2. THE RESCUE MISSION
By Rakuga - Part 2 of this exciting series of walkthroughs!!!
Gun tips:
Feel free to use the M2 Garand but I prefer the MP40 you aquire on the mission before as it is easier to take out more crowded areas.
Start by running forward then sneaking along the wall to the main gate. The main gate is locked. Run across to the gate on it’s right. This one will open. There is health on table in front of you if needed. Go through other gate so as you are behind the main gate. Run forward to wall. So far you should not have met any soldier. Poke your head around the wall and shoot the soldier patrolling on a balcony above. Head left into building with stairs in front. Three guards are playing cards on a table to your right. Mow them all down and take any health they drop. Also take the grenades. Go upstairs and shoot soldier directly in front of you. There is also one to the right of the stairs if you look up. Run upstairs and take MP40’s from the table. Continue around to padlocked door with the SAS agent in you need to rescue. Stick close to the SAS soldier. He grabs the MP40 from the table. For the rest of the mission you should just follow wherever he goes. Kill two guards at bottom of stairs. Clear out the next area he takes you to. Follow him to room with health on the table. Follow him through gates to recover explosives. Note there is another guy on the balcony as well as the guy who patrols up and down. Make sure you pay attention to what he says and do not shoot the spotlights. Run to gates and run across following his lead. Note the glowing red wall as this is your objective after you have the explosives. After avoiding search lights follow him into building. Eventually you will come to a corridor with rooms on the right. Make sure you take out the officer in the first room before the room with the documents in it. Then go for the explosives by going down spiral stairs, taking out all enemies then running up to the glowing explosives. You take one he takes the other. The enemies here will also drop health. Run back to the gate with the glowing red explosive symbol we came across earlier and press the use key to blow it up. Run away from it as timer counts down so you don’t get caught in blast. Go through exploded gate. Follow SAS agent towards the next targets for bombing. Watch out for two riflemen who appear at a door to the right for the big guns that you are meant to bomb. Note there are stairs on either side of the two guns. Each stair has a soldier at top. Take care of the gun on the left while he does the other one. Run over to the gate he stops as where he has a chat with you. After he’s finished talking it fades and that is this mission complete.

5. LIGHTING THE TORCH – LIGHTHOUSE

Walkthrough Number 5 - How to complete the entire first mission!
Gun Tips:
You will probably be stuck with Garand for this mission. Not a problem just remember the reloading technique of firing into the ground. Don’t go round a corner with 1 bullet in a clip. That’s suicide. MP40 is however more preferable so when you get a nice bit of ammo for that use that instead. Make sure you don’t run out of ammo in the middle of a fight however…
Go forward down the stairs and go straight against the wall, I will call this wallhugging from now on (definition moving along the wall as close as you can be). A guy with a gas mask comes out door. Shoot him. There’s much needed health in that door he just came out of. Open next door and shoot at advancing German. Go back into corridor and continue. On the right is yet another guard behind those boxes! There should be another one in there somewhere so be careful. Get the other one if he shows his face. Go down this corridor with the boxes taking care as lots of guards will appear. Grenades and rifle ammo in doors on right and left. Go to end and take out guard in toilet on left. Pistol rounds and binoculars in door opposite. Health in door directly in front. Retrace your steps to the beginning of the level following the radar and destroy communication equipment (it’s glowing red) by shooting at it. You can do this first if you wish, I just think it’s better to get rid of the other enemies first. Two guards will come out of lift and just need firing at. Get in lift and use glowing red handle to move down. When lift stops jump out. Using boxes and barrels as cover kill all the guards on the top floor. Then when all the guards are killed pay attention to guards below. There is about three or four of them. When area is clear jump down off balcony to below. When down some more soldiers will appear. Use the back of one of the trucks for cover. If you crouch you block yourself from enemy fire. Crouch when reloading and when enemies start shooting. Watch out for the little area on one side where soldiers will enter and start attacking you from. After using up lots of ammo claim some ammo from dead bodies and get the 25 health from in that area I just described. Go out of the exit opposite outside and follow path alongside the sea following your radar. Keep going till you see the lighthouse and two soldiers. Shoot close soldiers. Weave left and right running to advance on some distance soldiers. If you are a good shot pick them off but you might find it easier getting closer to shoot them. Health is in the first shelter on your left. Advance to the lighthouse. Run up the stairs into the lighthouse. Shoot through that weird window in front of you at the guard behind it. Go round and shoot the other guard till it says objective completed. Then run to the top of the stairs (got to hate running up spiral stairs have to move that mouse so much) and shoot soldier at top. Press use key on the glowing signal changer to complete next objective. Go through the door and shoot soldier outside. You may notice a van advancing (uh oh). Begin shooting at the van passengers and continue shooting as they jump out. Some will run upstairs some will not. Get the ones that stay. When they are cleared go back through door to where signal changer is. Slowly descend step and fire at the remaining soldiers. Go round and you see another van which runs over the metal fence. Run over to him and that’s the end of this mission and the entire of mission one!
