Weapons. If it weren't for them, all the worms would do is sit around, using their eyebrows as a mustache. Okay, that's funny, but the weapons are the heart and soul of the game. Here is a rundown of all the weapons, how to use them and some extra tips on them.

<> (Rating 3/5)
The basic weapon. It is a cannon that fires a missile which is affected by the wind. When it hits something, it'll explode, so hopefully it'll hit an enemy worm, eh? Hold down R to go into first person mode and hold A to build up power, then let go to fire. The longer you hold A, the stronger the shot will be. While aiming, be sure to use the control stick to choose where to fire and check the wind meter- don't fire it against the wind! If you go up to a worm and fire it in their face, it'll get you too, so always use it from far away. It's a bit hard to master, but with some training it's unstoppable.

<> (Rating 4/5)
This is the same strength as the Bazooka, but rarer. Hold down L to go into blimp mode, and move the control stick to select the target. Press A once, then you'll go into normal view. Hold R and aim right up into the air or away from the land and blast it at full power, even if it's going in the opposite direction of the target. It'll turn around and (hopefully) fly at the target and blow it up!

<> (Rating 3/5)
You don't need to hold A for this one, just aim it and tap A to fire it. It's a powerful cannonball that'll hit the ground and create a huge explosion, making a crater. If there's water underneath, then you're in luck!

<> (Rating 3/5)
This is just like the Homing Missile, but it's more likely to hit. However, you only need to tap A and it’ll fly off.

<> (Rating 2/5)
Aim this with R, then build up power and throw! You can tap Z to change the timer from 1 to 5 seconds, so you can lengthen or shorten the time it takes for the grenade to explode. If you're close to an enemy, then there's a better way to use grenades. Tap Z until the setting is 5 seconds, and then walk over to the enemy. Tap A to simply drop the grenade, and then run for your life! It'll act like dynamite, blowing up the worm and sending them flying.

<> (Rating 2/5)
This is exactly like the grenade, except when it explodes it drops five mini missiles onto the ground below, each exploding and making holes. Only use on thin ground where water is underneath. You can drop it and drown the enemy, if you're lucky.

<> (Rating 4/5)
Throw it, and after the timer it'll release several exploding bombs! Fun for the whole family, provided they're not the enemy.

<> (Rating 5/5)
It's good to see the weapon from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. When you hold it, you'll get a halo and a small cloud will pour rain onto your worm. It has no timer, but is the strongest grenade weapon, and one of the strongest in the game!

<> (Rating 4/5)
You get two shots with this, aim with R and press A to fire. If your first shot kills your enemy, then you'll probably have to give up the second bullet.

<> (Rating 3/5)
Aimed like the shotgun, when fired the Uzi will fire repeatedly at your opponent, and you can move it while it is firing to get multiple enemies.

<> (Rating 1/5)
Thrown like a Grenade, this explodes and lots of fire comes out and spreads around a small area, burning any worms. It's not that useful and is hard to aim, so don't bother.

<> (Rating 4/5)
This is used by walking up to an enemy and pressing A. Your worm will perform a martial arts move on the enemy, sending them flying backwards, Use it when you're near the water for an easy kill.

<> (Rating 3/5)
Use the d-pad to select the trajectory, then press A to swing. It acts like the Fire Punch, but you have to aim it so it's not as reliable.

<> (Rating 2/5)
Simply press A to swing with it. It's easy to miss, but if you get an absolute direct hit, then you can do about 100 damage!

<> (Rating 5/5)
The ultimate weapon. Used by everyone, with infinite ammo, the prod is used exactly as in real life- for annoyance. No aiming, just pressing A next to it's target. Your worm will prod the enemy really hard, doing no damage. However, if they are standing on top of a tall building or on the edge of water, then... SPLASH! SQUISH! KABOOM! (The last one may only happen if they land on a landmine). Prodding someone towards landmines will set them off. It's the perfect finisher.

<> (Rating 2/5)
Drop this with A, then run. If any worm goes near it, it'll beep, then explode. Not really spectacular.

<> (Rating 4/5)
Drop it with A, then RUN FOR THE HILLS! It'll explode, blasting the enemy for around 40 damage, possibly into the water! Drop it from a Jet Pack for the best results.

<> (Rating 3/5)
Release it with A and it'll bound down the level. Press A again and it'll explode, hopefully killing any worms nearby.

<> (Rating 5/5)
Release it with A, then press A for the ultimate weapon. The sheep will become a superhero and take off into the air! Control it with the control stick and fly around. When you see a worm you hate, carefully fly at them, avoiding obstacles until you reach them. KABOOM!

<> (Rating 2/5)
For comedy value, use the Old Woman. She'll go mumbling down the path until she explodes. She is basically a stronger sheep who you can't control.

<> (Rating 4/5)
A mad cow is like an Old Woman. It runs along and explodes, causing 75 points of damage. They go in groups, so simply pressing A and releasing two of them at an enemy will end a battle quickly.

<> (Rating 4/5)
Hold L to go into blimp mode, and then use the C-Stick to aim. Press A and a plane will swoop down, dropping five bombs on the target. Destruction!

<> (Rating 5/5)
Hold A to move around, and move with the control stick. It has a time limit, which can depend on the battle itself.

> (Rating 1/5)
This used to be the best utility on the PC version. Now it's hard to use. Aim with R, fire with A and use R and Z to move out and in. Swing with the d-pad/control stick.

<> (Rating ?/5)
Zoom in with A and out with B. It's simply used for looking around.

<> (Rating 3/5)
Good news- go into blimp mode with L and press A to warp to where you want. Bad news- it takes up a turn.

<> (Rating 3/5)
Jump and press A to use this. You'll float downwards in the wind until you land.

<> (Rating 3/5)
When you use this, your team will freeze over and can't take damage unless they are knocked in the water.

<> (Rating 4/5)
Use L and R to raise, the d-pad to tilt and turn and the control stick to move. Press A to place it. It's essentially a platform to jump on.

<> (Rating 5/5)
When you're holding it, press Y to change worm.

<> (Rating 2/5)
Skip your go.

<> (Rating 1/5)
Why? Why not just quit? WHY NOT COMMIT SUICIDE? WHY SURRENDER?

You know the drill. Some enemy worms have showed up, looking for a fight. It’s going to be tough to take them all out, but as long as you are focused, you should come out on top. Later on in the game, it comes to the point where it’s two of you versus eight of them. Every shot must count, or you’re done for. Here are some tips that you have to remember if you’re to be in with a chance:

-On your first turn, take a quick glance at where you and the enemy are. This allows to you plan what you’re going to do. If there are any enemies sitting by the water, take them out first by prodding, fire punching or hitting them with a baseball bat. This will knock them in the water and give you an advantage.

-If many enemies are on the edge, then the shotgun can provide lots of easy kills. Shoot one on the edge, and if it goes into the water, then you can shoot another one as well.

-Use the Jet Pack to reach high places, like towers.

-Prod or punch enemies off tall buildings to get them on the floor, where combat is easier.

-If you are lucky, you can prod an enemy worm onto a resting landmine, blowing them up.

-When aiming the Bazooka, aim slightly higher than the enemy if you’re shooting at full power. If you aim at the worm itself, then it’ll drop just before. Aiming it above slightly will make the rocket fall onto the enemy, doing more damage.

-Throwing grenades is tricky, but there is an easier way. Set the timer to 5 and tap A to drop the grenade, hopefully next to an enemy. It’s almost the same as dynamite, only grenades are more common. Doing this with the Holy Hand Grenade is dangerous- you do not have long to get away!

Hi! cweek2000 here, to give you some information on one of my favourite games- Worms 3D! The Worms series has been around for a long time, and now the pink little fellas have made it into 3D, the action just keeps getting better! This guide is here to get you through the training mode, and to introduce you to some worms.

<<>>
The worms themselves can be created and customized with anmes and team names that you choose, or you can select 'random' and a name is given for you. In Campaign Mode, there are some worms that you'll meet who are important to the story. Here are just a few of them...

Boggy Pete- the most evil worm who ever walked, er... slithered the earth. He has fingers in many pies... not literally though, as he's a worm. His plans include sacrificing sheep by dropping them into icy water, and stealing goods from honest, hard-working worms. You'll keep running into him until you can fnially take care of him once and for all!

Tough Guys- this group of tough worms appear more than once, sometimes in cohorts with Boggy Pete himself.

Pirates- when you're searching for treasure, these pirate worms will be out to stop you, so watch out!

Zombies- they look like normal worms, but these are actually zombies! You have to put them to rest in the only way you can... extreme violence.

<<>>
Control Stick- move your worm. This isn't too hard.
B- Jump.
B, B- Backflip.
(Holding forward) B, B- super jump.
A- use weapon
Y- Drop weapon (in air), Worm Select change
X- Weapon select
C-Stick- Camera angle
Z- move in with Ninja Rope
L- Blimp Mode
R- Aim
D-Pad- Girder movement

<<>>
The first few training missions are self-explanatory, but the later ones can get troublesome.

<>
If you fail this, then don't tell anyone. Ever. At the start, you learn how to walk. Walk around and collect the health crates, then you learn how to jump. Jump and collect the rest of the crates, backflipping to get the last ones. When you have them all, walk over to the seaplane to complete the mission. Be careful near the seaplane because you could accidently fall into the water and suffer humiliation from your mates.

<>
Throw grenades across the gap of water at the enemy worms. You have unlimited ammo, so just fire away until you get them all.

<>
In this mission, you have a time limit for each turn. Walk forward frin the start and collect the crate. Select the Homing Missile, hold L to view blimp mode, move the cursor to above the worm, and then fire the missile across the sea at a high speed. It'll turn around and hit the worm, killing him. Jump onto the house and get the Airstrike, then in a similar way to the Homing Missile, hold L and move the C-Stick until you have both enemies in the line. Press A and you'll airstrike them, killing them. Next, use the shotgun to kill the two enemies lined up on the walkway. Jump over there, climb the bricks and collect the crate to get a sheep. Turn and release the sheep so it walks towards the enemy, and press A when it is close. It'll explode, killing the final worm.

<>
Pick up the crate and build a girder, so you can use it to reach the building. Jetpack to the crate with the parachute, and then line yourself up with the next crate. Press B to jump, then A to release the parachute. Glide over to the crate with the ninja rope. Aim it at the target and start to swing. Press Z to move in and R to move out until you reach the next plane. Simply use Fire Punch to hit the worm off and into the water.

<>
This is a simple deathmatch against the Darksiders, who are on the opposite lab bench to you. It shouldn't be too hard to destroy them all.

<>
You get unlimited weapons and targets, and you can't complete this mission because it's all about practice. Just relax, test out all your weapons and quit when you're ready.
