Here are some hints and ideas for you:Never cheat unless you really have too...because it won't be much of a challenge anymore. If you do have a cheat code and you want to type it in and use it, press L and R at the same time and a screen will pop up saying, enter cheat. Then, you can type in whatever cheat you want to use. After you type in your cheat, listen closely...you should hear a sim speaking. If that sim sys somthing like: Uh-ah...that means that you maybe made a mistake, or...it's not a real cheat. If that sim says somthing like: Mokey-Hokey...that means that your cheat that you typed is now activated. If you can't think of a cheat, you could type this: Freeall-unlocks all locked items and if you buy somthing it's free every time, and even if you don't have enough money to buy somthing...it's still free and you can still get it. But if you sell somthing you won't get any money, so buy wisely! You could type in: Sims-if you just bought the Sims and...you know how it only says get a life? Well press L and R at the same time and type in Sims and you can go straight to playing the REAL game!
