Retro Game Walkthroughs for Worms 3D (PC Games)
Submitted By: Dringo
Aha the worms are back and are fighting fit in 3D. But what is this? You can’t do the first 12 campaign levels? well don’t worry my friend you’ve come to the right place!

Campaign mission walkthroughs:

1: D-Day

So those worms think they’re smart do they? Making you climb the beach whilst they fire whatever they fancy in your direction? Never feat, Jet Packs are here. To start with the best idea is to clamber up the beach and when a crate falls collect it to reveal Jet Packs, now all you need to do is jet pack to the top of their fortress and kick some worm rectum. This level is very easy so for an extra challenge why not try to win without the jet packs? To get a gold rating do it as quickly as you can and completing this unlocks the D-Day level in deathmatch and the first deathmatch challenge.

2: Crate Britain

This level just isn’t funny… it’s plain boring. Run and jump your way to the utility, which you can, do straight away and then use the jet pack to fly over and collect the important crate…. Done? How about 3 turns to get you a Gold rating? Good you’ve now unlocked Boggy Pete in Wormpedia and the Crate Britain deathmatch level.

3: Grave Digger

Highly annoying but pretty easy if you know what to do. First off you’ll need to collect all the crates you can find which can be a tad tricky, there is one round the back of the house on a small grave, blow this for an Easter egg. Place the grenades from the crates on the 1st and 3rd grave on the left and the 3rd and 4th on the right, once done collect the crates and you’re done. Don’t get a wrong grave and you’ll achieve a gold rating. If you get the Easter egg you’ll unlock the Horror voice and the horror theme in the Wormpedia… completing the level gets the gravedigger deathmatch level.

4: A leak in the Vegetable patch

Ohh a tough one, the water is rising and your worms will all die if you are not quick. So collect the teleports and send yourself to the highest point (in this case the spade), now teleport 2 more worms onto the fence. Now with your incredible skill knock the opponents who are high up in to the water and wait for the water to rise, destroying your enemy. This can be quite fun and if you do it fast, keeping 3 worms alive you are looking at a gold rating unlocked the A leak in the Vegetable patch deathmatch level and the shotgun challenge 2.

5: Ice Ice Maybe

Now things are getting tricky. Get the crate at the side of the mountain, then run and jump getting the next crate and hide behind a tree so to avoid getting hurt. Get the next crate and now stay behind the fridge, once again avoiding injury. Now you have to jump on the wires, a little tricky and make your way to the switch. If the timer is about to run out use your ability to freeze yourself, doing this stops you from getting shot off the wire. Doing this gets you the Ice Ice Maybe deathmatch level and you’ll have to do it in 4 turns to gain the gold rating, ouch.

6: When Annelids collide

Move your worm up to the top and fire punch J into the watery depths beneath, now stay by the wall where dear ol’ J once stood. It is now your mission to bring the next worm from around the house in order to fire punch Capt'n Harsh so he can suffer the same fate as poor J, stay behind the house so the worm on the island cannot get to you. HA! Worm number 3 now has to move to where dear ol’ Capt'n Harsh was hiding and use your lovely bazooka to knock "freq Nasty" into the water, keep hidden from the final enemy. Now it’s back to your first worm, bring him back up from where he is by using the ledges under the bridge and clamber across to the worm entitled normal, now dynamite him and if he isn’t quite dead finish the bugger off with a shotgun or however you fancy. Keep your worms alive and do the level in 5 turns to achieve the all important gold rating and doing the level will attain the When Annelids collide deathmatch level.

7: Rum Deal

Not too tough, jet pack around and collect all the crates in one go getting you a gold rating and unlocking the Jet Pack challenge 1 and the Spadge and music section of the Wormpedia.

8: Earn your crust

First off jump off the roof, now see the worm next to the barrel? Good, shoot in-between him and the barrel and watch the critter go swimming with the fishes. Now jump over to the worm at the bottom of the windmill using the good ol’ fire punch to send him swimming, now jet pack to the worm at the end of the bridge and once again use the fire punch to send him into the river. And finally jet pack around the back of the windmill to collect those all-important crates and land on the roof where Boggy Pete is standing and punch him in the water. This gets you the Earn your crust deathmatch level, if you kept all yours worms alive and did it in 4 turns you’ve got yourself a Gold rating too.

9: Apple Core Island

A tad tough, move your worm via the traditional running and jumping method to get to the utility and hide, now once done get the next utility on your next go and jet pack to the crate. By doing this in two turns gets you the elusive gold medal and unlocks the Apple Core Island deathmatch level.

10: Helter Skelter

Clamber to the top of the tower and collect all the bazookas, once done you can kill jamie by shooting him into the water. In turn 2 climb around the top and kill gorgia, like the first, in one shot. Parachute down to the final worm and shoot him off too, if that fails try again. This will get you gold and the Helter Skelter level.

11: Take Me Cherry

Ignoring the dodgy title and get your first worm to the utility place… or as far as you can go. Next 2 girls commit suicide with your worms, collect the crate with your first worm again and use the homing missile on the enemy, this gets you the Take My Cherry level and a gold rating.

12: In space no-one can hear you clean

First off you’ll need to Jet over to the spaceship with the crate on it, now use the evil weapon of poke to send the worm to his/her doom. On yours second go you’ll need to Jet almost directly opposite and use the dastardly poke once again, knocking the worm into the water, avoid knocking the critter onto the planet. Jet to the right poking the worm off on your third go and as for your fourth jet over and stand under the very last worm near the back end off the rocket, use your fire punch in an upwards motion that should catch him and send him flying. You have just got a gold medal and Jet Pack challenge 2 and the lost missions section of your Wormpedia.

The Weapon and Utility guide
Written by Discodexy for: ukwalkthroughs.com

Part One- Introduction
Part Two- The guide to weapons
Part Three- The guide to utilities
Part Four- Tips followed by the end.

Part One: Introduction.

Hello there, in this guide you will learn which weapons do what, how to use a weapon more effectively and how much damage the weapon can potentially do. This guide will also cover worm utilities like the much loved jetpack.
This guide was written for the PC version of the game, but in theory you could use this guide for any format. Thanks for reading so lets get on with the guide; the sooner you learn the way of the worm, the sooner you and Kick some slimy bootie on Wormnet.

Part Two: The idiots guide to Weapons!

Let’s jump straight in; here is the detailed list of weapons:

------------------------------------------------------------------
Bazooka.
The bazooka is a good weapon, and you normally are granted a infinite supply of these in multiplayer mode. Although they don’t kick out a high amount of damage, the bazooka is very effective of knocking a worm a long way, causing the worm to fly into the water. The bazooka is also useful for knocking chucks out of the landscape.

The bazooka is affected by the wind, which some times is a advantage, or a disadvantage.
If you fire it vertically into the air, the wind will guide your bazooka, and you might get a lucky hit, on a enemy worm, behind the mountain.

The maximum damage is around 45.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Mortar.
In my eyes, the mortar is useless – Yet the computer controlled characters seem to make good use of it. The best way to use a mortar is to fire it into the air, and upon explosion watch the clusters fall onto your enemies like an air strike. Of course the clusters are affected by the wind, so if there is any wind, be careful.

The maximum damage is 10 per cluster, and should only really be used as a last resort!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Homing missile.
The homing missile is a great weapon if used correctly. You must mark your target using the blimp view, and then fire the homing missile into the air, make sure you hold LEFT CLICK long enough, to give your missile maximum power. Once in the air, the missile will come down onto its target. And dish out a bazooka type damage.

The maximum damage is 45, and is also affected be the wind – be careful.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Homing pigeon!
The Homing pigeon is a little bit better than a homing missile. The Pigeon will avoid obstacles like hills, and 9 time out of ten will beg to your target hassle free. Just one click and the pigeon will set off, so there is no need to hold the button down. Use wisely, because pigeons are normally hard to come by.

The maximum damage is normally 75. Try taking out a few enemies at once with the pigeon, because the damage dealt is great.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Grenade.
Grenade is a all time favourite of the worms series. When your aiming for a worm, always aim that little bit higher, because grenades fall the further your throw them.
If you are throwing your grenades a long distance set a fuse for 5 seconds by using the number 5 key. Grenades are not affected by the wind, which is a good thing.

Another useful tip is to use the grenade and a mini dynamite stick, set the fuse to 5, then do a runner!

The maximum damage is 45, but if you plant it next to some mines, who knows you might get double that.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Cluster Bomb.
Just another “mortar” in disguise- another useless weapon. The best way to make use of this weapon is to throw it in the air with a short fuse, and get the clusters to fall on your foes – Just like the mortar. The only difference is that this is not affected by the wind.

Maximum damage of 10 per cluster, and another 10 if the grenade hits the worm.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Gas Canister.
One of my favourite weapons, best used if your enemies are in a bunch. Throw it grenade style into your enemy and when it explodes the worm will become sick and lose 3 healths every go until the worm reaches 1 health point.

Maximum damage of 3 per go.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Holy hand grenade!
One of the most powerful grenades in the game. This grenade will dish out some heavy damage and send the enemy worm flying high into the sky, so when the worm lands again, it will take a lot of falling damage too, or it might even fall into the water!

The Holy grenade will also take a huge chunk of landscape, so you could destroy somebody’s underground tunnel with ease.

The maximum damage for the hand grenade alone is 100, but then when you add falling damage, you might be looking at 130!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Banana bomb!
The banana bomb is great for taking out lots of worms in one fell swoop. Throw it like a grenade, and when it explodes, it will release 5 extra bananas. The original banana will cause 55 damage, and the other banana’s will cause 75 damage, leaving all the surrounding worms either damaged or quaking in their boots! This will take out at least half of the landscape, and will probably win the game for you!

**beware, this bounces, so it might bounce over your target and kill an ally! Take this into account before you use it, or better still take a tutorial!

The maximum damage (take a breath) is 55 x (75x5) = 430! If you manage to see a bunch of enemies, use this immediately!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Sticky bomb.
This is a new addition to the worms’ series, and let me tell you, it’s a bobby dazzler!
The sticky bomb is thrown in the same way you could throw any grenade and will stick to the 1st thing it touches. The all time favourite is to stick it so a worm and watch the worm gulp in fear, but a good tip is to stick it next to the worm, and the explosion will send the worm flying, over the cliff.

The Maximum damage isn’t that good, but it’s highly entertaining. You’ll get 40 damage from one of these babies!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Uzi gun.
The Uzi can fire a burst of powerful shots totalling in a nice damage of 60. If your clever enough you can use the arrow keys and shoot two worms, which is nice if both worms only 30 health left.

Maximum damage is 60 per burst; spread between 2 worms is 30 damage per worm, which isn’t bad at all.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Petrol bomb.
Also know as Molotov Cocktails in Games like Max Payne!
You throw this weapon just like a grenade, and when it touches the ground it will make a large fire on the ground. The fire will stay there for a few turns, so it will stop most worms getting past, creating a fire wall!

Maximum Damages: If you throw it at a worm its 20 damage. If the worm stays on a flame it will cause 3 or 4 damage per second. You play with fire and you get burnt!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Shotgun.
The best thing about a Shotgun is you’ll get 2 shots. So you can use one shot on one worm, and then use your remaining round time to got to the other side of the map, and shoot another worm. The shotgun can know a worm back a fair distance, so shoot worms off cliffs for maximum effect, and maximum laughs.

Maximum damage is 25 per shot, 50 in total.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Blowpipe.
Not as useless as the mortar, but still pretty useless. You aim this pipe at a enemy worm and fire. The worm will become poisoned. Like the gas canister, but it doesn’t do as much damage!

Maximum damage is 1 per go – rubbish.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Prod
Good for pushing worms into mines, or off a cliff!

Maximum damage Zero!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Fire punch.
A fire punch will basically punch a worm, and cause 30 damage. If your below a worm you can also use this punch, and your automatically jump up, and cut through the land to reach the worm above. It has many uses, but if you miss, you’ve wasted a go – so be careful.

Maximum damage is 30…
------------------------------------------------------------------
Baseball bat!
It’s a great weapon for whacking those worms far fast and high. Aim up, and left click, then just watch the enemy soar. Make sue there is a cliff edge, or water near by because you ought to be using the baseball bat for knocking a worm outta there!

Maximum damage of 30.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Viking axe.
The axe is great for cutting a worm’s full health in half. If you didn’t know already the Viking axe takes off half the damage of the enemy’s health. The the enemy is on 100, you’ll knock 50 off. If the enemy is on 30 you’ll only know 15 off.

Maximum damage depends, read above. On average the most is 50, the least is 1.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Land mine.
Does exactly what it says on the tin! Either place it near a worm for a dynamite effect, or place it somewhere where a unsuspecting enemy will walk. Either way its up to you.

The maximum damage for one of these mines is 55.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Dynamite.
If you’ve got a stick of dynamite, then your laughing. Just like the mine above, walk to where you want to plant it, and then left click. The Dynamite will drop, and you’ll have chance to run. You should try and set the fuse to 5 f you remember, it will give you more chance to retreat.

Maximum damage is 75, but as with the Holy hand grenade it should send the worm into space if used correctly.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Sheep bomb.
A sheep bomb has only one purpose, and that’s to destroy anything you tell it to!
Face the direction you want your sheep to walk, and then click. The sheep will do its best to jump over obstacles. Then your happy with your sheep’s position, click again and the sheep will explode. Beware though; the sheep will explode after about 10 seconds if you don’t manually click.

Another great use for a sheep is a create collector. If your sheep runs into a create that weapon will become available on your inventory, which is always nice to know.

The maximum damage is 70.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Super sheep!
It’s a tricky weapon to handle, but once you’ve got the hang, you’ll have a super weapon!
Set your sheep off running in the normal fashion, then click again to set your sheep a flight! Control your sheep with the WASD and arrow keys, and drive your sheep into something for a explosion. You can also click a 3rd time, to make your sheep fall and explode.

You’ve only got 20-30 seconds flying time before it self detonates so use it wisely, if your passing, and you good at flying, you can collect some creates on the way!

Maximum damage is 75.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The old woman.
Those old women, walking around town feeding the pigeon’s and sitting in front of you on the bus, gassing you out with there horrible perfume. Team 17 have once again given us the chance to blow these “old women” up, and using them as powerful weapons!

Like the sheep bomb, face the direction, and left click. The Old lady will set off walking, slowly. After 10 seconds she’ll explode.

The maximum damage is usually 70-75.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Mad Cow (s).
Sometimes you’ll carry more than one cow. If you have 3 for example press number 3, and you’ll be able to set 3 cows off walking in a row! These cows are just like sheep, but you can sometimes set more than one off. The only difference is that cows don’t jump, so set them off on flat land.

Maximum damage is 75 per cow!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Mega mine
A Mega mine is just the same as a land mine, and can be used exactly the same. Either plant it next to somebody, or plant it somewhere where your enemy is most likely to walk. Mega mine does more damage.

The Maximum damage is normally 70, but if it explodes near a oil drum expect that to double!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Earth Quake.
The earthquake does no damage at all, but it shakes the land so hard, all the worms (including yours) may fall off. Make sure your worms are in a safe place, girder your self in a box, or failing that stand in the middle of the land. Summon a earthquake and watch the enemies roll about, into landmines, and off the edge!

Maximum damage: Zero damage, but more than likely that someone will fall of the edge.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Nuclear test.
This weapon basically poisons everybody on the map. Including your own!

Maximum damage 5 per go.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The last four weapons are all used in blimp view (key E)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Air strike!
Go into blimp view using the ‘E’ key and select a target to be blown to pieces by a air strike of clusters. The air strike releases 6 clusters, each doing 30 damage.

Maximum damage 30 per cluster (30 x 6 = 150)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Concrete Donkey!
If you are lucky enough to find one of these beauties in a create use it wisely! Use blimp view, and select a target. A giant donkey will drop from the sky, and bounce on the selected terrain until it reaches the bottom and sinks.

The maximum damage if the worm is under the donkey is 55 per bounce. Any worm under the donkey will suffer a guaranteed painful death.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Doctors Strike!
Using the blimp view select a target nearest to you, and your allies. This weapon (or utility) drops off 6 medic packs for your convenience, and healing pleasure.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Lottery strike.
This is the strangest weapon in the whole game. Select a target with blimp view and six explosive lottery tickets will fall from the sky, each dishing out a random damage of 1-49
. These tickets are affected by the wind, so take that into account.

Max damage: Random between 1 and 49.
**************************************************************
This is the end of the weapon guide, you should of learnt all the weapons maximum damage, and how to use them, read on for the utility guide!
------------------------------------------------------------------

Part Three: The utility guide!

Utilities can effect the games engine, or give you advantage over your opponent. Read on for another detailed guide on utilities
------------------------------------------------------------------
The Jet Pack.
The Jet pack is a good utility for getting from A to B. Left click to accelerate and use the WASD keys to move about.
Be careful, you only have a certain amount of fuel, make sure you land, or you’ll fall to your doom!
------------------------------------------------------------------
The ninja rope!
This was the best utility in WWP and Worms Armageddon, but in worms 3d it isn’t that good. It will allow you to swing in a straight line, but that’s about it. The jet pack is the best for travelling.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Teleport.
It’s self pretty explanatory. Get into blimp view, and select a place where you would like to teleport, to get out of harms way!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Parachute.
The parachute can be used to jump off a cliff with relative ease, but watch out for the wind, because you could end up in the sea! Left click will pull the chord, and deploy the parachute, click again to cut the chords and jump off in emergencies!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Girders.
This will allow you to build a big or small bridge. Use the 1 to 5 keys to toggle between big, medium and small girders, use the E and Q keys to rise or lower the girders and use the arrow keys to tilt the girder, and spin it. When your happy, left click to deploy!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Bridge pack.
Just same as above expect you get several girders to build a bridge. This can be uses to build steps, and bridges over water. You can also try and build a bomb shelter if you have enough!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Binoculars.
Click on these, then enter first person view (Q key), Use left click to zoom in, and backspace to zoom out. Handy for spotting enemies far away, so you can get your aim right for grenade and bazooka attacks.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Freeze!
This will turn all your team into ice blocks, making your worms invulnerable to attacks, but still vulnerable to water.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Worm select.
A handy tool to select a certain worm closest to the enemy! Left click on this utility, and use back space to select a worm of your choice!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Low gravity.
Once activated will allow your worm to jump greater distances and higher highs!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Fast walk.
Left click on fast walk to make your run basically run across the land!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Red Bull!
Left click to drink a can of red bull, which is a combination of the two utilities above, in affect you’ll be able to travel at light speeds and jump really far. Super!
------------------------------------------------------------------
The scales of justice.
If the opposing team is winning, use this. It will give all the teams’ equal health. If you’ve got one worm on 100 health, and they’ve got 4 worms with 100 health your worm will get 200 health and the opposite team’s worms will have 50 health each which added up makes 200. Complex, but very handy. Justice!
------------------------------------------------------------------
The following utilities come into effect straight away, when you pick them up!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Double time.
When you pick this up, it doubles your time. If you’ve got 30 seconds left, you’ll now have 60!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Double damage!
This can turn any weapon into a dooms day machine! For example the shotgun would now deal out 50 damage per shot instead of 25.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Create spy!
When you pick this up, you’ll be able see what all the other creates contain for the rest of that game!
That’s the end of the weapon and utility guides. Please read the last chapter for a super tip!
------------------------------------------------------------------

Part Four: A valuable tip then the End

Well, unfortunately this guide has come to a end. But before you got kick some worm but, let me tell you a winning tip. If you have a Ninja rope, Jet pack, or a parachute you can deploy weapons whilst hanging, flying or falling! You can select a weapon in the normal way, and then press backspace to fire/deploy it. You can fire almost any weapon from your rope/jet pack or chute. The most effective is a stick of dynamite. Fly to your enemy, drop a stick of dynamite, and fly off! Experiment with this on a custom game, it’s a very handy tip to know.

I hope you enjoyed this guide, I hoped you learnt a few things from this guide, and most importantly I hope my guide was easy to follow, and understandable.
Thanks for reading; I’ll see you on Wormnet!
