Retro Game Walkthroughs for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (PlayStation 2)

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 Waltthrough,
Ok just to tell you this isn’t all my work. I got some of it from
other people so if you see any of your work in this you can have
some of the credit.
I just thought you should get all this in one big go. So you
don’t have to look around everywhere for it.
Anyway here it is,
Level: Foundry
Secret Area:
To open up the secret area in this level, just grind the molten
bucket. The area has a spiraling rail that leads from top to
bottom, which will give you loads of points.
Level: Foundry
Mission: 50-50 Tcs rail
When you start, go over the half pipe, on the left hand side
should be some rails. Grind along the one next to the man with a
camera. To grind it just jump up and push triangle.
Level: Foundry
Mission: Cannonball over the half pipe
When you start, there is a half pipe directly in front of you.
jump off the end nearest to you, then hold right and circle to do
a cannonball. hold this until you land on the other side. But
don't hold it too long otherwise you will bail.
Foundry
Mission: UN-Jam 5 valves
Around the edge of the level are peices that look like doors.
They are glowing red. Jump up and grind along them by pushing
triangle to un-jam them. Do all 5 and you will pass. After you
have done on it turns blue.
Level: Foundry
Mission: Soak The Foreman
Go up the stairs, and there should be a pool of water. On one
side is a wall, but the other side is just rails. go to the
rails. You should see a man standing in front of a rail. Jump on
and grind along, when you pass the man, it will set off a crain.
The crain will knock him into the water and he will be soaked.
Level: Foundry
Mission: Grind the Molten bucket
Find the firery pit that is at the far end of the level. A bucket
is repeativly brought to and from this area. when it is there, it
is tilted and lava pours out. While its is tilted, launch
yourself of the quatre pipe in front of it, then tap triangle to
gring the pole attached to the bucket. There is a pole both
sides, so it doesn't matte which side you are coming from. You
only need to just catch the pole and it will be complete.
Level: Foundry
Mission: Get the secret tape
At the start, go to your right and jump onto the high level (it
is yellow) follow it around until you reach a class room. Be
careful not to fall when your up there. If you look through the
glass side of the room, you can see a pipe. Jump off the ramp,
through the glass and grind along this pole. The tape is on this
pole and you will collect it as soon as you pass it. If you can,
carry on the pole and jump off. You will now find yourself in a
secret room, which has a few ramps in.
It is easier than it sounds :)
Level: Canada
Mission: Get the secret tape
Go down the ramp which you begin on, then turn around and go back
up it. jump off the ramp to land on the rof of the hut. then jump
onto the wooden path. Go towards the wooded half pipe that you
see in the distance. As you aproach it, gring the rail to your
left, next to a machine. This will open up a ramp. Jump from the
halfpipe onto this ramp, then jump onto the next level which has
a wooden roof. Now build up some speed by doing tricks in the hut
with a roof, then jump the gap onto another wooded path. Now
grind the rail on the right hand side all the way round. It will
turn into a broken rail track. you will be lead by the track to
the tape.
It is easier than it sounds :)
Level: Canada
Mission: Impress the skaters
Find the people holding skateboards, and pull off the best tricks
/ grinds you can in front of them. If it is good enough to
impress them it will tell you. The first few are easy to impress,
from the start, grind the rail, jump right onto the fence, grind
that, then jump left onto the wall and grind that. This will
impress one person, then turn round and do it the other way
around (this time you can leave out the wall) To impress the
rest, just try your special tricks. To see how to do your special
tricks, pause the game and go to edit tricks then special tricks.
Level: Canada
Mission: Bury The bully
Go down the ramp which you start on. Turn around and go back up
it. On the right you will see a tree filled with snow, under it
is the bully. Jump off the ramp, go to your right a bit, hit the
tree, and down come the snow. The mission is over, easy!
Level: Canada
Mission: Get Chuck unstuck
Another easy one. When you start, on your left is a fench either
jump over the fence or go around it. If you jump is, make sure
you don't go to far, otherwise you will land outside the playing
area and will be put back to the start. When your on the other
side of the fence, skate forward until you see a lamp post with a
crowd of people round it. One of those people has their tounge
stuck to the lamp, meet chuck. Just hit into him and he will be
free. After he is saved, he will be running around the level
shouting about his toung. If he annoys you hit into him and knock
him down.
Level: Canada
Mission: MelonGrab the blade
When you start, turn around. There is one steep ramp, plus two
others, either side of it. Go up the one on the right and hold
left and circle. You will do a melongrab and hopefully land on
the ramp that is on the right hand side.
Level: Canada
Mission: Nose grind the horn
Go down the starting ramp, then turn round, go up it and jump
onto the left side of the wooden path. You should come across a
wire that goes in a square. There should be a camera man near by.
jump up and press triangle and up to nosegrind this wire. Grind
all the way round to complete the mission.
Level: Rio
Rio is the first of the three tournements in the game.
The rules are:
Each run is 1 minute
skaters get 3 runs
bails hurt scores (if you fall off lots, it will deduct points)
average of top 2 scores is your final score
finish top 3 for medal (Gold, Silver, Bronse)
If you are aiming for gold, you will need around 70 - 80 thousand
points. so to do this you are going to need a lot of combos. Try
pulling off special tricks, then doing a manual (push up then
down) then do another special and so on. You could also try
grinding round the entire level, which can be done. But be
careful, if you fall off, all your points that you just earned
are gone.

Level: Suburbia
Mission: Restore power to the satellite
Go up the walk way to the house with a barbeque and swimming pool
in their back garden. Go up onto the roof of the house, by going
up the stairs. On the roof are two wires, each of which lead to
the house. You will notice that the wires have twigs hanging from
them. Below the wires a man is trying to knock them down. Grind a
long a wire, you will knock off the twigs as you go. Then go back
across and do the second wire. It doesnt matter which order you
do them in.
Level: Suburbia
Mission: Help The thin Man
If you go the building site, one of the rails has an axe above
it. Grind this rail to collect the axe. Now go the haunted house,
there is a door that is boarded up with woon and a man is
standing outside. aproach the man and he will take the axe from
you, then smach open the door. Now you can go in the house, and
the mission is complete.
Level: Suburbia
Mission: Smash the pumpkins
5 pumpkins can be found spread out around the level. The
locations for each are:
Outside the haunted house.
On the door step of the house with the satelight dish.
On top of a ramp that is near the barbeque.
On top of the ramp that is nearest to the haunted house.
Go behind the house with a jeep, on top of a wall is the final
pumpkin.
To smash the pumpkins just hit them. You can grind or trick into
them, or just skate over them. either way, the mission is passed.
Level: Suburbia
Mission: Heelflip the trailer
Go into the trailer park, at the far end is a trailer, with a
sort of ramp leading on to it. go up the dirt ramp and push right
and circle to heel flip. If you land on the other side of the
trailer, you pass.
Level: Suburbia
Mission: Nosegrab between the ramps
In the trailer park, build up your speed, by grinding and pulling
tricks etc. Then go up one of the two rear ramps, push up and
circle to jump from one to the other, while doing a nosegrab.
Level: Suburbia
Mission: Get the Secret Tape
After you have opened up the haunted house by helping the thin
man. go inside and follow it trough until your upstairs and
theres a big windown in front of you. Jump through this window.
Outside it is a tree branch and on that is the secret tape. Grind
the tree, grab the tape then do a trick as you fall to gain
points.
Level: Airports
Secret area:
At the start, jump over the counter on your right. and grind the
baggage convarbelt. You will go through the machine to a secret
area on the roof. Here you will find a helicopter, some ramps,
some rails and the esculators that lead back inside.
Level: Airports
Mission: Stop the pick pockets
If you see people wearing all black, running around with their
hands in the air, then chase them and knock them down. You muct
get all 5 of these theifs. Two are on either sides of the
escuators on flat ground at the start. then if you carry on, go
down the esculators and into the ladies toilets you will find two
more. Then go right down until you get to the place which has
loads of ramps and is surrounded by red rails and flags. The
final guy will be hiding around here somehwere.
Level: Airports
Mission: Visit 10 countaries
Go to the bottom room which is surrounded by red poles and flags.
Jump on and grind these red poles. As you go passed a flag, it
will be destroyes, and say a message. Go passed all 10 flags to
pass.
Level: Airports
Mission: Deliver the tickets
Grind the desk to your left at the start, then make your way to
the red pole and flag room. Don't fall over, otherwise you will
lose the tickets. You will also lose them if you pass through the
metal detectors, so jump over or around any you see. When your in
the room find the group of skaters waiting for tickets, and go up
to them.
Level: Airports
Mission: Airwalk the esculators
Go to the room with the big circle in the middle (baggage claim
room) there are some esculators leading outside in here. Go to
the one in the top left corner. on the left of it is a ramp, go
up the ramp, hold down a circle and you should jump over the
esculator. Now just land it ok, and you pass.
Level: Airports
Mission: Crooked grind the baggage claim
Go to the room with the big circle in the middle (baggage claim
room) Go up to the circle, and push up and right (at the same
time) and triangle, to crooked grind the circle. once it says you
have been all the way around jump off and you pass.
Level: Airports
Mission: Get The secret Tape
In the red pole and flag room find the steep ramp on the right
hand side. When you get high enough, push right and triangle to
grind along the highest red pole. You will hit into the tape as
your grinding, and you have finished another mission.
Level: Skaters Island
Skater Island is the second of the three tournaments in the game.

Secret Area: Go to the neversoft surfboard, then grind along the
wire which has a pirate flag attached to it. go over it and it
will open up a beach and pirate area outside. So you can get more
points. There is also the last stat point pickup for this level.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: Earthquake
Around there area that you start in, is four rails. Grind each
one to start the earthquake. Each rail is either surrounding or
inside the opened building that is directly in frot of you as you
begin.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: Stop the car chase
You may have noticed a police car going on around the streets. to
stop this, at the start of the level, there is a wire, leading to
the top of a building. Follow it up, then jump from the roof of
that building, onto the subway. The subway should be deserted and
damaged, thanks to the earthquake. Skate along the subway, until
you find a green car hanging off the side. Grind passed the car,
to knock it off. This car will then stop the car chase in its
tracks.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: Free Balling
In the centre of the level are two big red balls (No jokes please
people) Jump up, do a simple trick (kickflip etc) to knock them
out of their place and start rolling instead. Another way to free
them is to gring the top of them. Either way works fine.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: Get Secret Tape
At the start of the level, grind up the wire onto the roof. Then
jump onto the freeway, subway whatever it is called. You should
see a wooden plank, which could be used as a ramp. Jump off it
and land on the oposit building. Now jump onto the purple
building. there is a part of the building that sticks out quite
far. Grind the edge of this, and it will take you to the tape.
This is the hardest secret tape to get. At least I think it is.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: Varial Kickflip the tower rails
Go to your right, you should see a blue water filled circle. Just
passed this is a building with lots of glass windows on the
ground floor. Smash through these windows, and travel through to
the other side. Now to your right shold be a ramp, go up it to
build up speed. When you come back down the ramp, straight in
front of you should be some stairs with a camera man at the top.
grind up the rails on the side of these stairs, then jump and
push right and down (at the same time) to do a varial kickflip,
then come down and grind the rail leading down the stairs.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: One foot japan the tower
Go through the glass building, then go up the ramp. When your in
the air hold up and left (at the same time) then push square.
this will perform a one foot japan. If you do it just right, the
camera man will see you, and take the photo that you need to
pass.
Level: Los Angeles

finish top 3 for medal (Gold, Silver, Bronse)
If you are aiming for gold, you will once again need around 90 -
100 thousand points. So to do this you are going to need a lot of
combos. try pulling off special tricks, then doing a manual (push
up then down) then do another special and so on. You could also
try grinding round the entire level, which can be done. But be
careful, if you fall off, all your points that you just earned
are gone.There are a lot of rail transfers to be found in this
level. That is where you leap from one ramp to another while
doing a trick. These give you even more points than usual.
Good Luck - you will need it on this very hard level, where the
judges are very harsh when marking your performance.
Level: Cruise Ship
Mission: Raise the lifeboat
Find the big black half pipe. Just above it is a control switch,
and a man trying to fix it. Grind the switch to raise the boat
into the half pipe.
Level: Cruise Ship
Mission: Impress the neversoft girls
This is a lot like the mission in Canada, but you have more
people to impress.
They can be found at:

the deck below the pool
outside the museum
by the lefe boats
the bow of the ship
the stern of the ship
in the greenhouse
Most will be impressed easily, with special tricks, verts or
grind combo's. But others will play hard to impress.
Level: Cruise Ship
Mission: Wreck the museum
Jump down to the swimming pool deck. turn around and go into the
boat. You will now be in a room, this is the museum. There are
two wires leading from the ceiling to the floor near the window.
Grind these to break them loose. After you have done both,
something amazing will happen.
Level: Cruise Ship
Mission: Get the Secret tape
At the start grind alng the wires that go above the pool. Jump
off onto the red mast. This is styled a bit like a half pipe,
jump up the two ramp like ends, above one is the tape, which you
will grab as you make contact.
Level: Cruise Ship
To drain the pool, grind the white pipe next to the red circle.
now the pool can be used as a giant half pipe.
Level: Cruise Ship
Mission: Invert the high wires
After you have drained the pool by grinding the pipe next to the
red circle. Get in the pool and jump up the ramp inside it. When
you get high enough push right and down (at the same time) and
triangle to invert the wires above the pool, and pass the
mission.
Exstras,
Snowboard mode,
Successfully complete all the goals in the game and get gold
medals in all three competitions eleven times in career mode with
a different skater each time.
Small Skater
Successfully complete all the goals in the game and get gold
medals in all three competitions eighteen times in career mode
with a different skater each time.
Huge Skater
Successfully complete all the goals in the game and get gold
medals in all three competitions fifteen times in career mode
with a different skater each time.
Gives You The Rabbit
Complete the game 30 times with Tony
Lets You Unlock A Level From Tony Hawks One
Finish the career mode nine times, completeing all the 54 goals
and getting 3 gold medals and you should unlock the Roswell level
from THPS1
Let's You Access A Secret Area
In tokyo, when you start the level, look at the top left hand
corner of the screen. You'll see a big round flashing sign. To
get up there you'll have to find the halfpipe that is just below
it. Get a lot of air in the pipe to get up where the sign is and
there will be two wires holding the sign up. Hit one of these
wires and the sign should fall and open up a secret area
Let's You Access Another Secret Area
When you are on skater island's find the pirate flag and grind
it. You should get a message on your screen now look for the open
doors and you should find a pirate ship
Secret Skaters
To unlock each skater, finsh the Career mode the number of times
indicated, using different skaters and getting all level goals
and gold medals availble.

5 pumpkins can be found spread out around the level. The
locations for each are:
Outside the haunted house.
On the door step of the house with the satelight dish.
On top of a ramp that is near the barbeque.
On top of the ramp that is nearest to the haunted house.
Go behind the house with a jeep, on top of a wall is the final
pumpkin.
To smash the pumpkins just hit them. You can grind or trick into
them, or just skate over them. either way, the mission is passed.
Level: Suburbia
Mission: Heelflip the trailer
Go into the trailer park, at the far end is a trailer, with a
sort of ramp leading on to it. go up the dirt ramp and push right
and circle to heel flip. If you land on the other side of the
trailer, you pass.
Level: Suburbia
Mission: Nosegrab between the ramps
In the trailer park, build up your speed, by grinding and pulling
tricks etc. Then go up one of the two rear ramps, push up and
circle to jump from one to the other, while doing a nosegrab.

Mission: Get the Secret Tape
After you have opened up the haunted house by helping the thin
man. go inside and follow it trough until your upstairs and
theres a big windown in front of you. Jump through this window.
Outside it is a tree branch and on that is the secret tape. Grind
the tree, grab the tape then do a trick as you fall to gain
points.
Level: Airports
Secret area:
At the start, jump over the counter on your right. and grind the
baggage convarbelt. You will go through the machine to a secret
area on the roof. Here you will find a helicopter, some ramps,
some rails and the esculators that lead back inside.
Level: Airports
Mission: Stop the pick pockets
If you see people wearing all black, running around with their
hands in the air, then chase them and knock them down. You muct
get all 5 of these theifs. Two are on either sides of the
escuators on flat ground at the start. then if you carry on, go
down the esculators and into the ladies toilets you will find two
more. Then go right down until you get to the place which has
loads of ramps and is surrounded by red rails and flags. The
final guy will be hiding around here somehwere.
Level: Airports
Mission: Visit 10 countaries
Go to the bottom room which is surrounded by red poles and flags.
Jump on and grind these red poles. As you go passed a flag, it
will be destroyes, and say a message. Go passed all 10 flags to
pass.
Level: Airports
Mission: Deliver the tickets
Grind the desk to your left at the start, then make your way to
the red pole and flag room. Don't fall over, otherwise you will
lose the tickets. You will also lose them if you pass through the
metal detectors, so jump over or around any you see. When your in
the room find the group of skaters waiting for tickets, and go up
to them.
Level: Airports
Mission: Airwalk the esculators
Go to the room with the big circle in the middle (baggage claim
room) there are some esculators leading outside in here. Go to
the one in the top left corner. on the left of it is a ramp, go
up the ramp, hold down a circle and you should jump over the
esculator. Now just land it ok, and you pass.
Level: Airports
Mission: Crooked grind the baggage claim
Go to the room with the big circle in the middle (baggage claim
room) Go up to the circle, and push up and right (at the same
time) and triangle, to crooked grind the circle. once it says you
have been all the way around jump off and you pass.
Level: Airports
Mission: Get The secret Tape
In the red pole and flag room find the steep ramp on the right
hand side. When you get high enough, push right and triangle to
grind along the highest red pole. You will hit into the tape as
your grinding, and you have finished another mission.
Level: Skaters Island
Skater Island is the second of the three tournaments in the game.
The rules are:
Each run is 1 minute
skaters get 3 runs
bails hurt scores (if you fall off lots, it will deduct points)
average of top 2 scores is your final score
finish top 3 for medal (Gold, Silver, Bronse)
If you are aiming for gold, you will once again need around 70 -
80 thousand points. so to do this you are going to need a lot of
combos. try pulling off special tricks, then doing a manual (push
up then down) then do another special and so on. You could also
try grinding round the entire level, which can be done. But be
careful, if you fall off, all your points that you just earned
are gone.

Secret Area: Go to the neversoft surfboard, then grind along the
wire which has a pirate flag attached to it. go over it and it
will open up a beach and pirate area outside. So you can get more
points. There is also the last stat point pickup for this level.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: Earthquake
Around there area that you start in, is four rails. Grind each
one to start the earthquake. Each rail is either surrounding or
inside the opened building that is directly in frot of you as you
begin.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: Stop the car chase
You may have noticed a police car going on around the streets. to
stop this, at the start of the level, there is a wire, leading to
the top of a building. Follow it up, then jump from the roof of
that building, onto the subway. The subway should be deserted and
damaged, thanks to the earthquake. Skate along the subway, until
you find a green car hanging off the side. Grind passed the car,
to knock it off. This car will then stop the car chase in its
tracks.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: Free Balling
In the centre of the level are two big red balls (No jokes please
people) Jump up, do a simple trick (kickflip etc) to knock them
out of their place and start rolling instead. Another way to free
them is to gring the top of them. Either way works fine.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: Get Secret Tape
At the start of the level, grind up the wire onto the roof. Then
jump onto the freeway, subway whatever it is called. You should
see a wooden plank, which could be used as a ramp. Jump off it
and land on the oposit building. Now jump onto the purple
building. there is a part of the building that sticks out quite
far. Grind the edge of this, and it will take you to the tape.
This is the hardest secret tape to get. At least I think it is.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: Varial Kickflip the tower rails
Go to your right, you should see a blue water filled circle. Just
passed this is a building with lots of glass windows on the
ground floor. Smash through these windows, and travel through to
the other side. Now to your right shold be a ramp, go up it to
build up speed. When you come back down the ramp, straight in
front of you should be some stairs with a camera man at the top.
grind up the rails on the side of these stairs, then jump and
push right and down (at the same time) to do a varial kickflip,
then come down and grind the rail leading down the stairs.
Level: Los Angeles
Mission: One foot japan the tower
Go through the glass building, then go up the ramp. When your in
the air hold up and left (at the same time) then push square.
this will perform a one foot japan. If you do it just right, the
camera man will see you, and take the photo that you need to
pass.
Level: Los Angeles

Mission: Raise the lifeboat
Find the big black half pipe. Just above it is a control switch,
and a man trying to fix it. Grind the switch to raise the boat
into the half pipe.

Mission: Impress the neversoft girls
This is a lot like the mission in Canada, but you have more
people to impress.

outside the museum
by the lefe boats
the bow of the ship
the stern of the ship
in the greenhouse
Most will be impressed easily, with special tricks, verts or
grind combo's. But others will play hard to impress.
Level: Cruise Ship
Mission: Wreck the museum
Jump down to the swimming pool deck. turn around and go into the
boat. You will now be in a room, this is the museum. There are
two wires leading from the ceiling to the floor near the window.
Grind these to break them loose. After you have done both,
something amazing will happen.
Level: Cruise Ship
Mission: Get the Secret tape
At the start grind alng the wires that go above the pool. Jump
off onto the red mast. This is styled a bit like a half pipe,
jump up the two ramp like ends, above one is the tape, which you
will grab as you make contact.

To drain the pool, grind the white pipe next to the red circle.
now the pool can be used as a giant half pipe.
Level: Cruise Ship
Mission: Invert the high wires
After you have drained the pool by grinding the pipe next to the
red circle. Get in the pool and jump up the ramp inside it. When
you get high enough push right and down (at the same time) and
triangle to invert the wires above the pool, and pass the
mission.

Successfully complete all the goals in the game and get gold
medals in all three competitions eleven times in career mode with
a different skater each time.

Successfully complete all the goals in the game and get gold
medals in all three competitions eighteen times in career mode

medals in all three competitions fifteen times in career mode

Lets You Unlock A Level From Tony Hawks One
Finish the career mode nine times, completeing all the 54 goals
and getting 3 gold medals and you should unlock the Roswell level
from THPS1
Let's You Access A Secret Area
In tokyo, when you start the level, look at the top left hand
corner of the screen. You'll see a big round flashing sign. To
get up there you'll have to find the halfpipe that is just below
it. Get a lot of air in the pipe to get up where the sign is and
there will be two wires holding the sign up. Hit one of these
wires and the sign should fall and open up a secret area
Let's You Access Another Secret Area
When you are on skater island's find the pirate flag and grind
it. You should get a message on your screen now look for the open
doors and you should find a pirate ship

To unlock each skater, finsh the Career mode the number of times
indicated, using different skaters and getting all level goals
and gold medals availble.

The main objectives of the canada level:
Help chuck get unstuck:
very simple, all you do is grind on chucks head.
Bury that bully:
As you start the level you go down a ramp, go a decent length down the concrete then turn around, go forward and jump off the ramp you started on.in.press the grind button when you hit the tree the bully is under.
Impress the skaters:
perform moves/combos infront of a skater untill it says 1 of 7 skaters impressed
Get the secret tape:
In the area where you find the skate letter E there is a rail that goes onto a small machine.Grind it.This will raise the halfpipe you found E on and also slant one side.Get onto the same halfpipe and use the ramp to send you onto anothe slanted halfpipe, go straight through the middle of this. at the end you will find a train track, grind the rail closesed to you, you now should have the tape.
The main objectives of the suburbia level:
Fix the dish:
Go up onto the roof of the house with the barbecue in the back yard,on the roof you will have access to the 2 wires you will need to grind, grind them both so all the branches are removed.
Help the thin man:
After talking to the thin man you will realise he is locked out of his house. Go to the building site, there on a bench is an axe, pick it up by grinding the bench and return to the thin man
Get the secret tape:
(To do this you must first help the thin man)
Go through the thin mans house and jump over the fence into his yard.
at one bit in his yard there is a quater pipe with a ramp leading off it. go up that section while holding up and you will go through his window go through his house and jump out of the other window and grind the rail.
