This walkthrough will show you how to complete the first three levels on XIII with ease!

Tips

Keep reloading after each encounter with the enemy: the last thing you want is to run out of ammo in the clip when facing hoards of bad guys!
Duck when in a firefight: the less of your body that is showing the fewer bullets will hit you, and so you will have more health afterwards.
If you’re not in any hurry, pick up a body to use as a human shield.
Use shotguns for short range, automatics for short-medium range, pistols for medium-long range, and crossbows and sniper rifles for long range. This will ensure that the majority of your bullets will land.
When shooting someone far away with a weapon that doesn’t have a scope, make sure that you’re close enough so that the crosshair turns red, indicating that the auto-aim is on and that you’re in range.

Brighton Beach

At the beginning, there’s a long cutscene that you can skip by pressing ‘start’, after which you need only to follow the lifeguard. After the helicopter appears, the gameplay moves to a flashback.

In the flashback, you’re in some corridors, and you need to walk to the door on the far right until there’s another flash. You’ll then be outside on the deck of a ship. Keep going forward until some people start to shoot you. You’ll then jump off the edge and the gameplay goes back to the present and to the beach, where you need to follow the lifeguard again until you faint.

After the cutscene in the lifeguard station, the lifeguard is killed and you stand up. Search the lifeguard by walking over her and you’ll find some throwing knives. Turn to the left where you’ll see someone outside the door on the telephone. Throw a knife at his head, then turn around and go into the other room. Crouch down in front of the open door until a person walks past it. He’ll see you and will stand still, at which point you need to throw a knife at his head for instant death. Search his body and the room to find a handgun, a 44 special, a key, and some more throwing knives. Reload both guns, and then go to the other door through which you killed the guy on the phone. You can now open this door with the key you’ve picked up.

Go forwards and turn right, and kill the two baddies. Go back and continue along the main passage and a red square will appear on the mountain to the right where there’s an enemy that needs killing. It’s best to use the 44 special (the revolver), as this is quite accurate at long-medium range and is very powerful. A person will jump down from a ridge on the mountain to the left. Kill him, then carry on going forward and ignore the helicopter – it doesn’t shoot you! There’ll be another person on the mountain to the right whom is marked by a red square as well and needs killing, after which, kill the guy next to the boats, board the third boat along to get a medikit, then carry along the passage.

When you come to the van, there’ll be three people there: two on the left and one on the right behind the building. After their disembowelment, search the bodies to find some ammo and a key to the van. Enter the van, and that’s the end of mission one!

Winslow Bank

Go up to the till (past the guard and on the left) and talk to the cashier. He’ll take your key and then exit stage left, at which point you need to go back to where you saw the guard and wait there until the cashier opens the door. Follow the cashier and DO NOT KILL ANYONE YET! The second guard you meet will open the comically oversized bank door, through which you will find your safety deposit box at the end of the isle. A white square will show you which box is yours. Open it and pick up the important document and peg it…there’s a bomb inside the deposit box!

The gameplay will now go to another flashback where you see a woman (Major Jones). Follow her to the deposit box where you set the bomb and the flashback ends.

Now that you’re back in the present, put some more distance between you and the bomb. After it goes off, there’ll be a hole in the wall through which you must exit. You’ll then need to go through the alleys, up the ladder (by looking up and moving forwards), and through the vent (by crouching down).

After you pass the checkpoint, you hear a guard working on the fuse box. The difficult part of this mission is that you can’t kill any guards, you can only stun, hit, or throw things (like chairs) at them. With this in mind, put away your weapon and slowly walk up to the guard’s back until the crosshair turns into a red hand, at which point you need to punch him. Take his ammo and carry on up the stairs. On the next floor, go through the doors and pick up a chair (by looking at it and pressing ‘x’), and then knock out the guard. You can knock out anyone with an object regardless of whether they know you’re there or not, but if they don’t know you’re there, then they won’t shoot you. An added bonus to being stealthy!

After this guard’s been knocked out, carry on going around the balcony and knock out the other guard. Pick up the ashtray, then hide behind the pillars and stand still for a few seconds so that you can see the ‘taps’ made by the guard. When he’s close enough for you to be able to run out and hit before he draws a weapon, knock him out with the ashtray. Pick up his ammo, then carry on to the end of the passage where you’ll see a door to the left that has a ‘Director’ sign on it. Enter this door and pick up a chair, and watch the conversation between the guard and the director through the window. After which, you see the guard opening the door. This means that he’s about to come into the room you’re in, so turn to the right and go to the door so that when the guard opens it, you can knock him out. In this room that the guard just came from, there is a medikit on top of a stack of drawers.

After you’ve picked this up, go through into the next room (the director’s room) and pick up a chair. The next room looks like the room with the safety deposit boxes you were in before and there are chairs all around it. There are also two guards that need a good thwarting, so pick up a chair and stand next to the other door in the director’s room. You should be able to see some ‘taps’ coming towards you and then going away from you. When they start to go away from you, open the door, knock out the guard and then find and pick up another chair. Chances are that the other guard has seen you, so you need to be quick so that he doesn’t start shooting you. Try to stand at the end of an isle so that the guard doesn’t have enough time to start shooting when he comes around the end of the isle. After you’ve picked up the guards’ ammo, go to the end of the room where you’ll see a medikit on a table. Pick it up and then jump onto the table, crouch down, break the grill, and go through the vent.

After you pass the second checkpoint, you need to take a hostage. Do this by walking up to the woman quite slowly until the crosshair turns to a red hand in front of a head, at which point you need to press ‘x’. Pick up the magnetic card from the table and open the door with it. There will be three guards to the left so get out a gun and point it at them but DO NOT SHOOT THEM! Also, don’t press the ‘x’ button, as this will release the hostage and the guards will start to shoot you. With the gun pointed their way, move backwards until you pass an elevator on the left. Open this with the card and press the button on the inside of the elevator to close the doors. You can now release the hostage.

You now see a screen that shows a person killing a guard, and these people you can kill because they’re just darned evil! Shoot the guy across the balcony, then go around to him. There are a few more people to kill on the balcony and some people in the room to the left of where you made your first kill. There’re about six baddies altogether and there are medikits and ammo to pick up in the room on the left. Carry on around the balcony and you’ll find a door through which there is a large hole in the wall. Go through this hole and kill the guy on the level above, then go down the fire escape and you’ll be arrested by the FBI, which concludes this level!

FBI

After the cutscene, you are handcuffed to a chair and you are shown why the FBI thinks you killed President Sheridan. There is then a large explosion and the FBI people leave the room to investigate it. Major Jones then shoots the handcuffs away through the vent, meaning that you can now stand up. Go over to her and she’ll tell you to meet her on the roof and not to kill the FBI people. Pick up an ashtray and open the door, then dash to the other side of the passage where there are blinking lights. Crouch down and turn to the left and you’ll see a vent. Break the grill and go through it. When you come out of the vent, a guard will become alarmed and will come into the room you’re in, so pick up an ashtray and whack him when he comes in! If he started to shoot you, his accomplice will give himself up at the end of the main passage, so you just need to punch him a few times to knock him out. However, if you took the first guy out unawares, his accomplice will start to shoot at you, so pick up the chair behind the door and give him a good thwarting.

Go into the room that has a chair in front of its door to find a medikit. Find a chair and go back to where the FBI dude gave himself up and go through that door (the door on the far right). There’ll be an FBI man there, so knock him out! Turn to the left and break the boxes by punching them or by using ‘x’ so that you can go through the vent. At the end of the vent there are a few bricks, so pick one up. Don’t go out of the vent until they stop talking, at which point, with brick in hand, sneak up to the FBI men and knock them out (there are sometimes 2 people there and there is sometimes only 1 person there).

Turn to the right then go through the door to the left. Go through the gym and kill the bad guys (yes, all bad guy wants a slug through their head!). Through the door, a bad guy is killing an FBI man. You can’t save him, but you sure can avenge his death! Keep going along the main passage and go through the door next to the rubble at the end of the passage. Get a gun out, because through the next door on the left is a bad guy with a shotgun. Kill him and take his ammo and the ammo in the cupboard behind him. In the previous room in the cupboard on the left is a medikit. Go to the rubble at the end of the passage and go through the blown-up door.

After the checkpoint, there are two bad guys in the next room and three bad guys in the room after that. Go down the steps to the left to pick up some shotgun ammo and a medikit. Go back up the stairs then turn left and go through the door. The floor in the next room is rotten on the right, so go to the edge of the left of the hole in floor and kill the two people down there. Go to the right of the hole now so that you fall down with the floor, thus leaving you unscaved. Pick up the ammo and kill the two people up top (sometimes, one of them will come on to the level you are now on, so beware!). Go up the ramp at the end of the passage and pick up the ammo. Go forwards and then right, and a bad guy with a shotgun rolls out in front of the door. After his ‘tragic’ death, two people with pistols come out at the end of the room. Kill them, then go to the end of that room, turn right, then left, then follow the narrow passage until you need to crouch under a brick wall and climb a ladder to complete the level!

Brighton Beach: Awakening

You’re feeling a bit woozy, so follow Janet along the beach. A flashback will kick in. Simply move and you will eventually be found by guards – at which point you will jump off the boat. Once you have escaped the flashback (get used to them) and follow Janet again until you black out. Finished.


Brighton Beach: Invasion

Watch the unfortunate Janet get a nasty knock on the door, then pick up the knife near her body. Throw this at the bad guy by the door – make sure you keep your distance and go for the head. In the back room on the right is a key and a 9mm pistol and ammo. Another clip can be found in the nearby cabinet. Use this to kill the goon with the .44 who comes running around the back of the house. Once he’s dead, collect his weapon and ammo and go back to the door where you knifed the first guard. Exit and pick up the Kalash from his body. Run down the walkway, turn right and finish the two guards down here and collect any stuff.

Run back up the steps and go right, using your pistols on the snipers on the cliffs – run while firing. Watch out for a guard who appears behind you and a knife throwing guard who runs towards you from the marina area. Once this section is clear, run straight past the marina, shooting to the left, and then clear out the truck area – the game highlights an enemy before you enter this zone, so pick him off. Collect any ammo and health from the surrounding buildings and then pick up the keys and press ‘action’ on the truck.



Winslow Bank: Investigation

Go forwards and be polite – no killing. Talk to the clerk, and then go back to the brown door by the guard at the start. Follow the clerk down here and then go right to the end of the room. Turn left and use ‘action’ on the box that is highlighted – cue flashback.

Get away from the blast, then run through the hole it makes in the wall. Go right and go up the ladder and then through the broken mesh into a hole. Drop down and go right and knock out the guard – quietly as he has a .44 magnum. Go up the stairs and dodge past the cops, shooting if necessary. Go up stairs and go through the open door. Use the chair to knock out the guard, and use the balcony.

Walk all the way around the balcony until you reach the next guard who comes out and nark him. Go through the door and overhear the conversation in the directors office. A guard will walk through the room when it’s finished, and hide behind the right hand door – the guard comes in, waiting for a chair leg! Pick up the health here and exit. Go straight through the room and enter the library. Use the ‘sixth sense’ skill to see where the guards are, and dodge and attack accordingly. Go to the opposite end of the room and go through the door. Grab the health and jump on the table, and then jump and enter the grate above.

Jump down and creep forwards and take the lady hostage. Use her card to exit the room, and then use her as a shield in between you and the 3 guards. Slowly make your way right around the balcony until you reach a lift – press the switch and enter the lift and then quickly hit the button. Press A to release the woman. Once on the next level, you will get to fight proper baddies. One of the doors onto the balcony has a full medikit in it. Kill the enemies and then go through a door leading to a stairwell. Turn right and go through the emergency exit. Kill the guard on the stairs and then follow the balcony around to the ladder. Climb up to finish.



FBI Headquarters – Interrogation


Wait for the big explosion to distract Amos and the guards, and then look to your right to see Jones. Exit through the blue door once free and go straight into the dead end corridor near by. Enter the vent here and enter the room – rush to the bottle nearby and use it to knock out the guard who enters the room. Run out the room and knock out the second guard here, making sure it’s very quick! Inside the cabinets in the room is a 9mm pistol and ammo. Open the door on the opposite side of the room and collect the medi kit in this room. Exit and go down to the end of the corridor until you reach a door and some chairs. Pick up a chair and open the door and whack the guard in here. Punch out the boxes in here to reveal another vent – go through.

Exit the first vent and go straight down the hallway. Kill any guys who get in your way. At the last door an FBI agent gets blown through the doorway Go into this room and kill the enemy in here. Exit this room through the other door and go right at the hallway. Kill the chasing enemy, and then enter the second to last door. Open the door on the left side of this office and kill the guard here. There is health in the first office if you need it (probably!). Go back out the offices and go through the last door, the blasted one. Go up the stairs and out of the doors at the top.

Run along these rooms, and this section is all about clearing the room and moving on. Simply be quick and always watch your back – quite often enemies use other doors to enter the room you are fighting in. Carry on through, find a low gap in the wall and climb up the ladder on the other side.



Rooftop - Departure

Go straight up to Jones and wait. She will talk to you twice, and the second time give you the grapple. Use this on the hook she uses hers on. Go up and meet Jones again on the roof. Follow her to cover and use the sniper rifle to kill him off. Use the grapple to descend where she tells you to, and then follow Jones to the door she opens after you kill the enemies. Go in and run around the table and kill the guard there. Follow Jones and go up the stairs. Simply run and jump over the gap and wait for Jones to do so if you are ahead of her. Jones will lockpick the door. Dash inside and headshot the two enemies in here. Health and sniper ammo is in this room. Follow Jones again, and here you need to sniper the enemies across on the other rooftops. They appear on both the left and right hand walls of the far building, so keep an eye out. Once they are dead, follow Jones to the next area. Jump onto the crates to stop yourself falling and dying, and then carry on following Jones. Wait for Jones to finish the guards in a building - 3 enemies will appear after the cut-scene, so take cover and sniper/kill them as quickly as possible. A fourth enemy pops out when you kill the first 3 behind you, so watch out. Follow Jones through the rooms until you hear her get a message and the door is blown inwards – sniper the bazooka soldier through the doorway, then sniper his friends. Run down and go right and kill the guard here. Another guard is often hanging around this area, so cover Jones’s back. Enter inside the building and shoot out the security system on the wall. When she opens the door to the helipad, run right and kill the guards here – quick shotgun blasts should do the trick.

Emerald Military Base - Insertion

Pull out a gun and go forwards, following the path. Kill the stooping guard before he can turn around, then crouch and use the crossbow to shoot one of the guards near the gates. Either use this to kill the others, but watch out for them charging you – shotgun is handy here. Once this area is clear, grab the pick ups from the small booth and then sniper the two guards walking down the path towards you.

Run down past their bodies and sniper the guard to the left of the truck. Use the rifle to kill the second man here, then creep forwards and sniper the red cap you see in front of another large structure. Kill his friend when he charges down, go on and sniper the guard near the chasm. From here sniper the guard on top of the far bridge and the guard on the ridge to your left, across the chasm, if you can see him.

Go into the open door in the large building and use the rifle to clear out the lower area – health and armor are in here. Go up the steps near the crates with armor on them, run across to some crates and the pickups here and shoot the guards that appear on the other side of the gantry area. Flip the switch and then fire a AR grenade downwards to eliminate more troops down below – finish the off with rifle fire.

Go back outside and run to the small room by the chasm. Hit the switch and run across the bridge – sniper the guards higher up if you didn’t before so. Listen to the conversation, then open the door and fire a grenade in to kill the men here/rifle them to finish it off. Run back to the chasm side of the building, jump up and grapple upwards. Sniper the guard across the chasm towards where you came from, and then punch out the grate to finish the level.

Emerald Military Base - Infiltration

This is an extremely fun level. Collect the ammo, then run across the large area towards the crates. Go towards the wall using these as cover, then crouch when you see a gap and a guard the other side. Grab the tool here, creep around and smack his head in. Get out your assault rifle and open the door into the next hut. AR grenade the men inside and this should also destroy the power – simply shoot it out if it doesn’t.
Carry on using the crates, and then sniper the guard next to the next hut. Sniper the guard patrolling the large gates and then enter the small building on the right of the gates. Lockpick in here and kill the power.

Now turn around and go left, towards the large enclosed area. Open the door, and creep right. Quickly eliminate the guard next to the wall, and then proceed through this section sniping the enemies – try to get rid of each one in a hidden place, or at least as quickly as possible. Open the door in the right hand corner of this area – AR grenade the me and kill the power if it isn’t fried already. Go back towards the main cliff and kill the last generator in a small building in this area.

Exit where you came into this enclosed area and turn right. Open this door and eliminate the guards. Go up the ladder, sniper the guard and then run to the end, grapple, and lower yourself downwards to the mesh. Punch it out and enter. Done.


Emerald Military Base - Rescue

Crouch and crawl the only way you can. Once you reach the open venting area, listen in on the conversation. Once the men exit, crawl forwards and punch out the grate and then jump down. Go over to the door and get out the AR. Open the door, turn left and try to kill the guard here as quickly as possible. Dash back inside, use the Sixth Sense to locate the enemy positions, then dash out again and eliminate accordingly – use grenades/AR grenades if possible to kill around corners. The smaller rooms around here contain essential pick ups – armor and health in particular.

Enter the lift and go upwards. Exit and clear out the corridor around the square room – there are normally 2 guards here. Find the almost step like crate configuration with a grate at the top, and enter this. Climb all the way up the ladder and go into the small corridor. Punch out the mesh and use the grapple above you. Now lower yourself downwards when the electricity goes off, but not all the way down. A grenade downwards here is useful to kill the guard. A small window warns you of a guard on the balcony – you simply have to be lightening fast and lower yourself down and look upwards while moving – he could be anywhere, so a quick trigger finger is your best friend here.


You can obtain a Pistol and a Health Kit in this room, and then enter the small door, grab the key card and watch the guards appear. Go to the big double doors and lob a grenade right, followed by a quick dash and fire from your AR. Then go right and kill the guards here. Then go back to the doors you can now open with the card and run into the next room and grab the ammo before getting the health near the crates. Kill the next guard in the next room quickly, then run into the blue room. Follow the hallway around and go in the first left door. Kill all the enemies in here and there are dual 9mm pistols in a cabinet in here. There is also a document and health in this area too. Exit and carry on down the hallway, open the door at the end and collect the health in here. Jump up the crates and access the vent.

Crawl through and go straight down the long corridor of the vent, turn right and punch the grate out and jump down the meet Carrington. Open the door, silently kill the guard that MIGHT be in here, grab the health and armor, and then wait for Carrington to call the guard in if he is outside. Kill him, then open the door and try to snipe a guard – then use the AR to quickly eliminate the enemies that appear.

Follow Carrington up the stairs nearby, and kill the 2 guards – the left hand one rushes you, so watch out. You simply need to run up the left hand stairs and reach the door to end the level.



Emerald Military Base - Extraction

Follow Carrington, then when he stops, turn left to go the other side of the fence and then look towards the guard patrolling near the gates. Run forwards and use the targets as cover – sniper him, then use the sandbags to watch out for the 2 other patrolling guards. Try to snipe one to alert him, then use the AR to finish him off as he charges – they both have helmets meaning they are impossible to kill with headshots.

Run towards the double doors and wait for the ‘tap tap’ to appear. As it passes you, open the door and kill the guard as quickly as possible before ducking and crawling towards the barrier. A guard is hiding behind the sandbags between you and the cable car. Pop up and shoot when you feel it is necessary. Once he is dead, enter the doors to your right, then use the door at the left hand end of the corridor. Kill the guard here, collect, grab the key and then go into the next room, smash the windows and jump out. Run towards the next building, open it and bag the fuse. Wait for Carrington to take cover.

Go the corner of the building outside, and look towards where you started the level. Watch out for 3 guards – 2 on the left, 1 close up and on the right – an AR grenade will kill the 2, a burst for the single man.

Run back to the rooms where you got the key card and put the fuse in the highlighted box. Run through the main room, out the opposite door and up the stairs. Activate the switch on the roof and then run down to Carrington by the cable car. 2 final guards will appear – mow them down, then get the rifle off Carrington. Enter the cable car and prepare for a hectic level!

Rocky Mountains - Interception

Quickly turn around and sniper the 3 guards in the cliff below. (or just ignore them then..) Dash up the red ladder, and grapple onto the hook. Lower yourself down and head for Carrington. You now need to sniper a man on the right hand side of the rock, then an RPG on the cliff ahead, and finally a man on the left hand side.

Follow Carrington into the cave, and use the rock as cover to snipe the men approaching. Once Carrington runs, follow, then watch out for a man appearing behind you on a cliff edge – kill him before he harms Carrington. Carry on and sniper a second RPG man and his aide – he should have a vital full medikit. Run forwards and wait for the windows to show more troops. Spin around and sniper them on the cliff behind. Run back up the hill, and kill the guards attacking Jones. Grab the mounted gun and hold off the enemies – they appear from about 45 degrees to your left all the way to almost 90 degrees on your right – this is tough and you need to hold on to kill about 10 enemies, but you should do it if you remember to heal!



Kellownee Lake - Exploration

Run forwards and wait to hear the conversation. Wait for the guards to approach, then kill them. Kill the two others, then go left through the small canyon. Run left as you hear another conversation and you see a boat and lower ice flats. Kill the two men here and grab the medi kit and notes in the second boat - the Mongoose escapes for now. Turn around and take the right hand path upwards. You will hear more guards speaking – use the shotgun to kill two, then advance further to kill two more. Run up the small hill to the right and get the medikit. A guard with an Uzi will appear – kill him.

Run back to the ice field and jump across it. Don’t fall in the water! On the other side 2 guards appear – kill them with the Magnum as quickly as possible and then run up the slope. Use the cliffs on the right and go through the small passage. Keep going right to kill the lost troops and reach the lookout area. Look out to the open area in the trees and go forwards into this. A cut-scene will interrupt, showing you to be surrounded – simply break out of the circle in the same direction you want to go, and kill off the enemies as they come at you.

Run towards the large log and look left. Go down this passage and around the waterfall – snipe the guard on the cliffs to your right. Follow the path to finish the level.


Kellownee Lake - Search & Rescue

Run downwards into the cabin and meet Kim. Listen to the cut scene, then watch Kim escape. Grab all the health/armor/ammo from the shelves, then go to the door/windows that you came in to the cabin through.

The enemies will attack the cabin from the cliffs on the right, in front and the floor area to the front and left – sniper the RPG troops on the cliffs and then simply cut down any advancing soldiers. The battle ends when you kill all the enemies – often you will need to sniper well hidden enemies on the cliffs. Shoot the helicopter down with concentrated fire, or just sniper the men on board. Use the shelves to restore any stuff if you need to. Once the battle ends, run.

Run out the blown up wall, go right and kill any guards. You will fall into a hole and an RPG shell will trigger an avalanche. Bugger.




Plain Rock Penitentiary - Detention

Watch the conversations, then follow the guards – make sure you keep following to avoid being hit – the stairs are a problem some times – when he says get down there, get down there! Be careful not to go to far ahead as well.

Once inside the shower/locker room, grab a broom or bottle and smash in the two guards. Pick up the key and go into the small room nearby. Collect pickups and then climb up the crates (smashing the small boxes) to enter a vent. Go in and use the blue/black venting to go around the room towards another vent. Smash it and enter, and then drop down and kill the guard here – most likely the other two guards will be outside, so grab a 9mm and kill them. Pick up the health, keys and ammo, then exit.

If you go back to the cell blocks, you can find a lot of helpful equipment, most notably a full medikit – vital really. Go back to the stairway door, but either go left or right and unlock the doors. Go up the stairs to a barred corridor. Kill off the guard here, enter and dash forwards into an alcove. Try to kill the patrolling guards, then crouch and use the crosshair signals to find and kill the guards on the balconies above – you can enter the room and run to the 2 doors on either side to find a sniper rifle and ammo to help you here, and much needed health. Once this room is emptied, go across it to the main doors and go into the lift. Go upwards.

Go forwards, sniper the man in the far tower, and then kill the shotgun guards from afar with the rifle if possible, the pistol if not. Watch out for a second soldier on the upper walkways/tower and then go around the area to enter a second large door. Crawl through the shaft area and kill the escaped prisoner. Drop down what appears to be a large shaft into water. Swim through and climb up the ladder.


Plain Rock Asylum - Fugitive

Go through the doors, then the double doors and turn right into a large room. Pick up the medikit and exit through the door on the left. Listen to the conversation, then go back and enter the newly opened door – kill the guard in here and nabble all the stuff inside. Run back to the door you saw the doctor/receptionist talking through, then open it. This is tough. Crouch and crawl around the desk area to the other side. You then need to dash over to the door on the left and use the card. Dash inside the first door on the left and prepare to kill if the alarm was raised. Either way, exit and go right and enter the large double doors. Go straight across the hallway and into the opposite doors. Knock out the doctor. Go through the next door and get the medikits. Go down the corridor, killing the guards as you go – the sniper rifle is useful here, but make sure you save some of its ammo here. Go through the double doors at the end of the large corridor.

Turn right and go through the door into the incinerator room. Go through the left hand door and knock out the 2 medical staff in the next room. Grab any pickups and then use the cabinets to climb up to and enter the vent. Get to the end and run around the inner roof area. You will fall down and have to face crazy Dr. Johansson.

This guy is easy as long as you stop him grabbing the vials off the wall and keep up the pressure on him – headshots with the shotgun work very well, and make sure you use obstacles to stop him charging you and making you go woozy with his syringe. There is a full and small medikit in his room – grab the first then kick his butt. Once XX is down, go to the picture behind his desk, watch the flashback and then open the safe. Grab all the stuff, then free the nurse. Use her as a hostage.

You know have to use her to get past the guards to where the doctor left the building at the start. Simply headshot the guards as you approach them, release the nurse in the reception area and kill the guard once he opens to door. Run outside and exit the level.


Plain Rock Canyon - Getaway


Grab the Medi Kit and grapple up and over the wall. Jump down the other side, and get out the sniper rifle if you have any ammo left, if not use another gun. Duck down behind the low barrier to get some 5.56mm ammo, then sniper/kill the enemy ahead. Kill the guard on the cliff behind him, then run forwards, look up, and kill the man above the grapple point, then sniper another guard who ducks in and out of sight behind him, on another ledge.

Grapple upwards, run forwards and get the sniper rifle ready. Edge round in zoomed mode until you see the middle RPG man – sniper him quickly, then move forwards a tiny bit and look left to sniper the left hand man. The third soldier is harder. Collect all the armor etc, then either dash past him, to the right while shooting him, or try and sniper him. Either way, kill the man on the lower level, and run past this area out to the right.

Run up the ledge and shoot the guard that appears in the opening of one of the arches. Jump into the middle arch and go up the edge of the cliff. Collect the ammo/grenades and go around the corner and drop down to the lower levels. Save at the checkpoint, then try to kill the lower guard with a grenade. Snipe the enemies on the far side of the area, then run downwards and crawl through the area. 2 more RPG men are up ahead. Run forwards and snipe the first man up in front of you. To kill the second, pull out a fast gun and run looking right, all the time moving across the canyon then towards him – kill him as fast as possible. Collect the health at the top.

Kill the enemy across the chasm. Use the zip wire to cross the canyon, watching out for enemies immediately back and to your left. Use the second zip wire for pickups, and then go right from the first to reach the next cable. Kill the enemies here, then go downwards – you can’t go back! Kill the RPG man down here and then get out your own RPG and move towards the small slope – there are several men here and the RPG is ideal for getting rid of them quickly. Several more groups of enemies appear, so be patient. Get out the Kalash, grab the armor and ammo, and run the way the enemies came.


Go up the slope nearby and turn around and kill the guy next to the pole. Go up to the pole and kill the enemy opposite. Take the zip wire across the canyon and enter the mines. Turn left in here and your way is barred behind you. Punch the barriers out and exit.


Grand Canyon Valley - Escape

Go forwards towards the cable poles. Go across the canyon quickly as possible. Grab the ammo here and go down the slope by the cliff. Pick off the enemies below using the rifle and then walk straight down. Work your way forwards, sniping enemies on the distant ledges, and watch out for RPG soldiers on sharp corners up above you. Kill the two enemies at the end of the long chasm, then grapple upwards. Go right to get health and ammo, then run along the ledge to the left. Kill the 2 enemies who approach, then jump over and snipe anyone across the chasm and below you.

Go back to where you jumped over, and fall onto the ledge. Fall down to the second ledge and kill the enemies. Drop down again to the chasm floor and kill the 2 guys here. Run forwards and climb up the ladders, sniping the guy at the top. Go forwards and windows will warn you of two more guys.

Sniper the RPG man on the left, then the normal guy on the right. Run up towards where you killed him, and watch out for a guy hiding just beneath his position. Turn left and kill the guy hiding in the ruined building. Go upwards and along the path on the back wall of the canyon. Go into the dead snipers position, drop down and kill the man here. Smash through the barriers, run down to the Harrier and sniper the man who appears and above, behind and to the left of you. Press ‘Action’ on the Harrier to Whhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooshhh!


SPADS Military Base - Covert Operation

Go over to the cliff, dive and enter the pipe next to the searchlight. Follow it the only way you can, and surface and look up and listen to the conversation. Once the men have dispersed, grapple up and immediately run behind the small console/crate area and flip the switch. Either wait for the guard to go back across the bridge or sniper him, and then jump back in the water and this time turn right and entering this pipe. While swimming down the long straight bit of pipe, turn first right and surface to breathe again. Listen to the conversation, then go back and turn right and carry on down the tunnel.

Use the highlighted alcove to exit the tunnel, and climb up onto the side of the huge chasm. Sniper the two men patrolling on the bridges high above, and then grapple right across the valley, using the ledges. Once you reach the end, run up the slope, turn right and follow the fence around to the steaming pipe. Listen to the conversation, crouching down just to make sure, and then break the mesh and enter the pipes.


SPADS Military Base - Sabotage

Swim right along the tunnel, surface and climb up the ladder. Watch the flashback, and then collect the ammo and stuff in the lockers. Now listen to the singing man. Beautiful eh? Haha.

Open the double windows at the left hand end of the room and climb out. Follow the cliff behind the huts along until you can see the security station. Snipe anyone in here, and then snipe the man in the tower to the right of where you entered the area. Sniper anyone else on the ground level. This is effectively the pattern for the rest of the level from then on. Watch out for a final guard who enters the area from the larger hangar like building across the open area – a bolt to the head will deal with him.

Enter the hangar type building, finish the guard in here (the silenced pistol is your new best friend) and go to the next door at the opposite end. Open the door and sniper the guard walking near the brick fortification thing, and then kill the guard to his direct right and there is also one patrolling further on near the metal door and the bamboo trees. There is health and ammo in the brick area, and then go to the metal door. Save and go into the next area.

Go up to the nearest hut, get your crossbow ready and set it on the left hand guy of the two having a conversation about food ‘problems’. Wait for the conversation to end, and then snipe the right hand guard very quickly as he comes towards your position. Leave the other two guards in sight alone, and then snipe the man in the tower. Turn left-ish and run down behind the huts to the guard station. Snipe the man in here, and then snipe the other man from the conversation, who by now will have walked down to this area. Go back to your first sniping point, and then look out for a final guard across the area, to the right of the area near a hut. Kill him when you can.

Enter the next hangar and collect the health. Now open the door and snipe the man directly in front of you (do this quickly, before he moves), and then the man in the tower behind him. Move forwards, run right to the tower, then turn right and right again until you are the other side of the beige tent (McCall’s tent) and snipe the guard who should be next to the entrance. Finally kill the guard who patrols over to the right of the entry point to this section, and then move ALL the bodies on the ground (you can’t get the tower guy) into the previous area of huts and towers etc.

Then run back into the tent area, enter the beige tent from behind and collect the health and documents. Go into the main tent area and plant the bug. Immediately run back into the smaller crate area of the tent and crouch – watch out though, as a guard watches the back entrance from the outside, so be careful. Once the conversation is over pick up the card and documents, and then use the pistol to kill the guard who will be standing near the main entrance, and go forwards to the next warehouse, killing the guard near the door.

Enter, save and go to the next door. Kill the three guards here quickly, and then snipe the man on the tower and run over to the large building with warning signs on it. Run to the left of it and around and kill the two men here. Run in, plant the bomb and run back out to the huts to end the level.

SPADS Military Base – Destruction

Kill the remaining soldiers in this area, then run very quickly to the brick area in front of you to the right and grab the machine gun emplacement. Kill the guards who appear from the door – watch out for them encircling you here. It is perhaps easier to use the AR to kill off this wave. Either way, kill all 6 of them and go into the same door you entered in the previous level.

Exit the hangar type building and kill the 2 guards to the left of the green tent. Walk forwards and kill the enemy to the right of the green tent and go straight through to the next area. There are some guards in here, so be prepared! Save and go on.

Run straight through the next area, right up to the hut nearest the door. Set the sniper sights at about head height on the door and wait. Kill the unfortunate man who walks in, and then run forwards. In the next bit, open the door and sniper the man who walks straight towards you just after you open to door. Wait a few seconds and his friend should run up to his body – kill him as quickly as possible and collect the medikit from the first mans body.

Next up, McCall. He is hard but obviously do-able. After he finishes blabbering, run straight to the guard hut, grab the medikit and back to where you started. Use the AR to pepper him – keep on using bursts of fire each time the crosshairs see him. He appears in between the 1st and 2nd buildings, the 2nd and 3rd and then he runs out to the crates, before running around the back of the 4th hut to repeat the circle. Use any AR grenades/Frag grenades on him when you know where he is. Otherwise KEEP YOUR DISTANCE and use short bursts when you see him in your sights.

Once he is dead, collect the ammo/M60/key, identify him and the go left and enter the blue door the your right.
