JAK 2 WALKTHROUGH
I have written this walkthrough to help you know the best ways to defeat the various creatures throughout the game as I know some can be quite hard to beat.

GLUB
These are found mainly in the swamps and sewers with a lot of the around the Pumping Station. Their main mode of attack is to leap forward and hit you. Stop this opponent by hitting it with a well-aimed spin attack. It only takes one hit to kill this animal. One hit from it well take one energy unit off you. They can also be easily killed by any of your firepower.

ZNORKLE TOOTH
Are found in all the same places as the Glub. They will usually waddle towards you and hit you with their tongue. These strange animals can be killed by two hits or more effectively using a gun on them.

FODDER
These are found in the tomb. They will try and sneak up on you from under the water but you should clearly see their fins. You can counter their mediocre attacks with the use of firepower. Fairly easy enemy to overcome.

SPIDER
These are also found in the tomb. They will run around in a mad dash then pounce on you at their first sighting of you. They are usually found in groups and have quite a good attack but then again one kick or pumping them with lead (or weird energy bolts as the case may be) will easily kill them.

HOPPER
Are found in the Mountain Temple. Don’t think because its covered in armour that it will be hard to kill as one hit at them will have them on their back. They do tend to hunt in groups however so use your trusty red gun to wipe out a bunch of them at once.

MANIC HEAD
These are the first type of Metal Head you will meet in the game and you can find them at the Pumping Station, Mountain Temple and at the dig. They will waddle toward you with no fear and ready to attack so shoot them twice to kill them and show them who’s boss.

GRUNT
Found in sewers, strip mine, dead town and drill platform. These are quite dumb animals. They are more heavily plated than most other types of metal heads. It takes up to 3 hits to kill them and they usually attack in small groups. It is better to attack them with your guns from a distance rather than up close and personal.

RAM HEAD
Only found at the mountain temple, these rhino looking creatures will angrily charge towards you to, well ram you. Run quickly to the side and run to the direction from which it came. Once at a safe distance turn around and take aim with your blaster. The beast will turn to face you exposing its weak point, the stomach. Shoot it and repeat this process until its dead.

HOSEHEAD
Are found in the sewers. These are usually found in a group of 3 and are quite annoying. You won’t be able to combat it with your fists or feet because of its special ability, it fires a continuous laser from its head. The laser usually sweeps from left to right. To kill it duck down in a small pool or something and try and notice a sequence the 3 lasers from the 3 creatures. With any safe opportunity target one of them and kill it with your blue or red gun, continue until they are all dead.

STINGER
Found in the strip mine, dead town and at the dig. This armour plated scorpion thing has one attack which is to run in a zigzag direction towards you and sting you. They always attack in a group and as long as you see them running towards you, you will always have time to shoot them as long as you’re quick about it.

METAL JACKET
Are found in the strip mine only. These creatures can be quite annoying as they shoot you from behind with energy balls. Most of the time they will attack from a distance so if you use the yellow gun on them it should do the job.

GINSU
Only found at the drill platform these creatures look as if they can fly but only drag along the ground. They constantly spin metal blades around their bodies so you can forget about punching or kicking this creature instead blast it with your red gun as it circles your body.
WASPS
Found only at the drill platform. Usually found at the gun turrets. They can absorb quite a few hits and will shoot a laser back at you. They can cause problems if several approach you at once but on the bright side you will usually have extra firepower when facing these creatures,

SPYDER GUNNER
Found at the pumping station and at haven forest, these creatures have a built in weapon that can fire at high speeds however they are extremely inaccurate. They always shoot at their own feet before directing its fire at you. Hit the creature when it is shooting towards the ground as it will repeat this whole process when hit which means you can easily kill it when you get your first hit in.

MANTIS
Only found at the nest these are noticeably the fastest metal head. These will jump out from behind things and hop around like maniacs. Use your red scatter gun and shoot in their direction and a few will fall down from above then shoot them.

FLYING SPIDER
Again only found in the nest, these animals will lie on the ground and shoot you. Its movement is quite limited so they will either turn slowly on the spot to face you or crawl slowly towards you. It is quite sluggish and so you should find it easy to outsmart it and land the required amount of hits to kill it.

JUICE GOON
Found at the pumping station, these creatures have energy rods that are alike those of the Krimson Guard. If you spot them from a distance you can use this to your advantage and shoot them from a distance. Just one piece of advice. Do your best NOT to get surrounded or well your screwed.

STALKER
Found at the mountain temple and drill platform, you will never see them with companions so you have an advantage that there is no chance of a group attack from them. They are very strong and have a weird shield that makes them virtually indestructible, but not quite. They lower their shield a bit and leave you with the chance to strike. Dodge their attack by doing a double jump then shoot at the same time , a couple of shots with your blaster and that's it. Although you can use close combat against them it is a bit risky and I don't advise it.

RAPID GUNNER
Only found in dead town these freaks have a firearm that fires at quite a fast speed. This metal heads main form of attack is to shoot at you fast. They usually stick to their ground and the only way to dispose of them is to jump to the side to avoid their oncoming fire and shoot before they shoot.

SLING BLASTER
Found in dead town and at the dig. It will sling energy balls at you if you get too close. It can hurl the balls quite far and take a beating as well. It is also dead accurate. An advantage is that the energy balls move at quite a slow pace so you can easily move out of the way. There are two methods you can use to kill it. The best is to use your blue gun and the other is to run towards them with guns blazing. The first way is probably the best.

KRIMZON GUARD
Populate haven city and the dig. These aren’t anything special. On their own they are merely a pest that can easily be dealt with but in groups with their energy rod guns you won’t last very long. To deal with groups use quick dodge manoeuvres and rapid shooting.

I will now guide you on how to beat all the annoying bosses as I know they can be quite hard.

BOSS ONE - BARON AT PALACE
Just a point to begin with. You will notice that in each corner of the three stages there are boxes. These contain yellow ammo and reappear every once in a while. One of the boxes in the final part of him contains health so get that if you can. Anyway the baron will begin by firing twin guns at you. Run to one of the sides from where he is shooting as when he begins shooting in one direction he doesn’t and so you should be safe for a while. The best gun to use for this boss is the yellow gun. When you have jumped out of the way from his onslaught of bullets you can shoot him. A hit will be indicated by a blue flash but you can’t hit him twice in succession (I know it sucks.) When he has his shield up only a small amount of damage is inflicted and it could take ten hits to get his life depleted by one third. There will be times when he flies into a big machine and replenishes his shield. It’s a good idea to hit him here as he can’t hit you back. You should make it onto the second section without much bother. In this section he will fire rocket style thing at you. It’s easy to tell where the rockets will land as a red target marks their landing point. Keep running until he stops attacking then fill him with yellow bolts. This is the easiest part of him and you should easily get onto the third section. In this section he shoots fireballs which follow you and he tries to ram you. The best way to kill him is just dodge the fireballs and jump out of the way of his charge and then shoot him . The good thing about this part is he no longer has an energy shield so it only requires five hits to put this boss to bed.

BOSS 2 - BARON IN MARS TOMB
The baron will begin the first section by setting out mini spider robots. Simply blast these things away. If you stand at one side of the path and work your way along it you can dispatch of the spiders a lot safer as they can only attack from one direction. The baron will then throw a number of bombs along the pathway meant for you but you will use them against him. Run over to the bombs and kick them in the direction of the baron and they will explode on him. It takes just four bombs to move onto the next stage. For the second stage the baron will unleash more spiders on you then he will leave the precursor stone, fly towards the pillars and shoot at you. Simply hide behind on of the pillars and they will take the shots. He will then fly back to his position and throw more bombs at you. Just repeat the same process as in stage one to defeat him. By stage three the baron has the precursor stone and uses it to destroy part of the bridge. He will then throw two bombs at you which you just kick back at him. He will continue to shoot at you and destroying parts of the bridge. Again just hide behind one of the pillars and kick any bombs he throws back at him. After four bombs it is mission accomplished.

BOSS 3 - KREW
That's right fat boy has turned on you. From the get go Krew will hover outside the platform and out of reach and send in little green things to attack you. They are a lot slower than you but if they hit you its a costly two energy bars. Use your red or blue weapon to get them. Or if you want to wipe out a bunch at a time use your purple gun. Once you have all these green things wiped out Krew will come in. Use your yellow or blue gun on Krew and after a bit he will fly out again with all them green annoying buggers fighting for him. Again just wipe out all these green things to get Krew again and just repeat this process. All three of his stages are exactly the same and get no harder as you progress. Krew himself is simple to kill as long as you can survive the green things you’ll find this fight a walk in the park.

FINAL BOSS - THE METAL HEAD LEADER.
In the first two stages of this fight won’t be very involved in the fight, you just need to be careful when his mouth lights up. When this happens he will shoot a large beam at you which can be avoided by jumping to the right or left,
At the very beginning he will make all these eggs fall around the room which hatch into stingers and run toward you , just kill them. You shouldn’t have any bother. Fire at the bosses face but make sure you have a view that you will be able to see any stingers running toward you. The best way to deal with the stingers is via the red gun as you can take a few out at once. The best gun for the boss is the blue gun and after blasting him in the face with this his energy level will deplete by one third. The yellow gun is more effective to use on this boss albeit a lot slower. Time for part two. You will instantly notice that there are fewer stingers around this time unfortunately there will be wasps flying around you this time. Basically do the same this time around, kill his helpers, shoot his head. Remember once his head lights up get out of the way as it means danger. For the third stage the boss will jump from his usual position and chase you firing three shots in a row. To avoid these run around the track in circles and when you are a considerable distance from him shoot him like there is no tomorrow and start running again when he gets too close. Repeat this and he will be killed meaning you just completed the game. WHOO HOO!!

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
