Retro Game Walkthroughs for Halo (Xbox)

If you are playing on easy or normal mode you can usually take out most enemies with a few headshots from the assault rifle or
pistol. It is best to zigzag towards them whilst firing, and after killing them run behind some cover to reload. If you come
across a large group of enemies it is best to throw a grenade or two. I find that the plasma grenades work well at short range
because a well aimed throw will allow the grenade to attach itself to an unlucky enemy. The Fragmentation grenades are
better used at medium range, I prefer the human grenades because in my opinion they are more powerful.

Elites (the big covenant with shields) you should take them by surprise by shooting them with a pistol from a distance. If that
is not possible then you should try to stay behind cover and keep running out and shooting. It is not advisable to go near
them as on harder difficulty levels a single puch can knock out your whole shield, and like yours, their's recharges too, so If
you see their shield dissappear, empty your magazine, or hit them a few times as they are extremely weak without shields. A
single blow to the back of an unsuspecting Elite will result in his immediate death.

Hunters (The big blue ones with a plasma launcher mounted on their arm) are much easier to kill than it might seem. Run up
close and wait until it tries to charge, move out of its way and as it runs past shoot the orange patch on its back, the only
other weakness is its neck. Grenades don't work very well against this foe.

To kill invisible enemies is a bit more tricky, if you are not lacking in grenades and you think an invisible covenant is
nearby throw one, as anything cloaked nearby will immediately uncloak leaving it vulnrable to attack, invisible enemies are
usually much weaker than their visible counter-parts.

Legendary and Heroic modes use much the same tactics, but make sure you don't get hit by using available cover around you,
always watch your back and ALWAYS reload if you're not in any danger, as it can be quite difficult to reload while being shot
by several enemies. Use tactics wisely on these modes as enemies aren't pushed over quite so easily, i.e don't run in and try to be a hero.

Multiplayer:
1)It's always good fun to spread your mates insides all over the wall behind him, so here are some good tips to stop them doing
it to you before you can do it to them:
2)As in one player always use the cover around you. NEVER run across open ground, stick to cliff edges and side
paths to avoid being seen.
3)Always think about what you would do if someone jumped on you at that very moment? Do you have the right weapon equipped?

4)Sniper rifles are only good at close range if you can hit someone. Unless you're good at it don't run around with them.

5)If a sniper starts firing pot shots at you zigzag, the cover you are hiding behind might not obstruct his view at all,
especially if he is behind you.

6)Follow the sniper trails to find out where the sniper is. Never fire a sniper rifle at an enemy unless you have a clear
shot.

7)Conserve your ammo and if more is available try to share it out between others, ie don't steal it all for yourself.

8)If you're in a close quarters battle, try humping around SOMETIMES it helps against less experience players, but try not
to rely on it.

9)If you find that by the time you have turned around to look behind you, you are already dead, go into settings and change
the look sensetivity. Higher means faster.

10)In an all against all, pick a colour appropriate for the map, you wouldnt want to be dressed in red if you were on sidewinder (an ice/snow map).

11)In close quarter maps the best way to kill someone can be to rush them, but unless they are really hopeless players, you will need to be quite good at the game to do this.

12)Grenades can rebound and kill you, friendly fire is also real.

13)If you are about to hit someone in a warthog, braking usually doesn't work, and they'll probably end up dead. Try to steer gently away, swerving just makes the back wheel hit them rather than the front.
