In the second chapter of the game, you'll be swarmed by enemy kryll if you so much as set foot in the dark. To avoid being attacked, stay in the light at all times. When there's no light in sight, look for propane canisters you can blow up to create some flames that'll scare off the kryll.
****Gears of War Hint: Quick Reload****
When reloading your weapon, watch the upper-right corner of the screen for a meter that counts down. Press the reload button a second time when the meter's moving bar matches up with the stationary bar. This will give you a super fast reload and put you back in the fight quicker than normal. However, if you mis-time the second button press your reload will take longer than normal.
****Gears of War Hint: Regain Health****
Unlike most games, you can regain all of your health in Gears of War without the need for health packs. Simple stay in cover for a few seconds and watch as the bright-red gear in the center of the screen fades away. When the gear has comlpetely disappears, your health will be completely full.
****Gears of War Hint: Fighting the Wretches****
When fighting wretches--the small, shrieking enemies that don't use weapons--attack with melee strikes. The best melee strikes come from weapons other than your grenades and Lancer chainsaw rifle. The chainsaw attack is too slow to combat the swarming wretches, so stick to quick-hit melee punches for instant kills
****Gears of War Hint: Finding Cog Tags****
There are thirty hidden Cog Tags scattered throughout the game. They're small and sometimes hard to find, but there's a a mark you can look out for that'll make finding the Cog Tags easier. Look for large, red Gear logos pasted on the walls--if you find a room with this large Gear logo, examine the room and you're sure to find a Cog Tag somewhere.
****Gears of War Hint - Berserker Beat Down (Then Beat Yourself Down)****
To defeat the Beserker at the end of act one, simply dive to the side when she charges at you. Run through the doorway to your right and continue to the door at the end of the room and face your back to it. Get the Berserkers attention by shooting at her or revving the chainsaw then, dive away at the last moment when she charges causing her to break the door down for you.
****Gears of War Hint - How To Defeat General Raam****
In order to defeat Raam, you need to have grenades and a sniper rifle which is supplied in the center of the room before entering the boss arena.
After entering the arena, stay behind the wall you ended the cut scene with. This is important because you need to maintain your distance from Raam. Also, it helps to command Don to "cease fire." This will make him run back towards you keeping him alive longer to distract Raam.
The trick is to get Raam's swarm away from his body. In order to do this, you need to throw a grenade at Raam. If successful, the swarm will disperse giving you clear head shots using the sniper rifle. Repeat until he’s defeated.
If you don't defeat Raam by the time he reaches your wall cover, move in the opposite direction he does and shoot when the swarm disperses. You will take damage from Raam’s machine gun, but you stay in the light which prevents the swarm from killing you.
****Gears of War Hint - Corpser Corpse****
When you are pitted against the Corpser in the Act 3 mines, there's a quick way to win. The Lancer's (chainsaw rifle) constant stream of fire makes it the weapon of choice here. Shoot at the belly of the Corpser, working any angle you can between its legs.
If you hit the belly a few times, it will lift it's front legs and expose it's face. Immediately fire up at it's face and chin. It will shriek and move back.
Hurry, move up grab ammo and repeat. If you don't move fast enough wretches will arrive in waves and make things ten times harder. You must hit the Corpser's face three times.
You'll back it up onto a platform with two destructable joints. They're lit up and on the ground. Shoot them both and the Corpser will plunge into the Imulsion liquid. If you're quick enough you can kill the corpser before any wretches arrive.
****Gears of War Hint - Wretched Fun****
Wretches are most annoying since they swarm your soldier and kill him almost instantly on medium and hard. The best method to deal with them is with a shotgun or the alien repeater, since those weapons let you slug them without the dangerous downtime of the chainsaw.
The shotgun is the best for the in-close situation, since you can forego the left trigger and hip fire the shotgun quickly to catch the wretches as they hop around. Smacking them if they get close is the only way to counter, short of using A to dodge.
****Gears of War Hint - Advantage Co-Op****
The best way to defeat General Raam on Insane is to go with co-op. You have twice the smart firepower allowing one person get the Torque Bow and the other the sniper rifle.
The bow carrying player should have at least ten arrows. The Torque Bow is the only weapon other than the grenades that will hurt the boss seriously when he has his Kryll shield. The explosion of the tips will also send the Kryll flying, allowing your partner to get in a nice head shot with the sniper rifle for a good one-two combo.
****Gears of War Hint - Cluster Kill Achievement****
To get the achievement killing three enemies at once ten times, go to the stage Act 3 - Evolution and locate the area of the Imulsion plant where the guy gets killed when he falls through the rotten wood floor.
Take along at least one grenade and simply follow the dead guy down a hole (or any hole, if you step in the wrong spot). Run around the cellar until you think you have enough enemies following (meaning at least three running after you), tag one with a grenade melee attack.
If you die, that's perfect, since you restart right at the checkpoint of that room and do it again. Achievement progress are independent of game progress. If not, reload the checkpoint and do it again.
Use cover - Throughout the game the best thing you can do to stay alive is to get behind cover and use it to kill the enemy without getting yourself shot to pieces.
Covering Fire - Your team mates will provide covering fire for you to either flank enemies or get behind some better cover for taking them out. You can also do this for them to allow them to get into a better position.
Revive your team mates - Throughout the game you may see a red circle on the screen with a team mate shown in it. This means they've been hit badly and need help. You can revive them by killing all the bad guys around or going up to them and pressing X.
Ammo - There is plenty of ammo around and you can pick up the enemies weapons should you need but always look out for the blue ammo boxes or grenades that are dotted around the levels.
Re-load - It is worth getting the manual reload mastered. By pressing RB a small reload bar appears, if you press RB again in the small white part of the bar then you'll get a perfect reload which is much quicker than the usual reload time.
COG tags - Throughout the game there are blue COG tags located around the maps. By collecting these you can unlock achievements. Look out for the red gears of war sign - they are usually found near these. Location of the COG tags are also pointed out in the mission walkthrough.
Weapons - There are various weapons throughout the game, some you will need to get past some of the larger bad guys. Your standard gun has a chainsaw bayonet which is excellent fun at close range. Worth keeping hold of the weapons you enjoy using.

The online multiplayer allows for matches of 3 V 3. Pretty much everything from the single player remains the same for the multi-player mode. Use cover and tactics to take out the opposing team.
When you die you die though so think about what you are doing. Maps are small enough to learn quickly and get to grips with. Plenty of fun to be had.
With the co-op mode you can invite a friend to play through the single player missions. They will take over the control of Dom and the game plays as normal.
ACT 1 - Jacinto Prison
At the start you'll be set free from the jail cell and handed a bag of equipment, when you leave the cell head right and you'll be given the choice of going the easy (but longer) way or the quicker but more dangerous way.
If it is your first time playing go the easier (training) way to get to grips with the controls. After the chopper shoots head straight ahead and collect the COG Tags (blue coloured cogs on the ground) Then head up the stairs to the top and shoot the breakers to open both the doors. Go in and through the room, practice getting into cover and jumping over objects in here.
Head out the far door and down the corridor and through the door on the right. Take cover and shoot the enemy ahead. Run forward and press the button then press A and run to the door ahead. Go down the stairs and into the room ahead and grab some of the grenades. Go out the other door and you'll face a small fire fight. Use the grenades to take out the enemies.
Go along the corridor to the right and down the stairs. More of the bad guys will cut through the door so get into cover and get ready to start shooting.
Take out the guys that come in. There is another COG tag at the back left of this room(when looking towards the door). Then go outside and get into cover and take out the bad guys on the ground. Head to the left and use the higher ground to your advantage. There is another COG tag to the left of this higher area. Once you collect this proceed to the chopper to extract.
Trial By fire
Head up the stairs and through the corridor. Get cover when you head outside as guys will come from the right and attack you. Once they are down your team will point out some COG tags to you. They are just behind the 2nd wall on the left.
Head up the stairs and into cover. Your team will ask you to flank the left so do as they say and head to the left and take out the grubs. You'll notice the hole in the ground at the top right. You need to put a grenade in this hole to block it off. Then head to the left and follow your team.
You'll cross over a bridge and discover alpha team. Your team mate will open the door so head inside and get cover. There are 2 holes in this room which grubs come out from so you'll need to grenade them to seal them.
There is also another COG tag behind the 2nd hole. Just head outside and head towards where the dead team are.
Fish in a barrel
Straight after the cut scene you will come under attack. Head to the right and flank the enemy. You can come up right behind them and take out the two guys using the mounted machine gun. Continue up the street taking out the enemies then jump into the fountain area. You'll need to use the grenades to seal the holes. There is also a COG tag in the far top left (from when you enter this area).
Head past the last hole onto the next section.
Fork in the road
You'll be given a choice straight away of whether you want to go left or right. I picked right the first time I played.
Head straight up the small hill and into the building and get into cover at the top. At the end of the hall the enemy have a large mounted gun so try take out the guy behind it quickly and then make your way up the hall. Enemies will come from behind so use the mounted gun to take them out. Then flick the switch to open the door and go through. Head to the far side of the hall and out the side door. There is another mounted gun out here and a few guys running around as well as one high on the right in one of the rooms. Get him first.
Take out all the bad guys here and get on the mounted gun, a bunch of Locusts will burst through the ground so mow them all down with the mounted gun.
One will burst through the door behind you so take them out (Chainsaw time if you like!) and then head through the door.
Walk along the corridor then kick open the door at the end. You will be outside in a large area. Head way out to the left beside the white van with the skull on it and collect the COG tags that are to the left of this van. Head up towards the building (Stay to the left though) and take out the enemies that come out then head inside. A grub hole will open up so take them out and grenade the hole if you have any grenades.
Head back out side and re-group. You'll get ambushed so grab some cover then start killing the bad guys. Follow the others into the building and take out the guys hiding inside. Then let your team mate open the door.
Head through the door and up the stairs, in the next room use the high balcony to take out the enemies attacking the alpha squad member below. Then go to the right and down the stairs. After the cut scene head back to where you came down the stairs but head up the next set of stairs and through the door. Head to the left and collect the COG tags. Head along the corridor and wait for them to open the damaged door. Wretches will attack you so do your best to take them out (watch out they come from both directions) then go through the opened door.
Collect the weapon straight ahead of you and when instructed use it to kill the large enemy in the far left corner outside. Take out the other guys then head round past the large thing you killed and back inside the building. You'll need to use that weapon again to kill the big thing in the middle of the next room then kill the remaining enemies and regroup with your team mates at the door on the left.
Go through the door and down the stairs on your left, kill the wretches then go outside and past that big dead thing you killed. Go in the door on the left and into the hall. Take out the guys that come in here then head up the stairs. You'll come into a room with a body ahead of you. Turn to the right and get the COG tags from behind the pillar.
Head through the door and into the room, take out the guards then outside and take out the last of those big seeder things with the big weapon. Head back inside and the enemy will cut through the door. Get into a decent cover position and take them out then head through the door. Go right and you'll see alphas position. Continue on and round the corner of the corridor and into the room. Follow the corridor round through the rooms taking out the enemies as you go. You'll see a guard at the end of a corridor on a mounted gun, enter the corridor but go through the door on the right and flank the enemy. You'll come out behind him so shoot him and mount the gun and take out the enemies that come up the corridor (some on the roof too).
Follow your team mates down the corridor and to the left down the stairs. Flank the enemy on the left and take them out then go up the nearby stairs. You'll enter a large hall, proceed up the stairs and kill the guy on the mounted gun then use it to take out all the bad guys below.
After watching the cut scene head into the room where you saw the guy getting brutally killed by the berserker and collect his COG tags.
Proceed ahead and you'll enter a room and the Berserker will burst through a door, let him run at you but move out of his way quickly, head through the door on the right and sprint to the end of the hall. You'll notice the smash able door, you need to lure the Berserker to run at you then move so it smashes the door. Run into the next area and do the same, then into the next area. There is a COG tag on the left before the third smash able door. Once you break out the third smash able door you need to use the hammer of dawn to kill the berserker. Collect the other COG tag on the left hand side of the area near the skull first before you kill the berserker.
ACT 2 - Nightfall
Tick tick boom
Move ahead and over the rock and head along the path. You'll need to choose which way you'd like to go (again I went to the right) head along the path and walk up the rock to the level above. On your left you'll see an ammo box at the top of some stairs. Jump over the rock and collect the ammo. Head through the door beside you and head towards the middle of the room. A cut scene kicks in and you'll see some large guys appear - Boomers. When the cut scene ends get behind the cover in the middle of the room and shoot them in the head. Head round the corridor to the right then through to your left and follow the rooms round and go down the stairs. You'll come under fire in the streets so take out the enemies then head to the left and enter the building. A guy is on a mounted gun so try run up and kill him quickly. When all the bad guys are dead you'll regroup with your other team mates. Go through the door on the left (need to break it open first) and through the next room.
There is a couch at the bottom of the stairs in the next area. Shoot it up and collect the COG tags that are under it. Head up the stairs and break through the door then take out the enemies in the area. One has a big rocket launcher so be careful and try get him first.
Head round to the left and enter the building. Go up the stairs and round to the left. kill the enemies that attack then go outside and down the stairs. More enemies attack so kill them then walk under the stairs and collect the COG tag. Turn around and go back up the street. There will be another big guy with a rocket launcher so kill him quickly and take out the other guy. Continue along the street. In the next part you'll come under fire from a mounted gun and there is also a hole at the far end of the street that you'll need to close. Continue on and you;ll come up to the settlement area. Before you go in the gates go to the left and collect the COG tags near the newspaper machine. Then enter the settlement and walk along the street.
Head up the street and kick open the door at the top left and walk through the building.
Kick open the door and head outside and kill the bad guys. Head to the right and go down the stairs. You'll see a wheel so grab it using X then press A to turn it. You should start moving across the river. Head up the stairs to checkpoint one and re stock your ammo. Enter the nearby building and kick open the door and make your way through the building. Out in the street you'll see an emergence hole but don't go to far out. You need to shoot the gas tanks to give some light so that the Locusts stay away. Shoot all the gas tanks you see and kill the bad guys. At the end of the street after the emergence hole there is a gas tank on the left at a shed, shoot it and go into the shed and pick up the COG tag.
Continue down the street to the right and continue to shoot any gas tanks you see. There is a guy at the end of the road using a mounted machine gun so keep to cover and keep looking for the gas tanks. Make your way into the building on the left and kill the guy on the gun then go up the stairs and kick open the door.
You'll see an emergence hole open but don't head out towards it instead go ahead and round to the side of it. When you get to the end of this path shoot the gas tanks and kill all the bad guys then head across and in the door on the left.
Get behind the car and move it to the end of the street. Kill the guy high on the right then shoot the guy on the left and run in the door he was beside. Take out the guy on the mounted gun and the other guy in this room. Head out of this room and to your right and go round the corner and take the grenades and shoot the gas tank behind the dumpster. Head back outside and down this alley and through the building. When you kick open the door you'll come under attack. Kill these guys then shoot the gas tank behind the second wall. There is an emergence hole on the far side of the walls on the left. You'll need to shoot the gas tanks here to get through to it though. Kill all the enemies and then head through and down the the right. Shoot the gas tanks to get down the street then head into the building on the left. Go up the stairs and use the light on Dom to guide him to the building so he can turn on the lights.
Before you stop using the spot light shine it back near where you entered this area and you'll see a COG tag shine on the top left near the car. Leave the light here and go downstairs and collect it then go meet Dom.
Continue along the street and you'll see an emergence hole open. Take out the guys then head into the building on the left and shoot the gas tank from the window then go outside and stay in the light and move to the end of the street. Shoot the gas tank behind the metal sheet to get to the end of the street for the cut scene to kick in.
Head through the building but don't move to fast. Wait of for any flickering lights to come on fully before heading past them. When you get outside the house you'll see a COG tag to your right and a car with a gas tank in it. Shoot the tank, collect the COG tag quickly and then run after the car as it rolls down the hill. You'll need to be quite quick. When you get down the hill run over to the gas station. Head to the right and turn the wheel to pump the gas then head back into the station. There is a sniper rifle inside so get that if you want.
You'll get attacked here so stay in cover and kill all the enemies. A boomer will come too so kill him quickly. Jump into the vehicle and drive off.
You'll be warned when the Kryll attack so press X to switch to the Light and press RT to fire it. You'll be told when things are clear and you car drive off again. Continue doing this along the road till you reach the attack. When you leave the vehicle head to the left and along the platform. There is a mounted gun which is worth using as it rips through the enemy quite quickly. When the enemy get on the roof just to your right shoot the gas pipe above them to make it explode. Just continue to shoot the enemy that attack. A massive emergence hole will open up behind you. Don't try take on the guys instead shoot the gas tanks under the large tank and watch them burn.
ACT 3 - Belly of the beast
Continue ahead and you'll eventually see some glowing wretches, move on and to the right and you'll find an entrance. Your team will split up and you and Dom will head right. When you head along you'll see a wretch run up the building. When you get round the next corner you'll be attacked by some. They explode when shot so be careful to get them quickly. When you head onto the next area there will be a wooden jetty on your right. Go to the very end of this and collect the COG tag. Head back up the jetty and to the bricked building on the right. Go inside and press the button then head back to the building at the end of the jetty and go in and use the elevator. Climb over the roof then through the window into the factory
Head to the left and to the end of the corridor and press the green flashing button. The door is stuck so you'll need to head back and take the other corridor to the right of where you started. Press the button and go through the door. Head along the platform and kick open the door at the end. It's quite a mess in the next room but head left and through the door. When you leave this room head back into the messy room and over to the other end and wait for your new friend to open the door and show you the way. Follow him round and you'll meet Baird and Cole. Continue to follow the guy and he'll lead you downstairs and into a room with a wooden floor which he falls through. Head to the far right corner and collect the COG tags then head out the far door and through the door at the end of this next room.
Head through the next door and walk through the room. Loads of wretches will attack so kill them before heading up the stairs at the end of the room. Make your way round to the right and turn the wheel then go through the door on your left and down the stairs and into the room on the right. You'll re-group with your team mates. Turn the wheel on the left wall near the gates to open the gates. In the next room a team mate will point out a Wretch up high. Kill it then get the rest of the bad guys in this room. Head down the middle then to the left and try to kick open the door at the end. It is stuck so as Jack trys to open it a Boomer comes down nearby so start shooting it and take it down quickly then go through the opened door.
You'll now be in the cart control room.
When you enter the room go down the stairs towards the cart and collect the COG tag just to your right. Then go back up the stairs and go to the left and press the button to open the doors. Head back down the stairs and into the cart.
As you ride the cart you'll need to shoot the wretches and some of the bad guys you encounter. When you reach the end just press the button and go through the door. Continue through the rooms using the buttons to open the doors and killing the wretches you encounter till you reach the core room.
The platforms will rise with a Boomer on each so kill them (Head shot with the sniper rifle works wonders :0) ) then ride the platforms down. When you get down head to the left. You'll see a door ahead of you (bit to the right) with the red gears skull on it. Collect the COG tag beside it. Head back up the path and down the path to the right. You and Dom will go on ahead to clear the way so kill all the wretches and move on. You'll slide down a slope and at the bottom have to kill some bad guys. There are some stairs leading up to a building. To the right of these stairs is another COG tag. Collect it then continue on, there is a guy high on the right on the next path. Shoot the weakened column beside him then move on and kill the wretches further down the path.
There is another Boomer just after the checkpoint. Go to the bottom then head to the left. You'll fall through the ground. Shoot all the wretches then head into the lighted area. You'll need to choose a path again here (I choose right yet again).
Head along the path and shoot all the enemies that you encounter. You'll re-group with Dom and head down a narrow path with plenty of cover and loads of enemies. Continue on and kill all the enemies. When you get to the end you'll see the red gears skull on the wall to your left - head to the right and the COG tag is near the edge on the right. Then just continue on.
You need to kill the Corpser. To do this shoot it in the belly then when it opens its mouth shoot it in the jaw. Do this until it moves back to the end of the level then shoot the two blue weakened clamps to make it fall to its death. Watch out for the wretches while you do this, they can be quite annoying.
Baird and Cole will appear so just head to their position then continue on.
Tip of the Iceberg
Continue ahead and you'll see the power station. Head towards it and on the right path you'll find the bow. Head along the left path to the power station and onto it. There are some new guards here with bows that take a bit to kill them. Take them all down, collect any ammo you need then go over and press the green button to power the elevator. Then sit back and watch the cut scene.
ACT 4 - The long road home
Head into the campus grounds and you'll come under attack from the left at first then the right and straight ahead. Kill all of the enemies and then head to the right of where you started just up the second set of stairs and collect the COG tags.
You are then given the choice of whether to go through the building or take the street. Again I choose the right path just so I would know which way I went so I could do the opposite next time round. In the next area take cover and shoot the enemies then go to the top left and jump over the wall and down the hall.
There is a seeder outside here so shoot the other guys then collect the hammer of dawn and take out the seeder. An emergence hole opens up so use the hammer of dawn on that too then enter the building on the right and make your way through.
Head outside and grab some cover and shoot the bad guys then make your way into the building ahead and go through it. You'll meet up with Cole and Dom outside. Shoot the propane tanks near the car and head through the gate to the crash site.
Bad to worse
Go ahead and collect the COG tag to your right near the wall. Then head past the columns towards the conservatory. The doors to the right are locked so you'll need Jack to open them. You need to protect him while he does this so take out any enemies that attack. You'll need to kill 2 Boomers here too so if you still have the bow it could prove quite useful here.
When the door is opened head inside and go up the stairs. Proceed along the corridor then down the stairs to the left. In the next large room you'll meet another Berserker. You need to get past him till you reach the room with the green columns in it. You'll find the hammer of dawn at the other end. Here you need to have the Berserker destroy some of the green columns so that you can use the hammer of dawn.
When you kill the Berserker there will be a hole in the wall on fire. Turn the wheel at the end of the room then go through the gap and kick open the door.
Run towards the building and head through the open door on the left. In the next area there is a mounted machine gun and an emergence hole open at the far left with wretches coming from it. Seal the hole quickly and take out the guy on the mounted gun then use it as another emergence hole opens. Kill all the enemies then enter the building through the opening.
Head into the next area and get the ammo from under the tree. Move towards the other end and you'll see a bad guy on the roof. Shoot the things then get some cover (better to get cover near the ammo at the start as the bad guys come from all other directions) Take out all the bad guys and another Boomer before heading through the door the Boomer came from. Head to the right and kick open the door. Move up and you'll come to a narrow path with stairs. There are a few enemies and another Boomer here so try kill them all then head up the stairs.
Continue ahead and through the entrance at the middle of the next area and you'll feel the ground shake.
Close to home
In the next area to the left there are a few enemies including a couple of the guards with the explosive arrows. Kill them all then head to the back left. Make your way through the next area killing all the enemies that you encounter. In the next area there is a mounted gun and a bunch of enemies to your left. If you head round to the left you should be out of range of the mounted gun and be able to take out all the enemies here. When you do this the gate opens. There is another guard with explosive arrows here so be careful. When you kill him head round and kick open the gate.
Up ahead you'll see a steep staircase. As you approach it you'll see some enemies. Take the first three out then head up the stairs. A Boomer is next so avoid his shots and kill him. There are a few more guards with explosive arrows. When you take them out head to the top of the stairs. After the cut scene kick open the door and head inside the house. Go to the left first and seal the first emergence hole and kill the enemies. Then go up stairs and kill all the guys up there.
After you here the noise head back downstairs and through the now open door to the left. Kill the other guys in here are seal the other emergence hole. Watch out as some guys sneak out behind you from another room. Head in through this door and down the corridor. Head into the room on the right and chainsaw the desk and collect the COG tags. Head up the stairs into the next room and turn the wheel to open the metal gate. Head down the stairs and use the elevated point to your advantage to kill the enemies below. Kick open the door and head through into the next area.
Head into the water through in the next area and kick the wine rack on the left to reveal a secret door. You now need to protect Jack as he opens the door. Once you kill them all head into the lab. You need to get back up to the main building and up stairs of the main entrance. You'll meet a few enemies along the way so kill them then get up to where Cole and Baird are.
You need to defend the front of the house and kill any guys who come in the house. Quite a selection of bad guys here so watch out. When you get them all you'll need to get to the back out the house. Head downstairs and a guy bursts through the other door on the left. Kill him then head through to the back of the house. Head up the stairs then kick open the door.
Seal the emergence hole below and then shoot the gas tank near the planks at the door at the far end then go back down the stairs and kick open the door. Head through to the next area and outside. Two Boomers will attack so use the explosive arrows on them if you have them.
You then need to get to the APC as quickly as possible - ignore the enemies just run for the APC, some big ugly bad thing is after you so be quick. There is a time limit. When you reach the APC a cut scene will kick in.
ACT 5 - Desperation
When you move forward you'll see two snipers up high. Kill them. An emergence hole opens up to the left so seal that. Then enemies pretty much come from all directions so take as many as you can out. You'll be told to get to the platform so go in front of the train over to the next platform.
Your on the train now so move ahead and start shooting the bad guys. Keep to cover and avoid the explosive arrows. Continue along the train taking out the enemies until you reach the door at the end. You'll need Jack to open it.
While he does this a Berserker attacks (great timing!). He's fairly simple to get rid of though. Lead him to the back of the train then disconnect the train carriage that he is on to eliminate him. Then run back to the front and through the door. Collect the COG tag just on the other side of this door.
Continue through the carriages killing all the enemies you encounter. You'll be informed that there are chain guns on the roof. You'll reach a door with a green button. Collect the COG tag beside it then go through it and up the ladder. Use the chain gun to take out the attacking Reavers.
Head back down and continue up the train. Wretches will attack so kill them and continue to run up the train. You'll enter a room and the door at the far end wont open. Wretches start coming in from the roof at both ends and some of the windows so kill them all while Jack opens the door. Continue along the train and you'll see the red gears sign on the next carriage. Go in that carriage and press the button to open the door and collect the COG tag on the ground then head back to the front of the train.
Re-stock your ammo then press the button to open the door. A cut scene kicks in showing Raam and he looks angry. You need to kill him. I'd take the long shot rifle and the bow and explosive arrows.
Basically you need to stay in cover and shoot him in the head with the rifle and explosive arrows.
When he gets near use your handgun from behind cover to get a few shots in and then run away from him but don't move out of the light as the Kryll will kill you quite quickly. Just keep shooting him in the head till he dies. It may take a few attempts before you get it done then just sit back and watch the ending.
Hopefully this guide has helped you get through the game and found most of the COG tags. Now all you need to do is have a go at the hardcore and Insane difficulties and try your hand at the co-op and multiplayer game modes.
