FLYING SECTION

You start off as Krystal. All you need to do at the start is shoot the two towers that shoot at you, shoot the spinning rotor blades and the ship will then head towards you. Shoot the head that fires fireballs at you. You will then end up on the ship.

GENERAL SCALES SHIP

When on the ship, head the other side and there should be a birdcage. The birdcage should open the lower deck. Head to the lower deck and pick up the key to Krazoa Palace which is placed in the open. Head towards the birdcage again and you will meet General Scales.

KRAZOA PALACE

You head to Krazoa Palace. Head towards the dinosaur (Earthwalker) and search the wall behind. The key you picked up should open a door. Inside is a fuel barrel. Use the barrel to clear your path. You can pick up new barrels at the fuel barrel generator. Grab a fuel barrel and head down the slope to the right of where you started. At the bottom of the slope, head left and you should see an opening and a wall with a crack in it. Throw the barrel at the cracked wall to open it up. Head through the gap, turn left then first right. There should be an Earthwalker and a fuel barrel. Clear your path with the fuel barrel. You will need more fuel barrels and they can be found by taking a right and following the passage round. Carefully carry the fuel barrel past the fire jets and throw it at the cracked wall. Head through the gap and a fuel barrel will be right in front and a pad to your right. Stand on the pad and the door should open. Use the fuel barrels to clear whatever you need to clear. Talk to the Earthwalker and he will open the door to the Krazoa Shrine. Head through the door and stand on the pad. Head straight forward and on your right will be a ladder. Climb up the ladder, avoid the fire, ahead is a pit, climb down the ladder and up the other side. The door is blocked by a red force field which denotes that an enemy presence needs to be destroyed. The fuel barrel near the door will kill the enemy and the force field will drop. Grab another fuel barrel and clear the path ahead. The fuel barrel will need to be placed on the pad for the gate ahead to open. Avoid the fire and you will be in the room with the Krazoa Spirit. The test of observation is easy. Just keep your eye on the basket with the spirit in it. Correctly choose three times in a row and the spirit is yours. After speaking with the Earthwalker, use the fuel barrels to clear your way. On the floor directly opposite the fuel barrel room is a lift which will take you to the passage which is in the wall. Head down the passage and turn right. Release the spirit and that will end the Krystal part of the game. You now play as Fox McCloud.

FLYING SECTION

All you need to do is fly through 1 gold ring. Remember the controls are like an actual plane so up is down and down is up. It gets easier once you get used to it.

THORNTAIL HOLLOW

Directly ahead of you, past the Thorntail, is a patch of flowers and trees. In the middle of that is Krystal’s staff. Pick that up. There is a circle of rocks near your ship. Use the staff on these rocks to release scarabs. Scarabs are the currency around here so keep a healthy stash with you at all times. Head across the water and learn more things from the Thorntails. Across the water is an opening. Inside is the Throntail Store. The maps are very useful so you may want to buy a few. Head towards the enclosed area in the bottom right hand corner of Throntail Hollow. 4 enemies (Sharpclaw) will appear and it’s time for combat. Defeat the 4 Sharpclaw and a door will open. Head through the door, lift up the stone and fall through the hole. When inside, go to the middle pad and you will get a staff upgrade, the Fire Blaster. You will find that the door is shut. Shoot the sun symbol to open the door and then exit the cave. Head back to where you met the Sharpclaw and shoot the sun symbol above the door to open it. Head through and meet the Queen Earthwalker. After talking to her, head towards the ship and near the river’s edge is a bomb spore plant. Shoot the bomb spore plant with your fire blaster and grab a bomb spore. Up in the top corner is a wall with a crack in it and a patch on the ground for planting bomb spores. Plant the bomb spore and shoot it. The wall should blow up. Follow the path round and leap across to the Warpstone. The Warpstone requires a gift so buy some Rock Candy from the store. He’ll explain what you need to do and you want to go left to Ice Mountain.

ICE MOUNTAIN/SNOWHORN WASTES

To your immediate left after the cut screen is an area with a fuel barrel. It has a red light on top so you only have a limited amount of time before it goes off. Take the barrel and head towards the cannon and there will be boxes blocking your way. Throw the barrel at the boxes and eliminate the enemies to reveal the sun symbol. Shoot the sun symbol and enter the cave. This will lead to the chase on the skimobiles. The best thing to do is get in front and keep your finger on the A button. Don’t try to bash them off, it will slow you down. You have to take Tricky back to Thorntail Hollow. From the start, follow the path until you reach a fiery chasm. Take the path to the right and grab some blue Grubtubs. Feed these to Tricky and search the area for a patch in the ground. It’s pretty obvious to spot. Get Tricky to Find Secret and then get Tricky to stay on the button he uncovers. Walk through the gate and activate the switch. This will raise a platform at the bottom of the chasm. Cross the chasm and then get Tricky to Find Secret. He will open a passage to crawl through. Follow the path down to a little camp area and clear all the enemies you meet along the way. Talk to the big elephant type creature (Snowhorns) and he will say that he is hungry. Search the campsite area for secrets. You find a magic cave which will boost your staff energy meter. You will also find an Alpine root. Give this Alpine root to the Snowhorn and he will give you a Small Scarab Bag. Search for another Alpine root and give that to the Snowhorn again. He will give you a block to help you get out. Push the block around to get the fuel cells (the flashing blue lights) and then push it to the gap underneath the ledge near the Snowhorn and climb up. Keep walking down the hill and do not go across the water. At the bottom of the hill, keep going forward until you reach a cave entrance. A guard blocks your way and requires 25 scarabs to let you pass. If you don’t have 25 scarabs, search under rocks and in baskets nearby. Pay him 25 scarabs and he will let you through. You won’t have to pay him again. Enter the cave and follow the path round until you reach the water. To the right, you will see a button. Don’t go over there yet. The button opens the gate and on the level above is a switch which changes the direction of the current. The current is heading the right way for now so leave it. Follow the water round. Climb up onto land and follow the path to Thorntail Hollow.

THORNTAIL HOLLOW (2)

Open the gate by using the staff on the switch. Head down the ladder and clear the enemies. Head to the Queen Earthwalker. She requires white Grubtubs. These can be found at the well near the ladder to Snowhorn Wastes. There is a small crack in the side which Tricky can dig through. Crawl through the gap and slide down the ladder. The mushrooms fire red mist which knocks energy off so be careful. There’s a gap dead ahead from the ladder. Through the gap and in the middle of the water is a patch of land that a bomb spore can be used. Plant a bomb spore and blow it up. It will reveal a magic cave. This magic cave gives you the Staff Rocket Boost. This can be used on special boost pads. Exit the magic cave and head through the gap. On the right is an elevated region with a booster pad on it. Follow the path round and cross a bridge. In the middle of the bridge is a bomb spore patch. Plant a bomb spore and explode it. A block will fall. Fall onto the block and push it towards the button. Walk through the open gate and talk to the Thorntail. He will not let you through until you have something to light your way. Go to the store and purchase a lantern and fireflies. Once purchased, head back and he will let you through. To get down the ladder you will need to plant a bomb spore in the patch of ground and explode it. Slide down the ladder and one white Grubtub will be nearby. Grab that and head through the gap. Search the area thoroughly for white Grubtubs. You need 6 in all. You will also need bomb spores to get to some Grubtubs. Once you have found 6, head out of the cave by climbing the ladder and then head back to the Queen Earthwalker. Feed the white Grubtubs to the Queen Earthwalker. She will tell you what to do next and will give you a Sharpclaw Prison key. Take the ladder next to the well where you found the white Grubtubs and head back to Snowhorn Wastes.

SNOWHORN WASTES (2)

Head down the passage towards the water. The current would have changed so you have to change it. Stop Tricky on the button and climb up the wall. Walk to the end of the tunnel and change the current. Follow the water round. You may want to use the booster here to get the fuel cells. To open the fuel cell door, shoot the sun symbol which is high up on the wall opposite the booster. Change the current when you reach the other side so you don’t have to do it later. Follow the path round and directly in front of you when you exit the cave will be a closed gate and keyhole to the left of it. Use the Sharpclaw Prison key in the keyhole to open the gate. Walk through the gate and head left. You should see a circle of ice with a hole in the middle. In the middle is a trapped Snowhorn. He requires Frostweed to get the strength to escape. The Frostweed is on a tree directly opposite the gate entrance you just came through. He requires 3 Frostweed to escape. You will be constantly under attack so this can be quite tricky. Try to direct the Frostweed to the Snowhorn by running behind them while protecting yourself. Once you have done this task, the Snowhorn will open the portal to the Spellstone at Darkice Mines. You have to travel back to Thorntail Hollow to get to your ship. Exit through the gate and enter the cave. Follow the path all the way to the water. Change the current by the switch if you haven’t done so already and follow the water round. Follow the path round until you reach Thorntail Hollow.

THORNTAIL HOLLOW (3)

Climb down the ladder and head towards your ship. Buy the map of Darkice Mines if you need to and then jump into the ship and head to Darkice Mines.

DARKICE MINES FLYING SECTION

Remember that it uses plane controls and you need to fly through 3 gold rings to open the force field.

DARKICE MINES

From the ship, to the right is a path. Follow the path round. Be careful on the 3rd crossover as the path breaks up in the middle. After crossing that, you should be at the mine area. The first mine on the left has a small crack in the snow. Get Tricky to Find Secret and he create an entrance for you. Inside is two enemies and a red force field. Kill the enemies and the force field will drop. Go through and inside is a chest. Open the chest and you will find a Shackle Key. Head out of the mine and head left. To your left will be a shackled Snowhorn. Use the Shackle Key on the lock. The Snowhorn will give you a Bridge Cog. Head out of the mine area and to your left will be a wall you can climb down. After climbing down, head right, jump over the gaps and you will find a series of cogs and one cog is missing. Use the Bridge Cog you collected and place it in the machine. Go to the left of the machine and pull the lever. This will open a bridge. Leap over the gaps and climb the wall. Walk over the bridge and follow the path round. You will two enemies beating on a Snowhorn. Beat the two enemies and the Snowhorn will get Tricky to do his Flame technique. He is hungry so you have to find food for him. Head back down the path and over the bridge. There is a mine to your right with ice blocking the front. Get Tricky to Flame the ice. Walk into the mine and get Tricky to Flame the stack of wood. This should make the ice melt to reveal a hole in the middle of the mine. Drop down the hole and go straight ahead. You should see a block and passage blocked by ice. Get Tricky to Flame the ice. Walk inside and get Tricky to Find Secret. He will reveal food for the Snowhorn. Head out of the mine by pushing the block straight ahead so you can climb out. Once out of the mine, head towards the Snowhorn and you should run parallel with a moat with boulders rolling down it. Fall into the moat; be very careful because the rocks kill and head right against the way the rocks are rolling. Near the end of the moat is a passage blocked with ice on the left. Get Tricky to Flame the ice. Walk in and get Tricky to Find Secret and that should reveal more food. Grab the food and head back to the Snowhorn. To get out, just go around the fence on the left. Feed the Alpine Roots to the Snowhorn and he will get on his feet. To climb on his back, walk up the ladder nearby. You need the Snowhorn to smash the gates. Move straight forward as you have control of the Snowhorn. Follow the path to the gates and smash the gates open with the Tusk Attack. You need to climb off his back now so you need to get to the platform which is just on the right. After climbing down the ladder, head left and you will find a passage blocked by ice. Get Tricky to Flame the ice. Walk through the passage and turn right. Climb the ladder and walk through the gap. On the right, you will see that there are 3 cogs missing. Use the booster on the booster pad. Walk into the clearing but be careful, there is not a lot of room on the ledge. Turn left and jump the ledges round until you reach the last one. Turn left again and follow the passage. Kill the enemy and more will be released below. Use the cannon to kill the enemies below and when you have killed the enemies, a red force field will drop. Use the cannon to destroy the wooden ‘X’ which is located slightly to the right. After blowing up the wooden barricade, head out of the cannon area. Below the cannon area is a gap with a chest inside. Open the chest to reveal a Bridge Cog. Exit the gap and head towards the route you just opened. Jump up and you will be in a very snowy area. To the left is a slope. Head up the slope and at the end of the area is a passage blocked by ice. Get Tricky to Flame the ice and walk inside. Inside is a chest. Open the chest to reveal another Bridge Cog. Head back into the main area and enter the structure in the middle. You will see a chest. Open the chest to reveal the 3rd Bridge Cog. Head to the machine which you saw earlier. Place the 3 cogs in the machine and pull the lever to the left of the machine. Head back down the ladder and turn round. The bridge will be on your right. Walk across the bridge and head to the gap on the left. You will be blocked off but there is a crack in the snow. Get Tricky to Find Secret and he will open a passage for you. Crawl through and the passage will lead you into an opening. Look up from the entrance of the opening to see a sun symbol. When you shoot the sun symbol, you have only 60 seconds to get Tricky to Flame each of the 4 furnaces so make sure he is well fed beforehand. If you are successful, the door will open. Walk through the door and it looks like there is no path. Take a leap of faith straight forward and the path will be revealed. Follow the path and you will see a pillar of ice. Get Tricky to Flame the ice pillar and it will reveal a Dinosaur Horn. Grab the Horn and head out of the caves. Go back across the bridge and back to the main area. Go through the door to the snowy area. Climb back up the slope and in the middle of the area is a pad. Blow the horn on the pad and a Snowhorn will appear. Head back down the slope and climb the ladder next to the Snowhorn. Get on the Snowhorn’s back and guide the Snowhorn through the snow by following the trail of Alpine Roots. At the end of the trail, don’t get off his back just yet. Directly in front of you will be a passage blocked by wood. Smash the wood with the Tusk Attack and then get off the Snowhorn’s back. Climb down and head into the passage. Inside are 2 enemies. Kill the enemies to drop the force field. Walk through and jump on the jet mobile. Just follow the path and keep your finger on A. You will land on a conveyor belt. Carefully get the end of the conveyor belt by avoiding the fire jets. The exit is on the right in between the last fire jet and the flame grill. After exiting the conveyor belt, kill the enemies to get the force field to drop. Don’t go through the door just yet. To the right is a booster. Use the Booster to get to the top level and turn right. You will crawl through a gap and will be faced by boulders. Follow the boulders until you can no longer follow them. You will see a section where there is a flame jet continuously firing. Look up and shoot the sun symbol. The flame jet will stop firing. Inside is a chest. Open the chest and you will get a Prison Cell Key. Head out of the track and back to ground level. To the right, you will see circling fire jets. You have to find a small passage and work your way around the fire jets until you reach the prisons. Use the Prison Key on the second lock to release Tricky. Get Tricky and head towards the door which had the force field. Inside is a gap covered in ice. Get Tricky to Flame the ice and reveal a chest. Open the chest to get a Prison Cell Key. Go to the prisons and release the Snowhorn. After the cutscreen, you will see a crack in the wall. Get Tricky to Find Secret and he will open a passage for you. Crawl through and shoot the greenish icicles hanging from the roof. Jump on the fallen icicles and get over to the switch. The switch drops the gate meaning that blocks of ice will travel down the river. Head up the little path and use the booster on the Booster pad. Jump across the ice blocks to get to the gap on the other side. Follow the path and you will see a block. Push the block off the edge and climb down the wall to the right. After climbing down the wall, turn and climb up the little ledge. Follow the path round defeating the enemies. You will come across a conveyor belt. Avoid the fire jets and follow the path round. You will meet up with Belina Te, the Snowhorn. Head down the path and defeat the enemies. On a pillar is a ladder, climb the ladder and grab the fuel barrel. Carefully grab the barrel and take it to the top of the spiral walkway. When there, walk round the pillars until you find a barrel pad. Put the barrel down and climb the ladder nearby, walk round and you will see a switch. Use the switch and the contraption will carry the fuel barrel to your level. Grab the fuel barrel and carefully carry round to a wall with a crack in it. Be careful of the fire jets. Inside the wall is a switch. Use the switch and it will open a bridge on the lower level. Head to that bridge and walk straight forward avoiding the boulders. On your left is a switch. Flick the switch and head back to higher level. On the higher level, there should be a bridge now open. Cross the bridge, climb the ladder and defeat the enemy so you can use the cannon. Use the cannon and destroy the two wooden targets to raise the path. Head back to the ground level. Defeat the enemies and head across the raised path. Inside the gap is the boss area. To beat the boss, first, free him from the ice. He will swallow the Spellstone. Attack his tail first and he will then eat you. When eaten, you will see the Spellstone. Attack the Spellstone and you will be ejected from his stomach. He will fire green balls at you and then he will breathe in. Attack the chestal region when he breathes in with the Fire Blaster and he will eat you again. Attack the Spellstone again and you will get your hands on the Spellstone. He will eject you from his stomach again and he will be defeated. You then have to take the Spellstone back to Dinosaur Planet by jumping into your ship.

DINOSAUR PLANET FLYING SECTION

Very easy. Fly through one gold ring.

THORNTAIL HOLLOW (4)

On arriving, you will be told that the Thorntail beacons have been put out. Head to the Fireweed tree and collect 3 Fireweeds. The first beacon is next to the Fireweed tree on an elevated piece of land. Place the fireweed on the beacon and get Tricky to Flame it. The second beacon will require you to open a gate. Go to the area next to where you met the Queen Earthwalker. There should be a ledge you can grab hold of. Jump over all the ledges and by the gate is a switch. Flick the switch to open the gate. Walk through the gate and place the fireweed on the beacon. Get Tricky to Flame the beacon. The last beacon can be found near the Warpstone. Do the same procedure and one of the Thorntails will give you a Moon Pass Key. Grab the maps to Moon Mountain Pass and the Volcano Force Point Temple. You may want to get the Krazoa Palace map as well. Moon Mountain Pass is next to the well on the right. Follow the path and you will reach a dead end. You will need a bomb spore to get through the wall. You will meet a hole in front of you. Fall down it and go left. You will be running out of air so quickly jump on the ledges and get on the vent which pushes you up. Head out and to your left and you will be at Moon Mountain Pass.

MOON MOUNTAIN PASS/VOLCANO FORCE POINT TEMPLE

Follow the path round and the Sharpclaw will start rolling barrels at you. Walk your way up avoiding the barrels until you reach a door with a lock on it. Use the Moon Pass Key to open the door and then head to the slope on the left. This will lead you to the platform above the door. Defeat the two enemies and that will release a force field. Head down the slope and go straight ahead. Inside are moving platforms over lava. When the platforms move out, quickly jump across and out through the gap on the third platform. Follow the path round and you see a small tube with fire coming out. Fall down when the fire is coming and move forward. Quickly walk across the ledge and you will see a slope with barrels falling down it. Walk up the slope being careful not to hit the barrels. Follow the path and you will see two paths and two fire bat creatures. Jump over the gap and climb the wall on the other side. Head straight forward and use the Spellstone on the pad on the floor. Keep walking and defeat the enemy. You may have noticed that there are two different coloured balls and fire which changes colour. Shoot the balls through the fire of the correct colour to unlock the door. Walk to the door and use the SpellStone to open it. Walk forward and you will be blocked by a red force field. Walk up to it and turn round. 4 enemies will appear. Defeat the enemies to break through the force field. Walk through and you will notice two furnaces. Use Tricky to Flame the furnaces and then climb the ladder. Jump the ledges and follow the path round and you will find a magic cave. Go to the middle pad and get the Ice Blast. Exit the magic cave and use the Ice Blast to put out the fires in the furnace room on the higher level. After you have put out all 4 fires, the floor will move and a lift will rise. Get to the floor and use the lift to take you down. Walk along the path and kill the enemies with the Ice Blast and you will enter the temple. Walk up to the pad and use the Spellstone. It will open a door. Head back and on the left will be a flame grill. Put out the fire with the Ice Blast and head through the door. Follow the path until you reach the lift. Use the lift to get to the upper level. Take the ladder and extinguish the 4 fires on the ledge. This will unlock the door. Head down and through the door. You will notice the red force field. Enemies will appear. Defeat the enemies and leap across the moving ledges. Tricky won’t follow so you have to shoot the targets on the moving ledges to get Tricky across. Light the furnace to open the door. Follow the path through and you will notice a pad in the middle. Walk round and enter the pad. Walk to the centre column and enter the Spellstone in the correct hole. After that, it will transport you. Walk forward, fall through the fire tube, follow the path, walk up the barrel slope and turn right. Walk through the corridors and you will reach the sliding ledges again. Jump the ledges and head out. You will be stopped and a door will be opened. Go through the door and follow the path. You will reach a magic cave. Move the stone out of the way and go in. Jump to the middle and get a Ground Quake. Head out of the cave and attack the creature in the pit. To defeat the creature, use the Ground Quake and the creature will spin round. Hit his back when he spins to defeat him. Collect the Moonseed and plant it in a patch near the door. Get Tricky to Flame the Moonseed and then climb up the vines. Get some more Moonseeds and head to the end of the passage. Plant another moonseed and get Tricky to Flame it. Climb up the vines and head into a cave. Use a bomb spore in the patch of ground and explode it. Walk through the wall and something will fall from the sky. A new creature will emerge. The only way to kill it is to freeze it and then hit it. Move on down and your path is blocked. You need to find 3 glowing stones. There should be 2 in the ground (one left and one right) and a stone on fire. Get all three stones in the back three jets directly in front of the boulder blocking your path. The boulder should float in the air allowing passage through. Head through and plant a moonseed. Make it grow and climb up. Follow the path down the slope and plant another moonseed and make that grow. Climb up and follow the path up and you will find a warp pad. Use the warp pad and climb up the ladder. You will see two whirlpools and a fire grill. Swim past the whirlpools and put the fire out. Climb up the wall and turn round to shoot a sun symbol. This will raise the water level. Swin across the water and follow the passage round. You will see fire shooting up and a thin walkway. Follow the walkway round and you will see a shut gate. Open the gate by shooting a sun symbol. Inside is the Krazoa Spirit. You will have to do a test of combat. It’s very simple. Just defeat all the Sharpclaw within 3 and a half minutes. The key is not to panic. It will then warp you back to the warp pad. Head outside for a cut screen and it will tell you to go to Krazoa Palace. Head down the path and on to the ground level. Go forward until you reach vents of air and platforms in water. To your left is a fuel barrel. You have to get the fuel barrel across the water before it explodes because the fuel barrel has a timer on it. Don’t panic. Use the fuel barrel to open up a passage and walk through. This should bring you back to familiar surroundings. Follow the path down and do not climb any vines. Climb down a vine at the end of the path and you should be near the barrel run you faced earlier. Run through the door and do not stop because barrels are chasing you. Keep following the path to Thorntail Hollow. You will reach the air vent again. Go left and that will bring you out on the path to Thorntail Hollow.

THORNTAIL HOLLOW (5)

Head to the Warpstone,and get the Warpstone to send you to Krazoa Palace which should be right.

KRAZOA PALACE

Walk forward and up the slope. A red force field blocks the way in. Enemies will appear and you will have to defeat them to enter. Enter the Palace and you won’t be able to see much. You require your lantern for this part. If you have run out of fireflies, the boxes outside contain fireflies. Also, to the right of the slope to the palace entrance is a fuel barrel pad with a timer. You need this to blow up a wall. The route is simple but hard to follow in the dark. You need to go right at the entrance, left and all the way to the wall, left and all the way to the wall, left and then left, then left again. This will take you to the floor and it is then a right turn to see the crack in the wall. Throw the fuel barrel to open the way. Walk through and look up to see a sun symbol. Shoot it and the fire jets will move from side to side. Pick up the fuel barrel and carefully guide yourself between the fire jets to blow up the wall at the end of the hall. Walk through and you will see two balls of different colours next to a contraption protected by a force field. Be careful because this contraption shoots fire. Shoot the balls through the fire of the correct colour. It will drop the force field around the contraption allowing you to destroy it with your Fire Blaster. Walk over to where the contraption was and you will notice a button on the floor. To keep the door open, you will need a fuel barrel, meaning you will have to negotiate the fire again. Get the fuel barrel to the button and place it down to open the door. Walk through the door and you see two enemies. Defeat them and go to the lift directly behind the warp pad. The warp pad isn’t active. Walk down the passage and turn left. You will see air vents and enemies. For this Krazoa Spirit, you need to reach the roof. Ride the air vents to as high as you can go, then run around the balcony until you see another vent in the wall. It will take you to the roof. Once there, run up to Krystal trapped on the platform in the middle. It will open the Krazoa Spirit pad. Go to the pad with the face that has emerged and release the spirit. You will be transported back to Thorntail Hollow.

THORNTAIL HOLLOW (6)

The Warpstone will tell you where to go next and he gives you a Medium Scarab Bag. You need to go to Cape Claw. Buy whatever you need and head to Cape Claw. From the Warpstone, Cape Claw is straight ahead and to the right. Follow the path until you reach a staked area. Head right and fall into the water. Go left and back on dry land. Follow the path until you reach a right turn. Take the right and follow the path round to Lightfoot Village. Walk down the trail and you will see a shut gate and a pedestal in front of it. Talk to the pedestal and you will require 60 Scarabs to enter Cape Claw. Search for Scarabs and then pay the fare. The gate will open and you will enter a maze. The map is very helpful here but I’ll guide you through. Go left, follow the path round, at the junction turn left and then first right, then second left. This will bring you to where you want to be. Follow the path round until you reach a ladder going down. Go down the ladder and then go left down a second ladder. Go straight forward, past the ladder going down and go to the one going up. Climb that and you’ll be at Cape Claw.

CAPE CLAW

Head down the path until you reach a waterfall. There is a sun symbol behind the waterfall. Shoot that and the bridge will open. Cross the bridge and go down the slopes and into the water. Head right in the water to the beach. Cross the beach to the far side where the big dinosaur is. To get to the dinosaur requires 25 Scarabs to get past the guard. Talk to the big dinosaur and he wants you to find 4 gold bars. The first one is on the beach where you just came from opposite the walkway to the dinosaur. The second is on the beach near the jail on the other side underneath a box. The third is on a little beach on the other side of the platform with the cannon on. The fourth is on a little beach next to the third gold bar but you have to use Tricky to Flame the bushes to get through. Take the gold bars to the dinosaur. He will reveal a ladder in the top corner near the jail. Head towards that and climb it. A switch will be on your right, activate it and a gate will open. Climb down the ladder and jump across the gap and go through the open gate. Be careful when you go in. The door will shut and the 4 blocks will move revealing toxic gas pumps. Push all 4 blocks back over the gas pumps to escape. You will notice that you won’t have enough air to move all 4 blocks so stand on the platform in the corner to get fresh air. The key is not to panic. Once all the blocks are back in position, the exit will open and the jail bars will drop. Head to the jail and you will meet a Cloudrunner. You will have to go back to Thorntail Hollow and fly to the Cloudrunner Fortress. Follow the path and head down the ladder, go past the ladder going down and climb the one going up. Take a right and climb the ladder and go through the maze back towards Lightfoot Village. When you reach the fence, take a right and fall into the water. Get back on dry land and follow the path to Thorntail Hollow. Buy whatever you need and jump in the ship. You need 10 fuel cells to get to Cloudrunner Fortress.

CLOUDRUNNER FORTRESS FLYING SECTION

It’s a bit trickier this time. Fly through 5 gold rings to drop the force field.

CLOUDRUNNER FORTRESS

Walk forward until you reach the gates. Take a right and go down the ladder. Dead ahead of you is a platform with a button on it. Swim over to it and get ready for a race against time when you step on the button. Get through the race by jumping on the boxes and ledges. Go in the water and you don’t have much of a chance. Complete the race to reveal a sun symbol above the gates. Climb the ladder and shoot the sun symbol the open the gates. Run as fast as you can up the spiral slope as there is no way you can avoid or shoot down the electric defence contraptions. When up, you will notice the gate is shut and a ladder going down. Go down the ladder and head to the end of the balcony and flick the switch. The gate will open so head over to it and walk through. A cut screen will play and you will be captured. You will find yourself in a prison. There is a loose block in the wall, push it clear and escape. You will get a message about a SharpClaw disguise so forget about getting your staff back for now. Follow the path and on the far side of the room with the cages in is a guard sleeping and your staff. On the ground are patches of water. You need to get through the door on the other side without waking the guard so don’t step in the water. Get through the door and follow the path until you reach a dead end. Turn left and climb down the ladder. On the ground is a vent, a button and a timer fuel barrel. Pick up the fuel barrel and place it on the vent. Go over and stand on the button and the fuel barrel will fly up and blow a hole in the roof. Slippy will give you a SharpClaw disguise. Activate the SharpClaw disguise and walk down to wake up the guard. He will leave you in command and you can get your staff back. Open the cages by activating the switches on the walls. One of the animals will give you a Power Room key. He wants you to activate the wind lifts so you have to get the generator operational. Walk round to the closed door and shoot the sun symbol to open it. Walk through and on the right is a wall that you can climb up. Climb up three walls and you will reach the place where you were captured earlier. Search the area thoroughly remembering that the electric shock contraptions can only see you if you walk into the spotlight. In the centre of the garden where the Queen Cloudrunner was beaten are three buttons. These buttons open gates around the garden. Inside the gates are chests with Light Gems inside. You need these Light Gems to get the generator operational. The left button opens a gate on the left. To get this chest you have to climb onto a box next to a ladder, destroy the box blocking the switch, activate the switch, climb the ladder and put out two fires. You may want to do this beforehand. The middle button opens a gate on the higher level. To get to this, climb a tall stack of boxes and run across the upper level. The right button opens a gate to the right. To get to this, you need to use your Booster. Once you have got all three, head to the power generator room which is located near the big stack of boxes. The door to it is shut so you need to use the power room key is the slot provided. The door is now open but inside is poisonous gas. Quickly place all three gems in the slots provided. Grab some fresh air if needs be. This will activate the wind lifts. Head to the upper level by climbing the stack of boxes again, walk to the end of the ledge and float across the wind lift to the other side. Activate your SharpClaw disguise to open the gate. Walk through the gate and defeat all the SharpClaw to drop the force field. Walk through the gap that had the force field to find a timer fuel barrel. You can only pick this up as a SharpClaw. Pick it up and carry it quickly out of the room and place it on the pad in another room further down to the left. Climb the ladder and stand on the SharpClaw pad. The contraption will move down and pick the fuel barrel up. Pick up the fuel barrel, exit the room and turn right. Jump over the gap and the barrel will drop over the other side and explode, opening the path. Walk through and the grill will drop you down. Float across and head to the far right. There is another SharpClaw pad and this will drop a ladder down to the right and the left of the wind lift tunnel. The pillar underneath the trapped Cloudrunner is weak so a fuel barrel will destroy it. To get a fuel barrel across, you need to activate two switches, one to the right and one to the left of the Cloudrunner. The right hand switch is easy, the left hand one requires a jump on to the stacked boxes and then onto the platform. The two switches combine to open a gate. Go to where you picked up the fuel barrel the first time and pick up another. Take it across the wind lift and blow the pillar up. The Cloudrunner will give you a Cloudrunner Flute so you can save the Queen’s babies. As soon as you exit the jail area, the rescue of the babies begins. If the bar at the bottom of the screen gets to the end, they will fly away and you will lose. Take out the SharpClaw and then get near to the babies and use the flute. The first one will be to your right on exiting the jail area. The second one is through the gate opposite the first one. Shoot the sun symbol over the gate to get through. The third one is near the spiral slope when you first entered. Jump down off the balcony to the ground below, get to the area where you pressed the three buttons, walk down the path opposite the buttons, take a left and then a right down a ladder, walk about halfway across the platform until you see a box, destroy the box to reveal a booster, use the booster and then head left. The fourth one is the opposite side of the area where the first one was. Be quick but do not panic. When you have done all 4, head back to the Queen Cloudrunner. You will be rewarded with the gate to the Spellstone being opened. Head straight out and drop down the wind lift. Turn right and head towards the arch. On the right is a ladder going down, drop down the ladder and follow the tight path round to the gate. Walk through and to your right and follow the path. You will notice some fireflies so you know what is coming next. Opposite the fireflies is a path, follow it until you reach a wind lift. A switch is available so use it and the wind lift will go down instead of up. Go back the way you came and back to where the fuel barrels are. Grab a fuel barrel and turn left and left again to drop down to where you were. Grab the barrel again and head right into a dark room. Activate the lantern and go forward and then right until you see a crack in the wall. Throw the fuel barrel to get through. Inside is a ladder, climb down it. Head down one of the tunnels and this will lead to a jet mobile race. All you need to do is hit the lead jet mobile to get the Spellstone. Just keep that finger on the A button. You will retrieve the Spellstone and leave the Cloudrunner Fortress.

DINOSAUR PLANET FLYING SECTION

You know the drill. Fly through one gold ring to reach Dinosaur Planet.

THORNTAIL HOLLOW (7)/CAPE CLAW

You have to head to Cape Claw. You should know the way. If not, look further up in this walkthrough. When you reach Cape Claw, on the beach is a Lightfoot being attacked. Help him out and after a cut screen, he will give you a fire gem. Head over to the far corner where the ladder is, climb and jump to the left across the gaps. There will be a SharpClaw pad so use the disguise to open the door. Inside, the place is full of water. Swim to a platform on the far left and it should have a button on it. Get Tricky to stay on the button and the platform will be raised. Swim over to it and jump onto the ledge with the switch on it. It will open up something under the bridge. Go round to the opening and swim round to the right. You will find a room with a face on the far side. Head towards it and flames will cover the face. Put out the flames and remove the fire gem from its mouth. The room will fill up with water and a door will open. Exit the room and head to the open door. Place the two fire gems in the two mouths and you will find that one works and one doesn’t. The sun cannot get through so you need to get the tall pillar down. There is a switch near the base of the tall pillar. That will make the pillar drop. Get Tricky to stay on the pillar and then flick the switch to elevate it. Get Tricky to Flame the bushes and the sun will then come through and open the door to the Ocean Force Point Temple. Walk through and you will meet your first puzzle. Head to the shut gate on the far side and look up. You will see a sun symbol. Shoot it and the water level will rise. Head to an opening on the left and you will come across vines that Tricky can Flame. Flame them and a block is behind it. Push the block and make the water level drop by shooting the symbol again. Push the block over the button in the middle of the room and walk through the now open gate. Keep going until you see a ladder on the right hand side of a sandy area. Climb that ladder and a second ladder, walk across to the pad and use the Spellstone to open the door. Walk through and you will see an area with a button. Get Tricky to stay on the button and the wall will light up. The lights correspond to the pads on the floor opposite the wall. Remember that left on the wall means left on the floor and not the pad directly opposite. Press the pads in the correct sequence to get through. Walk forward and enter the water on the left. Go into the open area and swim towards the platform on the far end. Jump across and you will see 3 walkways. Go up each one and activate the switches at the end of each one. Once you have done that, head out of the open area, stay in the water and go to the wall. Take the left and to the left will be a ledge and a wall to climb up. Climb up and you will see a pad. Past the pad is fire changing colour and a ball to shoot. Shoot it and the pad will be available. Use the pad and go through the doors in front of you. Take the right hand exit and go into the water. Head for the switch on the left and make the water drop. To your right when facing the central column is a SharpClaw pad. Activate it and a block will be released. Drag the block to a little gap to the left on the central column. This will enable you to climb back up and change the water level. First, you have to open the door. There should be a switch to the right of the door. Activate it and the door will open. Raise the water level to escape. Swim through the door and head towards your next puzzle. To your right is a furnace, light it and 4 flames in the middle will be lit. Put out all the flames by shooting at the sun symbols when the fire comes to that column. You have 2 minutes 30 to put out the flames. When done, you have another puzzle to complete. This puzzle involves shooting the sun symbols on the box and getting the box into the slot where the two flames are. Go round and shoot it long, then shoot it towards the flame bit, shoot it long again, shoot it towards the central wall. Shoot it long and then shoot it into the flame section to complete it. This will give you a booster pad through the door. When doing the box puzzle, the box must not touch the outer wall. Go through the door and use the booster. Follow the path until you reach an area with a warp pad which is currently impossible to reach. On the platform is changing fire and a ball to shoot. Shoot it and a bridge will open. Walk across and enter the warp pad. Enter the Spellstone in the correct slot. You will be transported to the sandy area. Head straight out and you will be required to return to Thorntail Hollow. Head back to Thorntail Hollow. I’m sure you know the way by now but if not, look further up in this walkthrough. As soon as you enter the Lightfoot Village, you will be stopped and caught.

LIGHTFOOT VILLAGE

You will be trapped and the Lightfoot are going to kill you. A Cloudrunner gives you a chance to escape. At the top of the screen will be a blue bar with a yellow segment. Stop the bar in the yellow segment to set the Lightfoot on fire. It gets progressively harder to get the bar in the yellow segment but don’t panic. When completed, you will notice that you are on an elevated region with small towers. Some towers have blocks in, some don’t. You must find the 3 missing blocks before you can continue. The first is one near the ladder to the elevated region. The second is behind some vines on a little island near the elevated region. The last one is further right from the second. You may want to use the booster and go through the forest, drop down and the piece will be on the left. Take the 3 pieces back to the elevated region and put them in the correct holes. You may have noticed that these elevate platforms in the water. These are crucial to for later on. You have to go and talk to the Chief Lightfoot. Head to the first set of platforms and you will see a rock. Flip the rock and it will unveil a booster. Use the booster, walk along the bridge, drop down the ladder and go across the bridge to see him. He will give you tests to pass. The first is the Tracking Test. You may want to search for the 4 totem poles beforehand. The second is the Test of Strength. It’s very easy, just press A quickly. Complete these and they will let you into the cave. Get to the ground floor and you will see three boxes stacked together. On top of the third box is a button. Stand on it and the totem pole in the centre will move. Shoot the totem pole when the snake picture is in the right spot and make the snake picture complete. This will open the gate. Walk through the gate and use the warp pad. Walk forward and destroy the box to reveal a booster. Use it and follow the path. You will see a button and lots of flames. The button is on a timer so you have to reach the other end really quickly. Succeed and you will meet another challenge. Stand on the button and the water will drain and the gate will open. You have to quickly run through the pits to get through the gate. Inside the pits are spikes so be careful. The next challenge requires you to climb down the ladder and quickly get on the button nearby. You then have to quickly run up the barrel run and through the gate. This is the hardest test you will encounter. It is the Test Of Fear. Move the analog stick to keep the bar in the yellow area. Don’t panic. Focus on that bar constantly. When completed, you will be transported to Lightfoot Village. Exit Lightfoot Village and head for Thorntail Hollow. When at Thorntail Hollow, head to the Warpstone and go to Krazoa Palace.

KRAZOA PALACE (2)

Go up the lift and head to the right. You need to go two levels up and when there, use the SharpClaw disguise to get through the door. Release the spirit and you will be transported to Thorntail Hollow.

THORNTAIL HOLLOW (8)

Walk forward and head towards the distressed Thorntail. Her eggs are being stolen. Protect her eggs for 1 minute and 40 seconds and she will show you a magic cave. Protecting the eggs can be quite tricky. Go inside the magic cave and you will be given a Portal Device. Head out and go and see the Queen Earthwalker. She will tell you about the gatekeeper’s powers locked behind the portal door. Open the door with the Portal device and the path to the Walled City will be open. Buy whatever you need and head to you ship and go to the Walled City. You need 12 fuel cells to get to the Walled City.

WALLED CITY FLYING SECTION

You need to fly through 7 gold rings. It’s a little tricky but it does get harder later on.

WALLED CITY

Head straight forward and take the bridge on the left. Cross the bridge and turn left. There is a glowing circle on the floor. Use the Ground Quake to open up the furnace on the level above you. To reach the furnace, you have to run through the gap shown. You get 1 minute for this test. To reach it, run up the first slope and go left. Keep running round until you reach another slope. Run up the slope and turn right. Run round and the gap will be on your left. Run through and you will reach the furnace. Get Tricky to quickly Flame the furnace and a sun light will be lit. The moon light is located on the other side of the structure. You get 1 minute 20 for this one. Do the same as before but take a left on the second slope and the gap will be on your right. Flame the furnace and the floor will open. Head down into the underground room and you will meet the King Earthwalker. He will tell you about the two teeth and a magic cave. Find the magic cave first. The magic cave is located over the bridge straight out from the underground cave and is on an elevated patch. To get up on that level you have to burn through some vines and climb up the wall. On top is a bomb spore patch. Place a bomb spore and blow it up to reveal the magic cave. Go in and get the Super Ground Quake. The Super Ground Quake can stun the big dinosaurs (RedEye). Use the Super Ground Quake and then get Tricky to Flame the Red Eye. Kill all 4 to drop the red force field on a small building on a hill. To get to this building, cross the bridge in front of the underground cave and there is a slope next to the bomb spore pod. Walk up the slope and into the building. Open the chest and get a Gold Redeye Tooth. To get the final tooth, you have to shoot four targets hidden in trees. The tree targets are located next to Earthwalkers on the outer side of the Walled City. Shoot the 4 targets and a star loop will appear in the water near the waterfall. The time won’t start until you go through the first loop. It’s not that difficult. Open the chest in the small hut when you reach it and you will get the Silver Redeye Tooth. Head back to the King Earthwalker and put the Gold tooth in the red monster to the left and the silver tooth in the blue monster to the right. This will open the path to the King Redeye in the middle. Enter and you will be taken to the boss area. To defeat the boss, you have to get a fuel barrel and stand on the electric pad to shock the big Redeye. Throw the fuel barrel at the head to get a hit. Do this 4 times to get the Spellstone. It gets harder the more you hit him. You will be returned back to the ship when you have got the Spellstone and you must return to Dinosaur Planet and head for the Volcano Force Point Temple.

DINOSAUR PLANET FLYING SECTION

You should know this by now.

THORNTAIL HOLLOW (9)/MOON MOUNTAIN PASS/VOLCANO FORCE POINT TEMPLE

Head towards Moon Mountain Pass and into the Volcano Force Point Temple. The way to go is further up in this walkthrough. Head through and pass the Spellstone over the pad to open the gate and then pass the Spellstone over the lock to gain access. Head forward and straight down the lift. Go through and pass the Spellstone over the correct pad to unlock the door. The bridge is out so you have to travel on the floating platforms in the lava. Get to that door and go through it and take the lift. Notice the flame colours down the path. This is a clue. The door ahead won’t open so head up the ladder which is located in the blue room. Extinguish the flames in the order shown in the passage to unlock the door. Get to the door and two enemies will appear. Defeat them and a button will appear. Get Tricky to stay on the button and the ladder will be accessible. Climb up and extinguish the flame. Behind the flame is a switch. Activate the switch to open a gate. Walk through the gate and you will see a flaming block and changing fire. There are 3 target balls to shoot so you have to extinguish the flame on the block and get Tricky to stay on the button to keep the block moving. This will unlock the door. Walk through and use the warp pad. Place the Spellstone in the correct hole. Head back to Thorntail Hollow. On approaching Thorntail Hollow, bats will fly out of the well and attack the Thorntails. Kill all the bats before the bar reaches the end. There are 5 in the main area and 1 on the path to Cape Claw. Save them all and receive a Large Scarab Bag. Get 130 Scarabs and buy the Snowhorn Artifact from the store. Then head to Snowhorn Wastes. You should know the way. If not, look further up in this walkthrough.

SNOWHORN WASTES (3)

On arrival, turn left and walk up the slope. Go to the freezing water with ice blocks floating in it. Leap over and talk to the Snowhorn. He will say that his gold root has been stolen. Give him the Snowhorn Artifact and you will give you a challenge. To activate the challenge, blow on the horn in your inventory but don’t do it yet. This challenge is time-consuming so it is better to clear the route first. Behind the Snowhorn is ice. Flame it and go through. Further on is a stretch of water and a big tree on the other side. You can’t swim across so you need to make the tree fall. Shoot the small hole where yellow eyes appear and the tree will fall if done correctly. If you follow the path correctly, you will appear in familiar territory. Head through the gate and go straight forward until you reach some water. Take a left and a big tree stands in your way. Shoot the hole as you had done previously and the tree will fall. Now head back to the Snowhorn as your path is now open. Once you blow your horn, another pad will appear. Go to that pad and blow the horn. Another will appear and so on until you have finished it. When the pads appear, quickly check for familiar areas so you know where they will be. When completed, the Snowhorn will open a gate to a warp pad. Go back to where you met the Snowhorn and go through the gap you made and over the tree. Go left instead of right and it’s located over the water. Swim across and use the warp pad. Go forward and take the ladder on the right. On your right will be a fuel barrel. You have to get the fuel barrel to the wall on the other side traversing the small pathway and avoiding the creatures. You may want to destroy the creatures first. You then need another fuel barrel and place it on the pad so the contraption can pick it up. You will see a switch. The switch alters where the fire comes from. Make sure the fuel barrel does not hit the fire. There are 3 fire jets so you will need to flick the switch twice. When the fuel barrel has been delivered, float it across the wind lift and place it on the pad. Defeat the SharpClaw and pick the fuel barrel back up. Walk to the fire and when the fire isn’t there, throw the barrel and the entrance will be opened. Go through for another test. This test is the Test Of Strength. It’s very simple. Just tap A very quickly and it’s an easy victory. You must now head back to Thorntail Hollow and go to Krazoa Palace. Look further up in this walkthrough if you don’t know the way. Use the Warpstone to take you to Krazoa Palace.

KRAZOA PALACE (3)

Go up the lift and left. You only want to go one level up and walk along that level to find a portal door. Use your Portal Device and release the spirit. You will be sent to Thorntail Hollow.

THORNTAIL HOLLOW (10)

The Warpstone will give you some information. The gatekeeper is the Thorntail near the well. Speak to him. You have to travel to Dragon Rock. You need 15 fuel cells to get to Dragon Rock.

DRAGON ROCK FLYING SECTION

Very tricky this. You must collect all 10 gold rings to get to Dragon Rock. All I can say is practise makes perfect.

DRAGON ROCK

This place is not easy. Head left until you see a building with a ladder. Climb the ladder and be careful of the fire. Walk round the entire walkway until you reach a fuel barrel. Pick it up and get it to the pad next to the switch which you should have passed. Activate the switch and the contraption will move. Run ahead of the contraption and press the button underneath the fire jets so the contraption can get the fuel barrel to the other side safely. Use the fuel barrel to destroy the wood nearby. Walk through the passage until you reach a spinning fire jet. To the left is a switch so run round to the right to reach it. Activate it and a gate will opened releasing an Earthwalker. Go to him. He will tell you about the shield generators for the shooting contraptions. They are hidden in the walls near the contraptions and have a green glow. Find them and smash them. You may want to search for them beforehand. Get on the Earthwalkers back and smash them but he has a limited life so be careful with him. There are 4 generators. Once you have them all, get off his back and shoot all the contraptions down. When all are destroyed, a gate will open. Go through that gate and use the booster near the big dinosaur. Go round in front of the dinosaur and you will notice he is restrained by 4 ropes and there are 4 targets. Shoot these quickly or they will reset. You then have to protect him as he travels across the plain. You have unlimited fire power but the missiles come thick and fast from the centre column and are not easy to hit. Protect him and he will open a new area for you. Go down and kill all the enemies by freezing them and hitting them once when frozen. You will notice fire jets and buttons to shoot. Find a middle ground and get Tricky to stay on the button next to the fuel barrel. The contraption will pick up the fuel barrel and you have to shoot the targets to get the barrel across. The targets are on a timer so just shooting them won’t work. Go to the fuel barrel and climb up the ladder nearby. You have to get the fuel barrel past the fire jets by floating them across the wind lifts. This can get frustrating. Once through, blow the wood away from the gap and go through. Go down and see the switch. Activate it and the cage will move. Flick it again to stop the cage. You want to stop the cage over the hole in the pipe straight ahead of you. Climb over and the pipe below has a furnace. Flame it and the cage will come crashing down. The bird wants to stretch its wings. This next bit is extremely tough. You have to shoot the 4 red circular targets on top of the 4 spires around the edge of the plain. Unfortunately, you have to protect the bird from missile fire. Just keep firing and hope for the best. The Cloudrunner will drop you off at the top of the central column and you’ll fall in and land on a platform. You will meet Boss Dalkor. Dalkor can only be beaten by shooting the midsection. It’s very similar to the protection mission you just did. Shoot boxes for health and targets to stop the flame jets. It’s quite fiddly but not overly tricky. Defeat him and collect the Spellstone.

DINOSAUR PLANET FLYING SECTION

No need to mention this now really.

THORNTAIL HOLLOW (11)/CAPE CLAW/OCEAN FORCE POINT TEMPLE

You have to head to Cape Claw. At Lightfoot Village, a cut screen will occur just telling you how to get back into Lightfoot Village if you want to go back. At Cape Claw, you will notice that the temple door is blocked, so you need the cannon. To get to the cannon, you need to reach the far beach near the jail and go through a little alcove. There will be a portal door that you need to open and behind that is a flame pit that you need to put out. Use the cannon to clear the way and go on through. Go all the way to the sandy area. Go up the ladders in the far right corner and pass the Spellstone over the pad. Complete the electric puzzle like you did before. Go to the far end and left into the water, go round until you reach a wall that you can climb. Climb it and use the warp pad. Go straight through the door and go left to that door instead of right that you went last time. Enter the room and to your right is a block. Push this block to the platform with a little step next to it. Climb on the step and then the block and then onto the platform. Activate the switch to open the door. Jump to the ledge on the right and behind a box is a SharpClaw disguise pad. Activate this and another switch is revealed. Activate that and the water level will rise meaning you can get through the door. Go through and head to the switch on the right. Underneath the 4 pillars are colours. These are crucial to this challenge. Activate the switch and four colour fires appear. Extinguish the flames using the correct colour of pillar making this test slightly harder. You have 3 minutes. You then have the shooting box puzzle. The difficult part is the first shot. Standing from the opposite door, shoot down and the solution is easy. Another booster is available so go through the door and go left. Use the booster and go round to the warp pad. Shoot the ball through the changing fire and the bridge will appear. Go through, use the pad and place the Spellstone. The job isn’t complete so head back to Thorntail Hollow. You should know the way. Go to the shop and make sure you have the Sight Zoomer before you head to the Walled City. Head to the ship and go to the Walled City.

WALLED CITY FLYING SECTION

Fly through 7 gold rings. You should be used to this by now.

WALLED CITY (2)

Head to the King Earthwalker at the huge temple and he will open two areas where the doors were closed off earlier. Go to whichever one you want and a puzzle confronts you. For the purpose of this walkthrough, I’ll be doing the red temple first. The blocks must not touch the outer wall when pushed. When the puzzle is complete, a door will open. Climb up to the temple and use the lift to go up. Stand on the small square and face the big hole. Zoom in using the Sight Zoomer through the hole and a door will be opened at the foot of the temple. Go down and you will see three blocks. The pictures on these show that all 3 are in the wrong place. Get the moon block in the blue hole and the sun blocks in the correct holes with the pictures facing out. The door will open. Go through and you will see a glowing pad. Don’t hit this yet with the Ground Quake. Have a search round and get your bearings. When you are happy, hit the pad. You will be blocked off so you need to activate the relative switches. The first switch is easy, the second is behind the fire, the third is a sun symbol across a gap to shoot and the last is behind some bushes. Go through the door and you will see a portal door, open it. Go through and you will see a spinning disc with targets. Shoot the targets from left to right and a path will be shown in the middle. Walk straight down the path and the middle of the disc contains a Sun Stone. Pick it up and head out. Go to the blue temple and the same principle applies to open the temple door. A clue is that one of the blocks has to be pushed three times. Go into the temple and a switch will be on your right. Activate the switch and gates will rise and fall and the door will be opened. The blocks on the floor fall so don’t stand on them too long. Time your run. Go through and you will see a big room and a glowing pad. Hit the pad with the Ground Quake and invisible walls appear. A clue here is take the long route. You only have 35 seconds so be quick. Go through and open the Portal door. You have another spinning disc in front of you. The same principle applies, shoot from left to right. Go across the gap and collect the Moon Stone. Head out and go to the underground cave where the King Earthwalker was when he was hiding from the Redeye. Put the Sun Stone on the left monster and the Moon Stone on the right monster. The Krazoa Shrine is on the top of the huge temple. Climb all the way up and go into the warp pad. Climb the ladder on the right and got through. Stand on the button and the gate will open. The button is timed so you don’t have very long to wait around for the fire jets to stop. Float across the wind lift and two flame pits are in the way. Put the fire out and go to the edge of the ledge. Turn round and look up and shoot the sun symbol. The gate will open and you can walk through. Ahead is a button and spinning fire jets. Stand on the button and quickly get to the other side. You do not have a lot of time. Go through to face the next test. This test is a Test of Knowledge so have a look round before you attempt it. You have to match the items with the places you got them from. This is time consuming so try to remember where you got everything from. You have a cut screen where you say goodbye to Tricky. Head back to the ship and go back to Dinosaur Planet. Your course will be adjusted and you will land on the top of Krazoa Palace.

KRAZOA PALACE (4)

On arrival, find the downward wind lift, take it down and then go to the level below. Go past the SharpClaw entrance and there is a passage further on. Go down the passage and across the wind lift, follow the passage round and release the spirit. The final shrine is now accessible on the roof so head back there and into the shrine. Walk through the gate and a red force field blocks the way back. Walk round the edge until you see a ladder. Climb it and walk into the centre. General Scales will attack you. Draw your staff and a voice will stop the fight. The voice will get General Scales to release the spirit to you. You will be transported to the roof. Release the spirit at the pad opposite you. You get a cut screen and you will be in the final battle.

FINAL BATTLE

You find out that Andross is behind all of it. To defeat the final boss, shoot the white targets which are the eyes and the head. Avoid the white circles he fires at you. Defeat the first part and go on to the other side. The other side you have to shoot his hands. Avoid the swipes with his hands and when he sucks in, spin away by going either hard left or hard right and using the appropriate spin. Destroy both the hands and you will go to other side. This time, you have to avoid the missile as well. Destroy the 3 targets and you will be in the final section. Shoot the hands again and avoid the swipes and white circles. Avoid getting sucked in and when you have destroyed both hands, you will be slowly sucked in. Falco will arrive to bail you out. He will occasionally drop boxes with bomb inside. When Andross sucks in, fire your bomb and the target will be his brain. It’s quicker if you can get multiple bomb or you are a good shot. Get the bar at the bottom to the end to win.

You will live happily ever after, or at least until the next adventure.
