For the Level named Halo:
This is my own work and was not copied off any other walkthroughs, not even my own.

When the short cut scene at the beginning of the level has ended walk out of the escape pod and pick up all the dropped ammo and fragmentation grenades that are in a pile just outside the pod.

Cortana will then say "It's a Covenant dropship, coming in fast, I recommend immediate evasion", when she says this, turn left from all the ammunition and head towards the bridge, run across it to the otherside and shelter in a bush or behind a rock. After a few seconds the dropship will arrive, ignore this for a moment and search the skies for two Banshees (Purple planes flown by the Covenant). When you see one of these Banshees approaching you, get out your' assault rifle and focus one of the targets. Keep your' aim on your' chosen Banshee and when the cursor turns red, shoot it until it blows up. Do not waste time on the second Banshee as, when you have destroyed one, the other flees!

Now, turn your' attention back to the previously mentioned Covenant Dropship (A large purple and blue coloured ship with a kind of energy beam in its centre), you cannot destroy the Dropship, instead focus on its Covenant passengers. Stay on the opposite side of the bridge and pull out your' pistol, then activate the zoom (by clicking down the left joystick). Focus on the bridge and when you see one of the smaller invading members, called a Grunt, shoot it off the bridge. When you have used the pistols scope to kill all of the Grunts, dash across the bridge and Hold the X button to pick up the Plasma Pistol. When you are equipped with this pistol, hold down the Right trigger to charge it up. Keep your' finger on the trigger and search out the larger Covenant creature, called an Elite. Shoot the Elite(s)[Depending on your chosen difficulty setting] with the charged up Plasma bullet to take away their shield, then quickly switch back to your' assault rifle and kill the Elite.

When all of the Covenant are dead head back across the bridge to where you first hid from the Banshees. Follow the pathway around until you find some rocks, be ready for an ambush from a handful of Grunts and an Elite. Use the rocks as cover and quickly pick of the Elite with the Assault rifle until it dies. Next kill the Grunts with the Needler weapons (look like Hedgehogs and fire explosive spines). When you have dispatched these Grunts kill the others with your' melee attack, on the B button, so as not to waste any ammo. Switch your Plasma pistol with a deceased Grunts as it will have more ammo.

Next carry on through the rocks until you get to a small ledge. Jump onto the rock and walk over it. Hug the left wall and you will pass a checkpoint. Now you will run onto a scene of Battlefield chaos! You will see another Covenant Dropship slightly to the right, quickly dispatch an Elite that is even further to the right. Turn left and run up behind the Grunts in roughly the middle of the large grassy area. Prioritise by killing those with Needlers firt, then the others. You will now see some men in grey suits, known as the Marines, Do NOT kill them as they are on your' team and help you out, also it is your' mission to protect them. The Captain will speak to you and tell you what a mess it is.

Turn right from the Captain and you should see another Marine, follow the structure he is next to round to the right and prepare for another Dropship invasion, only this time you will be attacked by two Dropships, one on the left and one on the right. Head first for the Dropship on the right and look for shield carrying Covenant, the Jackals. To dispatch the Jackals easily, use your charged Plasma pistol to destroy their shields or attack them with your Melee attack. Shoot ALL Covenant members that have the Needler weapon, otherwise they will wipe out all of the Marines. Make sure that no Covenant head up the structure, because there are two very weak Marines up their (Dressed in either blue, orange, yellow or brown) that will not be able to withstand any major Covenant skirmishes. Head round to the Dropship on the left, killing any Elites/Jackals/Grunts on the way. Detour slightly forwards to another Dropship if you are low on Health, to collect a medi-pack.

Use the same tactic as on the right dropship except watch out for any Marines, because they tend to fight on this side more. Dispatch the Elites as they are the only real threat to your Marine troups.

When you have killed all of the Covenant from these two ships, head round to the side that you entered this battlefield from, because another Covenant Dropship will land here. Basically start with the Elites and Jackals, note that some Elites will be carrying Needlers so kill them first. Marines will not be as helpful because they are not prepared for this attack, as it is on the opposite side to that which they had just been on.

Now Cortana and the Marines will communicate with the Leader of the Pelican ship that is just about to come and collect the surviving Marines. Head up the structure in the middle to collect any health packs you need aswell as some Fragmentation grenades and Assault rifle ammo.

Follow the arrow to find the Pelican, a large grey ship, and you will see a Marine armoured car vehicle known as a Warthog. Get into the Drivers side (in single player there will be a Marine in the Gunner position).
Drive into the large Canyon up ahead, avoiding a nasty crash with the canyons rocks. Head into a large tunnel, along with Cortanas message "this cave is not a natural formation".

Follow the tunnel round to pass a checkpoint, and keep following it, until you come to a large gap. Try and turn off the edge and onto the ramp at a mediocre speed, too fast and you will nosedive, too slow and you will tip up, killing the Marine. Now get up some speed in the Warthog and clear the gap off the top of the ramp.

Drive around the passageway, passing a checkpoint in the process, and head down the path into a large area full of Covenant! The room is shaped with a large runway leading into a triangular tunnel, there are many large metallic pillars and there is a large abyss past the tunnel. Park the Warthog in a central area, so that the Marine can kill some Covenant to. Focus on the right side of a central pathway in the room, press the White button to turn your guns' light on as it is Dark. Kill all the Covenant on the the right side, and then scour the wall for a Blue passage way, throw a Grenade round the corner as there are too Red Elites. Follow the passage until you come to a Terminal. Press X on the terminal and watch the ensueing cut-scene of a light bridge going across the abyss. When the cut-scene ends jump onto the sloped wall and slide down it. Pick up the Warthog, hopefully with the Marine still alve, and cross the light bridge.

You will go into a tunnel, like the one you entered from the canyon. Follow it around and pass a checkpoint.

You will then end up in another green grassy area with some atmospheric music playing and a sub title appearing on screen as you drive out of the tunnel. Cross the shallow part of the river, still in your' Warthog and go up the hill to the left. Run over the Jackals and pass through the opening which has a blue light either side of it. Park your' Warthog and steathily creep round to the left, towards the cliff face. The area has a large structure in the middle, with some Fir trees before it and a small pathway on its' left. Beyond this is a tower with patrolling Elites and an Entrance to the structure guarded by Jackals and Grunts. Down below, there is Grunts on each level and two bridges across a small gap, with Marines beyond that.

Creep onto the path on the left, that touches the cliff face. Kill the Jackals with Melee (so as not to alert the Elites), then carry on round and kill the Grunts before grabbing the Health pack. Go down the passage and kill all the Grunts with your' melee attack, so you don't waste precious ammo, and take this oppurtunity to replace your' Plasma pistol with a slain Grunts. Kill the Jackals below with Melee or your' Plasma Pistol, and then go up to the Marines. Carry on past them and up another passage, again with levels, killing the Grunts on the way. When you come out of the Tunnel try and dispatch the Elites quickly, so as not to lose your' marines.

Another Pelican will come down, but only when all of the Covenant have been duelly executed. It will give you another Warthog, with a Marine in the Gunner position again. Step into the Drivers' side once again and drive up to the right, up a green hill, through a checkpoint and some more blue lights. Speed away from the Banshees and across the shallow end of the River. Go straight ahead and up the green hill, through yet more blue lights!

You will enter an area with a large green expanse after some rocks, guarded by Grunts. Past this is a sandy area with more rocks and a sandy hill, up the top of the hill is two Elites. Slightly up and to the right is a platform and then a large rock. The Marines are just below the Elites, hidden in the sandy area and there is a small passage that goes up to the platform, thus avoiding the Elites.

So, head to the first sandy area, and tactically use the Rocks for cover until the Grunts turn tail and flee, chase them and kill them with yet another Melee attack. Carry on round to the Marines and you will be told their position by another Captain figure. Kill a Marine with a sniper rifle, it looks huge and is black, the Marine is normally helmeted. Exchange your' Plasma Pistol for the Sniper Rifle, by holding the X button when standing over it. Creep up the small passage way with the Sniper out. Peek from the edge and zoom into to 10x. Shoot the Elites and then head up to the Platform.

A Covenant Dropship will appear on the Green expanse so use the Sniper to take out all of its' occupants. If any elude your Sniping head down the hill and kill them with your' chosen attack.

When all of the Covenant are dead, you will get another conversation and a Pelican will come down dropping off another Warthog, armed with a Marine in the Gunner seat. Head off up the hill to the left and onto the plain.

Search for a high hill that should be roughly adjacent to your' location when you are by the blue lights. Head up here, it is a thin passage way, that opens out onto a green expanse, there is a hill down to a structure, crawling with Covenant minions. There is a hill past this and the Marines are up the top. Use the Warthog to speed past the Covenant and kill as many as you possibly can. Leave your' Wrathog and head up the hill, before meeting the Marines, avert your' course to a Warthog on its' side, there is some ammunition for your' Sniper Rifle here.

Head up to the Marines and get your Sniper Rifle out, pick off as many as you can each time from the waves of Covenant before switching to your' Assault Rifle to finish the rest off. The Marines MUST be kept away from the edge, and when Elites appear always be the one to tackle them.

If all goes smoothly and well, a Pelican Dropship will come down and pick up the Marines, except this time stand behind it and press the X button to clamber aboard.

Well done soldier, the mission is complete!

This is my own multiplayer walkthrough, for the god of a game,
Halo!

After 3 days now of 'Halo'ing, linking 2 Xbox's together, I've
come up with some very good suggestions for Halo multiplayer. Of
course, to make the most out of these suggestions, you really do
need to get to know the maps, and all players have to have some
experience, otherwise it'll just be a case of mopping up the
newbies.

Sidewinder

Level Description:
This is a great level for team matches and one on one. If you're
going to play one on one, it's best to have a TV each, because on
one TV there is no point - you can see where the other one is.
There are two bases at the ends of the horseshoe shaped level.
The teleport on the upper level of each base will take you to a
ledge on the outer rim of the level. If you follow the ledge
you're on, you'll find another teleporter which will take you to
the other ledge on the other side of the horseshoe (if you get
what I mean). There is also a cavern running between the two
ends of the horshoe, which has active camouflage and an
overshield in it, and while these pickups are accessible from
both sides, there is a grille preventing you from actually
crossing. All the ledges around the rim have steps up to them,
but otherwise the horshoe is a barren ice area with a few hills
and an overshield in the middle.
On this level, players either respawn outside the bases or on the
ledges, but never in the middle of the field.

Item Locations:
There are two bases at the ends of the horseshoe shaped level,
each with a sniper rifle and two shotguns at the top, along with
grenades, health and the rifle at the bottom. In the cavern
between the ends of the horshoe, where active camouflage and
overshields are, there are four plasma grenades. Also, the
ledges around the level all have rocket launchers on them.
Remember: The black button switches between grenade types.
Plasma grenades are definitely the best, since they stick to
people, but on default you use normal grenades, so I suggest
changing which you're using as soon as you pick up some plasma
grenades.

Vehicle Locations:
This really depends on the vehicle set you choose, but with
everything on a Warthog, two ghosts and a scorpion tank will
appear next to each base.

There are three very good game modes you can play on this level,
in my opinion.

Mode 1 - Mutliplayer team slayer:
Firstly, change the options so that there are unlimited grenades,
no penalties for killing a lot of people and only human weapons.
Also change it so that there are all vehicles.

It is a good idea to play with teams, but it is just as good to
have a free for all. Basically, split up into two teams.
Normally on this level, the sniper rifle would have a great
advantage because there are so many good sniping points - from
the top of a base, or on any of the ledges around the level.
Having the Scorpion helps counter this advantage, because it's
rockets aren't slow like the rocket launcher's, and generally it
offers protection when driving around the level. Also, this is a
good level for campers because there is a lot of cover around
which offer good sniping positions as well.

Mode 2 - 2 player deathmatch
This is very fun for two veteran players. Again, use the same
settings as with the team slayer, but in this one, with a TV each
so you can't see where the opponent is, it is both very fun and a
very edgy game. Since you don't know where your opponent is, it
can be very good for snipers - particularly if you're both good
shots. A low frag limit is good, to keep the game short and
even.

Mode 3 - Capture the flag
This is a great mode, mainly because with four players and two
teams, you can have one person cover the runner, and the runner
trying to get the flag. Since you can have somebody camping at
the base, it is extremely hard to get the flag, but the portals
allow for some sneaky escapes, particularly if you turn off the
radars and get active camouflage.

Blood Gulch

Level Description:
This level is very similar to Sidewinder, in that it's an open
field with two bases at the end. In this case, the bases are
circular things, with four entrances. On two opposite sides
there are ramps up to the roof, and on the other two sides there
are ramps down to the bottom. The bottom is an open room, with a
hole in the ceiling onto the roof. The field between the bases
is hilly, and there is a path in an S shape leading among them.
Behind the 'red' base, there is a steep slope leading up, ideal
for snipers who wish to remain out of sight (in other words,
cheap-shot campers). On the blue side, there is a canyon path
leading up the wall on the cliff, and some caves inside the
canyon wall. On the roof of each base, there is a teleporter
which will teleport into the middle of the field.

Item Locations:
On the roof of each base, there is one sniper rifle, one pistol
and one health pack. Inside the base, there are two shotguns and
two assault rifles. In the middle of the field, next to the only
bush/tree thing, there is a rocket launcher, and on the adjacent
hill there is either active camouflage or an overshield.

Vehicle Locations:
Depending on which vehicle set you choose, whichever vehicles you
do choose appear next to the bases, in the same proportions as in
Sidewinder.

Game modes:
In this level, I've found there are 4 good game modes.

Mode 1 - Capture the flag
This mode is great because of the sniping advantage. I only
suggest this mode though without vehicles, because the hilliness
of the field in between does offer some cover from cheeky snipers
and rocketeers. It is a lot more fun when capturing the flag is
a challenge.
I'd suggest playing this mode with two TV's, and in teams. That
way, you can either storm the opponent's base with a warthog, or
have a sniper covering the person attempting a capture.

Mode 2 - Slayer and Team Slayer
This level is also good for slayer and team slayer, because of
the number of options available. In team slayer, people who like
sniping can do so with some cover, because there are some very
good locations to do so. People who like going for the rocket
launcher have to do so without getting hit by a sniper, which
offers some challenge, and it is generally fun playing at long
range combat. Going 3 on 1 against a veteran is also very fun,
especially if that person is prone to getting angry. The reason?
Grab two tanks, keep one at each end of the level, and wherever
the person respawns they get automatically killed :D.

Mode 3 - Race
Since the level is quite open, there is ample opportunity in Race
to use vehicles. Therefore, racing across the open terrain to
tag the objects is great fun. What's more, the sniper rifles
allows other people to get frags from far off, making open
targets quite tricky to get.

Battle Creek

Unlike the other two levels I've mentioned, this is relatively
small. It is good for close range combat, so if you prefer
weapons like the shotgun and assault rifle, this level is for
you.

Level Description:
This is a very small level. Again, it has two bases, but the
distance between each is very small. As the name suggests, there
is a small stream running between the bases, and there are lots
of boulders on each side offering cover. There is also a great
rock arch next to the stream, and two high up ledges on the left
and right of the level. Each base goes down, and is generally a
square shape with ramps up.

Item Locations:
Underneath the bases there are assault rifles, and to the right
of most ramps there are also assault rifles/needlers. At the top
of the rock arch, there is a rocket launcher. To get up the
arch, stand back from where it starts, run and jump up, then it's
just a case of walking up and grabbing it. There is active
camouflage in the stream, at the end where the arch starts from
the ground. On the ledges on either side of the level there are
sniper rifles too. Behind the base on one side there is a health
pack, and behind the base on the other there is an overshield.

Vehicle Locations:
On this level, because it is so small and cramped, there are no
vehicles.

Game Modes:

Mode 1 - Capture the flag
This mode is great for loads of players, namely because it is a
very cramped level, so merely getting across the level requires
more luck than skill. Trying to get the flag back to your base
is near impossible, unless you're the lucky receiver of active
camouflage. Even then, it's not difficult to see the
'camouflaged' player.
Also, the ledges on either side allow campers to snipe other
players, and more or less clear the way. If there's a player
who's a fairly good shot, it would be a good idea for them to do
this. Unless of course, somebody shoots a rocket, or throws a
grenade up.

Mode 2 - Oddball
This mode of gameplay is usually pretty crap, but because of the
level design, it is really fun to play as well. There are no
hiding places in this level, and with the radar on, it's often a
case of surviving against the enemies more than actually running
away. With 8 players, this becomes hectic, but of course, great
fun.

Mode 3 - Slayer
This level is aweful in team slayer, but great in normal slayer.
Don't expect to stay alive for more than a minute, and actually
getting a sniper rifle or rocket launcher is a task in itself.
It's a good idea to take grenades off, because it is all too easy
to kill yourself, but unlimited grenades is great to play as
well.

Boarding Action

Level Description:
It's hard to say where everything is on this level. Basically,
imagine a block of flats, chopped down the middle, so you can see
into every room. Or one of those dollhouses which can be opened
up. Basically, there are two 'buildings' like this, floating
apart from each other. Since it's based in space, trying to jump
between the levels is pointless (you die) but it IS possible.
The layout of the rooms is very random, although they're all
attached by ladders and teleports.

Item Placement:
On each side of the level, in roughly the middle, there is a room
which has a wall protecting it from the other side of the level.
There is, however, a slit in the wall so you can snipe out of.
In this room, there is a rocket launcher. Looking at the level,
in the top left corner there is a sniper rifle. On the level
below, just underneath the sniper rifle, is active camouflage on
one side, and an overshield on the other. Dotted around the
level are the various other weapons, and there is an open space
on each side where there are two assault rifles and two
shotguns.

Vehicles? Yeah, right.

Game Modes:

Mode 1 - King of the Hill
This mode is useless in most levels, because they're very easy to
memorise. The layout of this level is confusing and hard to
remember, so king of the hill is a very good mode to play. The
radar is more or less useless in this level, because you could be
right next to somebody but five floors up. This mode is great
because it is not only hard to kill the 'king', but hard to find
the hill in the first place.

Mode 2 - Team Slayer
Normal slayer isn't such a great idea in this level, because it
is very hard to find anybody. Therefore, this level is only very
good with lots of people. Normal slayer isn't very fun though,
because all the ladders and teleporters make it confusing and
annoying. Team slayer is good though, because with two or more
people, one person can snipe over to the other side of the level
while the other covers him with a shotgun/assault rifle.

Mode 3 - Race
If you want a truly unskillful game, go for race. Trying to find
the objects is nigh on impossible, since the radar is useless,
and there is no direct path anywhere. This game is fun with 4
players, too hard with more and too boring with less. However,
go for a short play because this is one of those levels which you
can get tired of quickly, and then it's just a boring slog.

Those game modes are well suited to the levels which I've
mentioned. However, the other levels are pretty much boring -
they're inside levels, which means close combat. Therefore, the
only really good mode is slayer. Special game modes are only
suited to levels which are made for that purpose. The other
multiplayer levels in Halo are boring, grey, inside and generally
just good for multiplayer.
