Lines
A line is a planned out trick route to get points. To keep a
line going you must be able to do two things: Manuals and
Reverts. A manual is a flatland trick which makes you balance on
your front or back wheels (manuals can be done by pressing up
and down or down and up). You can do this into a grind or into a
vert trick to keep a trick going. Be aware, YOU CAN NOT MANUAL
RIGHT AFTER A VERT TRICK! When you are about to land on a vert
trick you must do a revert, switching your board as you land (by
pressing R2 at the exact moment the board hits the ground). If
you just revert after the landing you will get extra points but
you won't keep the trick going. So, right after the revert you
must manual fast to keep the combo going. This may sound very
difficult but once you get used to it it's quite simple. Just
practice until you get it down.

Special Tricks
Now that you have a line down, you are probably wondering what
are the best tricks to use are? Well, it's probably all a matter
of opinion, but here are some good tricks many of the great
players use. (REMEMBER THE POINTS I SHOW ARE WITHOUT ROTATIONS
(900s, 1080s, ETC. REVERTS/MANUALS ADD MORE POINTS).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) HANDSPRING LAYOUT - This is one of the best tricks that many
of the really good players use because it is part of the best
trick, the 1080 Handspring Layout 1-2-3-4 (We'll dicuss this
trick later).
POINT VALUE- (regular 3000) (switch 3600)

2) 1-2-3-4 - This is one of the most used tricks that many of
the really good players use because it is part of the best
trick. The 1080 Handspring Layout 1-2-3-4 (We'll dicuss this
trick later).
POINT VALUE- (regular 2500) (switch 3000)

3) Super Hand Clap - This is a great trick. Doing rotations with
this trick, such as 900s and 1080s really give you good amount
of points. POINT VALUE- (regular 1000) (switch 1200)

4) Assume The Position II - this great trick is a lot like the
Super Hand Clap. It is used in the same way and is only good
with rotations.
POINT VALUE- (regular 1250) (switch 2000)

5) Stalefish Frontflip - this is a good trick to do off walls
and ledges. It is worth quite a bit and is definetly worth
putting in your lines. I really like this flip.
POINT VALUE- (regular 4050) (switch 5400)

6) Misty Flip - This is a good trick to do off walls and ledges
like the Stalefish Frontflip. It is worth quite a bit and is
definetly worth putting in your lines.
POINT VALUE- (regular 5000) (switch 6000)

7) Christ Air - This is a good trick that is pretty much like
the Super Hand Clap and Assume The Position II. It isn't worth
that much but you will get a good amount of points while doing
rotations with it. I personally do not like this trick because
it is harder to land with, this is my opinion though.
POINT VALUE- (regular 5000) (switch 6000)

8) Ghetto Bird - this is a good trick to do off walls and ledges
like the Stalefish Frontflip and Misty Flip. It is worth a good
amount of points.
POINT VALUE- (regular 3500) (switch 4200)

9) Kickflip Superman - This is a trick that is like the Super
Hand Clap, ETC. The points are not that great by itself but the
rotations help it a lot. Personally I would not use this trick
because it's a little weird to land, like the Christ Air.
POINT VALUE- (regular 5000) (switch 6000)

10) Kickflip Backflip - this is a good trick to do off walls and
ledges like the Stalefish Frontflip. It is worth quite a bit and
is definetly worth putting in your lines. This is one of my
favorite flips. POINT VALUE- (regular 4500) (switch 5400)

11) Four Grinds - You need at least four special grinds to use
during the line. Any grinds will do so pick any that you like.
My favorites the Handstand 50-50.
POINT VALUE- (regular 5000) (switch 6000)

12) Casper - If you have to have a special manual, even though
they are kind of worthless, I would only use the casper. You
lose the least amount of speed if you use it, so I like it the
most out of all the special manuals. (YOU SHOULD NOT USE CASPER
FLIPS! THEY ARE A A GLITCH AND SUCK COMPARED TO BOUNCING)
POINT VALUE- (regular ????) (switch ????)

13) Other Tricks - Remember there are other tricks. Try them out
and see which ones you enjoy and ones that are good!.
POINT VALUE- (regular ????) (switch ????)

Bouncing
Bouncing is a way to get a lot more multiplyers then what you
get in just your line. Bouncing is doing a trick, such as a
kickflip, then landing in the manual, then do another trick from
the manual and keep repeating the process. Bouncing is very
helpful and probably increase your scores quite a bit, not the
base but the multiplyers. Remember, bouncing takes practice, but
helps you a lot when you can do it good.

Regular Tricks
You should put these tricks in your flip tricks section. It's
good to do them between grinds and for bouncing because they are
worth more points then the normal tricks. These tricks should be
put on the square up, left, down and right buttons because they
are the easiest buttons to use so you will get more points!
Also, get rid of any hard to land tricks like sal flips, finger
flips, ETC. They are too hard to land and are a waste of time.

360 Flip - Personally this is my favorite flip trick. It is easy
to use and gets a great amount of points POINT VALUE- (regular
500) (switch 600)

Ollie Airwalk - This is a great trick and is the same point
values as the 360 Flip. Personally I like the 360 Flip better,
but it's a matter of opinion. Still you need to have it for good
scoring.
POINT VALUE- (regular 500) (switch 600)

Inward Heelflip - This is an easy trick to land, it doesn't give
the greatest points, but is better than a normal heelflip.
POINT VALUE- (regular 350) (switch 420)

Varial Kickflip - A good flip trick. It is not as good as the
360 Flip/Ollie Airwalk but is still worth having.
POINT VALUE- (regular 300) (switch 360)

My Trick Setup
Up - 360 Flip
Right - Inward Heelflip
Down - Ollie Airwalk
Left - Varial Kickflip

The 1080
1080's are very good to know how to do, but are not vital to get
high scores. Even though you don't need it, it helps you get
your scores a lot higher. There are a few simple steps into
doing a 1080.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Get your special meter up!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2) Go to a ramp!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3) Gain a little speed!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4) Hold R1 before going off a jump!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5) Fastplant! (Up twice before going off the jump)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6) Keep holding R1 until you have enough rotations for the
1080!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Congratulations You (should have) Landed A 1080!

Some Tips For The 1080!

There are alot of things you can do to get more points with
1080s.
Always do special tricks with the 1080. You get a lot more
points compared to a 900 special trick. Also, try learning the
1080 Handspring Layout 1-2-3-4 it will increase your base points
alot, refer to the 1234 Handspring Layout 1234 section for
details!

Always start your 1080 special trick in switch mode. This adds a
few more points, so you can get more base.

You need to fastplant! Without doing this you have no chance of
even doing a 1080, it also gives you extra base.

1080 handspring layout 1234
To successfully do a 1080 Handspring Layout 1-2-3-4 you need to
1080. So if you can not 1080 refer to the the 1080 section. Now,
that you can 1080 there is one move you may be able to do that
will help you a lot. It is called the 1080 Handspring Layout
1-2-3-4. This great trick can get 55,000 points (to get 55,000
you must be in switch). Here is a strategy on how to do the 1080
Handspring Layout 1-2-3-4!

*REMEMBER YOU CAN DO A HANDSPRING LAYOUT 1234 WITH OTHER
ROTATIONS, SUCH AS THE 900*

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Get your special meter up!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2) Go to a ramp!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3) Gain a little speed!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4) Hold R1 before going off a jump, also be in switch mode!

5) Fastplant! (Up twice before going off the jump)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6) Keep holding R1 until you have enough rotations for the
1080!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7) Now press the buttons for the two tricks, while pressing R1.
(Itis good to make the tricks easy to do because you must press
them fast) EX. My Buttons Are Square Left/Right (Handspring
Layout), Square Left/Up (1234)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Congratulations You Landed A 1080 Handsping Layout 1-2-3-4!

Glossary

BOUNCING - a manuver in which you do a trick into a manual to
get more multiplyer points.

1080 - the hardest rotation trick to do.

1080 HANDSPRING LAYOUT 1-2-3-4 - the hardest trick in thps3 to
do and the trick that awards the most points.

VERT - air tricks or jumps.

MANUAL - a trick where you are balancing on your front or back
wheels, this trick keeps long combos going.

REVERT - a trick where you switch the way you are going while
landing, this keeps long combos going as well.
