RE! SO HYSA EC NATHAN! FAMLUSA DU SO AL-BHED KIETA!

I am sorry. I shouldn't have started my guide with a complicated
Al-Bhed phrase like that! After all you are here because you want
to learn Al-Bhed. So if you are wondering what that says then
look no further. I simply means...

HI! MY NAME IS NATHAN! WELCOME TO MY AL-BHED GUIDE!

This guide will teach you how to decipher them hard Al-Bhed
languages without the Al-Bhed Primer Volumes! You can also learn
how to make your own Al-Bhed sentences and also find the
locations of all those hard to find Al-Bhed Primer Volumes!
MUJAMO! (That says 'Lovely!' in Al-Bhed)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all it would be pretty useful to learn the English to
Al-Bhed alphabet. So here it is!

| A - Y | B - P | C - L | D - T | E - A | F - V | G - K | H - R
|
| I - E | J - Z | K - G | L - M | M - S | N - H | O - U | P - B
|
| Q - X | R - N | S - C | T - D | U - I | V - J | W - F | X - Q
|
| Y - O | Z - W |

Basically the first letter is the English one and the second is
the Al-Bhed one, e.g. J in English is Z in Al-Bhed. Simple :)

Here's a quick sentence for you to practise on...

OUI YNA KADEHK KUUT!

Tough? The answers below a bit.

Answer- YOU ARE GETTING GOOD!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to translate the ingame Al-Bhed speech easily then
you are going to need all of the Al-Bhed Primer Volumes. Below
you will find a list of all the locations and how many you need
to gain certain ranks!

do not get it here you can find it in the Eastern area of Sanubia

near the Save Sphere.

Al-Bhed Primer Vol.16

Location: You can find this near the Travel Agency in Lake
Macalania.

Al-Bhed Primer Vol.17

Location: This is in Central Sanubia Desert near the central part
of the left route.

Al-Bhed Primer Vol.18

Invasion' section. This can only be got here.

Al-Bhed Primer Vol.20

Location: When the Al-Bhed homeland is being destroyed enter the
first small room you come across (Not the one with the chests
that need de-coding, the other). It is in this room. Note: You
can only get this during this part of the game. The volume cannot
be found anywhere else and after the homeland is destroyed you
are unable to get it.

Al-Bhed Primer Vol.21

Location: This is once again in the Al-Bhed homeland. When you
reach the second Save Sphere have a look around the passage to
the right. It's there.

Al-Bhed Primer Vol.22

Location: This is another Volume that you must get at a certain
point. This time you will find it after the wedding in Bevelle,
down the hallway before fighting Seymour Natus.

Al-Bhed Primer Vol.23

Location: At the Calm Lands it is to the West side near the big
cliff.

Al-Bhed Primer Vol.24

Location: This one is at the secret Remiem Temple. To get to this
temple you need to mount a Chocobo in the Calm Lands and ride it
to the entrance of the Calm Lands. Now on the floor to the left
of the entrance is a feather. While on the Chocobo, press 'X'
over the feather and the Chocobo will fly to a secret area. Now
get of the Chocobo and approach the temple. Take the left route
around the temple and you will see a sphere on the floor.
Continue past this and the volume will be there.

Al-Bhed Primer Vol.25

Location: When you get to the bridge just past the Calm Lands,
rather than going over it, go under it. This will bring you to a
canyon. Go down the cave you see. When you get to the first Save
Sphere in the cave you should see the Volume there.

Al-Bhed Primer Vol.26

Location: Last one! You have to get the Airship and do a map
search around the Mt.Gagazet Area/Calm Lands. Eventually your
cursor should discover a secret place called Omega Ruins. Go
there and when you get to a split look around on the blue path.
It's there!

FAMM TUHA! (WELL DONE!)

You now have them all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here now is a list of how many of these Volumes you need to reach
certain ranks.

Lv1- 01 Volume- Al-Bhed Hujela
Lv2- 04 Volumes- Al-Bhed Pakehhan
Lv3- 07 Volumes- Al-Bhed Typpman
Lv4- 10 Volumes- Al-Bhed Maynhan

Lv7- 19 Volumes- Al-Bhed Unydun
Lv8- 22 Volumes- Al-Bhed Medanyda
Lv9- 26 Volumes- Al-Bhed Sycdan

Sycdan is the best rank you can achieve and once you have that
all the Al-Bhed sentences will become clear.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

During the game you should come across some puzzle you must solve
to unlock new areas. If you have all the Volumes then it should
be easy to understand the clues but if you are still struggling
then here they are.

Rikku's best weapon.

VICTORIOUS- Unlocks an area in Besaid where you can aquire some
nice gear.

MURASAME- Unlocks the way to Aurons best weapon.

My guide is finaly finished. I hope you found it useful and
hopefully you should be an Al-Bhed master now!

Thanks for using my guide,

Final Fantasy X
*Cloister of Trials guide*

This is my own personal work and has not been copied from any other sources. I will be telling you how to successfully complete all 6 trials, and how to get all the items in order to receive the secret Aeon Anima.

*Besaid Trials*

When you enter the cloister of trials examine the symbol on the wall in front of you. Touch it and a new symbol will appear to your right. Touch the Glyph and the wall will rise revealing a secret staircase. Go down the stairs and examine the wall mounting, which has a sphere placed on it. A short explanation of how the sphere’s work will appear (read this through before continuing). Take the ‘Glyph sphere’ from the mounting and continue down the stairs. A door with a hole in the centre is blocking your way. Place the Glyph sphere in the hole and the door will open up. Take the Glyph sphere out from the right side of the door and proceed down the corridor and turn round the corner at the end.

You should see another hole on the wall to the left. Insert the Glyph sphere into the hole. The wall will now open. Behind the wall you will find the ‘Destruction sphere’ placed in a hole in the wall. Ignore it for now and continue on your way till you find a pedestal on the left hand side. To open the chamber within, just touch the symbols on the opposite wall. The chamber will open and reveal the ‘Besaid sphere’, which is in the wall. Take the Besaid sphere and place it on the pedestal. The wall will vanish and you can now be able to push the pedestal inside. Don’t do this just yet!

Return to the Destruction sphere and take it out of the hole where you found it. Insert the sphere into the secret chamber opposite the pedestal (where you just removed the Besaid sphere from) and place it into the hole. Another secret chamber will open up at the end of the passage containing a Rod of Wisdom. You will need to get this if you want to get Anima.

Now go back to the pedestal and push it further down the passage. Place it on the mark in the middle of the circular part of the passage. It will now sink into the floor and you have completed the Besaid trials.

*Kilika Trials*

Upon entering the trials you will see a pedestal to the left. A ‘Kilika sphere’ has been placed on the pedestal. Remove it and insert it into the right of the door. The door is set alight. Remove the sphere and the flames vanish, letting you pass into the next chamber. Proceed into the chamber and inset the sphere into the hole in the wall to the north. A Glyph will now appear above where you placed the sphere. Remove the sphere again and place it into one of the holes on the sidewalls. If you touch the Glyph now a passage will open to the north. Remove the ‘Glyph sphere’ from the pedestal and insert it into the other sidewall.

Go through the passage to the north and step on the glowing switch to the right. The pedestal will appear near the glowing switch. Near the switch is a Kilika sphere in the wall. Remove it from the wall and place it on the pedestal. Now push it onto the glowing switch and the pedestal will vanish. Go back to the previous chamber and retrieve the Glyph sphere and head back to the north chamber. Insert the sphere into the hole where you retrieved the Kilika sphere. A secret chamber will open up containing the ‘Destruction sphere.’ Leave it for now.

Opening the chamber also cuts off the flames in the platform below. Walk down the stairs and walk to the end of the platform. Remove the Kilika sphere from the wall and make your way up the stairs nearby and place the sphere into the north wall, causing the exit door to go up in flames. Now go back to the secret chamber and pick up the Destruction sphere. Place it in the hole where you found the last Kilika sphere and the wall will vanish revealing a chest containing a Red Armlet. This is another item, which you’ll need to get Anima.

Now go up the stairs and remove the Kilika sphere from the wall and walk through the passage. You’ve now completed the Kilika trial.

*Djose Trials*

The first room contains two ‘Djose spheres’ that are both lodged in the left and right walls. Remove both spheres and place them into the two holes in the door to the north. Enter the next chamber and you’ll see a pedestal in the middle of the floor with parts of a symbol illuminated on the floor. This part of the puzzle requires you to light up the entire symbol. From the pedestal remove one of the Djose spheres from the wall and head east to the end of the passage and insert the sphere into one of the holes in the wall. Now get the other sphere from the middle of the chamber and place it next to the other sphere you just placed. The pedestal above you should start glowing. Next up push the pedestal in the middle of the room (which already has a Djose sphere inserted in it) underneath the pedestal on the ceiling. This transforms the sphere.

Remove the sphere and place it to the right of the door located in the centre of the room. The door will now open up. Remove both Djose spheres from the eastern passage and place them in the pedestal. Now head down the western passage and step on the glowing switch. This teleports the pedestal back to the middle of the room with both Djose spheres still placed on it. Push the pedestal through the northern passage into the electrified hole. The pedestal now acts as a platform, enabling you to leap from one side to the other. On the other side will be another pedestal. Push it into the wall. This will light up another part of the symbol in the other chamber.

Head back to the other chamber and step on the glowing switch down the western passage. The pedestal is back in the centre of the room. Remove the sphere, which you transformed by using the pedestal on the ceiling and insert it into the hole in the wall to the left of the door. Another part of the symbol lights up. Now the two Djose spheres still in the pedestal must be removed and inserted into the holes in the first chamber where you started. The symbol is now complete and the pedestal will change into a platform. Step onto the newly made platform and you’ll be taken to the next level.

The room to the north has five pedestals spread around the room. Push all of them into the wall. A set of stairs will appear next to the pedestal. Do not mount the stairs just yet. Instead go down a floor and approach the glowing switch. Near the switch you should see a Glyph on the wall. Touch it and the wall will open revealing a ‘Destruction sphere’ inside. Take the sphere and go up a floor. Now insert the Destruction sphere into the pedestal. A nearby chamber will open up containing a chest. Inside is a magic sphere. This is another item you’ll need to have acquired in order to get Anima.

Climb up the stairs and you’ve completed the Djose trial.

*Macalania Trials*

First off go down the ramp and push the pedestal into the ice spikes. Now remove the ‘Macalania sphere’ from the wall closest to you. Insert the Macalania sphere into the pedestal and push it into the remaining ice spikes. Next remove the Glyph sphere from the pillar in the middle of the room. Now push the pedestal down the ramp and follow it down. When it reaches the bottom, push it to the right to create another pillar, along with a part of the ice bridge. Take the Glyph sphere out of the pedestal and insert it into the hole in the wall to the far left. A block comes out from the floor with a Macalania sphere in it, which rises above you. Take the sphere out of the block and insert it into the central pillar on the floor below (to the left). Another part of the bridge will appear.

Go up a floor and remove the Macalania sphere from the hole in the wall at the upper end of the ramp and insert it into the central pillar from where you removed the Glyph sphere. The bridge is now complete. If you’re not aiming to get Anima go on and cross the bridge, but if you are listen up.

Go back to the central pillar and remove the Macalania sphere. Now place it into the wall on the right. Go back to the beginning and step on the newly made glowing switch for rebuilding the bridge. Step on the switch and the pedestal will be back at the beginning. Remove the sphere from the pedestal and push it down the ramp. When it travels down the ramp it will be stopped by a Glyph and then diverted to an ice pillar, from which it will take the ‘Destruction sphere.’ Walk down the ramp and insert the Macalania sphere into the wall leading down the other ramp. Step on the glowing switch nearby the first ramp to bring the pedestal to you. Take the Destruction sphere and push the pedestal down the ramp to the lower level. Follow the pedestal and insert the Destruction sphere into the hole in the wall to the left of the ramp.

A part of the platform vanishes revealing a chest containing a luck sphere. This is the item you’ll need to get Anima. Back to the middle level remove the Macalania sphere from the wall to the right and insert it into the pedestal. Push the pedestal to the right again into the pillar. Head back to the middle level again and remove the Macalania sphere from the wall next to the ramp and place it into the central pillar.

The bridge is now complete (again). Make sure not to step on the switch or the bridge will become incomplete again and will have to be rebuilt. Congrats, the Macalania trial is complete.
*Bevelle Trials*

Once your platform is mobile, go past the first turning. Turn left at the second junction by pressing X as soon as the arrow is pointing left. Take the ‘Bevelle sphere’ from the platform and push the pedestal back onto the path. Press X quite a few times, when the arrow points towards the screen. This will cause you to turn around and head south. Make the arrow face left at the first turn-off. Insert the sphere into the hole in the wall to activate the main walkway on the middle level. Head to the southern Glyph on this level and go down. Turn left once you get to the bottom and go to the second turning and turn right. Remove the Glyph sphere from the end of the passage and insert it into the pedestal. Now head for the next junction and turn right. Take the Bevelle sphere out from your pedestal and place it in the hole in the wall. At one side of you solid ground will form, Remove the Glyph sphere from the pedestal and follow the corridor where you’ll find a hole to place the sphere into. The wall will open and you can now retrieve the ‘Destruction sphere.’ Place the Destruction sphere into the pedestal along with the Bevelle sphere in the wall next to you.

Now go back to the point where you retrieved the Glyph sphere and insert the Destruction sphere in its place. A passageway will open up at the end of the corridor. Before heading up there you’ll be needing the second Bevelle sphere. So go to the first intersection on the level you are currently on where you’ll be stopped automatically. Head right towards the lowest level where the Bevelle sphere will be waiting for you to pick up. Take it and go back up to the middle level. Turn right and right again where a platform will be in your way.

Just push the pedestal across the platform to the other side and carry on as you were. Take the stairs and place the Bevelle sphere into the hole in the wall. Open up the chest to the right to receive a HP sphere. The chest will disappear leaving a glowing switch were the chest was. Step on it to make the pedestal appear. Push it to the left hand side of the screen onto a platform. Step onto it and it will carry you to a chest containing a Knight Lance. You’ll need this to get Anima. Lastly head north and you’ll have completed the Bevelle trial.

*Zanarkand Trial*

This trial is probably the easiest of the 6 trials throughout the game. Upon entering the trials you should see a monitor at the back of the room. Examine it and patterns on the floor will appear. Memorize where each pattern is. Now match the patterns up by stepping on the correct dots which are on the floor. Once you have matched them up, six pedestals will appear from the wall (three in each side) and the door to the north-west will open. Push the pedestal in the top left corner back in and proceed to the next room.

The will be another screen to the north of the room. Examine it and you’ll get an overview of the room. A pattern of shapes will appear. Memorize where they are and step on the right dots to highlight them. Once you’ve highlighted all the right shapes, a Glyph will appear on the platform in the centre of the room. Repeat this until you only have the two middle pedestals to push back into the walls. Go to the screen in the second room and remove the ‘Kilika sphere’ from the left of the screen. Take it back to the first room and insert it into the left pedestal. Now back in the second room remove the ‘Besaid sphere from the right of the screen and insert it into the remaining pedestal. Push both pedestals into the wall and a lift will now be made in the second room. Step onto it and you’ve completed the Zanarkand trials……..or have you?

You might be wondering about the secret item to get Anima. Well you can’t get it yet. Once you have access to the Airship make your way back to Zanarkand and follow these instructions. Remember those white squares that didn’t do anything? Step on all seven of them and a part of the wall will open. You have now found the ‘Destruction sphere.’ Take it and insert it into the north-eastern pedestal in the first room. A part of the wall will be destroyed revealing a chest. Open it up to get a Magistral Rod. You now have all the items you need to get Anima.
