly at an angle; punching it too late will cause it just to smash you to the floor and too early will result in a similar result. Punching it as it's vertical is normally too close, so try to remember it needs to be at a very slight angle. As you go onto the harder attacks things start to get very fast, so just keep an eye on where you want it to be when punching it and as soon as it catches your eye, tap A. When it finally does loop around to the opposite side, wait until it just goes into the light before smashing A and destroying the evil punch bag.

If you follow these simple instructions you should breeze through the first level of one of the most unique and crazy games to grace the GBA. Plus, you'll be able to impress your mates with a monster score.
